Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Chaotic Comrades. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own Warhammer; Games worship and a few others do.

The Thunderhawks skated through the wreckage of ships from the beginning of the battle for Yaeger.

Grissom had wondered how the Orks had managed to ambush them in such numbers. He had an answer. The closer they drew to the Ork flagship?

"There has to be hundreds of vessels here…" One Marine observed as he looked down at his bolter.

Grissom looked at the wreckage. There were dozens of Kills Kroozers hidden among the shattered hulls. He watched 2 more activate their engines and emerge from among the debris.

The space hulk wasn't a resource for the Orks… It was a way to hide their vessels as scrap. The Ork Warboss had made the perfect trap. Grissom would applaud the Ork for his cunning… Right before he took the head that conjured such plans.

"Continue on course." Grissom ordered as the vessels passed an Inferno class cruiser. Grissom watched it bombard a pair of Krill Kroozers.

The Ork flagship sat in the middle of the fleet. It was a twisted shell of metal and wires. Grissom saw dozens of weapons crudely slapped to its hull. They fired all manner of shells and ammunition at the rest of the Chaos Aligned fleet.

"How are we supposed to board that vessel!?" One of the Chaos Marines questioned.

Grissom hummed while they drew closer to the battlecruiser. It wasn't boarding the massive warship that was the hard part. Grissom had every design on his brothers being on the ship at this moment.

Still? Grissom understood very well that the Orks could be defeated.

"There's a fighter bay on the starboard side." The pilot put in as both Thunderhawks shifted towards the ship. "It looks like their being bombarded more than most fleet." The pilot stated which made Grissom tap on the wall.

Grissom looked back at his men. His brothers were busy checking their bolters or cleaning their armor.

They wanted this fight as much as he did. Grissom could feel their desire to rip at the Orks.

"Ork fighter craft!" The other pilot roared over the communication system. "Their coming after us!" The pilot stated which Grissom hummed.

The Fighta Bombers emerged from a hanger. They surged forward like insects from a fresh carcass. Grissom cursed as the 2 gunships darted between the warring fleets.

Grissom sighed as the craft dove for the hanger. The weapon emplacements aboard the hulking warship opened fire.

One of the shots managed to tag the ship on its wing. The ship shook slightly… But the hull held up to the shrapnel well enough.

"Be ready." Grissom muttered to himself. Both craft set down in the cobbled together hanger.

Grissom watched as the ships came to a stop. Time seemed to come to a stop as Grissom and his brothers tensed up.

The second the ramps fully hit the ground. 60 Chaos Marines thundered down the ramp, screaming war cries and bellowing. Grissom and his men charged into the halls of the ship.

Grissom could already hear the sounds of battle. It was then Grissom guessed that they were busy fighting off Magnus's men. It made Grissom interested in how things were going to go.

Grissom and his brothers rounded a corner only to be greeted by a horde of Orks. They turned to meet the Orks only for Grissom and his men to open fire with their bolters.

The Orks vanished in a round of .50 slugs which buried them as each bolt exploded, mowing down the green skinned warriors.

Grissom watched as another mob of Boyz thundered down the hall with Big Shoota guns in their hands. Grissom and his warband scattered while bullets rattled down the hall.

The noise rang like bombs in Grissom's ears before several of his brothers turned and returned fire.

4 or 5 of the Orcs fell to the ground. Grissom cracked his fingers and opened fire, downing one of the Orks.

"This isn't going to go so well!" Grissom hissed while he sighed. Grissom continued to fire, leaning into the shots to steady his arm.

This however, did give them an angle to fire at the Space Marine commander. Though the sheer noise of their assault threw off their aim.

Grissom managed to down another trio of Orks before his weapon clicked. He fired again only to hear another click.

Grissom cursed and hefted the empty weapon at the Orks, smashing one of the Orks to the ground.

Grissom cursed and ducked back into cover. He looked at his blade before realizing even if his armor COULD hold up to Ork gunfire? He had no reason to blindly charge into the horde of gunfire.

Grissom cracked his fingers and looked at the Orks. There came more Orks for every 6 or so killed off. Grissom cursed the Orks.

They were nothing more then a wall of screeching flesh and flashing rifles.

"We need to clear out these Orks…" Grissom stated before one of the Orks collapsed near him. Grissom blinked and looked at the soldier.

The Ork held a frag grenade. Grissom blinked once more as he looked at the Orks.

They had barely stopped firing… Still? If he could manage to get the explosive? He could clear out the tunnel.

"Shoot da space marines!" One of the Orks roared as Grissom grabbed at the grenade. He could feel bolts whirling around his head.

Grissom scooped up the grenade only for a bolt to smash into his shoulder pauldron. It barely moved the Chaos Marine who primmed the explosive.

He hurled the grenade forward at the Orks who had burned through their current ammunition. They looked at the grenade before one growled.

"Damn humie." The Ork snarled before the explosive detonated. The Orks vanished in a ball of fire and smoke.

Grissom sighed and drew his Chainsword. He didn't intend to use the blade in combat yet… But it seemed that he had no choice.

With luck? Perhaps the Orks had raided the planet and had more bolters aboard their treasures.

"Do you think the Orks know we're here?" One of the marines questioned as Grissom hummed.

He was beginning to get used to the gesture. Grissom turned and looked over his shoulder.

"Yes, we move for the bridge." Grissom ordered to his men. "Keep fingers on triggers, brothers. The Orks will send more men towards us soon." Grissom muttered and looked to the side.

He could hear the sounds of combat below. Grissom beckoned his men forward and walked further into the warrior.

Grissom wondered if the rest of the Orks would be as dangerous as this. Grissom did know for a fact that the Orks would end up challenging them at the moment and such.

Grissom hummed and looked to the side.
