Eda and King zoomed through the forest in Stan's stolen car.
Eda snorted with laughter as she glanced at the rearview mirror. "Ah, just like old times! Stanley should be coming after me right about now."
"You know," King turned to Eda with his arms crossed. "You never did tell me… why did you break up with him? I mean there has to be a deeper reason other than to steal his car."
"Um no that was it!" Eda quickly frowned, her eyes widening and sweat forming on her forehead.
King started at Eda suspiciously. "No, I saw you before. You swooned as you spoke about him and you stared at him with love in your eyes when we were in that bush!"
Eda sighed sadly. "Alright you caught me. I guess I still have feelings for him."
"So why did you break up with him? What did he do?" King questioned.
Eda stared into the clear blue sky, a sense of longing in her eyes.
"Stanley wasn't the problem…. It was me…" Eda admitted, biting her lip. "It all started a long time ago…."
"MARLYIN?!" Soos exclaimed once Stan mentioned her name after they found the note Eda left when she took Stan's car. "Mr. Pines, you were married?!"
"Well, yeah," Stan confessed. "But for 24 hours. I found out she only used me to steal my car and I haven't seen or heard from her in 35 years but she's back somehow and took my car again. I have no idea why she came back-"
"Mr. Pines, you have to tell me everything!" Soos pleaded a starstruck look in his eyes. He was always interested to learn new things about his idol. "How did you meet her? What was she like? Did she smell nice? Does-"
"Now's not the time, Soos! We have to get my car back!" Stan reminded him.
"Okay then let's get in my truck and you can tell me there!" Soos told him.
They rushed to Soos' house where Abuelita was outside sitting on the porch relaxing and noticed them coming.
"Hola Soos and Mr. Pines!" She greeted them. "Would you like to sit and relax? I think I have some cookies baking in the oven."
"No time, abuelita! Mr. Pines and I are gonna rescue his stolen car from his ex-wife!" Soos exclaimed excitedly.
"Okay, have fun," She stated.
As soon as Stan and Soos entered the truck and left, Abeulita stood up and a small smile formed on her face.
"Time to look in Soos' room once more," She beamed as she disappeared into the house.
As they sped down the road, Soos once more grinned at Stan, a sparkle in his eyes as he asked, "Soooo…. Can you tell me about your mysterious ex-wife Mr. Pines? I want to add it all to my fanfiction and tell everyone about it! And by everyone I mean Dipper, Mabel, Wendy and your brother!"
Stan roaned. "Okay, fine! If it will keep you quiet," he muttered, giving in.
He took a deep breath. "Well, if I recall, it all started a lifetime ago…. get ready for some 80s flashbacks…."
It was the year 1977 in las vegas. Everyone was gambling, drinking, risking all their money, playing some wild games and having a fun time overall. But mostly everyone was crowding around a certain player in the poker area, looking pretty ticked off by his massive stack of chips he won.
"Stan Pines, just how do you do it?" a man with an eyepatch questioned.
The young brown haired version of Stan Pines with a mullet and less wrinkles, had a little small smirk on his face as he stated. "A good gambler never reveals his secrets, now come on! Let's do another round! All in or nothing!"
Not too far away from the casino, a portal door appeared out of nowhere and soon a witch with white hair and pale skin, wearing a red dress with matching heeled boots appeared.
Once she saw the casino, her eyes lit up and she rubbed her hands in excitement. "Ohhhh, Edalyn… you struck another gold mine! I'll collect and rob all the treasures from this casino and I'll be rolling in money!"
She made her way towards the casino but soon paused. "Oh, wait, I better hide myself and blend in with the crowd so the humans don't get suspicious of my pointy ears and my appearance."
She made a yellow circle over her head with her finger and she soon transformed with a smoke. Her hair became a shade of brown and her ears were more circular.
"Ahhhh, that's better," Eda smiled, admiring disguise in a nearby window. "Now I just need a name change to match this look…. Ah! Marylin! Perfect! Now to the casino to make some moolah and rip those humans blind!"
As she entered, she discovered a lot of games these humans were playing including water polo, blackjack, cards and plenty of others. She smirked. Once she was done with this crowd, she'd be the winner and all these suckers would go home as losers.
"Now what to play and who to scam first?" she wondered aloud as she took a look around the room.
"I've won once more! I get all your chips!" a loud taunting voice shouted across the room.
"Hmm?" Eda turned her attention and saw a brown mullet haired man with a big orange nose and a white suit taking all the guys' poker chips, taunting them.
"Admit it, Pines! You cheated that time!" A man growled at him. "You cheat at everytime we play!"
Someone who cheated a lot like her? Eda raised an eyebrow and became intrigued by this Stan Pines character.
"Sorry fella, but all I see is these chips I've won!" Stan laughed as he grabbed them all. "Just admit that I'm a better player than you boys. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got my winnings to collect!"
The men all muttered some curse words as they left Stan be.
"You may have won this time Pines, but I swear you'll be the sore loser next time," One of them warned him.
"Tell that to your mother!" Stan taunted.
The man frowned and left with the group.
Stan smiled and looked at all his winnings. "Now if no one else wants to face me, I'll just collect these winnings and-"
"Not so fast, Stan-"
"Hmmm?" Stan looked up and saw a nice brown haired fashionable lady with golden eyes walking to him with crossed arms. "I challenge you."
Stan chuckled as he placed the chips back on the table. "No offense lady, but I'm the best player there ever was. You'll never-"
"Well for your information Stan, I'm a better and an expert at these games myself," Eda sassed back as she took a seat across from him. "You don't scare me!"
Stan stared at her for quite a long time and smiled. "Hmmm… sassy and tough…. I like that! You know you're a pretty nice lady miss… uuuh, what's your name?"
"Marilyn," She informed him as she grabbed her cards and looked at them. "Marilyn Clawthrone."
"Marilyn, huh, that's a nice name ya have," Stan pointed out.
"Cut the chat and let's play!" Eda snapped at him.
"Alright, alright," Stan picked up his cards and they began their match.
Stan didn't want to admit it just yet but with her beautiful looks and sassy and tough attitude and her willingness to face him, he was starting to fall in love with her.
And Eda didn't want to admit it either but with his handsome face, charming attitude and his power to sneak and win all the time in these games, she was starting to fall in love with Stan as well.
