Kim Possible: Vamped

Sheldon Director, better known as Gemini was still sifting his daily reports when he found one that piqued his interest. He sat up straighter, forgetting to stroke his beloved pet Pepe as he eyed the report from a certain mole and chortled just a bit manically.

"So, my sister now employs the preternatural," Sheldon Director said as he eyed the reports. Reports of a Kim Possible who not only lived but thrived as a very real vampire. Little wonder the world had not seen her of late.

"Orders, sir," the uneasy Beta who had delivered the reports asked.

"Find and acquire me this vampire Possible," he ordered. "Promise her all the blood she can drink and whatever she desires, if she aides WEE in our fated rise. For I wager such a creature will now care more for her own desire than my sister's witless notions of justice," he sneered.

"Yes, sir. I'll arrange to deliver the message at once. Only…what if she won't listen. You know how she was even before she….changed," he grimaced.

"True. She could be…irritating. Instruct our moles to undermine her and sow discord. Make her companions fear and distrust her. She will then flee to safer climes, which will be WEE. For we will welcome such a powerful ally with open arms," Gemini smirked.

"I'll send word at once, sir," the Beta assured him.

"Oh, and, Beta…..do not fail me."

"No, sir," he snapped. "Never!"

"Good. Good. You may go."

The man sighed once he was outside and quickly went to find his own scapegoat because he could already see this one blowing up in his face. Maybe that Omega just hired would make a good dupe. He might be just clueless enough to take his place if he thought he was getting a promotion. Yeah, he'd talk to him and with some luck, there would be a new Beta to replace him before Gemini inevitably eyed someone for failure.

Because vampire or not, even he knew Kim Possible had the kind of reputation that made most Henches favor staying far from her. If she was a vampire now, the last thing Beta wanted was to be anywhere near her. Even he knew what those things did to you. He had seen too many movies where playing with vampires only ended in tragedy.

Dana was smiling one morning as she came into the cafeteria sucking on a flash of synthetic blood as Kim was gulping eggs and bacon with a large cup of coffee.

"Hey, hungry?"

"A little. This stuff is great for the other needs, but now that I'm up longer, I do get hungrier than usual. You know, for food," Dana smiled.

She had been smiling a lot more since Amy had visited her, Kim knew. With a new phone that connected the pair without tipping off Amy's parents, the blonde was all the happier, too. Kim didn't mind that at all.

"Yeah. Like I said before, Wade rocks. I still wouldn't doubt if he finds something better in the end. He doesn't like to give up when he tackles a project," Kim told her.

"You think he can cure us," Dana asked with a degree of hope she had not shown in weeks.

"Well, you, possibly," Kim nodded confidently. "Me? Even I'm not sure if he can manage that one. Remember, I'm already so wonky from all the crazy science that's hit me over the years that I'm not exactly your standard by the book preternatural as they like to call us around here."

"Yeah. I thought you shocked me by being a vampire, but finding out all how many of those other myths and legends are real? Crazy."

"Hey, I've fought demons and crazier stuff before Ron and I ever faced that old vamp. It's a crazy world out there," Kim said with a chuckle.

Just as Will Du walked past, eyed them sourly and all but marched up to the line for his own morning meal.

"And that one is the biggest monsters you will ever find," Kim murmured.

"Really? I know he's kind of….weird, but…."

"He knows every regulation, all the operations manuals and even law books by heart. He's memorized every word. Every word. Who does that? Who really does that," Kim asked indignantly.

"That is weird," she admitted.

"Shego and I long suspected he had one of those manuals shoved up his…backside," she sniggered, "And that's why he walks like he has something….up there," she grinned.

"I can hear you," Will remarked as he came by again, eyeing them both with displeasure.

"I know," Kim smiled. "I meant for you to hear us," she said as Dana blushed. "C'mon, Will, relax. We're still on the same side."

"That has yet to be discerned to my satisfaction," the commander declared officiously.

"Jeez, lighten up," Dana huffed now.

"I don't require advice from…."

"I'm just saying, I had an uncle that was all uptight, too. He had a heart attack before he was thirty and now he lives in a wheelchair looking like he's sixty, instead of thirty."

"I happen to be in perfect health," he huffed as he sat at the table across the aisle from them as if intent on making some point.

"Uncle Rog was, too. Till he fell over, foaming at the mouth. All because I told him I was gay," Dana sighed.

Will eyed her blandly, and declared, "Indeed. Imagine if he saw you now."

Dana grimaced, and looked away.

"Go get some food, Dana. You do need to eat now, too. Ignore Will. We all do," she sniggered.

"How droll."

"Oh, I can get droller," Kim assured her. "But I'd rather spar today. Wanna join us?"

"I've been ordered not to physically interact with you, Possible. So sparring is obviously not on the schedule."

"But trying to make Dana feel bad is okay," she snapped and glared at him now as Dana was going through the line after finishing her weekly blood allowance.

"She is not your child, Possible," he told her curtly. "So I do not understand why you…."

Kim shot to her feet and stared coldly at him.

"I know she's not my child," Kim said in as cold a voice as he had ever heard from her. "I know I'll never have a child. Thank you for reminding me, Du. Thank you so much for being….an ass," she said. "Do yourself a favor. Do not let me see you for the rest of this week."

"Is that a threat…?"

Kim kicked him in the side, driving him halfway across the cafeteria as every agent there froze and looked her way. Her kick had sent Will smashing and crashing through tables and chairs and just lucky there were no other agents in the way.

"No," Kim spat at him as he looked up in shock after stopping his flight near the far wall. "A promise."

"Will Du. Agent Will Du, report to Dr. Director's office," the intercom crackled just then.

"Ooooo, Willie got in trouble," Dana said in a singsong as she came back with a full tray.

Every agent in the cafeteria burst into laughter and none were louder than Kim.

Will stood up, brushed off his stained uniform, eyed her sourly as he turned and all but marched out.

"Yep, still has that manual firmly up his…."

Dana laughed now and smiled before looking back at Kim.

"You okay, Kim?"

"Yeah. Yeah, that guy just…. He's always tweaked me."

"I think he's jealous. That's what I think," she said as they both sat down. The agents around them relaxed again, Kim obviously not about to get violent beyond picking on Will.

"Probably. Jerk has been getting on my nerves from Day One. Seriously. Day One," Kim complained.

"And, Kim," Dana smiled, leaning close to whisper to her ears alone. "I really wish you were my mother. I really do," she smiled, and leaned over and gave Kim the lightest of kisses on her cheek.

Kim blushed and smiled back at her.

"Thanks, Dana. That…. That's the greatest thing anyone has ever said to me," she said, her eyes bright with unshed tears.

"Oh, wow, these eggs are really good, aren't they," Dana said after taking a bite.

"Yeah. They have a new cook and they really know their way around a grill."

Dana only smiled and kept eating as Kim finished her own meal.

"Your assessment," Dr. Director asked Will after the man walked into her office and gave only a faint grimace as he took a seat.

"While obviously temperamental," Will said, breathing a little unevenly as he now held his side, "She is obviously still in control. "Whoever is spreading reports of her starting to grow beyond control is obviously…..ah," he cringed as he touched a certain spot, "Making trouble. Perhaps another mole seeking to undermine our….control? Now, I think I'd better see Dr. Spot. I do believe she broke a rib this time."

"I wouldn't doubt it. Recall, even her human persona now manifests ten times normal strength and she was never a pushover."

"As I well know. Next time you wish to test her, though….. Send Stoppable," Will cringed as he held his side when he rose to his feet again.

Betty chuckled. "Indeed. Meanwhile, vet those agents spreading those rumors and sweep our communications branch again. Obviously Sheldon is back and intent on making another move again."

"Yes. He can be….clever. I'll get right on it," Will assured her.

"After you see the doctor, Will. I don't expect you to suffer if you did break a rib."

"Thank you, ma'am."

Betty couldn't help but smile at him and then eyed the video of the interaction herself. As expected and theorized, Kimberly likely did view the younger teen as her own surrogate child. Perhaps not consciously but she was beyond protective. Just as well they were teamed together since that would encourage Kimberly to succeed all the more while ensuring the girl was trained as well as any agent could be trained. Considering Kimberly was already all but peerless before her preternatural upgrade, she could well understand why Sheldon was targeting her if he had discovered her presence.

Which in itself was not good. Things could come out before they were ready to be managed, and it might be enough to finally set off the redhead in unpredictable ways. There was only one real choice at this point.

Stabbing her intercom, she barked, "Denine, get me Stoppable. And Dr. Ann Possible. We need a conference."
