In a half-buried laboratory, a figure lay resting in a capsule.
He'd been resting for decades, but now the drums of war would wake him from his slumber.
*Boom!*
A group of Reploids, members of the Resistance had blown the front door of the building, seeking haven from Neo Arcadia's forces.
The lights turned on, the capsule opened, and the figure, clad in purple armor, slowly emerged.
Where... who... am I? My... my head hurts. The armored one clutched his head in pain.
Suddenly, a nearby hologram flickered to life. In it stood the visage of a large, bald-headed Reploid.
"Vile... You were my most loyal and competent follower. It is too late for me, but there is still hope for you.
I have used what little time I have left to put your soul in a new body, and place you in this capsu-" The audio suddenly cut out. "-my hope is...forgotten wha...start a new li-"*kcch*
However, should the worst co-*kcch*...-chip in your hel-*kcch*-in the capsule. This is my final order: Live, old friend. Live in peace."
The hologram shut back off.
"Vile... my name is Vile?" Vile's head was filled with questions.
Who is this guy, and what kind of name is Vile?
He was confused, amnesiac, and suffering from hibernation sickness, but he was not stupid.
Was I... a bad guy?
The Reploid's thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of battle, growing ever closer.
Damn it... I need a weapon. Whoever that was said there was something in the capsule.
Vile searched his resting place and found a button on the side. Pressing it, the top of the metal "bed" slid open, revealing a helmet with a T-shaped visor and a saber, both of which looked incredibly familiar.
If I really was a criminal, I'd better keep my face hidden... The Reploid put the helmet over his head and took the saber in hand.
Guess I'll have to take a rain check on that order, whoever you are...
Vile approached the busted door to his chambers, and kicked it down. Before him stood an army of blue Mechanaloid soldiers.
The purple-clad warrior thought they, like the helmet and saber, looked strangely familiar. For some reason, the mere sight of them was starting to piss him off.
"Please... help us." Vile turned his head to find the voice belonged to some blonde chick, accompanied by a fairy-like thing and a couple of mooks. It seemed they were hiding from these blue freaks.
"He's just one man! What can he do?" One of the soldiers whispered to her.
The soldier's words ignited a fire in the masked Reploid. I'll show them how strong I am!
"Hahaha... You just sit back and enjoy the show." Vile ignited his new saber and charged the Mechanaloid army.
Vile's one of my favorite Megaman characters, along with Bass and Megaman Juno.
