A/N - Alexa Gilbert returns on founders day and knows about vampires. She finds out that Elena is entangled with two brothers and they have messed with Jeremy's memory.

Chapter 1 - Return to Mystic Falls

Alexa's pov

It was Founder's day, I got a cab to Caroline's house. I got out with my bag and knocked on the door. She opened it and hugged me, "Alexa, I'm glad you're back." She told me.

"Me too, John said it would be a good idea to come back." I told her.

Liz walked towards the front door and saw me, "Alexa, dear. Welcome home." She told me.

"Thank you Liz." I said to her.

"Come in and put your bag in the guest room. Caroline has the Ms Mystic Float to be on." Liz told me.

I nodded and took my bag inside, I put my bag in the guest room. I walked out of the house with Caroline and Liz. I helped Caroline get ready by curling her hair.

Elena walked into the room with Jenna when Liz was hanging up Caroline's dress. "Oh my god, Alexa." Jenna said to me.

"Hey aunt Jenna." I said to her.

Elena looked slightly annoyed that I was here. I finished Caroline's hair, "Thank you Lex. It's perfect." She told me.

"Need help with the dress?" I asked her.

She nodded, I helped her tie the back of the dress and she was happy. "I can't wait for Matt and Bonnie to see you." She told me.

"Me too, I miss Bonnie and Matt." I told her.

She looked at herself in the mirror. "It's perfect, let's go." She said grabbing my hand, dragging me from the room and away Elena.

We met up with Matt and Bonnie. Matt hugged me, "It's good to see you again Lexi." He told me.

"You too, Matt. What happened?" I asked him.

"Truck trapped my arm." He told me.

I looked at him, "Hope it heals okay." I said to him.

Bonnie hugged me, "I'm glad your back. Have you seen Elena and Jeremy?" She asked me.

"Just Elena and Jenna. Where is my little bro?" I asked her.

"Probably on one of the floats." She told me.

Caroline had a camera with her, "I want pictures with us all." She said to us all.

Bonnie took the camera and took a photo of me, Caroline and Matt. I stepped aside as Bonnie took one of Caroline and Matt. Tyler walked over and took it from Bonnie and snapped a photo of all of us.

Matt looked annoyed at Tyler, Bonnie took my hand and pulled me away. "Do I even want to know?" I asked her.

She shook her head, "A world of no." She told me.

"Boyfriend drama." I said to her, she laughed a little.

We were watching the parade, I was watching for Caroline and Matt. Wanting to get some pictures of them both for her. A tall dark haired guy stood in front of us both.

He turned around and looked at Bonnie, Bonnie grabbed my hand. "What do you want?" She asked him.

"Just watching the parade." He told her.

Bonnie was pulling me away, "Where are you two going?" He asked us both.

"Away from you creep." I told him.

"I want to say something to you Bonnie." He said to her.

"Just leave me alone." She told him.

"Listen mate, back off. Okay." I told him.

He looked at me, "Who are you?" He asked me.

"Alexa Gilbert, I'm telling you right now to leave Bonnie alone otherwise I'll go right to the sheriff." I told him, pulling Bonnie away.

She smirked at me, "Thank you." She told me.

I looked at her, "I know what he was Bonnie." I told her.

She looked at me, "Wait you know?" She asked me.

I nodded, "John has told me everything." I told her.

She let out a little sigh, "Are you on vervain?" She asked me.

I nodded, "I take it and put it in my perfume." I told her.

She smirked at me, "Good, I need to tell you something." She said to me.

I looked at her, "I'm a witch." She said to me.

"Wow, that's cool." I said to her. We headed to the Grill so I could find and surprise Jeremy. I was closer to Jeremy than Elena.

Bonnie went off to the bathroom while I looked around the Grill for Jeremy. I walked up to the bar. "Hey do you have an application form?" I asked the bar tender.

He nodded and gave it to me. "Thank you." I took it and put it in my bag.

I saw Elena talking to the guy that was bothering Bonnie earlier. I was looking around for Jeremy then I saw him and Elena bee lined over to him. I sighed as the guy walked over to me.

I went to walk away, "Leave me alone jerk." I told him.

He justed smirked at me, "Well aren't we a firey little spitfire." He told me.

"Go away jerk." I told him, I shove past him and saw Jeremy.

"Hey Jeremy." I said to him.

He smiled and hugged me. He picked me up, "I'm so glad you're back." He told me.

I hugged him back. He set me down, "What's going on with you and my evil twin?" I asked him.

He sighed and pulled me away from the guy was lurking about. "She lied to me, Damon and her boyfriend Stefan are vampires." He whispered to me.

I looked at him, "I know about vampires, John told me." I told him.

He nodded, "Oh here we go." He said to me, as a blonde guy walked up to us both.

I grabbed Jeremy and dragged him outside of the Grill. "I have so many emotions but I don't have any way to express them. Being a teenager is so hard." Damon said mockingly behind me and Jeremy.

"Listen dickless, take a god damn hint and piss off." I told him.

"You do not talk to me like that." He told me.

"I am not Elena, I'll talk to you however I like." I told him, Jeremy chuckled.

"Again you do not talk to me like that and from now on both of you will not talk to your sister like that either." He told us both.

"So what, you gonna kill me because I hurt Elena's feelings?" Jeremy asked him.

"Why don't you back off dick? You know what, maybe I will tell the sheriff that you are threatening me and Jeremy." I told him, shoving him back.

"Cut her some slack." He told us both.

I shook my head, "She erased my memories." He told him.

"She did what? And before you ask dickless, I know about supernaturals." I told him.

Jeremy looked at me, "He killed Vickie." He told me.

Vickie was a close friend, I looked at Damon. "You are so dead." I told him.

"No I erased his memories, she was protecting him and you won't kill me." He told us both.

I looked at him, "I can't be compelled." I told him.

"It wasn't her call to make." Jeremy told him, grabbing my hand pulling me away from Damon.

Damon grabbed Jeremy's arm. "Let him go before we cause a scene. It would suck if the founders found out that vampires could walk about in the sun." I told him.

"Let them go." The blonde to Damon.

"You two okay?" He asked us both.

I looked at him, "Let me guess, Elena's boyfriend." I said to him.

He nodded, "What my brother is trying to say is don't blame Elena for this." He told Jeremy.

"He can make up his own mind." I told him.

He looked at me, "Damon turned Vickie. I killed her." He told me and Jeremy.

"Well the plot thickens. Two vamps on my hit list." I told him.

"She was a threat to you and Elena." He told Jeremy.

"No she wasn't." Jeremy told him.

"You shouldn't have taken a person's memories, it's human for us to mourn unlike you lot that can turn it off like a light switch." I told them both, pulling Jeremy away.

"What is the other one's name?" I asked him.

"Stefan." He told me.

"Good to know. You gonna be okay?" I said to him.

He nodded, "I'm gonna head off to find my friend, it's good to see you Lex." He said to me, he hugged me and went off.

I walked back into the grill to find Caroline. I found them in a booth looking at Tyler, "There you are." Caroline said to me.

"I was catching up with Jeremy and avoiding Elena and her boyfriends." I told her.

"Oh the Salvatores." She said to me.

I nodded sitting down, the Mayor walked over to Tyler. "Oh god child abuse incoming." I muttered.

Caroline and Matt watched as the Mayor grabbed Tyler ruffly. Caroline got up and walked over, Matt and I got up and went after her.

The mayor looked at all of us, "Please Tyler I need you to go home. Take your friends with you." He told him.

"Why? What's going on?" Matt asked him.

"I can't explain, all of you need to get home now." He told us all, giving Tyler his car keys.

"Caroline, Alexa, Matt go with him." He told us all.

We all got in the car, Tyler and Caroline were in the front. Matt and I were in the back seat. "What is that?" Tyler asked us all as he was driving.

"What's the matter?" Caroline asked him.

"That noise." He said to us all.

"What noise?" Matt asked him.

I saw Tyler grab the side of his head. "Tyler are you okay?" I asked him.

Tyler started screaming in pain. "Tyler." Caroline said to him.

"Tyler, pull over." I told him.

"Hey, Tyler the wheel." Matt said to him. The car swerved, Caroline grabbed the wheel as the car hit a wall. My neck snapped back as well as Matt's.

"Lex are you okay?" Matt asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said to him climbing out of the car.

Matt was checking Caroline over. "I'll stay with her, go and check on Tyler." I said to him.

He nodded, "Thanks Lex." He said running over to Tyler.

I saw Caroline swaying. "Care hey look at me are you okay?" I asked her.

She collapsed into my arms, "Help! Matt!" I shouted to him.

"CAROLINE!" He shouted running over to me and Caroline. The medic ran over with Matt.

He was checking her head, they got Caroline onto a gruny. "Matt we have to call Liz." I told him.

He nodded, "Let's go with her to the hospital." He told me.

We went with Caroline to the hospital. They took her into a&e, Matt rang Liz. I was passing back and forth freaking out about Caroline.

Matt walked over to me and hugged me, "She will be okay." He told me.

"I hope so." I told him.

Tyler walked in and over to the both of us. "Hey guys, I'm so sorry. I don't even know what happened." He told us both.

Matt nodded, "It's okay man. She'll be okay." Matt told him.

We all sat down waiting to hear about Caroline, Liz walked up to us all. "Is she okay?" I asked her.

"There was some internal bleeding there going to take her into surgery." Liz told us all.

I was in shock, "Is she gonna be okay?" Matt asked her.

"They're going to do everything they can." Liz told Matt, he sat back down.

I hugged Liz, she hugged me back. "She'll be okay Alexa." She said to me.

She pulled away from me and looked at Tyler. "Tyler have you spoke to your mum?" She asked him.

"I left her a message and told her I was here." He told her.

"You need to call her." She told him.

He looked at her, "What is it?" He asked her.

"It's your dad." She told him, her voice cracked.

I looked at him and he realised. He went off to call his mum. I stayed with Matt and Liz waiting on news about Caroline. This day was good and went to hell right away.
