Kim Possible: Vamped

"You think she'll be all right," Dana finally asked as Shego sat with the girl who seemed to be brooding more than usual.
"If anyone can or will be, it's her, kiddo," Shego assured her.
"I know she really is great. I mean, even more than the stories I used to hear. To think, she was out there doing….all that fantastic stuff when I was just trying to make my mom like me. My birth mom. I never have figured out…."
"Some people are just losers, kiddo. Get over it, and focus on what matters," Shego told her. "Trust me, we can't all have parents like Kimmie's. They're pretty rare."
"Yeah, I….."
"What was that," Dana asked as they both eyed one another as Shego fell silent as something massive seemed to crash not far away.
Shego jumped up, grabbing her GJ communicator she had been issued just in case as she went to the front door, jerking it open.
"No…..way," Dana gasped, seeing a smoldering cylinder of some kind at the far end of the block that had burst open.
Only it wasn't just smoldering. It was spilling out what seemed dozens of snarling, featureless ghouls with sickly yellow eyes and glistening fangs. And behind them came….
"Oy," Shego groaned as she fixed her gaze on a seven-foot Kimmie in a bad mood. One with stunted wings, a misshapen face, and oversized fangs. The huge doppelganger was clad in a dark jumpsuit with a stylized N on the buckle, and she eyed Dana as she said, "Okay, here's the plan. I can't cut loose around you, so let's herd them into the old Granger lot," she pointed to indicate the fenced lot, "Then you bail while I roast them. Got it."
"I….."
"Kiddo, you're at least as dangerous as Kimmie used to be. She trained you herself, so I know you're good. This isn't about getting hurt. It's about a whole lot of our neighbors getting torn to shred if we don't….move," Shego shouted and leaped forward to slam plasma-encased fists into the nearest ghouls now charging them.
"I can do this," Dana said as if trying to convince herself, and charged after her when she saw a mob of the ghouls heading for a nearby house where a mother and her young daughter stood on the deck gaping.
"Get inside," Dana shouted as she ran toward them even as the little girl now began to scream as she realized the strange scene before her was real. "Go," she shouted and gave a leap that should have been impossible to cut the ghouls off to start driving them back with fists and feet to try to follow Shego's ploy.
"This isn't working," Shego complained, the ghouls hissing their rage at being attacked, but not much else as they proved all but impossible to manage.
"Call mom," Dana shouted at her.
"Why don't….?
"Left my phone in the house," she said as she kept jumping around, trying to keep the monstrous ghouls from reaching any of their neighbor's houses.
And then a sudden massive fist drove her back as the giant misshapen Kimberly roared and joined the fight.
"Call…..mom," Dana snarled, coming off the ground to charge the creature even as Shego swore, and doused one fist to pull out her communicator again as Dana obviously showed just how she could be dangerous, too, as she slowly began to hammer the staggering giant back with her own blows.
Only Shego could tell she was just muscling it back. She wasn't hurting it, and even Dana was going to get tired if she kept fighting the way she was just then.
"Princess," Shego shouted the moment she connected. "We need you back here, and now. We have serious trouble."
"Trouble? What is….?"
"How about an army of ghouls led by a seven-foot version of you," Shego shouted, and then shouted, "Run, you morons," as more of the neighbors actually coming out to watch. "Those things are real!"
Even as she shouted, another swarm of ghouls hit her, and she lost her communicator, and it ended up crunched underfoot as she had to focus on her own fighting as she knew she couldn't help Dana just then.
The last thing the kid needed was her getting close when she was still sensitive to some UV, and her plasma was likely lethal to her from the way the ghouls were acting when she hit them. Only to turn it up meant hurting Dana, which left her fighting against very bad odds.
"We heard you needed help," Ron said as she saw a flash of blue, and something sped across her peripheral vision even as over a dozen ghouls dropped as a glowing blue boomerang suddenly returned to Ron's hand as he landed nearby.
Even as he did, a small jet roared past, and several more figures in black ninja garb appeared and began wading into the mass of undead creatures with grim intent.
"Let me guess…."
"Wade overheard your call. He sent us. Kim is still out of range just now."
"Any clues on the obvious Franken-Kimmie," she asked, "Because the kid is slowing down, and I can't help without hurting her."
Ron eyed her barely fluttering fists, and nodded.
"Right. Dana," he shouted. "Fall back, and protect those neighbors in the most trouble. Shego is going to go nova."
"Stoppable," she growled.
"It's our best chance. There's too many to fight one-on-one without them getting past us and hurting someone."
"I'll check the backyards," Dana shouted, racing away from the roaring Kim who acted as if she were about to follow. "Do what you have to do," she called back.
"Hirotaka, keep that monster in the street. Don't let it follow. Ready," Ron asked, and moved with his fellow ninja to move out and surround the outer edges of the mass of ghouls. "We'll shove them into that empty lot, and you can turn loose on them."
"My original plan, ninja-boy, but these things are hard to manage."
"We'll manage," Ron countered and joined his ninja allies as they slowly but inexorably began to guide the seemingly mindless things toward that fenced lot.
Right before the giant Kimberly roared again, and the gathered mass seemed to scatter in all directions again.
"Okay, new plan," Ron said. "Shego cut them down, I'll get rid of the quarterback calling plays," he said and raced toward the giant redhead with his glowing sword in hand.
"This is not fun," Shego snarled and began to blast the ghouls at full power now that Dana was out of sight.
This time, the effect was obvious.
The pale creatures shrieked even as they crumbled to ash, and one strike was enough to put down several at once since they were still bunched up in small groups as they tried to swarm their apparent victims.
The ninja, however, only let them close so they could better attack them as Ron now faced the giant as he dodged and feinted, trying to distract the malformed giant from guiding the ghouls as it seemed she was doing.
Which was the moment when the giant roared again as it noted Shego was all but melting her army in larger and larger groups as the glowing green woman hammered every pale face before her. Baring her own fangs, the giant literally kicked Ron aside and charged Shego.
Shego barely deflected the big fist that came at out before she realized it, but when she unleashed a torrent of plasma in the giant's face, it only shook its malformed head and snarled at her before trying to hit Shego again.
"Stoppable, we have a ringer," Shego complained as she again had to dodge.
"Tag team," Ron shouted and jumped to slam feet-first into the giant's back. "She obviously wants to stop you, so keep wiping out the small fry, and I'll keep this thing busy so she can't stop you," he declared and slashed at the broad back before the doppelganger could rise again.
"This is getting ridiculous," Shego finally swore as it seemed there was still an unending horde surging around them no matter how many they killed.
"The rocket," Ron realized. "They're still coming out. It must be some kind of portal thingy that is keeping reinforcements coming."
"Right. Then we have to close it before we can get rid of these things," Shego realized as the first police only then began to arrive.
"Stay back," Dana appeared to shout. "These things are killers. Just keep civilians back and out of harm's way," she told the big cop at the lead as she flashed her GJ badge.
She heard one of the cops swearing to slap someone who had been complaining it was getting boring lately and then saw Shego headed for the cylinder.
"What are you doing," she asked.
"That thing is somehow keeping reinforcements coming out. We figure it must have a portal or something fueling them. We have to shut it down."
"Electronics are my deal," Dana smiled now. "Keep them off me, and I'll see if we can do something about not only closing it but getting rid of those things."
Dampening her plasma as Dana rushed over, she joined with her to hammer their way to the cylinder, and Dana took a quick look inside during a lull before another surge began again.
"Well," Shego complained.
"Give me a minute. The inside is nothing. Just a container for the electronics that I think…. Bingo," she said as she circled the still smoldering cylinder. "I'm betting this is….the brain…. And with just a little rewiring," she grinned as she went to work on the small panel she jerked open with her fingers to start tearing out wires and crossing certain ones.
The entire cylinder began to hum oddly, and vibrate, but the rush of new ghouls ended, and once more the numbers began to fall as the police and the ninja kept working on driving them back, and finally toward that lot as Ron kept the big giant busy.
"Okay, we should go. We can't suck the rest up, but I think it's going to blow up…..!"
"Run, kiddo," Shego swore as the humming turned into a whine.
She glared as they barely cleared the immediate area before the odd cylinder exploded.
"You're definitely Kimmie's kid," Shego swore at her as they picked themselves up again in the wake of the explosion that shook the entire block. "Now get to cover. I'm about to play street sweeper," she said, lifted two blazing hands.
Dana yelped and rushed for shelter behind a house.
"Keep her busy, Stoppable," she called out as she stalked toward the thickening mass of ghouls the ninja were still herding toward that lot now almost completely filled. "I'm about to turn up the heat."
"On it," Ron called back, still jumping, dodging, and doing his best to hammer at the giant who seemed to shake off anything he did without showing much effort.
Shego gestured at one of the nearer ninjas, and he backed away as she began to glow almost bodily as she unleashed a torrent of steady plasma that cut into the mass of sickly pale flesh as their shrieks turned deafening as Shego melted them with ease now.
The giant Kim roared, and Shego heard thunderous footsteps racing her way but focused on the threat before her.
Before the heavy steps got close, she heard something fall heavily, and Ron shouting gleefully as she turned and angled her plasma beams as she began to walk forward now, and swept the area before actually entering the lot and noted come of the ghouls were trying to climb the high wooden fencing.
She didn't give them the chance.
Behind her, the sounds of battle intensified as the growls and snarls of that oddly silent creature continued to sound not far off. Finally, she vaporized the last ghoul and dropped to her knees as her plasma faded, and her casual clothing scorched and even her hair slightly smoking as she felt a rush of weakness in the wake of her efforts.
"Okay, guys. It's all yours," she said and fell on her face.
Ron raced to intercept the giant again who had seen her fall. Even as he ran, he knew he wasn't going to get there in time. He prepared to throw his sword when a shrill whining sounded, and then something hit the big woman head-on, propelling back up the block.
Then the Roth landed as the real Kim Possible climbed out of the vehicle, eyes glowing a dark red as she eyed the copy who was already standing up.
"KP, this thing is unstoppable," Ron shouted.
"Wrong," Kim said, and flashed her own fangs as she seemed to vanish, and the big copy went flying again, sliding down the pavement as Kim stayed on top of her as if riding her while punching that misshapen face until it was all but pulped.
The giant wailed, trying to flail at her, and Kim's hand flashed, tearing out great gouts of flesh from the creature's throat. The battered copy gave a choking, garbling cry as Kim stood hunched over her, eyes glowing and snarling in rage as she drove a suddenly bladed hand into the big chest, and tore out the copy's heart. She crushed the pulsing organ in her hand as she let the dying thing expire as the police and neighbors gaped at her twisted, furious expression as she was all but bathed in the creature's blood by then.
"KP," Ron asked uneasily as Kim seemed to literally tremble violently as if containing something on the verge of escape.
Then Dana was there, hugging her, and crying as she just clung to her.
"It's okay," Kim finally sighed. "It's okay," she said and held Dana as she gently stroked her back.
"No. No, it's not," Dana told her. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't fast enough, and there were so many…."
"Dana, what is it?"
That was when the paramedics carried the body toward an ambulance, one of many that had arrived by then to help those hurt by the ghouls.
She eyed Dana, and then walked over to the gurney, and pulled back the sheet.
"No," Ron said, staring into Monique's bloody face. Her obviously dead face.
"This guy….dies," Kim snarled, and turned and stalked toward her house, not one person getting in her way.
"What happened," Ron asked Dana who stood there sniffing as Kim headed for the house without looking back.
"She tried…. She tried to help…."
"It's all right, Dana," Ron told her.
"No," Dana told him, seeing Kim disappear into the house. "It's not going to be all right. Kim loved her. She…really…."
Ron frowned, then looked after Kim.
"Damn," he atypically swore.
