Chapter Sixth

Everyone had enjoyed their dinner along with the conversation. Colonel James Reeves was enjoying himself as well with conversing with Commander Crane about her different projects. Rosemarie was eating slowly with the conversation her husband feeling slightly jealous that his beautiful wife was taking the time to talk with Reeves.

There isn't too many people she is able to with understanding all of her work over the years. "So tell me Commander Crane did you ever considered joining the marines early on in your career?"

"I was thinking about it Colonel. However I decided to go into other aspects overseas and here in the states with the Navy before meeting my first husband David a diver for the Navy. He was killed eight years into the marriage when a salvage wreck broke apart to kill and two others instantly." She became silent afterwards with Admiral Nelson finishing with his coffee and dessert to be a pecan pie.

Meanwhile Doctor Jamieson had left to head for his quarters after a long day and needing to sleep with the cruise underway.

Colonel Reeves needed to sleep as well after the meal with saying good night to everyone and including Commander Crane. Carol had left as well having been quiet with wanting to get back to her quarters to relax.

She shook her head along with a firm handshake before he walked away to say good night to his own marines before turning in they had at least six days before they reach the destination of the island with the civilians.

Lee asked his wife on whether she was alright or not with her stomach can handle the nausea. She will say with the excitement of the cruise and the combination of the long day. She had gotten up telling her husband that she was fine with Christmas Eve tomorrow and she didn't know how much longer she was able to hold out with the wonderful news.

When they had first gotten married. They had talked about having three kids. However after James their second child another boy was born. It wasn't until eight years later when it had happened. And no doubt her husband Captain Lee Crane will be thrilled with the idea.

"I am fine Lee. I am going to turn in and take a recycle shower before sleep unless things have changed since I have been on this submarine?"

"No it hasn't Rosemarie. It's still the Seaview even though a much bigger version of the original. I will take my usual walk around the submarine before turning in for the evening. Do you want me to wake you at all?" He asked with being concern for his wife after a long time together.

He had remembered the very first time he had met her at the Institute having transferred in from Norfolk Virginia.

She had decided she needed to blow off some steam with going running inside the apartment complex. She wasn't due at the Lab's Institute the next day with meeting up with Doctor Jamieson and Doctor Anthony Sterling along with others. However she quickly met up with Captain Lee Crane driving his jeep around his apartment section of the living quarters. When he almost ran down a beautiful long black hair woman running in shorts and a short sleeve blouse all in red and wearing a bottle of water and protein bar in a fanny pack around her hip.

He had to stop to make an apology for almost her over. This is where they were able to exchange names, telephone numbers and with Crane asking on where she was interested in dinner at his apartment this evening since it was early morning. She had agreed and the rest is history and among other things as well with their sexual chemistry together with that first date and into their marriage.

Coming back to reality with hearing of his wife's answer. He smiled with walking away to make his nightly walk of the submarine.

Meanwhile Colonel James Reeves heard in the quarters of his marines a game of craps was being played by four of the marines when they are supposed to be resting. But instead he joined them for a few moments before backing out needing to sleep himself. While everyone else broke up the game to do what was necessary with the lights being lower to conserve energy for the evening. And those working the over night watch.

Captain Lee Crane had stopped by the reactor department being patrolled by two security officers. He didn't bother to talk with them to continue on to engineering and then finally the aft missile room with only Chief Sharkey and another crewmember working. Chief Sharkey didn't realize it that the Captain had walked in with opening the heavy hatchway and walking inside. "Captain how are you this evening?" Knowing full well he would never miss his nightly walk unless he was sick or injured.

"Just fine Chief. Is everything stored away with the equipment from the marines?" He will asked with Sharkey telling him with a positive answer before leaving to head back to the Control room with Executive Officer Stu Riley taking over from Commanders Harrison and Commander Morton.

"How's it going Executive Officer Riley?" He was standing over at the plotting table.

"All stations have been manned this evening sir. It pose no problems in case of a possible attack in these waters." He will have mention even though they were into international waters.

"Well carry on Mr. Riley. I will be sending out the log now before forgetting to do so or else the Admiral will have my hide." He joked with pulling out the log and signing and dating it. As he takes the spiral staircase to Officer's country and his quarters for where his wife was waiting for him and hoping she was awake.

However she was awake and in a mood all of a sudden to have sex with her husband on the submarine like they used to do on the Seaview.

She was counting the minutes under her breath as he heard him walking inside their quarters and with locking the door out of habit for nighttime. Moving out of his uniform, socks and boxers. He placed on his sweat pants with no top with his chest hairs flying around for Rosemarie to play with.

Moving inside the bedroom with the expansion of the submarine. He found her awake with having turned down the lights low for the romantic mood and moving over to the queen size bed and under the blankets before warming up between the sheets...
