Loki's eyes started to glow. It just grabbed him by the collar, when he was blasted backwards suddenly at an impossible speed. Loki's hands and body began to glow. He tugged with an impossible strength and the bonds broke free. He wrapped their arms around his shoulders and shot himself upwards with an incredible speed similar to It's. He glided through the water, up towards the surface, his whole body glowing and surrounded by a gust of air. He burst out of the water and carried on flying out into the flame filled sky. He turned and motioned to the bodies of the other Gang members to lift into the air. They followed him up into the air in a little chain. They went so far up into the sky with Loki that they all looked like little ants- one after the other.

Loki went right out of Helheim and flew all the way to Asgard. He flew so high into the air, into space, that he eventually stalled and fell down.

He landed on the concrete ground with a large thud.

Everything blacked out.

Loki awoke in a white room, devoid of windows, and on a white bed with straps. He struggled to get free and called out for help.

A man came in.

"Good thing you're awake son, you've been missing for three months.

WHAT?

"How?" Loki asked. He was sitting up, a cup of coffee in his hands. "What happened?"

The man scratched his beard. "I don't know, son," he said. "You disappeared on the night of the prison fire. Nobody saw you for three months."

"How did I get here?"

"You were found in a ditch in Wales. We had you brought here."

"Why I can't remember anything?"

"I don't know. Maybe you were on drugs?"

"I wasn't."

"Alcohol?"

"No."

"Well, beats me kid, but at least you're awake now."

Loki sipped his coffee, and then his eyes widened. "My brother. Thor. Where is he? Is he dead?"

The man smiled. "It's a miracle, kid. That boy was pretty much dead when we brought him in. Then one day, the same day we found you, he woke up. Edward, George and Richard, the Duke of York's sons, came back from the dead! They were dead, kid: busted, broken and murdered - yet they came back. It's as if your discovery brought them back to life."

Loki smiled.

"What's your name, son?" the man asked.

"Loki. Loki Odinson of Norway."

"Prince Loki?"

"The very same."

The old man smiled. "I'm Candy," he said, and he held out a hand for Loki to shake. As he did, Loki looked down and noticed that the man's left hand was missing…

"What Loki did, the sacrifice he made, was extraordinary," Odin said to Thor outside the hospital room. "He has redeemed himself to me, and to Asgard. He is starting to learn to accept the Midgardians for what they are. Thor, he chose the others over you, and that took a lot of bravery. He went back for you when he knew he couldn't get you out, regardless of the danger to himself. He has saved everyone. He can come back home for a few weeks- you too- for his bravery."

Thor nodded. "Thank you, Father."

Loki smiled as he watched TV and ate chocolate ice cream. He was glad that Thor was safe, and that the others were too, but he was scared. What had happened? It was him, but how did that crazy "adventure" of his start? What would Odin say to this?

He scraped the bowl of the final bits of ice cream, wiped his mouth, and placed the bowl on his desk beside him. He'd been moved out of that asylum room now that he was awake, and had instead been moved into the main hospital ward- but he still had a room to himself, which was great. He needed to rest in quiet alone.

He turned off the TV and settled down for sleep when the door opened. Loki turned to see Sigyn standing there; her eyes were red from crying. Loki climbed out of bed and started to walk towards her, when he stumbled. Sigyn ran forward and caught him in her arms. He clutched her hands and held on tightly to her, tears leaking out of his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Sigyn…" he murmured softly, burying his face in her clothing.

"Oh, Loki…" she sighed in relief. "Thank Odin that you're awake."

"I missed you…" Loki sighed, nuzzling her hands. "I thought I'd never see you again. I thought I'd be trapped in Helheim forever with It."

"What's "It"?" Sigyn asking, helping Loki back into his bed.

"It's a long story…" Loki winced ass he settled back down against his pillows.

"Well, if you want to tell me, you can."

"I will-" Loki started to say, but then he yawned, making Sigyn laugh. "But I think I'm too tired at the moment to talk."

"It's okay. I'll stay here- if you want me to."

"Of course I do," Loki smirked. He lifted up a warm hand and placed it on her cheek. He caressed her cheek with a thumb. "You know I value you more than anyone else. "

"Well, you are my best friend, Loki."

"And you're mine."

Sigyn placed a hand over his. "Of course."

Loki chuckled softly. "Ehehehehehe…. My little sparrow. Dainty, fragile, yet tough in spirit."

"Well, you're like a snake, but at times, you're quite cute- like a kitten."

"I'm flattered."

Sigyn smiled. "Kitty."

"Little Bird."

Loki yawned again. "I need to sleep…"

"Sleep then, Loki. I'll stay here for as long as you want me to."

"Thank you, my little sparrow."

"Kitty."

Loki smiled, but he didn't move. He kept his hand on her cheek. "Sigyn, I-"

Yawn.

"I want to tell you that I-"

Yawn.

Sigyn giggled. She gently coaxed him to lie down and he did. She pulled the covers over him- like a mother would tenderly to her child.

"I-"

Yawn.

"I love you-"

Yawn.

"Sigyn."

Sigyn smiled and bent down to kiss his forehead gently. She stoked back his hair and caressed his face with her thumb.

"I love you too, Loki. Sleep now and rest, my Prince. Sleep."

Loki smiled and yawned again before closing his eyes. He squeezed her hand tightly. Sigyn sat down in the chair next to the bed, still holding his hand.

"Sleep Loki. Sleep, my brave, selfless King…"
