(Snow.)

The lone boy sat under the tree, watching the snow fall from the sky. He had a book on his lap, opened.

(I better head back. Mom is going to yell at me soon.)

The boy packed his book and ran down the mountain and towards the big wall. It was a big wall that gave protection to the country from demi-human and undead invasions many times throughout the history.

It was a sign of peace and security.

"Noah, welcome back."

"……I'm back."

Noah opened the door to his house, the first thing he saw was his mother preparing dinner.

"There's sword sparring with the neighbouring kids tomorrow, you better get some rest, or your body is not going to hold up, dear."

"Oh! Dinner should be ready soon!"

He heard the words, and he went straight to his room.

[Door Closes.]

Noah entered his room. Well…

An ordinary room filled with ordinary stuff a 7 year old would have. Specifically, a 35 meters square room with a 7.5 meter high ceiling.

The bookshelf is in the corner of the room. To it's left is Noah's bed. The closet is on the left to window, which is the opposite side of the bed. On the side note, his room is just as any ordinary kid would have.

Noah's family isn't as luxury as nobles but not poor as to be straight up peasants. His father is a paladin that protects the country. So his family doesn't have a lot of financial problems.

Noah returned the book to his bookshelf. The bookshelf is quite clean. Because that is the one thing that Noah refuses to make dirty of.

"Knowledge is the best weapon, after all."

He could speak just fine when there is no one around. As said, he has communication disorder, but that doesn't mean he can't speak.

Noah returned to his bed. He just sat on it, not lying on it.

With no one around to listen, Noah opens his mouth once more.

"Well, what do you think?"

Noah looks down between his legs.

There was nothing but the wood planks on the floor. A normal human would say.

﹂ If they are in the point of view of Noah, things won't be so simple anymore.

From Noah's point of view, there is a blackish aura coming out from his bed. And then, a man appeared out of it.

Not crawling out of the bed, he was walking and slowly ascending to floor level.

Once he reached the floor level, he sat next to Noah on his bed. The bed had noticeable increase in pressure as Noah could hear the sound of a heavy object placing tons of Newtons on a wooden bed.

The man, who came out of the bed, had the attire of a Butler. A face of a normal human. He had black eyes. Black eyes like a doll's eyes.

Noah doesn't seem to care about this horrific being. Of course he wouldn't, it has been around Noah ever since the date of his birth.

And he had realized that this entity is something only he can see.

The devil butler pulled out a metal box, what is inside is unknown to Noah.

"What's in it?"

"……"

Noah attempts to ask the butler about the secrets of the box, but of course, he got no response.

And strangely enough, Noah did not felt any pressure while talking to this man. He would while talking to others, but not this man.

The man didn't answer Noah's question, instead, he just stood up, and disappeared into thin air.

"…Hmph…". Noah felt that the man had a strange bond with that man, like he met him during his past life.

Though, he wouldn't know the answer even if he tried. He is only 7 after all.

Due all respect, Noah placed that metal box inside his closet. Nothing is definitely safe, the box is locked and what is inside is still a number x.

The best thing to do is to hide it and deal with it later. He now has something more important to do.

"Noah, food's ready!"

Yes, there's no way in hell that Noah would skip dinner, even if the world wills so.

The mountain area.

A couple, during the midnight, decided to sneak around during the time where everyone else is asleep.

What are they trying to do? It's snowing and the temperature is at least below minus 3.

Well, "Because it's exciting." they say.

The moment they reached the top of the hill, they say a black shadowy silhouette sitting under the tree.

It doesn't seem to have a hostile intent towards others, but his existence itself is already enough to bring fear to anyone who lays their eyes on this entity.

The couple ran, faster than they originally could. Not out of fear, but their natural survival instincts. The shadow didn't move, he was simply glaring at the wall in a distance.

Then, another "monster" appears from the earth.

It was the Butler from earlier.

"I have finished my job, master."

The bulter reports to the shadow in the most respectful attitude possible. The sound was befitting of a pers-- , devil that wears a butler outfit.

The shadow replies with a simple nod.

"But sir, giving him "that", doesn't make it unfair for the others?"

The Butler questions.

In response, the shadow gave a deep sounded reply.

"No, it's still fair to everyone. I'm gave him an advantage, but that doesn't mean he doesn't need to do what he should. After all, he chose me, out of everyone."

The butler bowed. Does he feel satisfied about the answer, or he simply feels gratitude towards his master?

Maybe both.

"He would fall into the depths of the abyss. Absolutely, and that's not my choice."
