Kim Possible: Vamped

By LJ58

Kim woke in a small cage.

A small cage with silvered bars.

She snarled and glanced around to see Dana huddled in a similar cage. Only she had yet to wake. She knew Wade's serum had eased some of the sensitivity to certain banes for the young blonde but unlike Kim, it had not eliminated them. She knew Dana had to be in pain and likely wasn't going to recover until she was out of that cage.

"Treacherous monkeys," Kim hissed as she saw several men on guard nearby eyeing them. "You'll pay for this…."

"Calm down, Possible," Gemini himself declared as he walked into the chamber where they were being held. "I just needed to be certain this was no ploy and my sister was not duping me again. She can be clever, I am loathed to admit."

Kim glared at the man with cold, red eyes, and spat at him, "I'll show you another cleverness do you not free us," she demanded.

"I think not. Not just yet. First, we're going to come to an understanding," Gemini smiled coldly as he stroked the small animal in his hand.

The little dog eyed Kim with huge dark eyes bulging almost comically, growling deep in its tiny chest as if fearful of her without cause.

"I don't think Pepe trusts you, either. So, obviously, we need to lay some ground rules. To show you are truly committed and loyal, I'm going to give you a mission. You carry it out and then I might show you more…leeway," the one-eyed madman sneered.

"Loyalty! I was promised refuge, not your usual madness," Kim snarled.

"Calm yourself…."

"Calm," Kim hissed and then noted two men dragging the unconscious Dana from the cage to bind her to a makeshift pillory that held her upright. "What are you doing? Leave her alone," she spat.

"You give your vampire vow to obey me and carry out my will, and she is quite safe," Gemini smirked. "For only when your power is leashed to WEE will I truly trust you, woman."

"Leave her alone," she snarled. "When I get out of here…."

"I don't think she yet understands her position here, Beta. Do demonstrate," he said and the man opened a small case and pulled out a long silver stake.

"No," Kim hissed, just before the man stabbed the stake into Dana's lower back and she came awake screaming as she tried in vain to pull free as the dark blood flowed from her wound.

"You bastards! You'll all die! I'll…."

"Boss," the nearest Hench said, eyeing Kim whose eyes were starting to glow more brightly as she shook her cage violently now.

"Vow to give your power to me," Gemini shouted. "Or she suffers more. Beta!"

The man smirked and drove a second stake into Dana's back. The girl screamed hellishly, trying in vain to escape and bleeding all the more.

"Stop it! You're killing her," she screamed.

Gemini only laughed as Kim's scream echoed Dana's but it was not one of pain. It was one of rage and fury. Which was when everything changed.

"You dare! You dare touch my child," she roared as Kim simply stood up.

Bound by both chains and held in a small cage, the redhead just stood up, shattering her cage as she broke the chains like rotted twine to free herself as Gemini and his men gaped in horror. For Kim had not simply broken out, she had changed anew. Her body was somehow all of seven feet of raw, primal power now and her back erupted with great bat-like wings as red as her hair.

Looking down on the stunned Gemini, she smiled coldly as she reached for him with a big hand crowned with vicious claws.

"We've got a static signal," Agent Fyne shouted as he turned from the navigational console in Dr. Director's own jet where he had been tracking the beacon since it had activated.

"Location?"

"Mid-Pacific, just ten kilometers southwest of his old headquarters," the agent reported.

"Transmit the coordinates to all team members and get us out there," she ordered. "Will, you lead the secondary team. And for God's sake, do not confront Kimberly when we arrive."

"Understood," the senior agent complained, but saluted sharply all the same as he went to the pilot's seat.

"Remember, this is still Gemini, so be ready for anything. There's a good chance Kim may be in trouble in spite of her abilities because we all know Gemini can be pretty clever at times."

Fifteen minutes later at full speed, the strike team reached their destination and began to descend to hover over the ocean as they locked on the coordinates that put them in the middle of the ocean just south of Hawaii.

"All teams, stand ready. He could come up at any time. We don't know what's been….happening," Dr. Director said as the ocean began to bubble, and then the waters below them bulged and heaved, and a huge dome began to break the surface.

"Team three, breach those hatches now. We can't let them submerge again," Will shouted as Dr. Director rushed to the main hatch herself, ready to lead the charge.

"Firing on the main hatch," one of the team jets reported as a small missile exploded to rip a jagged hole in the metal dome.

"You have your orders. Team Two hit the power station. Team One and Three, with me. We will converge on command, and go from there. Remember, Kimberly is still on our side," she added as she jumped down into the now open base.

"We hope," she heard Will remark as he joined her.

She shot her second a cold glance and then rushed into the base to find her brother and her Trojan horse.

"Possible is definitely here," Will said after a moment as he noted a lot of Henches were not trying to fight when they found them. They were trying to flee. And more than a few broken and bloody bodies lay around them as they got closer to the command center.

Only the command center proved empty, except for Pepe who was cowering behind his master's usual chair and looking beyond terrified.

"Something happened," Dr. Director said uneasily as she noted a door that wasn't just open, it looked as if it had been ripped half off its track.

Pulling her own weapon only then, she led her men into the short corridor beyond and saw more dead men. Then she entered what seemed a large dead-end room, and inside was a virtual charnel house.

"Good….God," Will rasped as Kimberly knelt there all but naked in bloody rags holding Dana who was pale, still, and looked badly injured.

"Kimberly," Dr. Director asked as she slowly approached the women.

"She's sleeping," Kim said quietly, looking human again as the sun was up by then. "She needs rest," she said, eyes sparkling with tears.

"Kimberly, what happened," she asked as she waved over one of her medics.

"We have a pulse," the man said as he quickly checked the blonde. "Weak, but it's there."

"She needs fresh blood," Kimberly said, not remarking on the dead men torn apart around them. "All you can get."

"I'll get volunteers if necessary," the doctor, who did know the pair, assured them as he attached an IV with fresh blood to the girl's pale arm.

Kim kept holding the girl, staring at her pale face as she only knelt there without showing anything else.

"Kimberly," Dr. Director asked. "What happened here," she asked, saying nothing of the literally ravaged bodies around her. Some that had literally been all but torn apart.

"I promised to save her. To protect her. I promised," Kim said.

"And you did, Kim. She's going to be all right," Dr. Director assured her as the medic gave a grim nod her way.

"She's not meant for this life," Kim finally said, only then looking up at Betty. "Not her. She's not meant for it."

"We'll figure something out, Kimberly. Don't worry. We'll figure it out."

"Kim," Dana suddenly moaned as the second IV feeding her fresh blood was almost emptied by then.

"Dana," Kim smiled through her tears at the blonde. "How are you, sweetie?"

"Tire't," she sighed. "Whu' hap'en't. You had….wings….."

"Wings," Betty frowned uneasily, eyeing Kim's shredded clothing again.

"Dr. Director, we found Gemini," an agent came over looking beyond ill.

"Make sure he doesn't escape….."

"That….won't be a problem, ma'am," the man told her and glanced to a gurney covered by a sheet. A very bloody sheet.

Betty looked at Kim, who still watched Dana before she murmured, "He hurt her. He shouldn't have hurt her," Kim said quietly as she brushed Dana's bangs back to smile at her hooded, sleepy gaze. "He shouldn't have hurt her."

"I see," Betty murmured as Will and eyed the sheet, and grimaced as he turned to his superior.

Will walked into Dr. Director's office with a thick file and two flash drives. He looked as grim as he had ever appeared in her eyes, and yet there was something else, too.

She could guess.

"Final report from the WEE operation, Dr. Director. Nineteen men tore literally to pieces. Fifteen more killed. One apparently had a heart attack. And….you'll want to see this footage before the internal security cams were too damaged to film more," Will pointed out as he handed over the files and drives.

"I take it you've seen them…."

"I wish I hadn't," Will admitted, and only then did she realize he looked sick.

Nodding, she pulled up the first drive Will indicated and plugged it in. The footage was obviously cued for her because it began with Kim screaming as Dana was tormented with silver stakes.

"You…. You're killing her," Kim choked as Gemini crowed over that broken, still body as his men tortured the young vampire girl, leaving her to bleed out.

"Good God, how could even he have been so foolish…?"

"Watch," Will told her.

The footage progressed as her idiot brother mocked Possible being held by chains in a small cage of silver. The look on her face was beyond rage.

"You dare," the redhead raged as the change swept over her now despite the fact it was nowhere near dark. "You dare touch my child," she howled and did not so much break out as she burst out to grow more than ever. She was suddenly beyond vampiric. Abruptly manifesting huge, reddish leathery wings, not unlike a bat as the nearly seven-foot Kimberly on camera lunged forward to grab Sheldon and literally tearing one arm off as she flung it aside, heedless of the blood as the men howled in fear around her. None louder than Sheldon.

"You want power," Kim all but screamed at him, taking his head in one big, clawed hand. "Here is mine," she shouted and tore his head from his body before literally dismembering him. Only then did she turn to the stunned men, snarling, "Who's next, you craven monkeys? Who?"

The obvious chaos and carnage that followed was genuinely stomach-turning.

"My…God," Betty finally choked as the footage ended as Kim finally cradled Dana in her unnaturally strong arms and stared down at her with such a forlorn expression as she pulled the stakes from the blonde's body that Betty knew she was watching a true mother caring for her child there.

It wasn't just an expression. Kim truly saw Dana as her very own and she would obviously kill for her. She would kill, and likely do more to protect her.

"Parker is off all missions as of now. I want her assessed and tested. Perhaps she can be used in support, or….something non-risky. As of now, her safety is of paramount importance," Dr. Director told Will with a somber tone.

"You don't think this warrants terminating them both?" Will protested.

"You obviously missed something, Will. I know it was subtle but recall your own training in managing preternaturals. Winged preternaturals? They are usually pure-bloods. And they are all but impossible to stop. Impossible, Will. They can be directed. Contained. Only that we know of no one in all of history has ever stopped a pureblood and somehow, Kimberly has become that very thing."

"But….she was human. Only recently changed," the agent protested.

"Remember the debriefing? The old vampire claimed Kimberly was the incarnation of a former bride. A pure-blood bride descended from his own bloodline. What if that other side is manifesting, Will? What if Kim's unstable genetics have allowed that other side to rise? No, as of now, Dana Parker's safety is paramount. Because we do not dare risk Kimberly raging like that again. Especially if she decides we are the enemy, too."

"Pure-blood," Will shook his head. "Well, she likes to say anything is possible but this is quite beyond the pale."

"Indeed. Now, see that Dana is transferred and assessed for a suitable post."

"Which leaves Kimberly without a partner."

"Actually, I was thinking of her old one," Betty smiled now as she put the flash drive away to be sealed under the heaviest security.

"Ah," Will nodded. "So long as you don't suggest me," he stated earnestly.

"I doubt you'd survive."

"I had the same thought," Will admitted ruefully with a degree of honest emotion and trepidation.
