Chapter four

Kowalski wanted to say something to Commander Crane. But she wasn't in any mood to be asking questions. As he was taking her to Captain Lee Crane's quarters. Since she had enjoyed them some years ago before turning in her commission.

Things have changed with the expansion of the Seaview and with the 225 crew members on board and now with the Marines for a Special Ops rescue mission. They were now climbing the stairs to reach officers country with Kowalski carrying her things.

Reaching the door with it not locked like always accept for sleeping. Kowalski opened the spacious quarters having to be a slight mess with her husband being a slob at times.

"Thank you, Kowalski I am sorry I wasn't in the mood to talk. How's your daughter Joanna?" She will asked since Kowalski was divorced from his wife Caroline.

"She fine Rosemarie. Would you believe she's going to be turning eleven years old in a few weeks? She is currently with her mother as part of the joint custody while I am away on cruises."

"Amazing! Do you know any more about this cruise other then the rescue mission?" She asked Kowalski turning to face her with a look of being scared for the first time in a long time.

"Other then the fact terrorists are involved with taking the Civilians mostly all doctors working on Nuclear and Atomic research Rosemarie. I don't know anything further on what the doctors are working on. Maybe Admiral Nelson might know the answer.

"I will when I get the chance. I will need to wash up before heading over to the mess hall. I have no idea what the Captain has in mind with eating. When are we supposed to be moving out?" She asked but then all of a sudden she heard the announcement over the intercom in regard to moving out. "I guess that answers my question Kowalski. Get going before my husband or Commander Morton send an attachment of security to come looking for him.

"No kidding." Kowalski will announced with needing to go now and back to his station.

Afterwards she had changed into her loose uniform having some some weight over the years. However that is going to change once she finds out being pregnant on an submarine and with Admiral Nelson signing her commission for this one cruise.

Once she was fit and ready. She didn't lock the door once again with heading for the sick bay to speak with Doctor Jamieson finally retiring after forty plus years of service. Since she wasn't on duty until tomorrow ship's time. It was going to give her the chance to have the doctor to confirmed her suspicious.

Walking the hallway heading for sick bay and a number of crew members all male coming out to get shots for the trip. It was a standard procedure whenever anyone will be going on a shore patrol into the jungle.

There was a number of confusion when she had seen Doctor Anthony Sterling having been confirmed with taking over as Chief Medical Officer. "Hey Doc!" She called out to him with a surprise look on his face with twice being shocked with Commander Carol Morton back into service as well.

"I didn't know Nelson was going to recruit you back into service Rosemarie?" Doctor Sterling will give her a huge hug...

"Well you know how Admiral Nelson is at times? And besides my husband isn't all too thrill either. By the way where is Doctor Jamieson?" She needed to asked with needing to talk with him.

"In his office reading "Moby Dick" of all things after all of these years." He will joke...

"Hey! I was reading Moby Dick myself a few days ago and I loved it again." She smiled leaving him with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

She walked away to head for Doctor Jamieson's office with the door closed to drown out the noise from the crew members. She goes to knock on the door when he said to whomever to come inside already with his craggy response.

She walked inside to be surprised to see her since it's been awhile. She had cut her black hair a little along with losing weight. "How are you, William?" She will walk over to her favorite doctor and friend from over the years.

"Pretty good with this being my last cruise and I hope all of us stays in one piece unlike the last time with your husband getting abducted?" He will announced with a huge and warm hug before telling her to sit down.

"I need your help while I am here. I wasn't able to see my baby doctor before I was ordered actually to come on this cruise. I was going to see Doctor Silvers tomorrow at the clinic to be tested. I did take two positive tests and I need you to make sure that I am with being pregnant with the third child. This is supposed to be a Christmas present since we had been trying for almost nine years doc."

"Sure enough come on let's go into the lab and check you out with the ultra and sonogram." He had placed his Moby Dick novel back onto the shelve to walk Rosemarie into the lab without being too much traffic with the crew members.

While they were inside with locking the door. Rosemarie told Doctor Jamieson to keep it quiet without Captain Lee Crane finding out.

"Don't worry he won't find out. Take off your uniform and into this gown so I can set up both machines for the testing. We will know within minutes since this is up to date equipment from the Institute." Doc will have said with Rosemarie going into the bathroom to change and into the hospital gown.

Meanwhile Captain Lee Crane was looking for his wife when he stopped Kowalski and Patterson coming back from the aft missile room. "Kowalski have you seen Commander Rosemarie Crane?" He needed to asked with the question.

"The last time Captain was when I had dropped her off at your quarters. Why don't you page her sir?" Kowalski suggested with the idea and Captain Lee Crane going over to the nearest mike.

"Will Commander Rosemarie Crane tell me your location prompt?" He will have his answer in a moment.

"This is Commander Crane how can I help you?" She will have to say with Kowalski and Patterson watching the Captain's face.

"Please report to our quarters as soon your done with your errands. Over and out." He will place the mike back into its place.

"I will be there in ten minutes. Over and out." She stated over the intercom and with Doctor Jamieson with an amusement looking at her and the results.

"Well Doc! What's the answer with the results of the Ultrasound and sonogram?" She was very anxious before meeting her husband do doubt for dinner.
