Hello Everyone! When we last left off Lily, discovered she along with many other people were being confined in an underground lab. And if that's not the worst of it, her next door cellmate told her disturbing stories of experimentation being carried out by the men running the place. Frieza will need to come up with a good plan of locating and rescuing Lily. Question is, can he do it alone? Or will he need the help of a familiar Ally? Enjoy :)
Frieza was finally able to make it back to the hover car without delay. He gave the perimeter one last inspection to see if he could find anything useful those men left behind that would give him an idea of where they were headed. 'Just when he hoped they were stupid enough to at least drop a single business card with a location address, he came up empty handed.' Instead he found where Lily dropped her sketchpad and the small thin rectangular pouch that held her pencils and charcoal.
He picked them up and gave a long drawn out sigh. Seeing as how nothing more can be done here. He went back to the hover car and put the items back in her sack that she left behind. He was about to hop into the driver's seat but paused when he heard what sounded like...is that music? Yes, it was and it was coming from down the road. Someone was heading towards him. As they got closer he could finally make out who it was. 'By the gods, out of everyone on this world it had to be...him.' He grumbled.
By him, he meant it was none other than that man, Carter. He pulled up alongside Frieza.
"Hey man, long time no see." It was then he noticed Frieza was alone and Lily was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Lily? Thought you two were making this big trip together."
No use ignoring the man. As much as he hates to admit it. Frieza may need the little delinquent's help. Obviously, he knows this world and it's areas way more than him.
"I require assistance. We were ambushed by these group of men. They attacked us and took Lily away. Then they stole away in a large truck and headed that way." He finished pointing across the road and to the newly made path made by the truck in the dense woods.
All traces of humor vanished from Carter's face replacing it with concern. "What did these men look like and how many were there?"
"They were dressed in some type of camouflage garb. They also sported a wide variety of weapons. About ten of them confronted us. But there were more located inside the truck." Frieza informed him.
Carter leaned back in his seat. "You know your on the southern outskirts of the city, Passiah. Lately, there have been reports piling up there on people going missing. A small handful of them were some people from a friendly party of travelers I knew. It's why I'm out here. A few friends and myself formed a search party to look for the missing people. I took the southern quadrant while a few took to the east, west, and north quadrants just outside the city."
Frieza narrowed his eyes. "Why start outside the city instead of within it?"
"Because Passiah doesn't exactly have many rat holes for the rats to hide. Even so, the authorities already checked in the beginning when a lot of this started. There were less missing people at the time. But with the high number of people missing now. We know there are no hiding places big enough in or underneath the city that can hold that many captives.
Not at least without raising suspicion. I think someone would notice if a large group of people were being held in Ranar Stadium, if you know what I'm saying. Besides the newly made path you just pointed out looks like they traveled due west. Passiah is due north of here." Carter informed him.
Frieza was starting to lose patience with this man's smugness and obnoxious behavior. But right now, he was the only one here who could help him track down Lily and her captors.
"Alright then, shall I suggest we start off in the direction of that path then?" He said in biting sarcasm and irritation.
Carter just smiled. "My point exactly Freezy..."
"It's Frieza, you uneducated brute." He gritted out.
He rolled his eyes. "Okay Frieza...as you said, let's follow the path."
Carter tossed a large sack in the front passenger side to the back seat. "Well, what you waiting for? A digital invitation slip? Get in and let's get going. We need to cover as much ground as possible before it starts getting dark."
"No thank you, my car will suffice and you will follow me on the path." Frieza informed him.
"We don't have much time for this. I have a cable connector. So hook up your little hot-wheels hover car to the back of mine and let's go." Carter snapped.
Not wanting to spend another moment arguing with the buffoon. Frieza agreed and hopped into the passenger side. Carter took out the cable and hooked up the much smaller car to the back of his. Then they headed onto the path and into the woods. Carter flipped on the navigation system , had it analyze the newly made path. Then set up the coordinates and began to follow it.
"Listen man, I hate to have to tell you this. But some of these missing people. We were able to find and identify a small handful of them. Or at least what was left of their bodies. These assholes are clever, leaving them in random vacant areas spread out through the countryside. Making it difficult to get a good lead back to their main locale.
The conditions the bodies were found in, was disturbing to say the least. By the wounds and state of them. You can tell someone cut them open and sewn them back up in various areas. They were all slightly malnourished and many had odd discoloration to their skin. Someone used these people for guinea pigs. For what, we're not completely sure. All the autopsies came up with were traces of unknown components mashed together in their system. That our forensic examiners are still looking into."
"She's not dead." Frieza cut him off.
"I get you want to remain optimistic. But you also need to look at the reality of this situation..." Carter's voice was grim.
"I said she's Not Dead." Frieza said again.
"How do you know? What makes you so sure?" Carter asked.
Frieza continues staring straight ahead. "I just know."
They became quiet after that and continued the drive in silence. They drove through the path well into the night. Carter wanted to stop for camp. But Frieza insisted they kept going.
"Look man, I'm tired and you don't look like your fairing much better. Let's stop for now, get a few hours rest, then we can continue on. Won't do us any good if we happen to run into a fight with these assholes if we're zombies. A few hours, than we can resume the drive."
He will not admit that he was a bit weary from these past events. So he begrudgingly agreed to rest up for a little while. Carter got out of his hover car with a few rods under his arm. He stuck them in the ground, forming a circle around the car with them. Then got back into the driver's seat and hit a button on his wrist com.
There was a series of beeps then a familiar transparent barricade form and grew ten fight high. Effectively surrounding the vehicle.
"That will keep out unwanted visitors." Carter said.
Then he leaned his chair back as far as it could go with his hands crossed behind his head and closed his eyes. Frieza leaned his seat back and with a sigh closed his eyes. 'Don't worry Little One, we'll find you soon enough.'
How's everyone liking Frieza having to work with Carter? If anyone want's an idea or already guessed it. Frieza doesn't like Carter for the very reason he feels Carter is trying to get between Lily and himself. In other words yes, he's jealous. For some reason, when I picture how Carter looks and acts in my mind. I keep picturing the actor, Chris Pratt. So if anyone wants an idea on his appearance, he basically looks and acts like him. So I don't blame Frieza for feeling like he has competition over Lily with this sweet, handsome, and charismatic man. No worries though, there will be No Love Triangle. Frieza and Lily only have eyes for each other. Even if they don't know it yet. Until Next Time ;)
