Wishing a very merry Christmas

Chapter three

Rosemarie had received a telephone call on the house phone. She had no idea who is going to be calling her with Lee having left for the Seaview and the cruise. The boys were going to be spending a few days with her sister Elizabeth tomorrow and with their things packed since it the Christmas break from school. So it will work out for the best for all involved and besides William and James liked staying over Elizabeth and David's house off the marina.

She picked up the phone saying the following. " This is Commander Rose Marie Crane how can I help you?" She said.

"Rosemarie it's Admiral Nelson I need a favor from you?" He said over the phone from his cabin of his beloved Seaview.

"Sorry the answer is no Harriman. I have enough work here at the beach house and the Institute 's lab. I gave up my commision to serve on your submarine." She was annoyed with being asked to come back for this particular instant.

"I am sorry you feel this way. However I need you, Connie and a few others to balance out the crew compliment before leaving for the South Pacific for a rescue mission. I know it's not going to be easy Rosemarie with so much going on the Seaview and the marines being on board. However there are two females with the marines and I want you and Connie to help with the communications aspect of the cruise."

"And what about the boys they are leaving for my sister's tomorrow for three days. And what is Lee to say on the subject matter?" She had to asked him the subject of her husband.

It was at this particular moment Captain Lee Crane knocked on the Admiral's door as Nelson told Rosemarie to hold on for a moment. "Lee how are you?" He asked..."Please sit I have your wife on the line and I wanted to say that I have asked her that I need her skills for this trip."

"Oh! Really ! What did she say on the subject matter?" Lee was amused that his wife probably had said no.

"I need you to talk to her and have her change her mind with my wife Sylian to help out with taking care of the boys along with your wife's sister. They will have plenty of people to watch them while the Seaview is away. Even Angie has offer to help during the Christmas holiday."

After talking to her for a few moments..."What do you say Rosemarie?" Lee asked with feeling the eyes of Nelson barring down on him.

"Fine I will do it. When does the submarine Leave?" Rosemarie asked with needing to call her sister right away as an emergency.

"Two hours. Can you get here as soon as possible with bringing only the minimal of clothing for the trip since you will be wearing your uniform on board."

She took in a deep breath trying to get rid of the tension behind her neck and back. "I will be there in two hours. Please advise the shore patrol to be looking for me."

"I will Rosemarie and thank you." Lee responded with hanging up the phone to hand it back to him.

Moments later Rosemarie had her two boys explaining quickly what was going on. Both boys were excited that their mother was going back into the service even though for the Nelson Institute. "Yeah Mommy have fun on board the Seaview with Daddy." William had to say to his mother hugging her while calling and explaining to her sister.

"Are you kidding Rosemarie of course we will take them now?" Elizabeth was excited with David her husband getting dressed to have the car ready for the trip to the beach house to pick up the two boys.

"Thank you Elizabeth I am caught between a rock and a hard place right now with this cruise. I need to get ready for the cruise. How long will it take for David to get here?"

"Twenty minutes. I will let you go and good luck with the rescue mission. Love you, sis." She hung up the phone to have Rosemarie pack her things quickly.

When she gets on board the Seaview she will be sure to have Doctor Jameson examined her with finding if she is pregnant with their third child. They had been trying eight years to have a child and now all of a sudden it was happening.

Rosemarie was quick with taking out her two suitcases to pack her clothes mostly for nighttime and when she was off duty. Along with her sneakers to try running on board along with other activities. She went into the bathroom to grabbed her toiletries for the trip.

Sometime later David arrived with a gleeful smile with both of the boys happy to see him. "Alright boys get cracking with your things into the car. Aunt Elizabeth has snacks made snacks for the both of you."

Rosemarie gave them each a kiss on their cheeks along with hugs before leaving with David. Checking the time she needed to move to get to the Seaview's dock.

She had placed her things into her vehicle for which she will find her husband's red camaro at the parking lot dock. She was off and running having made sure all of the doors with the beach house was locked.

The shore patrol standing at the dock for where the Seaview submarine was waiting for Commander Rosemarie Crane was waiting for her and final crew member to arrive.

When she had arrived with going through the front gate and security. She veered off towards the dock. Her heart was racing when she reached the dock and security helping her abroad with her things.

She reached the bottom of the steps when she was facing of the face of Captain Lee Crane with an amusement of an expression on his face. Saluting directed at Lee and saying "Commander Rosemarie Crane reporting for duty." She announced to have everyone silently laughing at their stations and including Kowalski.

"Kowalski will you please take Commander Crane to her quarters and I will report to the Admiral in the Aft missile room."

"Yes, sir." Kowalski snickered with getting up from his seat to hand his ear phone over to Ron Hanson working the sonar station. Patterson was in the after missile room helping the marines with placing their equipment away...
