They woke at the crack of dawn as soon as the sun broke, they ate breakfast while going over good battle plans if they hit any trouble while there. Though Gaea informed them to leave the demons to her since she is the only one who could vanquish them.
"But what about this sorcerer? Since he sent us here, you would think he'd been watching us the whole time. He may show up there since he was the one to inform us of the Sacred Area to begin with." Said Vegeta.
"Then I will leave you to battle this sorcerer. It is after all your fight. Though I will remind all of you if any of you require assistance I will be there to intervene." She told them.
"What if we don't want you to intervene?" Asked Frieza.
"Don't forget her life is tied to mine." He lied to cover up the fact he didn't want to see her fight only to get hurt.
Gaea knew his real reasons. She could read his expressions and mind like an open book. She gave him a reassuring smile.
"Nothing will happen whilst I inhabit her being. I give you my word. Though I'd like to point something out. You say this sorcerer told you he tethered your life forces together?" She asked.
Frieza just nods.
"I can tell you with certainty that this man lied to you. I found no such magic tying you two together. He may have only said that because perhaps he needed you two alive or because he believed it makes the game more interesting. There could be a number of reasons. But your and Liliana's life are not tethered together. You never were. It was all a rouse made up by this sorcerer." Gaea informed him.
Frieza stared at her mouth agape. "How long have you known this?"
She shrugs. "I've known for quite sometime now, since the beginning really. Had I known this information weighed so heavily on both your minds I would've told you sooner. But you both seemed to be preoccupied with everything else going on around you that I never figured it bothered you this much not knowing."
"So if I pummel Frieza to a bloody pulp until he's almost dead, Lily will still be fine?" Asked Vegeta with a grin.
Frieza just glared at him and gave him a, 'just try it' look. She sighs. "We have no time right now for old rivalries. We must get ready to leave. I suggests you pack up the rest of your things and get ready to be transported."
They agreed and finished their food and packed up. She then made a small gesture with her hand and within an instant they disappeared. Once they reappeared they scoped out their new dwellings. They were in a large wide open circular area of woods, about the size of several football fields combined. The ground they stood upon was made of strange ornate stone with unknown carvings in them.
In random areas, there are some busted but still standing pillars and broken columns laid strewn all over the place. It look like this once beautiful place had a bomb dropped on it.
"Here we are. The Sacred Area, just as she said." She replied.
They turned around only to see it was Lily who spoke and she was back to normal. Meaning the Goddess retreated back into her shortly after arrival.
"But here's the thing. What do we do now?" Asked Goku.
Before Lily could answer the ground began to shake. Stones started floating off the ground and there was a crackling static to the air. Then with a blinding flash of lightning a new figure emerged.
"You were not suppose to make it here." Said a low angry dangerous voice.
They looked up to see none other than the sorcerer. He touched down to the ground and appeared really pissed off. "You were all suppose to die on this world. I thought I made sure of it when I took your powers. The demons should've been gnawing on your bones right about now."
Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza crouched down to fighting positions.
Vegeta smirks. "Guess it shows you. Never underestimate the durability of a saiyan."
The sorcerer sneers at all of them.
Frieza begins to speak. "While we are all here, I say before we begin, perhaps now you will explain to us why it is you brought us all here to begin with?"
The sorcerer gives them a leering grin which almost looks more like a snarl. "Isn't it obvious? I wanted you all out of my way. With your universe's strongest fighters gone, it would have been easy for me to take over the other worlds from your precious universe. You see, the bulk of my magic comes from the energy rich planets. The more planets I sucked dry the more powerful I became.
Even so, I was able to travel from one reality to another to find fresh new planets to gather energy from. Though I'll admit, your universe is rather unique. I've been to a handful of different dimensions already, and have never encountered such powerful fighters like yourselves. You were a threat to my plans. A threat I had to discard so I had no trouble getting the energy I needed from your home worlds."
They were all very disgusted and horrified by this insidious plan. But it still left some questions unanswered.
"You forgot one thing. Where does Lily fit into all of this? Why did you drag her from her own reality to ours to begin with?" Asked Goku.
He shot his eerie gaze towards her. "She was merely a distraction for you two. You see at the time, I needed more energy to perform my little magic trick to send you here. I figured a strange girl from an unknown land would do the trick. Her strange energy patterns which are so unlike any of yours from your universe gave me the perfect cover I needed to acquire that extra energy. If anything, I think I deserve a Thank You, Liliana. If it weren't for me you would've been dead in your reality. You would've been road kill, and by now lying on a cold slab being identified by your loved ones."
Lily couldn't stop the tears from coming. At this point, Frieza was ready to attack.
"I'd like to add, that having Frieza thrown out here was an extra bonus. I really just knew about you two. Until he showed up and fought you. So it was luck that I was able to do away with all three of you plus the girl." The sorcerer confessed.
Vegeta started to talk. "You forgot another problem, sorcerer. The gods in our universe would not take kindly to you coming in and decimating their worlds. We know a certain destroyer who would be rather pissed that you tried taking over his job. Even if you do defeat us, your still mortal and no match for the gods."
He shakes his head. "You see, that is where your wrong Vegeta. That's what the Super Dragon Balls are for. I've been patiently waiting to be able to use them again. Why worry about pesky meddlesome gods when I could simply wish them out of existence."
They all gasped in shock. "You wouldn't! You can't!" yelled Goku.
Frieza moved over to Lily. "Lily, go find somewhere safe to hide."
She looked at him like's nuts. "What? No way? I'm not leaving you guys here."
"This isn't up for debate, it isn't safe here." He snaps.
"He will kill you all. You still don't have any of your powers." She said with worry in her voice.
"Even if he does happen to get all of us. At least you'd still be safe. If the goddess says she can send us home, at least you will be able to go back to your own reality back to your old life." He told her.
"My old life? And what's to stop him from coming to my reality and destroying everything there? Then I really will have no home to go to and my friends and family will all be in danger. We have to stop him here and now." Lily said.
" I agree with that, but he's right Lily, this isn't your fight. You need to find somewhere safe." Vegeta said walking up to them.
She looked ahead of him to see Goku engaged with the sorcerer. Though without his inhuman strength, speed, and power he wasn't doing so well in the fight.
"Please Little One, for once push your stubbornness aside and listen to me just this once." Frieza pleaded.
She clenched her jaw holding back tears. "Okay, but if I see any of you in serious trouble, I'm stepping in."
She turned and began jogging to a small pile of broken columns out of range from the fight that's taking place.
"Never thought I'd see the day the Almighty Frieza bends to a mere human woman. And don't try to deny it, we're not dense and your not as discreet as you think you are." Vegeta said.
Frieza grits his teeth. "Don't we have a fight to get to? I'd focus more on that right now than anything else."
It was then they heard a crash and saw Goku fly into some pillars. He was struggling to get up. That's when Vegeta and Frieza decided to join the fight. They both attacked the sorcerer simultaneously. But their movements were still too slow. Frieza threw a right punch at the sorcerer while Vegeta threw a left. He grabbed both their extended fist and with a lot of force, slammed the two of them together. Frieza's visions went black momentarily from the impact and Vegeta gasped from the pain that shot through his collar bone and shoulder.
The sorcerer than kicked Vegeta in the gut, sending him sailing through the air into another pile of columns. Frieza tried to slam his elbow down onto his head. But he quickly side stepped, grabbed Frieza's arm and twisted it back until he heard a sharp cracking sound. He grit his teeth as white hot searing pain tore through his arm and shoulder. Than he threw Frieza at a charging Goku knocking both of them back into the ground. Vegeta jumped the sorcerer from behind putting him into a head lock. He wasted no time slamming his head back into Vegeta's face.
With a snap his nose was broken and his lip busted. Blood was gushing from both wounds. But Vegeta refused to let go. So the sorcerer backed into some pillars, slamming Vegeta into them. Trying to get the saiyan to off his back. It wasn't until the third slam, Vegeta loosened his grip and began coughing up blood. He then grabbed Vegeta's arm and threw him over his shoulder and into another stone pillar. The force of the impact knocked the wind out of him and he was sure a couple ribs were broken.
Everyone was struggling to their feet now. The sorcerer than looked around as if looking for something. He spotted her a few yards away behind a pile of broken columns. He then materialized his staff and aimed it in Lily's direction.
"Sorry Liliana, but your no longer of use to me." With that, a beam of strong energy erupted from the staff and traveled with great speed towards her.
"No!" Frieza rasped out as he tried to run to her.
But he ended up stumbling and falling instead. Lily stood frozen in fear as the massive energy hit her spot before she could move out of the way. There was a loud explosion and when the dust cleared away there was a huge pile of rocks, columns, and pillars where Lily once stood.
"NO, LILY!" Shouted Goku, as he stumbled to the wreckage.
While Frieza dropped to his knees staring at the wreckage. If he lived a hundred more years, he would never feel the most agonizing pain he was feeling right now in his chest where his heart was. It was like someone shoved their hand in and ripped it right from his body. For the first time in his long life, tears fell from his eyes.
"Lily." He croaked out.
He squeezed his eyes shut and clenched his jaw. He clenched his fist so hard together his nails dug into his palms causing them to bleed. Next thing anyone knew the ground started to shake. By shake; the tremors were huge and rocking the whole foundation they were standing on. Frieza began to glow, his aura turned colors and crackling energy was surrounding his body. Goku was ignoring what was happening for now. Instead he was focusing on digging Lily out, hoping she was somehow still alive underneath the rubble. Vegeta watched from where he lay on the ground. 'What is that massive energy?! Is that coming from Frieza?!'
His aura started glowing brighter and getting bigger. It was flickering between purple, gold, and...light blue?
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" He screamed to the sky as large shock waves shot from his body.
It kicked up dust and debris temporarily covering Frieza from view. By now Goku pulled a limp but surprisingly alive Lily into his arms and was now watching the spectacle that was happening before his very eyes. When the dust and smoked cleared, everyone was shocked to what they saw. They expected to find Frieza in his 'Golden Form', instead it was something entirely different. He stood surrounded in a white/light blue aura.
Frieza's skin looked clear, almost translucent, and was shiny...No it was sparkling. It was a whole new form! Completely different from his 'Golden Form'. With that one, he usually bulked up a bit more. But with this new unknown form it was the opposite, Frieza was leaner and sleeker. His gaze softened when he spotted Lily in Goku's arms. He then turned to face a slightly perturbed yet amazed sorcerer.
"I must say, though I'm shocked you were able to gain your powers back. I'm more interested in this shiny new form of yours. It just reeks of power and energy. Energy that I now want." The sorcerer said.
Frieza crouched down into fighting stance. "Then come and get it." He said in a low eerily calm voice.
The sorcerer gave a mock bow. "Gladly."
He got into fighting position. But before he could move, Frieza was right there just inches from his face.
His eyes widen. "Impossible, no one can move that fast..."
Before he could finish, Frieza punched him in the gut sending him crashing into a row of pillars. The sorcerer's body managed to shoot through all of the solid pillars as if they were tissue paper.
Frieza then quickly made his way to Lily and Goku.
"She's still alive." Confirmed Goku.
Frieza put his hand on her head pushing the hair from her face. It was then they heard an enraged scream and the sorcerer shot up into the sky. Frieza met him halfway in the air. The sorcerer angrily wiped blood from the side of his mouth.
"You fool! You will pay for that!" He screamed.
He materialized his staff and started to shoot massive waves of energy at Frieza. He dodged the blasts with ease, spun and kicked the sorcerer right into the side of his ribs easily breaking a few in the process. He grasped his side, hissing in pain. Gave Frieza a glare and raised his staff to fire again. But instead of firing at Frieza he turned and fired right down at Lily and Goku. The blast didn't make it far because Frieza popped up in front of the blast, swatting it away from them. He then materialized right in front of the sorcerer. He slammed the staff from his hand.
Then grabbed his hands with his tail and held him up. Frieza then proceeded to use the sorcerer as his own personal punching bag. With each hit, he could hear and feel bones cracking and breaking under the tremendous force of his hits and kicks. Frieza then released him, letting him fall a bit before executing a powerful front kick sending him to the ground below. He then raced back down to the ground where he crash landed. He slowly stalked over to the small crater the sorcerer was currently laying in. His body was broken, bruised, and blooded.
Frieza shook his head. "You really are not all that powerful without that staff are you?"
"Fuck You." he spat out along with a wad of blood.
Frieza narrowed his eyes, he lifted his hand palm side up and started forming a light blue sphere in his hand.
"No Frieza, don't." Came a soft reply from behind him.
He turned his head to find Lily standing a few paces behind him. She looked perfectly fine. Like she wasn't just lying prone and battered a few minutes ago. Goku too looked like he had been restored to full health and stood right behind her.
"Why not? He tried to kill you Lily. He would've killed us all. There is no reason to spare this cockroach's life." Frieza replied.
She walked up putting a hand on his shoulder.
"She has another solution." Lily whispered.
It was then, they heard a strange high pitched whistling sound. Frieza turned back around to the sorcerer who manage to get a hold of his staff again. It was glowing and the source of the noise. The sorcerer smiled and chuckled.
"Even if you defeated me it doesn't matter. That sound you heard, it's going to send every demon within a few hundred miles running here. No matter how powerful you get, you are still mortal and will fall to them. You and all your little friends here will be dead." He snapped.
Before Frieza could do anything else Lily...No Gaea quickly materialized right in front of the now terrified sorcerer. She knelt down and held a hand in front of his face.
"I know someone who's going to enjoy your company for all eternity." She told him.
She then began chanting in her ancient tongue and bright stringy strands of lights encircled the screaming sorcerer's body. They then started forcing him into the ground. It then opened, swallowing the sorcerer up into the earth. Afterwards he was gone, only loose dirt and earth remained where he once lay.
"Whoa, what did you do with him Lily? I mean Gaea?" Asked a stunned Goku.
She slowly stood up. "I stripped him of his magical prowess and sent him to the Underworld. Something tells me Mephistopheles and his demons will enjoy his company for eons to come."
She then turned to face them and walked passed them heading over to Vegeta. She knelt over him and splayed her hands out over his body. A Light glow emanated from her hands and spread over his body. It closed up all the wounds and mended his broken bones.
He gasped and sat up. "Of course you would have healing powers." Though that's just his way of thanking her.
As he stood, they felt the ground beneath them start to shake and heard loud piercing shrieks surrounding them and closing in.
Frieza looked at her. "The Demons."
"I want you all to stay here. I'll be right back." As she walked by Frieza grasped her forearm giving her a worried look.
She smiled and cupped his cheek. "Everything will be alright, trust me."
He reluctantly let go and gave her a sharp nod. Then Gaea moved to the rapidly approaching horde of demons.
Well, I promised you all a long action packed chapter and here it is. But it's not over yet. Next will be part two to this chapter and will resume with Gaea taking on the demons and then settling affairs with the other gods. Until Next Time ;)
