The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

After the authorities arrested all the scientists from the hidden underground labs. They transported all the newly freed missing people. Now we needed to figure out our next step. Thankfully, Carter asked them to at least spend the night in Passiah. Lily was pretty sure Frieza would've declined, if not wanting to get her somewhere safe after her ordeal down in that lab. So Carter unhitched their hover car from his and followed him back to the city. It wasn't a very long drive and soon they entered the city. If she didn't know any better, it kind of reminded her of New York City.

Only the buildings here in Passiah were not as tall as the large skyscrapers you would see in N.Y.C. Carter lead them to a nice hotel, not far from where he lives. They checked in and got a nice room on the eighth floor. First thing Lily wanted to do, was get out the medical garbs they had her in and shower. She plopped her bag down on the bed and rifled through it for a fresh pair of clothes and the small shower bottles.

"Do you want me to get food for you while your in there?" Frieza asked.

'This was new. Since when has Frieza ever offered to do anything for her?'

"If you don't mind. Then yeah, thanks." She said.

Without another word, she took her things into the bathroom. While in the shower, Lily leaned forward in the stall with her hands on the wall trying to compose herself. What happened to her in the last twenty-four hours was pure hell. What did happen to her in that lab? What was that strange thing that emanated from within that jar? More importantly, what did it do to her? At this point, she didn't know how much more she could take. She's far from home, she hasn't seen her friends and family in what felt like forever. Then gets sent to another dimension to a strange new earth.

She gets stuck with DBZ's most infamous and evil emperor. Turns out being stuck with him isn't so bad,. Plus, if it can't get any worse she's falling for him. Now something has happened to her that she can't comprehend. She knows there's something different about her now. She can feel it. Lily hangs her head underneath the spray and cries. She cries for home. She cries for her loved ones. She cries for herself. Lastly, she cries for Frieza and the crazy emotions she been feeling towards him.

He knew something was wrong. Ever since he got her out of that hellhole. Frieza could tell something was bothering her and something was different. He really wants to inquire exactly what happened to her while down there. But he also feels it's too soon and she will just become even more closed off. Instead, he did what he said he would do, and got her food. She took her time, but he wouldn't rush her. He knows here, Lily is safe and she just needs the space and time. Another ten minutes went by, before she exited the bathroom.

She saw the food on the desk table in the room and sat down to eat. While Frieza fiddled with the wrist com's Navigation System. Afterwards, he threw it on the bed and sat at the desk with her.

"Aren't you going to eat something too?" She asked.

"A little." He said and started picking at the food.

They ate in silence for the first few minutes. Not knowing what else they could talk about. Then Lily finally broke the silence.

"So where did you run into Carter?" She asked him.

Of course out of all the things she had to ask would be that.

He groans. "Honestly? That's the first thing you have to ask?"

She smiles. "Yep."

He sighs. "Not long after you were taken, I went back to the car. Before I could leave to follow you, he showed up. I knew for this situation, I may require assistance, seeing is I don't know this world very well. Of course, of all the people in the world. It had to be him to come to our aide."

"Why do you hate him anyway? He's been nothing but nice to us and gave us accommodations when we needed them most." She said.

"He's a smug obnoxious know-it-all. And doesn't know when to stop running his mouth." Frieza replied.

She smirked. "Remind you of anyone?"

"I certainly hope your not referring to me, Little One. Because I am nothing like that." He stated.

She snorts. "Please Frieza, if anyone has a tendency to be smug and a know-it-all; it's definitely you."

"Please do tell then? When was I ever like this?" He asked.

She started counting off her fingers. "You were very certain and smug about being the strongest in the universe. You always assumed no one could ever best you in battle and you certainly didn't hide it either. If anything, you took pride in flaunting that notion. Even when you finally were bested on not one, but several occasions your first initial response was they simply got lucky. You were always very smug that your plans were full proof and couldn't be ruined. You act like you know more than everyone else around you...should I keep going?"

By now he was glaring at her. "No, I think you made your point." He ground out.

"You know things would be a lot better for you. If you just admit your faults and just like everyone else just admit to your own mistakes, instead of putting them on someone else. And I know that you don't want to hear this but you need to. Just man up and take responsibility, both for yourself and your actions. As much as you love being in control, you need to realize you can't control everything, no one can.

I'm not saying all this to be a bitch. But it also sounds like you didn't grow up with much guidance...or at least the right kind of guidance. I know they say you can get the best advice from people you know best, like your family. But sometimes, it's also good to get outside advice from people you hardly know. They can sometimes point out things missed that people you know may have overlooked. It's just something to think about." Lily exclaimed.

"You do make some valid points. But if I didn't know any better, I'd still assume you think I can still change." He told her.

She looked him dead in the eye. "That's your choice...and your choice alone. I can't make you change. No one can. Only you have that ability alone to do so. The question is...If you truly want to? Though I'd like to add in, if you don't...Well, I think it's safe to assume your just going to keep repeating mistakes over and over again. Do you really want to live in that endless loop until you die? Because it doesn't sound like a very pleasant life to live. There are many people out there that made a lot of bad choices in life. But it only takes one good choice to turn it all around...for the better."

Frieza was left speechless yet again. 'How is it that she is always able to do this to him? It's no wonder he's starting to find her so appealing. Beauty, Intelligence, Inner and outer Strength. What more can anyone ask for? He will never admit it out loud. But she never ceases to amaze him.

"Finish your food, before it gets cold." Was all he could mumble out. Then he got up and went to sit out on the balcony, overlooking the city.

Quite a deep connection Lily and Frieza made in this chapter. But still there is more to her that he has yet to discover. What of her traumatic past. What divine intervention has entered her very being? Find out soon. Until Next Time ;)
