Well... This was not something I would ever think of.
I think this would be something that would on the line a AU Crack Fic. But I wanted write this, because it came up into my brain, and I decided that my idea was to be put on this. So honestly if your asking for some sense in terms of My Hero Academia or anything in the sorts, you probably won't find a lot of it in this story.
But I wanted to try my hand on something of this sort.
So without further ado, let's get to summary of what this is going to be.
Something has happen to the Heroes of Japan in the world of My Hero Academia. Certain one's have disappeared and are off the grid, meanwhile others are searching for them.
However a certain green haired boy is only one that is aware of this change, but can he make enough of a difference without the use of One For All and save the people that is trapped.
Now that the basis is over, let's get started.
Italics are thoughts, Bold is Fairies talking, and both is important character dialouge.
I don'town any of these franchises, but I wish I did.
Chapter 1: Waking Up To A New Reality.
Life has always thrown curveballs at Izuku Midoriya, it was never the same old day in day out with him when it came to different types of situations in his hero career.
Whether it be certain feelings like getting your quirk for the first time from your #1 idol of all time, testing for the top hero school in all of the country and getting into said school to become the best hero he could be, and having so many near death experiences in that profession that maybe even a life insurance company would never back you up to pay for your future family.
However... no amount of prior experience would help him in the adventure he would be taking.
This is the story of the Hero of Time and his adventure to become the legend he needs to be.
Location:?
Time: 11:00 AM
Izuku could feel it...
Something feels very... unusual at this very moment.
He first felt that strange feeling when he woke up from his sleep in during the weekend, nothing really felt right when he started opening his eyes to his room that he was sleeping in. He let out a loud yawn, he went to scratch his head usually to get out any itchy feelings in his fluffy green hair, however he didn't feel the normal feeling of hair when he scratched.
His face morphed into confused look when he felt some kind of strange cloth that he didn't remember having on his head when he went to sleep last night, it felt like a soft cloth keeping his green hair from getting wild in the morning.
"That's strange... I don't remember having something like that as sleepwear..." His groggy mind thought, still trying to wake himself up to the morning light.
But that was the least of his concerns at this moment.
The question was why did his bed feel so uncomfortable right now?
It felt like he was sleeping on a wooden plank.
He shifted his body to see if he could maybe get a bit more comfortable and get away with resting his eyes a bit more, before his usual morning routine and mandatory breakfast to keep himself in tip-top shape.
Finally after squirming around for a few seconds, his body found a posture that was deemed acceptable and finally decided to relax.
He looked down and to his surprise it was just a giant slab of wood he was sleeping on as his bed. It didn't even look like a bed in the dorms, but he still felt compelled to sleep on it, Izuku just felt so refreshed when he slept on his wooden log bed. So without anymore of quick glances at the comfy wood, he laid back down and shut his eyes for some more good shut eye before he needs to do his normal routine.
Ah, nothing wrong with this picture here, everything's alright in the world.
...
...
...
Wait.
WHAT!
His eyes widened as fast as they could, looking bloodshot from the insanity of his initial thinking.
He quickly jumped out of his bed like his life depended on it. However he fell in the process and his face landing on the hard wooden floor, his covers twisting his legs and making lose his balance, making him fall off the bed.
Quickly kicking off the covers tangling his legs and getting to his feet, Izuku took in the surroundings of his room. Trying to get reassurance that everything was fake, he pinched himself and made sure that he was just in a dream, that this is just one big fever dream and that he would wake up in his familiar house and go on with his normal hero life.
Only to notice that he feels wide awake and he's still in the same spot as he was, with the exact same looking wooden atmosphere he woke up in.
He started to panic a slight bit, looking at his unfamiliar house. It looked like he lived in a tree, he had a lot of wooden furniture that looked like it was suited for a child, with small wooden stumps as chairs and a small wooden table. he looked to his left and noticed a mirror and another table for his looks and in the middle a giant stump from it looks like the tree he was living in.
He quickly got on his feet, feeling very strange in the process. He felt everything was a bit too tall in his opinion, Izuku was pretty sure he should be way taller than a giant log stump in the middle.
Something felt terribly wrong, and he hadn't felt this type of fear since the Slime Man incident.
Something too palpable.
"What is going on right now? Why do I feel so weird, and why do I have a very bad feeling about this dream." He squeaked out nervously, his voice even felt different too. His body shouldn't feel like this at all and he should be feeling normal, but his voice felt way too squeaky.
He rushed towards the mirror and table on the left side to check himself out, to make sure everything was ok.
But once he examined himself in the mirror, his jaw dropped in horror.
He looked at the kid in the reflection. With a different attire that has never seen before or looked too old to wear. Wearing a light forest green cap on his equally forest green hair, he also was wearing what looks like a strange green tunic, with a reddish belt on his waist to hold it up, and some strange looking elvish boots he has never seen before.
However while Izuku looked on with a horrified expression at his clothing, the biggest glaring problem wasn't his clothing.
It was his age.
"WHY DO I LOOK LIKE I'M 10 YEARS OLD!" The green haired boy screamed out at the top of his lungs, with his eyes wide in disbelief. He couldn't believe this was happening to him. Why did he regress back down to being a kid again. He feels so helpless when he didn't have his quirk from All Might, but when his 16 year old body had it, he felt powerful and could take on a whole legion of villains when he had trained so hard for said power, he felt secure enough to help the ones that needed it.
But now, he felt like that helpless boy again when he was putting up with Kacchan and the countless bullying when he was deemed quirkless. Izuku was hyperventilating and close to having a mental and physical breakdown if he didn't get some kind of help to see if something was wrong with him. This just didn't feel right, he couldn't feel the power of One For All coursing through him at all!
He needed to see his Mother, All Might, Aizawa, or anybody to make sense of this horrible situation for him. Izuku looked at the exit of his 'house' and rushed to see if his mother knew anything about this. He needed someone's help and fast, it didn't matter who it was that explained it to him, he just needed some help for god's sake!
"I must be losing my damn mind! What is happening right now? This can't be real, it just has to be an endless nightmare!" He thought, starting to lose his composer and was feeling a little light headed from all of the shock this drastic change has brought to his life.
He looked outside and checked out his surroundings, Izuku realized he wasn't really standing on the ground. He looked behind him to see where he was living at and he saw his home was literally in fact a giant tree. But the more he looked on, the more he felt like he was losing his mind.
So while he could take that into account that his house has literally changed, he could live with that and maybe get his head around this situation. However there is this one big issue that the green haired kid could not wrap his head around.
The entire world around him looked nothing like modern day Japan.
In fact, this whole area looked nothing like he has ever seen before in his entire life.
It looked like a village of sorts. All of the buildings made almost entirely of wood or even made of trees like his. He looked around and saw regular trees blocking his vision of seeing anything else. The area is surrounded by what looked like thousands of trees making a protective area of covering this place.
Izuku just couldn't take it anymore, all of this being revealed to him at once was just too much for his mind to take.
So like with any normal sane human would do, he reacted like anyone else ever would.
He fainted.
So with a thud on the upper platform, his eyes shut just as he faceplanted from his overloading panic attack.
(Elsewhere in Kokiri Forest)
The guardian of this forest was none other than the mighty Great Deku Tree, he has protected all of his children, Kokiri and Fairies alike for years and would continue to do so until his days were finally numbered.
Unfortunately, he feels that the end of his life is near...
The evil that courses within him has been slowly killing him, sapping him of his great power to protect the forest and his children. While has been protecting his home for centuries, it feels like the time had come.
To fulfill the prophecy that the goddess had foretold, to stop the evil that has plagued him and the land of Hyrule for years.
It is time... For the Boy of Destiny, to start his journey to fight the coming storm.
"Iida, Iida where art thou. I require thy assistance. Come Hither." The wise tree spoke out to the land around him.
No sooner had the request of said person, a small ball of blue light floated up to his face to show him he was there.
"Yes, Great Deku Tree. What do you require of me?" The ball of light said, hanging onto his every word for the guardian of the forest.
" Does thou sense what I have been feeling Iida the fairy? A wave of evil has taken over this land. It has been slow at first, but now I have felt its shroud circle around thee. For centuries Kokiri Forest has been guarded and stood as a barrier from this evil, deterring outsiders and maintaining order of the world." The ancient tree explained to Iida, he felt his leaves fall from him along with his strength. Iida looked on at the tree, concerned for his father's condition.
" Wise Deku Tree, are you in need of assistance? Is there anything I can do to help you?" Iida said with his concerns voiced to his father figure.
" Do not worry for me Iida, while I have been protecting this forest for centuries, thou must pay attention to thee. Even before this evil, even my power is nothing against this coming catastrophe against the land of Hyrule!" He explained urgently to the fairy. The fairy in question was sweating nervously, pushing his glasses on his face as a nervous tick he has when something is wrong.
" Then what can we do to change it father? What can I do to change the fate of this land? Surely there must be something we can do about this!" Iida said as his tiny arms started chopping the air, usually to destress him from this pivotal situation he was put in.
"It is time young Iida, thou must seek out the boy without a fairy and begin his journey, the youth who is destined to lead this land of Hyrule to justice and truth." He said, feeling the power slip from him further.
Realizing his time is shorter than expected, he decides to send Iida now, to help the young lad on his quest to saving this world.
Only Iida would not realize how much of important role he would play in the fate of this land.
" Iida... Go now! Find our young friend and guide him to me... I do not have much time left." The tree spoke to him with much vigor as could give.
"But fath-"
"Fly, Iida, fly! The fate of the forest, nay, the world, depends upon thee!" The Great Deku Tree bellowed out to Iida, startling the fairy.
With those last words uttered, Iida wasted no time, listening to his father's wishes he took off towards the trees, leaving the mighty guardian with his thoughts of the future.
"Good luck Iida, you are our only hope to saving this world." He thought, as he looked on towards the vast amount of trees covering the land. He wondered how much time is left for himself, he was hoping that not only that Iida could be the boy's guide.
But make feel likes he belongs...
Iida went as fast his wings could flap to find the boy with no fairy.
He has heard tales of the prophecy many times from his father figure before. He was always thinking he would never see this vision come true and it was all fantasy, a hoax, and that everything would be business as usual with the Deku Tree.
But as fate would have it, this time he was serious, the prophecy was to be fulfilled in this era now.
The trees around him felt like blurs as he rushed towards his objective: the beginning of this child's journey.
"I can't believe the turn of events, the probability of this situation happening in my lifetime is in a low percentage. I feel honored that the Great Deku Tree chose me to find the boy, but I cannot shake the coming cataclysm that this blight on the world could foresee." He thought, as he was reaching an opening of light, signaling the clearing towards the Kokiri Village.
The forest opened to the village of Kokiri Forest, where all of the Deku Tree's children and fairies live out there days in peace, but with the warning his father gave him, who knows how long that would last. He wanted to greet his friends he usually talked to, and maybe greet and hang out with old friends to have a little friendly chat.
But this task was too urgent, Iida was in a hurry to serve his father and listen to his instructions, so he decided to beeline towards the chosen child's house, introduce himself to the boy, and tell him the upmost importance on meeting the Great Deku Tree.
So with his resolve clear and mission paramount, he headed straight for the treehouse.
"Why... waking up... stupid loser..."
"Bakugo... be nice... he's different... shouldn't be mean."
"Whatever Saria... He's still a Deku."
Izuku didn't know what happened after he had his little fainting episode, but he didn't remember being placed back into his house and on his wooden bed, and he especially didn't remember inviting other's into his house. His mind not really taking in the conversation these people were having in his house.
However from the tone of one the people's voices, he instantly is reminded of his friend/rival Kacchan's attitude and demeanor, however the other person he has never even heard of a person called Saria. So without telling either of them or alerting them, he started to wake up when they were about to get more into the conversation.
His bleary eyes checked over the first person, she had green hair, a tad lighter from his own forest green hair. To also match her aesthetic her hair also matched her clothing's color, having nothing but a light green shirt, shorts, boots, and belt. Her blue eyes were looking at the other person, with a flat look on her face, not looking amused in the slightest by the other individual.
"This must be Saria then, cause there's no way that deeper voice came from her." Izuku thought, as took a long look at her, she now had a frown replacing her indifferent look.
"Bakugo, I know you and Izuku are in the same boat! I thought you of all people would understand his pain, why do you continue to berate him when you both don't have fairies?" Saria said in a soothing but stern voice said to Bakugo, all he did was scoff and grumble at the accusation.
Izuku quickly turned his head towards the other individual his eyes widening, shocked to see Kacchan had almost the exact same thing happen to himself.
Bakugo looked as young as Izuku did, no older than 10, and he was the same height as him and had the same attire: green tunic shirt, green cap, belt and shoes in all. The only thing that stood out as a comparison is Kacchan's spiky blond mop of hair and his red eyes, compared to Izuku's emerald green ones.
"Tch... Still doesn't change the fact that the loser is still a Deku." Bakugo growled out, but Saria just rolled her eyes, both parties not noticing that Izuku was awake, and staring at Bakugo with wide eyes.
"Also why do you call him a Deku? Its the name of our guardian, its not really much of an insult and he's not a mighty tree. So I don't really get the point in calling him that." Saria retorted, while it wasn't that much of an insult, Bakugo should learn to stop being so mean to poor Izuku, he gets enough teasing and names from Mido and the other bullies that its time her and the other Kokiri stepped in to help their friend out in this bullying problem.
"K-Kacchan?" Izuku was able to mutter out, both individual turning to the green haired boy. Saria gave him a warm smile seeing the boy, while Bakugo just gave him his usual scowl that he has seen time and time again.
"Good to see your doing better, I was coming to check up on you. You usually sleep in, so I decided to see how you were doing, when suddenly I heard a really loud scream come from your house. So Bakugo and I decided to see if you were ok. You are ok, right Izuku?" Saria said, with a concerning look on her face. But Izuku wasn't really paying attention to her, he was focused on Bakugo.
"As if, you only dragged me here to this nerd's house Saria." But she shushed him, waiting on Izuku's response.
But he was so focused on the blond haired kid that he didn't know what to say about this situation.
It wasn't until Bakugo spoke up that he was back to the living world.
"Hey nerd! Are you gonna answer her question or not! You fainted on the top of your house you idiot, or did you forget? Answer us and confirm that you are ok!" Bakugo yelled at Izuku, breaking him out of his strange trance that he was in staring at his friend/rival.
He looked himself over and took a deep breath, he just needed to calm down. He needed to figure something out and get to the bottom of why he was brought to this world, because apparently Kacchan was taken here too and he needs to make a plan, but first he needed to relax and taken this all in.
"Yeah. I think I am alright guys, thanks for the concern." He breathed out, looking to both the people in question. Saria was relieved by his answer, but Bakugo just huffed at him in a typical standoff kind of way.
"Good! Cause the next time you decide to have a fainting episode and alert the whole village, I am just going to throw you in the local pond to wake your ass up!" Bakugo threatened the green haired kid. Izuku kinda panicked at what his friend said, he didn't know was that concerned about his wellbeing and causing that much of a ruckus for everyone here.
"Ahhh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't know you guys were that worried about me. I just thought with all that's happened to us Kacchan, that you would be more freaked out to what's happening to us and I with us being so young and all, even though we are suppose to 16 to 17 years old, I thought that you would know to what happened to us and the other's an-." Izuku then kept muttering to himself after explaining a ton of dialogue, Saria looked at him funny for some reason, she was kinda weirded out by this behavior whenever he gets like this, but she knew her friend meant well, though it was a head scratcher to say the least.
Despite what everyone says, he always found a way to make things happened around him one way or another and she couldn't be more happy when having Izuku around.
It just made her life that much better to have the green haired boy around.
Bakugo on the other hand...
"AHHHHH DAMNIT! WOULD SHUT THE HELL UP WITH YOUR CONSTANT MUTTERING! WE CAN'T HEAR SHIT OF WHAT YOUR SAYING AT ALL! ALSO WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN BY WHAT'S HAPPENING, WE HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR YEARS AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!" Bakugo yelled at him, shaking the young kid from the front of his tunic.
"Would you let go of him Bakugo, this is unacceptable to what you are doing to him." She went up to the blond and pushed him off, trying to let the green haired boy some space.
"OH SO NOW YOUR TAKING HIS SIDE ARE YOU? THEN HOW ABOUT WE TALK ABOUT HOW YOUR PUSHING ME OFF OF THE SHITTY LOSER! HE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN HIMSELF!"
"Well if you just listen to him and let him talk, maybe he'll explain it to us or are you gonna try and bully the answer out of him and shun him like Mido does?"
"PLEASE, THAT SNOT NOSED WANNABE IS JUST AS MUCH OF A NERD AS THE DEKU HERE! IF I WANTED TO BE LIKE THAT LOSER, I'D BEAT UP THIS NERD EVERYDAY!"
"That's just typical of you Bakugo, beating up other's just to show everyone up! When are you gonna get it through your thick skull that nobody likes that about you? Even Mido has his limits on being a total jerk."
As the two continued arguing, Izuku wasn't really focused on them, instead what drew his attention away from his two friend's was this small blue light with wings coming towards the door. He saw the blue light sneak past the two, not willing to get into the middle of their squabbling, by flying above their heads and fluttering close to where Izuku was resting.
Suddenly the blue ball let his voice be know to the green haired boy.
"Hey, are you perhaps the boy named Izuku, the boy without a fairy?" The blue light said, the other two people in the room still in the middle of their argument still oblivious to the fairy talking to the green haired boy.
Izuku gave the fairy a once over before responding, he didn't like the feeling of this fairy. It wasn't a bad feeling per say, but he had a feeling that this reveal of this person's name is going to shock him for some reason.
"Well it is nice to meet you young lad, my name is Iida the fairy and I will be your guide towards our guardian the Great Deku Tree. He has summoned you my youthful friend, so let's get a move on to meet him." Iida said, Izuku shivering in concern and realizing he was right about his fears.
He finally got a good look at Iida, one of his best friends and hero in arms. He had an emerald green and white sleeveless armor look, with strange looking tights and boots that looked combat oriented, he also had his same blue hair, blue eyes, and glasses sitting on his face.
The look worked in Izuku's eyes and it was practical for his friend, he almost looked the same as he always does and if he was being honest he wouldn't mind Iida as his guide as he was the smartest in the cla-
WAIT A MINUTE!
Why was he worried about that? He should be worried that the fact that his friend Iida.
Was a fairy.
"IIDA WHY ARE YOU A FAIRY? WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU! WE NEED TO GET YOU BACK TO NORMAL!" Izuku started to panic again, he couldn't take anymore of this today. He needed something that made sense and he was hoping one of the smartest in his class could explain what in the hell is going on here.
He also garnered the attention of the other two arguing, both Bakugo and Saria paying full attention to the other conversation.
"Young lad what are you suggesting? I have always been a fairy and I don't think I have changed in the slightest in the past rotation of our moon and sun cycle, so to assume that I am not normal is suggesting that I have another form that, I myself, am not aware of." Iida explained to him while hand chopping towards the green haired boy, showing this is Iida Tenya in full.
But again, as small fairy the size of his hand.
So with all logical reason, there was only one course of action to follow up about the fate of his friend now.
He fainted again.
And with that, this is the first chapter to the crack fic.
What is wrong with me...
Either way. Yes this is a Zelda and My Hero Academia mixture. But more so, their will be more MHA characters being put into the world and I think my favorite thing to talk about is The Legend of Zelda, so I got to thinking why not put these two together since I like them so much.
So while there will be MHA characters in the story, there will still be Zelda character's in the mix.
Also another thing about this story is, I am going to not only include just OOT items, but also stuff from the other games and you'll know why later.
Well, I hope you would.
But in regards to if there will be any relationship stuff, I am going to save that for later and I hope you will like to what I have to say.
Also I am not against any kind of suggestions on where to put who in the world, but I also have so kind of idea to put someone, so if you have a suggestion about this, either leave it in the comment section or PM me.
Either way that about raps this chapter up.
So I'll see you guys in the next one, this is IronGiant9000 and I am signing off.
Next Chapter: A Guide On Not Being A Deku Scrub
