Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of the story, cause I sure as hell loved writing it.

'Cricket's chirping'

...

Anyways, let's get back to our hero in the making, I hope he has the stones to go on his journey. His first trial as our 'Hero of Time' will come in the form of not sucking.

By the way I know it sudden to put both Bakugo and Iida as story character's and I know it might piss people off that I made the Tenya brother a fairy, but I think it suits him in a sense, he may not get some big action, but he's definitely a major character in the story.

Same with our resident ticking time bomb, if you get what I mean.

So without further delay, let's get started.

Chapter 2: A Guide On Not Being A Deku Scrub

There has always been saying that not every person is created equally, and that is true in a sense.

It has also been said that the path of the hero is an arduous journey that only the most dedicated of heroes can achieve.

As well as the first step on said journey being the most difficult.

For Izuku Midoriya in this case, that is the understatement of the century.

Kokiri Forest

10:00 AM

When Izuku came back into consciousness, he felt like he couldn't breathe.

It almost felt like he was drowning in water with nowhere to go right now, just like he felt in this unknown world he woke up in.

Maybe that's why he couldn't breathe right now, the pressure getting to now not only his mind but his body, it felt like it was crumbling under the weight of helplessness he felt in his ten year old body, with both Iida and Kacchan not understanding the situation they were in, him being the only one noticing that something has gone horribly wrong and can't explain the situation to either of them.

They were in this unknown area, with only Izuku knowing what was wrong, he struggled and flailed his body around. But to no avail , his wasted movements were just as useless as his explanations to his friends that won't listen to his reasonings.

It just felt like the pressure just kept pushing him down into the sea of despair, trying to drown him.

Wait...

Why did his body actually feel like it was drowning?

He opened his eyes and realized his body was only in shallow water, but a hand was attached to the back of his capped head, while his entire body was also submerged in the greenish blue water. He began to flail as hard as he could to notify whoever held his head underneath the liquid should bring him back up before he actually gets drowned to death.

(Above the Surface)

(Kokiri Forest Theme)

"What in the name of the goddesses are you doing to that young lad! This is unacceptable behavior and I will not see it go further." Iida chopping his small fairy arms at the blond currently holding the green head under the water of the pond.

It was all simple in Bakugo's eyes really. He warned the Deku if he fainted again and worried the entire forest village with what he did, what the consequences would be for these actions.

In all honesty, he thought the nerd deserved it anyways.

As soon as he saw that fairy near Deku, all he saw was red and he didn't mean fire, he was seething with anger. He didn't care about him being called towards that stuck up old twig for some kind of task.

It was the fact that a fairy decided to follow that Broccoli haired loser and instead of him that made him take the unconscious boy, despite the protests from both Saria and Iida, dragged his ass towards the pond where all the other Kokiri were watching this like it was everyday occurrence, and dunked the boy into the water like he said he would, hopefully waking him up and explain himself for keeping the fact that he had a fairy all along and was keeping the information from him. With Saria and Iida catching up to him to stop from accidentally killing Izuku.

Cause while Iida was shocked of this kind of violence towards a fellow villager, Saria knew that Bakugo could go too far sometimes with his temper and hurt someone without even trying.

Just what happened to the Know-It-All-Brother's when they decided to show off their intellect to the blond haired kid really showed that kid's brutality.

She didn't even think their faces could make that big expression of pain when they were doing some kind of combat trainning, and it wasn't even suppose to be that physical.

Regardless, she needed to put a stop to him.

" Katsuki Bakugo, you put Izuku down this instant! You could be killing the poor boy and not even know it and he won't be able to explain anything to you if you drown him, now act like you have a brain cell in that idiot hot head of yours and let go of him!" She send scolding words at the blond kid, him giving her his full attention. Saria never really yells or gets that angry at anybody, plus she never really uses in anyone's full name like that cause she likes to be so carefree and playful.

But this time, she sounded legitimately angry, and Bakugo couldn't understand why. Out of all the people, why did the nerd get a fairy before him? Didn't that damn twig think he was worthy of one.

"Bakugo. Drop him." Saria growled out.

This time he let go of Izuku's head, the green haired boy quickly coming up to breath. He was gasping for the sweet forest air that was taken from him in the water.

Izuku was soaked to the bone, all of his clothes feeling like weights on his person and clung to him like a wet towel. Saria and Iida the fairy looked at him with concern for his health, but Izuku reassured them by giving them both a thumbs up, both parties calming down, however Bakugo did not share that same calming expression the other two wore.

"You, Pixie Dust, start explaining right now before I really get pissed off." He was starting to lose his temper again, but that has always been a given for blonde haired boy.

"I beg your pardon? Since when did you become part of this conversation ruffian. This matter does not concern you in the slightest, so I suggest you leave this to me and the green haired child for discussion's." The blue fairy explained to the other boy.

Saria was getting ready for an explosive reaction, but instead Bakugo was still a bit calm and collected. She saw that he was still livid, but this felt like a simmering anger.

However, she saw his body shaking, probably in anger or rage, but what really disturbed her was this grin plastered on his face.

"I don't like the look of that grin... It reminded me of the time he used a Deku Nut and one of his Bombs, without the gunpowder to make a flash bomb to blind and scare them, when he got beaten or teased in our games." She thought, cause while Bakugo was angry some of the times, he was also a little schemer. Playing pranks to get the jump on the other Kokiri children or prove that he was superior to everyone else.

So whenever Saria sees that grin plastered on his face, trouble was soon to follow.

Izuku looked at him and was worried as well, he didn't like when Kacchan usually got this way, but this is something that he doesn't really see from his friend/rival. So seeing him calm down for once does not bode well for anybody, especially when it's aimed at another person.

Bakugo only fished through his pocket while staring directly at the blue fairy, "Ahh, so your going to do this hard way aren't ya four eyes? Well, don't worry I have something special for you." He said with his grin continuing, really freaking out both Izuku and Saria. He stopped digging around his pocket, he found what he was looking for from his pocket, a clear jar with a little cap on the top. Bakugo without missing a beat took the cap off and slowly walked towards Iida, who was starting to grow frightened of the bottle the spiky blond haired kid was holding and backed up a bit.

"W-W-What are you going to do with that might I ask?" Iida asked, probably not liking the next words that came from the kid's mouth, he was probably thinking of a nasty plan.

And he'd be proven right with Bakugo's next sentence.

"Well I just got to thinking, that since your a fairy and all. With everyone of the other kids having one, I decided to get one of my own without an owner, you know? Something like a pet, so the only one I could think of at this place and time is uhhhh... YOU!" With that last word yelled out , he lunged out at Iida, the fairy in question squeaking in fear and flying away before the opening swallowed him in the glass container. He continued chasing the fairy around the pond area, constantly jumping up with the bottle in hand to catch Iida, meanwhile Saria and Izuku looked on baffled by this turn of events of there 'friend' trying to catch this fairy in a bottle.

This went for a few more minutes, before both Iida and Bakugo were getting tired, the fairy hovering low to the ground while Bakugo still had a little more energy left, closed in on Iida.

Desperate to stop this before it got out of hand, Izuku blocked the blond haired boy before he put the small creature in the bottle.

"Stop it Kacchan! Your frightening the little guy, what did he ever do to you?" Izuku putting his arms out to block the form of the winded fairy.

"Outta my way nerd... He needs to start talking... Why did he summon you to that damn twig! Why did he come to you and not me... I want some answer's and he's gonna give me them right now or ELSE!" Bakugo breathed out, pointing at the little fairy behind Izuku's back and using it for cover. Bakugo's anger rising again and not only scaring Izuku a bit, but made the fairy hide from his sight completely to make his next getaway.

Not that he's scared of this child, he just needs a tactical vantage point, and Izuku's back was the perfect place for his next set of escapes.

It was only logical y'know.

"Bakugo, Iida said that this topic doesn't concern you. The only person that he wanted to talk to was Izuku. Why can't you accept that he just needs to talk to him and leave the situation alone?" Saria said, hands on her hips and looking at him with a tired look on her face. But the blond haired kid just scoffed at the notion and continued forward. It was only the middle of the day and Bakugo has already tested her patience, she doesn't know how much she could take before she just flat out gives up on fighting him.

However part of her was kind of in agreement with Bakugo, however it was more what was going to happened with Izuku. Being summoned by their guardian is one of the highest honor of the Kokiri, and Saria wouldn't be lying to anyone if she was excited for the young boy, if almost a little jealous. Here Izuku was for years, being ousted by the majority of the people here for being different and not having a fairy. She couldn't imagine feeling this kind of loneliness if she didn't have a fairy of her own.

Now here he was, not only with a fairy partner with him. But being called by the Great Deku Tree for something important, now that was an honor in itself. Back to the conversation, Bakugo still refused to take this sitting down, he knew something was up and was still questioning the fairy.

"There's no way that this loser so happened to get a fairy partner before me! We both have been living here ever since we were babies, and your telling me this bastard got a fairy suddenly, out of thin fucking air before me, I call bullshit! Something is wrong here, especially since the twig called the Deku to him makes it even more suspicious and the only one that knows that is the glowing firefly over there." Bakugo explained, still pointing at Iida.

However Iida no longer felt nervous of Bakugo himself, but what he said was starting to pry too much into the situation, it didn't help that when he looked up at Izuku and Saria's faces, they no longer held a defensive air towards Iida, but the green haired boy had a more curious look on his face and so did Saria, this was looking bad.

He needed to keep this secret from getting out to anyone else and he didn't want to cause mass panic to the other Kokiri children, but what could he do? If he told both Bakugo and Saria they could potentially spill the beans to the other's and worry everyone, until a thought came to him that could work, but he didn't really like the idea and it could upset the guardian.

"'Sigh' Maybe a compromise is in order, if I am to keep this from the other kid's per the father's instructions, then I must tell them something." Iida thought, as he came out in between Izuku and Bakugo, going up to Bakugo's scowling face.

"Ok... Here's what I propose, I can't tell you any of this information, but I don't want you spreading these rumors to the other inhabitants of the village." Iida said.

"Get to the point fairy." Bakugo said with a deadpan voice.

"The point... You ruffian, is that I am willing for one of you to come with Izuku and I to meet the Great Deku Tree, while I will explain to the other when we return from our objective and inform them to what happened." The fairy explained.

Both Saria and Bakugo looked at each other, and then looked over towards the trees that span for yards. They wanted to both go to assist Izuku, both of them giving off an intense stare and having a mental battle on who would help the boy.

But in the end, Saria sighed in defeat and hung her head and looked at the green haired boy, "As much as I would love to help you out Izuku and give a suggestion of someone else entirely to help you out other than this kid." she thumbed towards the blond boy to make her point, the latter giving out a loud 'HEY' from being called out. "He's really the only one that has excess to a weapon currently, because while I would want to join, Bakugo has a sword and a Bomb Bag full of bombs he found in the Lost Woods for some reason. So as much as I hate to leave you hanging, I don't really have a choice in the matter Izuku." Saria said to the boy.

"Yeah, I understand... Well Kacchan, if we are going to the guardian of Kokiri Forest, then I'd want no one else having my back. Alright Kacchan, there's no time like the present, get your stuff and let's get going to the Great Deku Tree!" Izuku explained to everyone.

But Saria, Bakugo and Iida looked at him like he was crazy. Didn't he know what was beyond the tree's to the path of the Great Deku Tree?

"Um... Izuku, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but... Oh how do I explain this..." Saria rubbed her head and looked down, gaining Izuku's attention.

"Huh? What's the matter Saria?" Izuku tilted his head at her, wondering what was wrong.

"Well you see friend, when transversing through the forest towards our father. You need to be prepared to get past by certain... 'obstacles.' " Iida explained, but Izuku still didn't understand what he was getting on about.

"I'm not following, can you guys please explain." Izuku was still clueless about what he needed, was it more clothes or was this going to be a long camping trip or something?

But finally Bakugo decided to spell it out for him, ready for him to get a move on already.

"You dumbass loser! They mean you need to have a weapon or something. You know? Like a sword and shield you moron. While the twig holds out against the majority of evil creatures, do you really think it is safe to travel in the forest still? Not when there are still other monsters that thrive in the forest, think with your head nerd!" Bakugo yelled at the green haired boy.

Izuku looked a bit shocked, he had to get a weapon. Why would he ever need a sword and shield for that matter when he could still call on All For One?

"Oh you guys don't have to worry about me. I can take on that entire forest with the power of my Quirk." Izuku reassured everyone in question. But everyone just looked confused by that statement.

"Um... Izuku what is that? I have never even heard of that before in my entire life." Saria said to him, having the boy scratch his head and laugh nervously.

"Well it might not make sense to you, but I know Kacchan and Iida would know of this power, since they have seen it plenty of times in action." Izuku said to Saria, the other two looking at him with uncertainty from his statement.

"I don't know what the hell you are talking about you nerd, whatever this Quirk shit is, it sounds like some fake magic that you tried to make up." Bakugo said to Izuku with a deadpan look on his face.

"As much as I want to disagree with the ruffian, I will have to concur with Bakugo in this situation. I have never really interacted with you that much Izuku, and not once have I heard any discussion or seen this power you have with my own eyes." Iida spoke up again, both comments making Izuku confused. But it doesn't make any sense, he could understand Saria's answer of not seeing his Quirk, but Bakugo denying Quirks exist when he has one of the flashiest one's to date and Iida not seeing him in hero action at all deeply concerned him.

"Well, I guess I can show you guys again to remind you and show Saria of my Quirk so she can see them first hand." Izuku telling them all, gaining a serious aura around him and showing the other's he was serious about this.

With this tension in the air around them, they were expecting the green haired boy to prove them wrong

All he needed to do was feel the energy course through his body, control the energy like when he uses his Shoot style and release that energy. Feel All For One and control its unbelievable power. His stance widened, making sure he had enough room to power up.

But when he tried to feel the power course through him.

He felt nothing...

He tried focusing again, making sure he was he could draw on that power.

Still nothing...

Everyone in question began to look at him funny, thinking he was doing some kind of strange pose, it made everyone in question looked concerned for the kid, even Bakugo was looking on with a wierded out expression on his face on the green haired kid.

However Izuku was horrified, he couldn't feel the power at all! How did this happen? What could of caused this?

His face took on a very nervous shade of white from this turn of events, he feels like he could faint again.

"What happened to my power? I know it is here somewhere, but when I was charging up right now, I couldn't feel anything from One For All. Where did it go?" Izuku thought. He looked at the palm of his right hand. However Iida went towards the kid to break him out of his stupor by flying in front of him and chopping his arm in front of his face.

"Listen Izuku, I know you want to explain to us what has been happening to you or you want to show us your personal strength, and as much as I don't know about this hidden power of yours, for now it can wait. At this very moment you and Bakugo need to find the proper equipment to even be ready to meet the Great Deku Tree, and we must not waste anymore time with these explanation's when our father is waiting for us." Iida explained to Izuku and Bakugo.

"Right now we need you both, it could change the fate of this land, and you Izuku could be the key to saving us all." Iida continued.

At this point while Izuku was having this nervous breakdown, it was reassuring that while Iida didn't really know him or anything about him while in this alternative landscape, he still had faith in him whether or not he cared about him having One For All or any quirk.

"As much as I don't know anything about this world. I feel like I can trust Iida, I don't know anything about this version of him. Yet, while my head is telling me to be cautious of him, my heart is telling me to fully trust my friend that I know." He thought, as he calmed down. Right now, One For All isn't here for him and he could feel it, but he can't let that stop him right now.

People needed him, and that's all that matters when it comes to being a hero.

Izuku started getting his confidence back and it showed with his posture and face morphing back into a confident expression. Saria was surprised and excited to see her friend bounce back, Bakugo was surprised as well see him back in good spirits again so quickly, but showed he didn't care with his normal scowl that Izuku usually saw marred his face.

"Alright, I understand Iida. We'll play it your way for now." Taking a deep breath, Izuku continued. "I'll go gather the proper equipment, but where do I even start to find a sword and shield? I am just confused where I can find one." Izuku said, while Saria was grateful to see Izuku back in good spirits, Bakugo just looked annoyed.

"Whatever Deku, just do what you gotta do quickly. I am gonna grab my shit and you better hurry up and gather your stuff or I am going on without you and taking the fairy to meet up with the twig. I am gonna stop in front of Mido for the meeting point, you better move your ass and get a move on." Bakugo said, walking towards his house, a frown showing on his face for even mentioning Mido. The green haired Kokiri just looked at the blond walk away and stuck her tongue at him when his back was turned, she thought Bakugo could be a real jerk sometimes.

However Saria, just looked at the fairy and elf duo. She wanted to help Izuku be at his best when he saw the Great Deku Tree, and she was going to do anything to help him.

"Just ignore Bakugo, I know he'll wait up for you as long as you need. As for the items your gonna need, the shield you can just buy from the shop right over there." She pointed across the pond, where there was a big cylinder wooden building, "They also have some other items that you could purchase, but you'll probably need to get some rupees in your wallet if your gonna buy anything else in the store, last time I checked the shield is worth 40 rupees or something, so you'll definitely need to save up." Saria explained to the boy, which he took to the information like water to a sponge. He needed to understand the differences in this land, guessing that currency is definitely one of those changes.

"As for a sword..." Saria hummed in thought, putting one of her hands to her chin in a thinking pose to think of an idea, before remembering something that she was told not too long ago. "I recall that the Know-It-All Brother's had a sword that was used by the Kokiri, but they don't necessarily have the weapon. If I am remembering this correctly, they decided to hide it next to their house for safe keeping in case they have any trouble come towards them or the forest for emergencies." Saria continued, she didn't really have all the details, but that's what she overheard in one of the conversation's with those brother's.

"Wow, thank you Saria, you really saved me some time to try and gather some of these items." Izuku said to the green haired girl, she only just smiled from the praise he gave her. "Well Iida, we gotta find and get these items, then it is off to the tree." He stared towards where Saria pointed out the Know-It-All Brother's house, and began to walk.

However he stopped after stepping a couple feet away from Saria.

"Izuku, is something wrong?" Saria said to him.

"Yes friend, is something the matter once again?" Iida said, wondering if something was concerning him, maybe it was the important talk to their caretaker.

"Actually yeah, I do have a problem right now." Izuku said softly.

" What is it?" Both Iida and Saria enquired.

"Well... Before we get started on gathering stuff, there's something important I have to do." Izuku explained to the both of them, the side of his eye looking serious. Both Saria and Iida hanging off his every word.

"Izuku, please you can tell us anything. We are your friends and we want to help you in anyway we can." Saria said to the young lad. Izuku just gave a great big sigh and turned to look at both of them.

"I need a change of clothes, these one's are all wet and soggy from getting dunked in the pond. So it is ok if we go back to my house and change Iida?" Izuku said to them, breaking that serious aura with just a simple request.

The fairy fell to the ground from the simple request, yet the seriousness of said simple request and Saria just facepalmed at the situation.

"Sometimes I wonder about this boy." She thought as she just shook her head at the ridiculousness of that moment.

After saying goodbye to Saria for now, Izuku went back to his house to change into an extra pair of the same exact tunic and boots combination.

Apparently the green haired boy had countless copies of that tunic attire, he wasn't going to complain as long as he had clothing that fit him in. But Izuku had been wondering about something that's been off. There hasn't been a trace of modern technology here in the forest, no phones, TV's, or any kind of animated billboards.

"Maybe the forest is old fashioned and the Kokiri are kind of out of touch." Izuku thought, maybe he'll ask Iida or Saria about this later on, for now he needed to get a move on.

Now that he was done with that ordeal, he grabbed his Rupee wallet and exited his house with Iida following him, heading towards the fences towards the Know-It-All Brother's.

"Have you ever met these brother's before Iida?" he said to the fairy. It is strange to Izuku, he would of thought of meeting everyone in the village, considering how small the village population is.

"Ah yes, I have met the three of them before. They certainly know quite a bit about most of the equipment and items you'll most likely find in here in Kokiri Forest. You should talk to them about certain creature's or about information on items you don't know about, but be quick about it, we need to obtain that sword." Iida said to Izuku, who nodded in agreement. The green haired boy needed to know everything that he's going to fight against and what could be important on his quest.

Without further delay, they both entered the house.

"Well that was... Enlightening." Izuku said to Iida, as they headed towards the passageway that will lead to the Kokiri Sword.

The three brother's were extremely helpful, handing out books to study on certain creatures he might encounter in the forest, others were about information items you could pick up from certain enemy's, like Deku Baba plants; they have sharp teeth that they can be used to grab onto you and bite. They looked dangerous to close to, but there is an upside if you know where to strike them, some will bend and others will be stuck up straight, and the best part is they drop certain useful items when they dry up and die, like their nuts can be harvested and be thrown to create a blinding flash, and the base of their sticks can be used as either a weapon or to light on fire considering how sturdy they can be.

"I guess one way to keep my enemy's off guard is by flashing my enemy's with my Deku nuts."

...

...

...

"Wait that didn't sound right." Izuku thought, a light blush dusting his freckled cheeks from the embarrassing thought the had, that was sure immature of him, but what could he expect being in the body of a ten year old.

However there were definitely creatures that he had to watch for out there, such as Skulltulas, Mad Scrubs and Deku Scrubs, and the most deadly out of the bunch the dangerous Wolfos. The brother's gave him warning of encounter those creature's, that if they ever come in contact with them it is best to retreat from the fight, especially if they come in as pack. Wolfos have been know to kill adventurers that choose to underestimate them. In addition there were other creature's they wanted to read up on, but they were short on time.

There were also some books they actually created and written called How Not To Be A Sword Novice: Swordplay For Beginners, so when he saw that as well he took a look at that as well since he was getting the Kokiri Sword, plus the brother's gave out a few tips when it came to defensive dodging techniques and any other kind of useful information to the pair. However while the brother's said he could take the sword to use, they did not say it was his and they were letting him borrow it for now.

Also they warned him of some security measures they placed in case some kind of intruder decided to steal the sword, but they reassured the green haired boy that he could easily avoid the trap.

"This knowledge is something we are going need Izuku, I'll advise you in case you forget anything about the hostile creatures or any other obstacle that we may come across on our way towards our father, after all we are partners now." Iida told the boy. Izuku gave him a heartwarming smile and Iida giving him one in return.

"Thanks Iida, I know I can count on you to help me through this." As Izuku said this, the reached the small hole in the wall that the brother's described to them. So without further delay Izuku crawled through with Iida following right behind him.

After crawling through the claustrophobic space for a few minutes, the green haired boy came out of the other side and saw his surroundings once more. It looked like there were two pathways he could take either going straight or left. He decided to go straight first and now he had two more paths one to the right and left, so he went right this time.

And it was a dead end.

However, it was not in vain as there was a small treasure chest lying in wait, along with a sign post.

Izuku went towards the sign and read it out to himself.

"Take this area's treasure if you dare, but if you are not fast enough beware. A rocky fate will be your end, with no shield you cannot hope to defend." He said, reading the sign's warning in his mind. "Huh, I wonder what that means?" Izuku thought as he approached the chest, hesitant now to open it.

"Izuku, we need to be ready for anything ok. Just open the chest and I'll let you know if there is anything wrong with area, don't worry my friend I have your back." With that said, Izuku felt a little bit more confident and opened the chest.

But what he saw wasn't the sword that the brother's told them about, instead it was five red gems that were thin and hexagonal in shape, if he remembered correctly this is what the currency is, rupee's if he recalled from Iida.

"Huh, I wonder why they are red? Iida, do you know what this means?" Izuku asked his fairy friend. But Iida face lit up a bit, chopping his hand at a rapid pace from his form of excitement.

"It is our lucky day here my dear associate! See while I told you what the currency is and what to look for, what is so special about finding these is that certain rupee's coloring is determined on how valuable they are. For instance if you have a green rupee it is only worth 1, blue is worth 5 rupees, yellow is 10, red is 20, and purple is 50, there are other colored rupee's that are worth higher amounts, but its harder to find those anywhere." Iida explained the concept to the young child.

"Considering you found five red rupee's, you now have 100 rupee's to spend. Plenty of money to purchase the shield that Saria described to us. Plus maybe something else there that could help us along the way. " Iida continued. Izuku looked at the shiny red gems in his hands, they had this strange alluring look to them. But regardless, he took out his wallet bag and plopped the small gems into the bag and continued towards the left path.

As he continued down the longer path, he couldn't help but make certain comparisons to his world and this one in terms of the currency. Like how Yen went off on in terms of numbers to signify the value of the bill and how much you had from said number amount.

But for this world's currency, rupee's is color based for the amount that you had, which is quite fascinating to think about. Izuku wished he had one of his classic notebook's he usually made Quirk analysis with, it can be really interesting to think about the changes of this world.

However there was something that was bugging him about the money just being left there in the chest.

"Hm... Something is bothering me about just taking these from this chest, and I don't know why?" He thought, why would a random chest of money be there in the first place, he just shrugged his shoulder's in confusion, "I mean its not like someone left it for save keepings." He continued, after all it was fair that he took that money since he found it first.

Right?

However he was broken out of his thoughts as he came across the next crossroad another path going left and right. The left side had a passageway like the one he is currently on, but the right side lead to a chest much larger than the previous one on top of a tree stump, as well as another wooden sign for both Izuku and Iida to read.

"Here lies the forest's chosen Kokiri Sword, take this weapon and be powerful forevermore. Those that do not have speed with the weapon will be crushed, into fine paste or into dust." they both read out the signs message, well they found the chest for the sword, but something about that last line didn't sit well with Izuku and Iida.

But regardless the green haired boy opened the large chest and reached in to look at his prize, It had a half circular wooden pommel that was colored brown, the grip of the sword was a lighter shade of brown and looked like it had wrappings along the entire grip of the blade, the guard is wooden and curved upwards with the center piece of the guard having a red gem implanted in the middle with a golden metal outline, and the blade itself looked a bit dull at the tip of the sword, but Izuku can tell it can still slice things in half by looking at the craftmanship of the sword.

All in all it looked like a really good sword, and plus he could see a scabbard in the chest as well, but it was tied to some rope at the bottom of the chest, so Izuku decided to cut the rope that was keeping the item prisoner with his new sword, it cut through that rope like butter. He then put his new scabbard for the Kokiri's Sword on his back and put the blade away inside to keep it safe from damage.

However Iida started to hear something coming in front of them, but Izuku was a little too busy being in his own thoughts and that seemed impossible because they were at a dead end.

"Um Izuku, I hate to ask this but do you hear what I have been listening to? Because I feel like this noise is getting louder." Iida said to his friend, finally the boy was out of his thinking process and was starting to get worried and nervously started to sweat, because Iida was right. The noise was getting louder and it was coming in front of them, which didn't make sense. Now he was hearing the ground rumble, like something was coming.

So with that warning, Izuku decided to look up and his eyes widened in horror. Iida following his gaze, and what he saw scared the absolute shit out of him just like his green haired partner.

There was a giant boulder crashing through the trees, coming towards them.

There was only one thing they had to say about this situation.

"RUUUUUUUNNNN!" Both Iida and Izuku shouted, and without further delay Izuku sprinted as fast as he could towards the other direction. The boulder shot off the top of ledge and started to chase after the duo, gaining on the both of them at a rapid pace.

"WHY IS THERE A BOULDER COMING TOWARDS US!" Izuku screamed out as the he could hear the loud rumbling of the giant sphere of rock, gaining on him and his fairy partner. He had to keep up the running, otherwise he'd be flattened like a pancake.

"I'M NOT SURE WHY, BUT MY SUGGESTION IS THAT THIS IS THE TRAP THE KNOW-IT- ALL BROTHER'S SET UP FOR ANY INTRUDERS!" Iida yelled out, as that was the only way to tell the green haired boy because of how loud the boulder was.

Both were running or flying as fast as they could down the path to get away, but they were starting to get tired and if they both looked back to see where the boulder was they could potentially slow down and get flattened. They needed to avoid this thing now before they run out of steam and this gets to them.

Then, as if the goddesses heard their prayers, there was a left side passageway for them to go towards. But while Iida could make that by flying in that direction, Izuku couldn't that sharp of a turn in time as they can see the shadow of the giant rock, if he tried to he may be too slow and he'd get turned into red paste when the boulder hits the dead end and crushes him into the wall.

So at the last minute, the green haired boy did a last minute diving forward roll towards the left, avoiding the boulder and hearing a loud crash raddle behind him. Seeing the giant rock smash into the wall, sending large gravel pieces shooting out like a shotgun spread.

Izuku just continued to lay on the grassy floor panting, his heart and body felt like it just went on a three hour marathon, both his legs and lungs burned. It felt like he and Iida were out running that boulder for hours.

"Ok... 'huff' what... 'huff' the hell was that boulder doing there" Izuku said, breathing heavily for much needed oxygen. He felt exhausted and by the looks of his fairy companion as he was floating closer to his face level, he could tell the blue haired fairy was just as winded as he was.

"I think... 'gasp' that was the trap we were looking to dismantle." Iida said to his green haired friend. But Izuku didn't accept that answer, nor was he looking for one. He knew that was the trap now, but if there was two words to describe what that was at that very moment, he could only sum it up like this.

Fucking. Insane.

He thought the trap was gonna be like an alarm system or like a tripwire net trap that capture's people, he never in a million years thought someone would literally put a fucking boulder to chase and crush or splatter someone to death.

"When in the hell did I become part of an Indiana Jones movie." Izuku thought as he finally got his breath and wits about him, before getting back up on his feet and dusted himself off, with Iida following him towards the direction he was walking.

He continued down the path to reach back to where he started, since the rock debris blocked the path back with the destroyed rock in the way, so with nowhere else to go and obtaining the sword he decided to leave this deathtrap before any other frightening traps are sprung. Crawling back to the training area, Izuku was deep in thought about something, it wasn't anything to do with this world. He was concerned about what is happening to his actual home.

Where is his mother? Was she somewhere in this world? What about All Might or Class 1-A, are they in this world too? or are Kacchan and Iida the only ones here stuck in this world with him?

There were too many question's to be answered and not enough time, he apparently had to go on this quest first.

"Guess I'll play along for now. Its strange really, this whole concept and world that I have been noticing so far kinda feels like I am in some kind of video game or something." Izuku thought, he couldn't wrap his head around this situation right now, it all felt so weird. The boy looked at the ground and saw a bunch of bushes in front of in the gated area.

He decided he wanted to test something, so he was going to cut this grass, and if he was right in a sense, then this grass should produce an item he could use later on if this whole video game theory was proven true.

"Well... Now that we have sword in our grasp, its time to get a Shield so you can protect yourself. So let's make our way towards the shop shall we. " Iida said to him, but he noticed his friend wasn't paying attention to him, Izuku was in a deep stare at the grass bushes in front of him. He suddenly pulled out his sword and decided to cut the bush in front of him. What popped up were these small seeds that looked a little too tiny to be a Deku Nut, but easy enough to count as an item.

The boy picked up the 5 seeds from the ground previously, and continued to cut the grass surrounding him. In the end of the cutting he obtained 10 more seeds, making a total of 15 seeds in his pocket.

"Huh, so these Seeds are items I can use, I wonder if their purpose will be something useful to me now or later on? That's strange because I have the distinct feeling they could be useful to me with distracting enemy's, no they aren't big enough to do that, maybe ammo for some kind of bow or something, a slingshot maybe? I'll have to test this out later on if I can get my hands on something..." Izuku just muttered out loudly. Weirding out Iida in the process and some of the Kokiri as well when they were passing them by.

"Um... Izuku, are you with me here young sir?" Iida said floating next to him, which broke the boy out of his muttering.

"Huh? Oh! I'm so sorry! I was just planning what I am going to do with these seeds and I just couldn't think of a way to use them properly." Izuku said to his friend, the fairy put his hands to his chin to think of something, but he just wasn't thinking of an item right now that he could use.

"Maybe if we head to the shop and used the money we obtained, we could use the leftover money to find a good item that would be helpful in our quest." Iida suggested to the boy, and honestly he liked the idea. But he didn't want to spend all of his money on just a few items. Plus he couldn't really get the feeling that he was stealing from someone if he used the rupee's like that.

Buuuuuut... He did almost get crushed to death because of the brother's trap, and if he was a betting man this is there money they left in that chest for safe keepings.

...

He's just gonna collect on a debt called life insurance and call it even, so without further delay he went toward the shop to spend their money.

I mean it is fair to be compensated for almost death, right?

The first thing Izuku saw when he went into the shop, was how giant the shelfs were, full of strange stuff taking up space on the wooden beams. He knew that browsing this store would be a slight pain because of how interesting everything looked in this wooden shop.

He saw tons of jars that had colors of red's, yellow's, green's, and a rare blue color that interested him, but it looked a bit too expensive to buy for right now. Other items Izuku noticed were these red nut looking objects that was worth 15 rupee's for a set of 5, the seeds that he picked up from the grass were also there in a small carrying bag that looked very tempting to get, but he didn't have anything to launch the things at.

He also saw that there were bundle's of arrows on the left side of the store, each bundle more expensive the more arrow's were added on. Its really a shame, if he actually has a bow he'd definitely purchase those bundles of arrows, he'd feel like it would help a ton against some of the enemies that he may run across in the forest, but he decided to save his money for now.

Izuku finally found the what he was looking for. The shield he saw was made entirely of wood, it looked sturdy for something that was only made of tree's. It also had a strange symbol of what looked like a tree limb or something akin to a tree.

"Huh, strangely appropriate for what the shield is made of." He thought, he was assuming it was made of the Deku tree's that were part of this land. The Kokiri have always looked up to the Great Deku Tree, they treat him as their father and with this shield it could almost feel like part of him is with the children of the forest, always protecting them from any harm like any father should.

It was quite... poetic.

But Izuku knew he had to get a move on and meet Kacchan at the point of entry, so without further delay he went towards the counter he was able barely look over, and decided to talk to the employee.

Or... he would if he saw anyone there.

"Hello, I'd like to purchase something from the store." Izuku said, maybe waiting for someone to come from the back and take his purchase.

"Welcome, have you found what you wanna buy kid." He heard the counter say, but he didn't really see anyone.

"Uhhhhhhh..."

"Down here boy." A young voice said.

But then he saw the person who was talking jump up, surprising him a bit. After the initial shock, he composed himself and had to get on his tips of his feet to look over the counter fully to see the small Kokiri behind the counter.

"Oh sorry I didn't notice you... I just didn't think you were... 'ahem' anyways ,I'd like to purchase that shield for 40 rupee's." He said, trying to not sound offensive by calling the guy short or anything that could insult him. Without saying anything else he handed him 2 red rupee's from his wallet and put it on the counter.

"Ah, didn't know we had a big spender here in Kokiri. So Izuku, you going to battle here aren't yah? I see you have the famous Kokiri Sword with you as well." The shop keeper said as he went towards the shelf and jumped up to grab the Deku Shield and placed it out on the counter. "Well, whatever trials you have to face, just know I am here to help you out by selling the equipment you might need out there kiddo." The Kokiri chuckled out.

It was strange to see this Kokiri call him kid, considering that he was a child himself, but regardless he took the shield and inspected the wood. He knocked on product to make sure it was legit. It felt like the wood was extremely durable, plus it was light to hold so it definitely would be handy in one hand for defense while his sword would be in the other for attacks. Plus it was a bit wide so he could cover the majority of his body.

"Well I guess we have the shield now, pretty neat huh Iida?" He asked his fairy companion, but he was actually ignoring him for right now and talking to another fairy, which made the boy just sweat drop from being just ignored like that from his new friend.

However before leaving the shop, he wanted to keep looking for something else he could use. But they were wasting daylight and needed to get the Great Deku Tree as soon as possible.

Suddenly, he saw something on a pedestal in the back, below the shelfs.

He was able to see it out of the corner of his eye, it looked like a wooden Y shaped object with red tips, some kind of string in between with a patch of cloth in the middle.

"Hey shopkeeper, what's that on the pedestal over there, is that for sale?" Izuku spoke up, going back to the counter to get a better look at it.

"Ah, you saw that didn't you?" He looked back at the item with a slight grin on his face, "Well, its funny that you mentioned it. Because I was having trouble selling this item because no one could make any use out of it. This is a Slingshot my boy, I was going to try and sell it at a reduced cost cause nobody wanted the blasted thing, but since you want it I'll give you it for 30 Rupee's and 10 Rupee's for the Bullet Bag for a package deal." The Kokiri child smiled as Izuku perked up from the deal he made him.

This was the perfect opportunity to get an item that could help out in his quest, "I'll take the slingshot with the bullet bag!" Izuku yelled enthusiastically as he slapped down two more red rupee's to get the items. Iida looked back at him after the outburst and went to his side to see his purchase.

"A very strange purchase here Izuku, I would never imagine you would acquire a slingshot, considering it is usually wielded by children." Iida responded, it wasn't a bad buy per say, but he felt like the young boy could of spent it on something more important, probably like the Deku Nuts or the sturdy Deku Sticks.

"Well I guess that's perfect considering I am buying this from a child then." Izuku said as he traded the money with the weapon and the Bullet Bag that was already full of 15 seeds right from the get go. However the shopkeeper didn't forget what the kid said, so he decided to put in his two cents.

"Hahaha, well good luck lad. I hope you excel in your quest." He said to Izuku, making the green haired boy smile.

"Thank you so much sir, I won't forget what you did for us today." Izuku said bowing his head, while Iida did the same gesture to show his respect.

"No problem my lad... Also before you leave, I actually have to tell you something." He said to the boy.

"Yes sir, what is it?" Izuku replied.

"You do know that I am 56 years old right?"

...

...

...

"Oh." The green haired boy thought.

And he called him a child.

Now he just seems like an asshole.

Well... This was awkward. He started to nervously sweat from the situation and he really needed to break the tension of this mistake from being put on the spot.

" I'm... just gonna leave now." Izuku said as he bolted out of the door, to save face of being rude, his fairy companion following along right out the door. He heard some chuckling from the shop keep before he fully left out of the door.

"Well that was strange." Izuku said to himself, as he headed towards the location that Kacchan said, it wasn't really that far from the store, just having to go around a smaller pond area and next towards a passageway, filled with vines hanging around, leading deeper into the forest grounds. But he didn't see his blond haired rival at the meeting point. Izuku asked his fairy companion to go find him so they can get to meeting the tree, so with some slight reluctance of retrieving what of what he calls 'the blond ruffian', he set off to find Bakugo and to meet back at the rondevu point they set.

However before he felt like he was in the clear, Izuku sees a Kokiri blocking the entrance to the deep woods, he hasn't seen him before and he saw him with a scowl on said person, he didn't feel like this was going to be a favorable encounter, that was for sure.

"Halt! You are not allowed to see the Great Deku Tree..." The golden haired Kokiri said, he had blue eyes and put his hand out to stop Izuku, but then his face started to take on a teasing smug look when he saw the familiar green haired boy. "Ohhhhhh look who it is, Mr. No Fairy. So what do you want you loser? Trying to grace our guardian with all of your failure of not being a true Kokiri." Mido said to Izuku. That amount of taunting reminded the boy of when he was bullied by Kacchan, it brought back bad memories of his past when he was Quirkless, and now a similar situation was being thrown at him once again.

"Ummm... Well I was summoned to by The Great Deku to... meet him for something." The boy responded, with his head looking down at the ground. Already expecting what's to come from this kind of person.

"WHAT! He asked you for a task?" The Kokiri got in Izuku's face, growling in what looks to be a mixture of anger and jealousy, "Why did he ask you? The brat with no fairy and not a true Kokiri. When he can have a true son, such as myself, the Great Mido, with a fairy and that looks out for the entire village." He poked at him constantly, if Izuku remembered from Saria's words this was Mido, the person that has been bullying him for years in this land.

"I'm not sure Mido, but I have permission to go to him, and I also have to take someone with me. So just please let me pass." Izuku just rubbed his arm nervously about being question by this guy, he seemed like a real jerk in Kokiri Forest, and he just wants to get going.

But Mido wasn't buying his explanation, "Hmmph, I think your lying, there's no way your telling me the truth. Admit it Izuku, you can't fool me, a reject like you with no fairy of your own couldn't be called upon by our father. I think your just trying to get sympathy points with Saria." Mido crossed his arms and stood firm to be a road block to the green haired boy. Izuku was starting to get frustrated from the constant impeded progress that he has been facing right now, and this one is starting to work on his nerves.

"Look I don't have anymore time for this Mido, I need to see him. Now." Izuku raised his voice towards the golden blond, but now Mido was starting to get angry himself at the back talk from Mr. No Fairy.

"Well until I see your fairy, you aren't going anywhere! If the Great Deku Tree deemed you so important to see, then you would have a fairy guiding you along into these woods, and as I can plainly see you don't have one!" Mido yelled out at him again and got in his face again, "So until I see your fairy, I won't allow you, a boy who has been without a fairy for 10 years mind you, to see the guardian unless it shows, which I doubt considering your such a fre-" Mido was about to finish saying, until he saw another person run up to their location along with a blue light coming next to Izuku. The green haired boy looked back at Kacchan to see a small backpack of stuff on his back.

He also saw he had a hilt on his back as well, however he noticed he didn't have a shield on him. But before he could inquire from the ashy blond, Iida was doing his usual chopping motion with his face being a little bit panicked.

"I'm so sorry that took so long Izuku, I tried to hurry as fast as I could to find the ruffian and get him to us with him ready as fast as I could." Iida said with a bit a shame, but Izuku just reassure him by just putting his hands up, calming the fairy but not the other individual.

"Shut your damn mouth Pixie Dust!" Bakugo yelled out at the small blue fairy.

Now Mido was shocked to this fairy interact with Izuku, his jaw was open and trying to let words out, but none would flow from his mouth to explain what happened.

"There, here's my fairy Mido and the other person that I said I was taking with me. Now let us pass." Izuku said more firmly to the Kokiri guard.

But Mido was just too surprised to move out of the way, which in a way just upset Izuku and the green haired boy looked back at Kacchan and saw him grind his teeth bit, outright pissed off at the shrimp blocking both their progress.

But it was Kacchan, anger was his kind of his default emotion.

"Whaaaaat! No way! How the name of Din did you get one? You and Bakugo are the only ones that didn't have a fairy and now you have one all of a sudden?!" Mido was still in a firm denial. But he just tried to compose himself, sure he had a fairy companion now, but he still can pull some loophole's to stop them from seeing the guardian.

"Hmmph you heard the Deku you loser. Now let us pass, I'm already in a bad mood and I don't need your lame ass making it worse!" Bakugo said to Mido, he remembered that Bakugo didn't really like this particular Kokiri either.

"Heh... Even if you have this fairy guide, I can't let you go into the forest until you have a sword and shield, so until I see that on your person you can't go, SO HA!" Mido said without even looking Izuku over. But the young green haired boy took out both from behind his back. His face having a slightly smug smile plastered on his face.

"Well Mido... I know this will upset you, but I do have both items that you need to see." Izuku said, making the Kokiri take a double-take on what he had, his eyes almost comically wide from what he saw on the boy.

"What's that? You have the Deku Shield!" He saw the wooden shield strapped to his right arm, and the next sight shocked him even more. "and what's THAT?! You have the Kokiri sword too?! HOW DO YOU HAVE THESE ITEMS! GOOD GRIEF!" Mido yelled out, he just couldn't believe this. It couldn't be happening, he was suppose to be the chosen one here, not this faker, how in the name of the ancestor's did this no fairy having kid, have all of these well known items?

He just couldn't allow this, he said his smug smile now a bit forced.

"Well.. I'm not gonna let you two through, a wimp is still a wimp and you don't know the proper way to-" He was only able to get out before getting hit in the back of the head hard with a Deku Stick. Mido's body hit the floor with a thud courtesy of Kacchan, knocking him out with swirls in his eyes. Both Iida and Izuku looked at the ashy blond in horror at what he did.

"Finally, thought he'd never shut his mouth." Bakugo said.

"Kacchan?! What's wrong with you! You didn't need to hurt him!" Izuku yelled at his friend, in all honesty, while Mido's attitude was definitely mean spirited towards the both of them, the blond didn't need to knock him out.

"Put a cork in it you damn nerd! The loser was just gonna talk his way in circle's about how we can't go on towards the twig, and he was annoying me to the point of agonizing tears." While Izuku was glad that Mido wasn't talking anymore, he still thought it was overkill.

"That still doesn't justify assaulting the poor boy you ruffian! You could permanently gave him some kind of cranial damage from that strike." Iida said, his hand chopped towards Bakugo in a accusing manner.

"Ah don't worry about him, the loser needed some sense knocked into him. Plus we needed to get by this asshole anyways. Think of this as our first trial, and guess what? I passed with flying colors, while you two idiots would been standing there wasting time." Bakugo explained.

"Huh while Kacchan is wrong with knocking him out in anyway possible. Mido was in our way, 'sigh' I am so confused in all of this." Izuku thought as he

"So if you're done crying over spilled milk, you and the firefly better move your ass along before this idiot wakes back up." Bakugo stated, as he was done talking and decided to walk along the path towards the guardian, "You two moron's coming or not?." He replied, not really caring that they said anything back, moving along.

"It is our best option to go now. While I'm against Kacchan's way of doing things, they sure are effective in certain instances." Izuku thought, as he moved by Mido, but not before he set the Kokiri's body to the side to make sure he doesn't get trampled on.

"Come on Iida, let's get a move on before Kacchan gets too far ahead. We need you to lead us to the tree anyways." The green haired boy said to the fairy. Said fairy was surprised that the young boy is going along with this crazy idea. However Izuku didn't say anymore and went to follow the fading form of Bakugo, while Iida was just exhausted already with this ordeal. With a heavy sigh, Iida followed the jogging Izuku, both of them trying to catch up to to the crazy blond taking the lead to find the Great Deku Tree.

And with that, the next chapter is done. Sorry it took a little too long to make this chapter, I am a bit of a slow writer cause I want to try and see if the ideas I input is a good idea and it just takes a while for me, so if you guys want to be patient that would be cool.

So yeah, I mixed it up a bit when it came to putting an item in some place. Case and point Izuku gaining the Slingshot at a shop compared to another item. I didn't want to completely follow the game when it came to dialogue and items either, so I changed that up and went with a different path there as well. You know trying to add a spin to it for some comedic value and maybe make another items chance to shine.

Plus I have a good idea for an item when they get to the old tree instead of the old Slingshot, just bare with me and I'll try to do better with speeding up making chapters.

Also I'm sorry that this chapter didn't really have a ton of action, but I don't want to just rush through everything and I wanted to give more of a story element, that's the breaks when I am trying to make a story like this.

Next up we got some action coming up in where Izuku and Bakugo come across their first taste of danger in the form of their first enemy's and Dungeon.

So with that I'll be off, like I said last chapter if you have any questions or suggestions you want to tell me, I'm up to people sending me PM's or if you wanna just like or review go ahead. So with that, I'll bid you adieu. This is Irongiant9000 signing out.

Next Chapter: Getting To The Root Of The Problem
