Ever since that night when Gaea made her appearance known. Lily and Frieza started growing closer. He'd do little things here and there that she found cute and amusing. The playfulness was back full swing and they done a lot to make each other laugh. They also started opening up a little more about themselves. How his father always expected so much from him. How he wouldn't tolerate any less or weakness. Telling him he had to take control by any means necessary. Like hurting innocent civilizations to get a point across and make them fear and respect him.
How if you weren't powerful enough, they wouldn't take you seriously. Apparently, his dad has been feeding him this bullshit since he was a young child.
"Eventually I just went along with it. Because it was all I really knew by that time. And I admit, I liked that I was gifted with such prowess. It really did make me feel like I could do anything. After a while, I knew it was wrong, but by then I just didn't care." He explained.
"So by definition you really were the universe's biggest prick?" She teased.
He poke her side making her jump away from him. He found out not too long ago that her sides were ticklish. He jabbed her with his finger once there before and jumped stifling a small chuckle.
"I can't say I care very much for your commentary, Little One. But the name calling doesn't surprise me. Seeing as I've been called many things over the decades. Especially by my own soldiers when they thought I wasn't listening." He stated.
She leaned in close. "Well, could you blame them? If I worked under an asshole like that. I'd be talking shit about them too ."
"And just like the rest of those ungrateful fools. I would've punished you too, for such insubordination." He said.
She snorts. "Oh, I'm so scared. Practically shaking in my boots. Your not as intimidating as you think you are, Lizard Boy."
He smirks. "That's something that could easily be remedied."
She raises an eyebrow. "Why, you want me to be afraid of you?"
"Not in the way your thinking." He said.
"What's that suppose to mean?" She asked.
"Nope, I'm not saying another word." He said.
"Do I need to drive you crazy to get it out of you?" She teased.
He snorts at that. "You've been driving me crazy since the very beginning. When we first landed here. I doubt there is much more you can do to make it any worse."
"You'd be surprised. I can come up with pretty inventive ideas." She pushed.
He started laughing. "Yes, Little One. I've noticed, and that is why I will not let you use the barricade rods ever again."
"Hey for a while there I thought they made good practice weapons! It was one time!" She yelled.
"For you, one time is one too many." He said with laughter in his voice.
"Don't think I didn't catch you the other day trying to use them to spear fish in a nearby river." She muttered.
"What was that?" He asked.
"Nothing, your wilderness survival skills are great." She said with sarcasm.
"This coming from someone who unknowingly wiped their bottom with poison ivy a couple months back?" He said with a smirk.
Her face got bright red in embarrassment. "How did you know that!?"
"Because you were complaining how you ran out of soft paper to use but found some useful bright green leaves instead. Next thing we know, your constantly scratching your bottom for the next several days." He said, by now he was laughing.
By now her mouth is hanging open. "I really hate you right now."
His smirk widened. "Personally, I found it particularly hilarious when you kept moving your bottom in circles on the seat. It was a very good impression of a dog dragging it's hindquarters over a rug." If he weren't driving right now, she'd throw something at him.
She smiles. "I'll remember that next time I have to help you get the tip of your tail out of the shower drain after being stuck."
"Are we done pulling dirt on each other yet? Because now would be a good time to ask, if you want to stop here for the night." He said.
She was about to answer, when a voice told her go a few miles further. It's there they will find a nice hot spring in a small but safe cave. "Let's go a little further. I'll tell you when to stop."
He just shrugs and keeps going. After about twenty minutes, she told him stop. About a mile east off the road were some huge rock formations. She told him to drive out there. Once they stopped at one formation she hopped out and went around to the other side of it.
"Where are you going?" He asked, curiosity piqued.
"Just follow me." Lily said.
Wanting to keep a close eye on her, he did. They went around to a small somewhat hidden entrance in the rock crevice. Once they went in, they were amazed by the beautiful sight in front of them. It was a cave, but there was no ceiling. It was all open, lighting up the whole area with bright moonlight from the large full moon shining above. On the ground and walls of the cave, were large patches of soft green moss. Beautiful large white flowers were growing from the moss and roots that litter the cave walls and ground.
Off to the side, a small brook was coming from a crevice in the cave wall. It was billowing out and into a small round spring, a few feet below it. But the coolest thing about it; was the water in the spring. It had a bright bioluminescent glow to it. Making the water light up bright blue. Multi-color butterflies and lightning bugs were surrounding some of the flowers. It looked like a place straight out of a fairy tale book.
"Well, at least it looks like there are no other entrances in this cave besides the one we came in. So at least it will keep us safe and concealed from those wretched creatures." Frieza said.
Not caring much for the view. "Seriously? That's all you have to say about this place? It's absolutely beautiful here!" She said.
He crosses his arms. "Forgive me, but it closely resembles my hell on earth a little too much."
"How can this be compared to any kind of hell? It's so peaceful and serene." Lily added.
"My point exactly." Frieza stated.
"Fine, be a stick in the mud. I'm going to check it out. Feel free to look around." She told him.
The place was small and convenient. Lily ran her fingers over the flowers and moss as she went around. She then made her way to the beautifully lit spring. She bent down and stuck her hand in. It was warm. It was a hot spring.
"That spring must get it's water source from deep underground to heat it up like this." Lily said, more to herself.
Not knowing he was right behind her, she was startled when he spoke. She jumped up losing her footing. As she was falling forward, he tried grabbing her. Only for him to lose his footing on the slippery soft moss surrounding the spring. They both ended up toppling into the water. She came up sputtering.
"Next time give me a warning you decide to sneak up behind me." She said.
"Not my fault you don't pay any attention to your surroundings. Your easily distracted, Little One. On the bright side, at least your getting a bath. You said you been dying for one for weeks." He said with a smirk.
"Yeah, but that didn't involve soaking my clothes in the process." She snapped.
He shrugs. "You have more dry clothes. Just hang these out over night to dry when your done."
She just let's out a long sigh. "It's nice and shallow isn't it? Only coming up to our midsections."
"I suppose." He said.
She looks at him only to find he had a rather conflicting look on his face.
"What's wrong? Looks like something is really bugging you. You been like this for the last few days now. You try to hide it, but every now and then I'd catch it. Like there's something on your mind you really want to get out. But you don't. Why?" Lily asks.
"Things are just very complicated lately." He said.
"I get it, being stuck on a new world and powerless was hard these last few months. But look how far we've come. Despite the odds, we made it out just fine. We will be there very soon. Back in our own worlds to our own lives." Lily assured him.
"That's not it. At least that is not what's conflicting me at the moment." He told her.
"Then what is? I like to think we can talk about anything. Whatever it is, I'll be here to help." She said.
He finally looks into her eyes. "It's not a question is if you can help. It...more or less involves acceptance."
She squints her eyes, "What do you mean?"
But something tells her she may already know. 'He doesn't know how to express his feelings. He doesn't know how to tell you he loves you, Liliana.' Said the familiar voice of Gaea in her mind. 'Whoa! Wait, Love? Where did that come from?' 'But he does child, it's clear as day in his eyes and his soul. You don't have to be afraid anymore Liliana. You can trust him, he will never hurt you.
And I know in your heart you love him back. He's been there for you from the beginning. He protected you and nearly died for you. You may think it has to do with his self preservation. But it doesn't. He protects you because he loves you and is afraid he will lose you.' Lily was so lost in thought, that the hand cupping her cheek is what brought her back to reality.
"Lily what's wrong? Why do you cry?" He asked softly.
There was concern in those crimson eyes. Gaea was right, but not only tha;t she just knew. She could feel it in her heart.
"I'm just a bit conflicted about some things too." Lily confessed.
He nods. "Remember, when I said sometime ago that emotions were for the weak?"
She nods her own head.
He swallows. "Well, come to find out I was wrong. They are not a weakness. I believe they are part of what has kept us alive this long. The more I tried fighting it, the stronger they became." He sighs. "Damn clearly I'm no good at this I.."
She cut him off with a deep searing kiss.
They could've sworn fireworks erupted behind their eyes. Their pulses quickened and their bodies tingled from the mind blowing kiss. Frieza instinctively wrapped his arms around her back and pulled her in closer. She rested both her hands on his cheeks while his hands rubbed up and down her back. After a long moment they pulled back for air, leaning their foreheads together.
"Has no one ever told you. Sometimes, its easier to explain things with actions than words?" She said with a small smile.
He returns the smile. "I'm a fighter, a lot of my actions are explained through combat. Though this is by far much better."
They began kissing again. Eventually he dragged his mouth away from hers and started trailing it down the side of her neck. Causing her to to gasp and grab his shoulders. Then Lily tapped his shoulder for him to stop. He was confused as to why they stopped at first. Until he realized maybe he took it too far and too fast. Then she backed up a little and reached down into the water. When she brought her hand back up. She was holding one of her shoes. Lily tossed it on the moss just outside the spring and did the same to the other.

"For now, lets just get some rest. We still have the rest of this little trip to figure things out." He told her.
She sighs and lays her head back down on his chest and drapes her arms around his waist. "Good Night, Lizard Boy. I Love You."
He huffs out a laugh at the old nickname. "I Love You Too. Good Night, My Love."
They laid there under the moonlight fast asleep. Wondering what the next few weeks will bring them.
