Kim Possible: Vamped

"Since Betty is still confabbing with her alleged experts," Kim remarked as she led Shego to their special gym set up just for her and Dana to use, "We can get in some sparring before she gets around to agreeing with us."
"Us," Shego drawled as she followed Kim and the little blonde to the gym that looked not unlike someone had been using hammers on the walls and equipment. Big ones.
"Well, sure. It's partly your idea, if anyone asks," Kim grinned.
"Oy. I knew you were up to something when you sent me those local papers. You suckered me, didn't you, Princess," Shego demanded.
"Now would I exploit a friend like that," Kim pouted innocently.
"Don't even do that," Shego growled, pointedly looking away. "Don't even. I buried the hatchet, but I know where the grave is. Understand…."
"C'mon, Shego, I was just teasing. You know that," Kim said with a smile. "Hey, I need to stretch some kinks out so let me give Dana her lesson first, and then you can have a turn afterward. Dr. Director thinks I still need to practice holding back in human form."
"She insists," Dana nodded at Shego. "Especially since she keeps breaking Will Du's ribs by accident."
"Right," Shego drawled, eyeing the grinning redhead.
"Okay, so stay back with Allen," she nodded at Agent Briggs who was starting to tap buttons to set up a configuration the pair had obviously used before now. "You don't want to get in our way," Kim smirked as she suddenly stretched up and up and up and grew bat's wings a darker crimson than her hair.
"Holy… She wasn't kidding," Shego murmured as she watched Kim gesture to the blonde who now took a familiar stance, and then the pair began moving so fast even Shego had trouble tracking them.
"And Bets lets her do missions?"
"Mostly when we face genuine preternatural threats," Allen Briggs told her, accepting her presence without comment. "She's actually solved a few without violence, and even brokered a truce with a pack of wolves in Canada."
"Wolves? Seriously? She made a truce…."
"I think you know that Possible can be…convincing at times even before her changes," the somber agent remarked.
"I'll say," Shego said as the kid got a lucky kick in, and slammed Kim into the wall hard enough to create a new dent. "Yikes. Remind me not to spar with her anytime soon."
"They actually spent months learning to hold back at the start. Only lately they have been….letting go since they met with those Elders," Agent Briggs admitted as Kim flew back so fast even Dana didn't get out of the way as the blonde was sent tumbling to smash into an obstacle, crashing through it, and ending up laying sprawled out as she held up a finger declaring, "Time out!"
Kim only laughed and came over to offer the girl a hand, pulling her upright even as she shrank back down into her own familiar frame, and walked over to join Shego and Allen.
"What do you think," Kim asked her with a wide grin.
"You weren't kidding. You're practically an Elder yourself already, aren't you," Shego remarked.
"Well, I'm getting there. They called me Lady Kimbera when we met."
"I get that," Shego nodded.
"They called Dana Danaras."
"Wow," Shego murmured knowingly as she eyed the seemingly innocuous girl with overly sharp incisors. "That's quite the honor, kid."
"Yeah. I'd like to hear about your story, too sometime," Kim told her. "For now, how about…."
"Agent Possible," Briggs shouted as he had walked away to take a call, but now turned back to them. "Dr. Director wants you all in the office. Now."
"When you say all….?"
"Shego and Dana, too," the man nodded. "I think you know the way," the man waved and left when earlier he would shadow her every step.
"Jerk," Shego muttered.
"Ah, Allen's okay. He just plays tough for the recruits. He's a softie, though. He even used to bring Dana candy bars and cappuccinos while they played checkers when she couldn't sleep after the serum first changed her enough to resist sunrise and I was….busy."
"Breaking Du's ribs," she asked.
"Hey, to be fair, that was only three times," Kim protested.
"Ahem," Dana said, dropping her towel after wiping off, and grabbing her PDA since she was still technically on standby duty.
"Oh, right. Four. Almost forgot that time I stepped on him," Kim giggled.
"You….stepped on him," Shego frowned at her.
"To be fair he was trying to stake me at the time. Just because I was ready to tear some jerks apart who tried kidnapping…."
She looked grim for a moment and then smiled.
"But that all worked out."
"Yep," Dana grinned. "No big."
"Oy, now I believe she's yours," Shego said, rolling her eyes at the pair of them.
"Well, let's go see how Bets is going to try to make this work for her," Kim suggested.
"You've gotten cockier than ever, haven't you," Shego grinned.
"You have no idea," Dana grinned at the green-skinned woman.
"Watch it, kiddo," Kim said with a faux growl.
Dana only giggled as they headed down the hall to Dr. Director's office.
Opening the door without knocking, Kim led them inside once they reached the door, and Dr. Director just eyed them as she hung up the phone she had been speaking into before their arrival.
"Allen said you wanted to see us," Kim asked blandly.
Too blandly for anyone that knew her.
"Yes. I have conferred with every expert that has worked with you and spoken with both Ronald and your parents. Still, the final decision rests with me," she said, her good eye narrowing on Kim.
"And what have you decided," Kim asked far too indifferently for her tone to be genuine.
"I have decided that you and Shego have a point. So long as you two are in our custody, and released only as…attack dogs as Mr. Hardbed puts it, there are those that will continue to view you suspiciously. Therefore, I am going to release you from your vow on the condition you make a new vow."
"And what is it," Kim asked, her green eyes narrowing now.
"Hear me out. I will allow you two to make a home in your own town, and work out of the regional HQ as you once did. In return, I want your vow you will not attack anyone, and there will be no feeding on anyone even if they anger you," Betty declared in a stern tone.
Kim drew a deep breath, eyeing her, and then slowly nodded.
"That's it? No special conditions. No loopholes?"
"We both know they wouldn't mean much to you," Dr. Director said quietly. "I'm just asking you to behave and give people a reason to trust you. Agreed?"
"I agree," Kim nodded. "You have my vow. Only I reserve the right to defend ourselves if someone does attack. Whoever they are."
"And mine," Dana nodded to the brunette with a smile. "Same as mom."
"And now for the details," Dr. Director went on as Shego muttered, "Here it comes."
The senior agent paused to eye the former felon, and then looked back to Kim.
"You'll be living in the same neighborhood you once occupied. I'm going to ask you to check in with us at least once daily if you aren't on missions, or on duty. We'll arrange it so that Dana can work out of the regional HQ in the same branch, and you'll both continue to see Wade weekly to ensure you're still under control, and his blood serum continues to, ah, satisfy you. I'll arrange for him to send that serum to your house once you get moved in, too."
"That all sounds good, and no big," Kim nodded as Shego glared at her.
"Which brings us to Shego," Dr. Director declared. "I'm unofficially hiring you to be their temporary liaison to ensure they are keeping in line, and to prevent anything from happening that might Kimberly off. I'll warn you, she does have a temper."
"She always did," Shego muttered.
"What about our sparring," Dana asked as Kim just smirked at her unlikely friend.
"I strongly suggest you do not spar except at the regional HQ," Betty told them, having seen them work out of late.
Kim only smirked.
"Not even if we don't go all out," Kim asked slyly.
Shego sighed, already knowing the redhead could be a handful at the best of times.
"I think you must realize you need a very low profile for this to work, Kimberly," the older woman growled back at her.
"I get hazard pay for this, right," Shego asked Dr. Director.
"You get to go free when I should arrest you for breaking into a secure top-secret facility," Betty snapped.
"I told you I invited her," Kim countered. "Besides, you don't have to worry, Betty," Kim smiled. "We'll be fine."
"Do I get my own room," Dana asked.
"Sure. Say, if you like we could even go to Montana and get whatever you would like from your old house."
"Possible, no. No. Stay away from…."
"What could happen," Kim cut in.
Shego shook her head guessing Kim was just messing with Bets now. Or she hoped.
"Well, if we're good, let's go. We still have to find a house….."
"Kimberly, as it happens, your old home was still empty. Someone never turned off the security system and your brothers claimed they didn't know how," Betty said, handing them papers, keys, and a thick packet for likely orders. "We arranged the updated payments and insurance for you this once, as well as turning the utilities back on. You'll have to take care of future expenses yourself, as well as likely clean out the house after this long….absence. Meanwhile, try to behave. All of you," Betty concluded.
"No big," Kim and Dana said as one.
Shego groaned.
"We'll have a week's allotment of blood serum for you to take with you before you leave so you won't be caught short until Wade catches up with you. Now, go pack, and don't forget your updated schedules," she said, tapping that packet. "And for God's sake, behave," she said again.
Kim only grinned.
"You know me," she smiled.
"Yes, I do. Behave," Betty snapped, and Dana giggled.
The pair eyed one another as both declared, "Back in a sec," as Kim added, "It's not like we have much to pack," and then they were gone.
"What did I sign on for here," Shego grimaced.
"More than you realize. You say you know about the preternatural Elders?"
"Yeah. We've met. A few of them anyway," Shego grimaced.
"They accepted Kim as an equal from the start, Shego. A full equal. She downplays it, but…I understand you've seen her. There is a nine thousand-year-old warrior woman in her now that is supposedly incarnated through her somehow. Watch her. And be careful. She's extremely willful."
"She always was, Bets," she said, hearing overly swift steps, and then both girls were standing there in the door holding small totes and grinning ear-to-ear as Dana declared, "I win."
"You cheated. 'No dessert for cheaters,'" they ended as one as Dana declared, "Jinx, I get dessert!"
Shego gaped at them grinning at one another and shook her head.
"I'm surrounded by loons."
"It occurs to me this could work out quite well. For me," Betty declared. "Go home, Possible. And behave," she snapped, tapping the paperwork Shego belatedly snatched up as Kim ignored it.
"This is gonna be so great," Dana grinned as they tossed their few bags with the satchel of blood serum Allen gave them into the Roth as Shego walked over to the side of the street where a sleek green and black coupe sat.
"Meet you there, Princess," Shego waved.
"Well, we will seriously need to shop once we get settled, too. We'll make a list after we get there, and see what's left in the fridge," Kim said as she climbed into the Roth.
Kim started the Roth, and then Kim abruptly chortled.
"What?"
"Betty said my brothers couldn't open my house? They're the ones that built the security system. I guess they were just preserving it even thinking I was gone. That's….kind of sweet of them," the redhead smiled.
"It is. Let's go home, mom," Dana smiled.
"Yeah, let's," she beamed, and put the car in gear, and drove out of the hangar, down the street, and then grinned.
"Let's play beat Shego to Middleton," she grinned, and pulled the gearshift back and left as hidden turbines suddenly whined as sleek, state of the art gyros whirred from under the body and the car slightly reconfigured itself even as it exploded into the air and flew off across the city at high speed.
"There is one other benefit," Dana told her happily. "No more Will Du!"
"Absolutely," Kim grinned. "A girl after my own heart," she smiled and arched the car down over the continent, and quickly approached a mountain ridge, and smiled as she saw the tri-city area beyond.
"Home," she smiled.
"Home," Dana asked.
"Yours, too, sweetie. And you can tell Amy all about it tonight after we get settled," Kim grinned. "You're going to love it. I promise."
Dana only smiled.
