Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Chaotic Comrades. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own Warhammer; Games worship and a few others do.

Grissom rolled to cover before peeking out and taking a pot shot at one of the Orks. He returned to cover and cracked his neck.

"You're going to die here, space marine!" An Ork yelled before taking a bolter round from one of Grissom's men.

The line of Orks started to collapse. Grissom watched as the remaining Orks fell back.

"I've never known Orks to retreat." One of Grissom's marines stated while Grissom hummed.

"Because their war boss is far craftier than most." Grissom stated and checked his bolter. "Their commander has the numbers, and their making EXCELLENT use of it." Grissom put in and sighed.

"Get our brothers and their prisoners released." Grissom ordered to the squad of Chaos Marines. "We need as much manpower as possible if we're going to take the planet." Grissom stated while he frowned and turned to see Tzeentch in the distance.

"You spend a lot of time thinking then acting." Tzeentch stated while Grissom walked around the base. He stepped over a dead Ork before looking at the giggling one.

"Tactics are as much a weapon as troops and ships." Grissom stated while shaking his head. "You are well aware of how outgunned I am… How am I to accomplish your task with only a squad of my brothers?" Grissom asked the Chaos God.

"I see you are as gifted with foresight as my minions." Tzeentch said before rubbing at his chin. "I'm sure your familiar with a warp gate." Tzeentch put in which made Grissom nod.

"You want to bring an entire fleet here…." Grissom said before humming. "I will handle it, but it is also where a majority of the Orks are… If you are to bring your fleet here? I will still need soldiers to storm the Warp Gate." Grissom put in which made Tzeentch turn to the side.

"I've dispatched several groups of my followers to Yeager months ago… They should arrive soon enough." Tzeentch stated which made Grissom hum and nod.

"Then I will take as many Ork outposts as possible." Grissom stated as Tzeentch raised an eyebrow at his servant. "The Orks have been taking prisoners. The more bases I conquer? The more of my brothers I'll gain… Which gives you more servants." Grissom said before turning and walking away.

"And the more lies I capture you in…" Tzeentch stated and vanished into the shadows.

(With Grissom)

Grissom and his Warband continued to pick through the remains of the base. He knew that while he could come up with a plan to conquer the Orks? Grissom was aware how much he needed soldiers.

"Did you find anything of note?" Grissom questioned his men while checking his bolter again. "We need to depart before more Orks arrive." Grissom stated and placed his bolter onto his belt.

"A Thunderhawk Gunship, mostly whatever the Orks dragged here." One of the Marines reported which made Grissom hum with sheer amusement.

"How many of our brothers were inside?" Grissom asked, wondering how many of his brothers were saved.

'How many has the emperor discarded to claim this galaxy as his own? How many of us have died out here for his glory rather then our own?' Grissom questioned himself mentally and closed his eyes.

"15 or so." The Marine stated which made Grissom raise his eyebrow. "They said another group was leaving with a group of Orks… Going to a Warchief named Bonecutter." The marine put in as Grissom nodded and looked at the soldier.

"Then we need to divide up our forces." Grissom stated and walked to one of the walls. "We cannot load up the gunship entirely." Grissom added before turning to the marine.

"Did one of the prisoners tell us where 'Bonecutter' is?" Grissom questioned while he formulated a plan to kill this Lieutenant of the Warboss.

"That Kill Kroozer, he's headed to a Space Hulk in orbit." One of the marines put in before Grissom sighed.

"Then we head him off." Grissom ordered to the marine. "We cannot allow one of their Lieutenants to get away… Especially with more of our brothers." Grissom stated as he looked at the sky.

"One of the prisoners wanted to speak with you." One of the marines stated with a tone of urgency.

"Did you not free them?" Grissom questioned the marine who said nothing.

Grissom shook his head and walked towards the prison blocks. Grissom could hear the sounds of battle in the distance.

"This planet is hell." Grissom stated to himself. He didn't know much of the reason the Imperium was here.

Grissom walked past a group of Horrors. The Chaos Minions giggled and cackled with hellish delight. Grissom said nothing, they were just another asset of war. One that Grissom was cautious around at the moment.

He entered the room which looked like cobbled together metal, stone, and whatever the Orks could find. Grissom hated the Orks. But he would not deny they had a natural talent for construction.

The fixture which drew Grissom's attention the most was the soldier in the middle. Massive chains hung from his hulking armor as Grissom drew closer.

It was a Terminator, the talon like claws which tipped the ends of his fingers… Along with his massive height confirmed it.

"You requested an audience with me?" Grissom asked the terminator as the marine nodded. It looked like the Orks had tried to scar his left shoulder pad. A badge of honor among the terminators.

The hulking soldier said nothing. Grissom questioned how his cell contained him. Terminators were able to rip through anything in their path.

"Have they removed your tongue?" Grissom asked and got no answer. "Or do you wish me dead? I'm sure many of our brothers would want me dead. I've damned this very campaign since we first arrived." Grissom put in as the terminator took a deep breath.

"How am I to speak if you do not respond, brother?" Grissom questioned the marine who inclined his head.

"You reek of heresy." The terminator stated as Grissom hummed and walked closer. Grissom was still dwarfed by the soldier even as he crouched.

"And you are unusual for a terminator." Grissom responded to the soldier. "What is your name, brother? And how did the Orks capture a warrior such as you?" Grissom asked the soldier.

"You do not deserve my name." The soldier responded; Grissom only crossed his arms. "It is Bivitas… The Orks stuck my craft before it landed. I killed a score before they managed to overwhelm and my group. The Orks seem keener on looting this world then the butchery we are used to." Bivitas stated as Grissom nodded.

"Their Warboss is not normal. His tactics seem to counter most of our assaults." Grissom stated and turned to look out the door. "It is why I suggested we wait and probe their defenses… This carnage is more damning then I expected it to be." Grissom said while Bivitas hummed.

"So, you have turned to Chaos in response…" Bivitas hissed as Grissom turned back to him. "You betrayed the emperor's order for glory." Bivitas added before Grissom shook his head.

"I betrayed his orders." Grissom stated and sighed. "Because the emperor has condemned us to this planet. I do not wish to see my brothers sent into the slaughter." Grissom added and crossed his arms.

"The emperor protects mankind." Bivitas added which made Grissom incline his head. Both warriors had their features concealed by their armor.

If Bivitas could see Grissom's face. It would be twisted into a scowl that could melt a titan.

"Is that why he sentenced us to die here?" Grissom questioned Bivitas. "Make no mistake, I love my brothers, warrior. Do you know what I have seen on my way here? I have seen Orks shoot down Thunderhawks full of my brothers…" Grissom started to say before sighing

I have seen wave upon wave of Orks lay waste to everything in sight. I care about my brothers. I do not care about our lives being simply fuel for a machine." Grissom stated before turning to Bivitas.

"I know why I act this way… And the path I have chosen." Grissom stated more to himself then Bivitas. "I have a question What path have you chosen?" Grissom asked before falling silent.

He awaited Bivitas response and looked outside. Fresh drop pods began to fall upon the planet.

They did not contain marines of the emperor… But that of Chaos and the Thousand Sons.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Grissom is a warrior, but he's not meant to be a brute. I also have plans for Bivitas and such. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will show more of Bivitas and Grissom talking and the beginning of the Obsidian Stalkers. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will be 1200 words for the moment. After that should be a 2000-word fight scene chapter.
