We're back with another exciting chapter. This one will focus back on Lily down in the lab. It is here she will discover some shocking revelations by the scientists keeping her captive. A revelation that may bring a great change and impact to her life. Enjoy :)
How long has she been her now a few hours, a day? There was no way to tell time in this place. Only thing she can go off of, is when they brought her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That was the only indication on the time of day. Besides Xander, Lily had no contact with anyone else. No one has yet to enter her cell. It wasn't until a little later that night. Yes, she knew it had to be late evening because dinner was only a couple hours ago. That four people in lab coats stepped into the cell. Two were human men, One was a human woman, and the last one was an alien.
"Hello subject 563. And how are we feeling this evening?" Asked one of the men.
"Excuse Me?! I'm not some subject! I'm a human being with rights just like the rest of you!" Lily shouted in anger.
One of them tapped something out on a digital see-through pad. "If you would come with us please. Your do for a physical evaluation."
She backed up into the cot and slid down to the floor in front of it leaning against it. "Fuck You, I'm not going anywhere with you freaks."
She kept her right hand hidden behind her and was grasping for something tucked underneath the side of the cot. She found what she was looking for. Then pulled it out as the other man came and pulled her up by the arm. She swung her arm around and stabbed him in the shoulder with a fork she hid from her last meal. He screamed out and he let go. She reached out and snatched the key card hanging around his neck and shoved him back.
She punched the other man in the face and kicked the woman in the stomach. That left the alien scientist whom was not too happy and showed it by pulling out an electric prong. He lunged forward to strike her with it. But she side stepped, grabbed his arm, and sucker punched him in the throat and groin. This caused him to drop the electric prong and drop to his knees. She picked up the prong and shocked him with it. This made him drop to the floor. She then proceeded to shock the other scientists before sprinting out of the room.
One of the scientist held the wrist com to his mouth. "Security Breach, Subject escaped her cell! Lock down all the exits!"
Not a moment after, red lights started flashing and alarms started going off. Lily wasted no time in approaching the other doors and unlocking them. Freeing the other captives. Xander came out and ran to her.
"How did you get out?" He asked.
"No time! Let's try to get out as many people as we can and leave!" She told him.
Lily hoped she can get to at least all the ones that resided in the same hall. But it was a long stretch of hall and she had to be quick. She ran door to door swiping the key card over the sensor as she went along. More people ran out and began running with her. She wishes she could go to the other halls and free everyone else from this hellhole. But there were too many people and not enough time. 'We will come back for the rest,' she told herself. They followed the map on the wall and headed for the exit.
Only to meet several lines of security guards closing off the main hall. They had their weapons trained on the prisoners and were closing in. This didn't stop the prisoners though. They charged the guards attacking them. Then tried using their numbers to fight them off. But in the end, they didn't stand much of a chance with the weapons. Even if one prisoner was lucky enough to steal one from one of the guards. They were quickly tackled to the ground until they were forced to let it go. They had no choice but to surrender at this point before someone got killed.
When they stopped and put their hands behind their heads one of the guards stepped forward. "Who is responsible for this?"
No one said a word. "I said who's responsible?!" He shouted.
Lily was about to answer before they started shooting anyone. When Xander grabbed her hand and shook his head. He opened his mouth to confess and cover for her. But before he can utter a word out someone else beat him to it.
"This young lady with dark hair to the front and to your left caused this." Said a scientist.
Out came walking the scientists Lily attacked and subdued in her cell. The guard walked up to her and roughly grabbed her arms. "Then this one's going to the hole."
Her eyes widened not liking the sound of that.
"No, we need this one. She needs to be evaluated and prepped for the first round of procedures." One of the scientists said.
With that, the rest of the prisoners were herded back to their cells. The scientists walked down another less lit corridor with Lily. Who was being escorted there with two armed guards on either side of her. They arrived at some type of medical exam room. There the guards stayed. During the exam they had her hands cuffed behind her. It ran like a standard physical, like you would get at your primary doctor's office.
Taking height and weight, checking the lungs, eyes, ears, nose, and throat. Lastly, they stuck Lily in a full body tube that scanned her from head to toe. The scanner showed her skeletal structure and diagnostics.
"All clear." One of them said. Then she was ushered and strapped into a chair near the center of the room.
The restraints held her tight and she could barely move her arms and legs. Before they could start. Another man walked in. He wasn't dressed like the rest of the scientists though. He wore beige cargo pants, a cotton blue t-shirt under a thin beige cargo vest, and combat boots. He was holding some type of medium size jar. She doesn't know why, but she could tell whatever this jar was, it was ancient. It was badly weathered down and caked in layers of light brown dirt.
The top or cap had some kind of odd shape carvings and down the sides of the jar, were these strange symbols etched into the clay. "I found it, I told you I would, Moran."
Whoever this guy was. He was very excited about the find. He placed the jar on a small end table, directly across from where she was sitting. One of the other scientists took out a high tech magnify glass and raked over the symbols while the other took photos with the digital pad. "This maybe our chance. Bring a scan over."
Another scientist brought over a scan and ran it over the jar.
"What's with the ancient jar of peanut butter?" Lily asked.
They stopped their jabbering to stare at her like she grown another head. "Young Lady, are you telling me you don't recognize this relic?"
"Nooooo." She drawn out just to annoy them.
The scientist took off his glasses, wiping them off with a cloth. "Perhaps we can spare a story for tonight."
Lily just narrowed his eyes at him.
"You see, there are gods and there are demons. But just like us, they had to come from somewhere. There is one who is the most valued and most powerful of all, our Creator. She created the other gods, she created our worlds, and she created mortals. She went by many names throughout the centuries. But we know her best as , Gaea.
It's said, for many ions and during the earliest age of mortals. She maintained the balance between the mortals and immortals. Then unexpectedly, she disappeared. Many claim she went to her temple in the sky to rest. Some other's think some of her jealous immortal children trapped her somewhere in a place where no mortals can reach. This jar, was found at a deserted temple sight. One devoted just to her. Buried under several feet of dirt and debris. We don't know how it survived all this time. The make and style of it, points out it was made during the very first age of the mortals existence."
"What does this have to do with you kidnapping people and the demons?" Lily asked.
"It has everything to do with the problem with the demons. You see, if Gaea was still here maintaining the balance this war would've never broke out. These demons would not be here in our domain. She would've made sure Mephistopheles kept his demons down in the Underworld, where he resides. We hope this jar might take us a step further into finding Gaea. Once we do, she will restore the order of the cosmos and save our worlds from darkness. It's most unfortunate, that in the mean time we have to come up with man-made ways to combat the demons.
But for the last decade it has gotten worse. The demons are spreading to what use to be the most safest areas. More people are being slaughtered in droves by them. If this keeps up, they will wipe out every living thing and we will all cease to exist. That is why we must continue with our work. We need to find a serum that will make us strong enough to fight back their horde and survive." The scientist said.
"Killing innocent people is not the way to go about it. The way I see it, your no better than the demons." She gritted out.
Before he could say something his wrist com beeped. "Hey Doc, before you leave there's something more we need to discuss." Said the man who brought in the jar.
"Fine Tanner, but make it fast." The scientist said, losing his patience.
As they began their bickering, all the noise started getting drowned out. That's when she heard it, Liliana. It came out like a long, low whisper. Lily looked around, but she must've been the only one who heard it. No one else made any indication if they heard it or not. 'Liliana,' this time it was louder and it was coming from...the jar? 'Okay this is getting creepy and I want out.'
Not like she could go anywhere if she tried. She was still strapped down to the chair. The bickering between the scientist and explorer got louder. The explorer was closest to the table where the jar was. In that moment, he bumped the table and the jar came tumbling down. It hit the floor and cracked open. Then to everyone's horror, this white milky vapor came from the now broken jar. The scariest part the vapor started to take a form. It had no details, just the outline of a person.
Lily sat there in shock, never taking her eyes of the form. Then in a flash, the vapor rushed her. It felt like an out of body experience. The scientists watched on in part horror, part acknowledgement, as the straps came off and Lily began hovering off the seat. The vapor surrounded her body and was rapidly swarming and twisting around it.
Her eyes became milky white and you could no longer see her irises and pupils. She continued to levitate for another minute until a shock wave shot from her body. It blew everyone else back against the wall. Then she lowered back to the ground. As she laid there, only one thought came to mind. 'Frieza where are you? I need you here now.' Then everything went black.
Poor Lily, something supernatural is going on. Hopefully Frieza and Carter find her fast enough before something else happens. Until Next Time ;)
