AN: So... I know this hasn't been updated since January of 2017. I apparently thought I had lost this chapter years ago. I had written the chapter apparently sometime in 2017. I did wind up finding it while cleaning out my old laptop and I am just going to post it, as it is. Which will include everything in that doc. Notes and all... Felt like it was a crime to just let it sit there for nobody to see.

I do not foresee me writing more of this fic anytime in the near future. But it could happen. I really haven't been too into the Percy Jackson series of late. I'm fine with the reading bit, but I feel I lost the spark for writing it. I've been more into writing for the Harry Potter fandom.

Cheers,

~NicoDiAngeloLover7

AN: Reason I am not bringing in Mordred at this moment, because it feels too soon. I want a few things to happen in that particular episode but a few more things needs to happen before I get there. The same thing for the Excalibur episode, I want something different to happen to make it the twist I am aiming for. So I'm going straight into the second season of Merlin.

I decided not to put in any action since I just need a few crucial parts of the episode. Hope you enjoy it.

Episode - (Season 2) Once and Future Queen

Nico has managed to keep the bruise a secret even though he had a feeling that Hazel and Hestia were becoming suspicious. Plus, Percy didn't help with everything going on, more like he was avoiding him for some reason. Though Nico never put any blame on the prince of Camelot even though he felt he should have. He simply reasoned with himself that the prince simply didn't know his own strength and that it wasn't like he intentionally meant to hurt him. It probably didn't help that the bruise now had turned into a sickly yellow and so to make sure it wasn't seem Nico had done an illusion spell so if you looked, the skin appeared in perfect condition. Though the spell would eventually wear off so it was hoping against the odds that it wouldn't fade during the day. So as the days passed it had really started to get on Nico's nerves that Percy was still avoiding him. He didn't care what the prince thought; Nico was going to figure out why exactly Percy was ignoring him. Percy never batted an eye when he bruised up his knights or him for that matter in training. So, what really was the difference now?

Percy was in middle of doing some paperwork as one of the duties of the Crown Prince when his door to his chambers flew open and slammed harshly against the wall. Percy just looked up before he saw the enraged look on his servant's face with a scowl engraved on his lips. It didn't take a genius to figure out that he somehow pissed off his servant.

"What gave you the impression that you could just ignore me and leave me to find out that you hired another servant instead of just telling me like you usually do!?" Nico almost shouted.

Nico swore to himself he almost saw Percy look embarrassed or something close to it before the emotions were masked again.

Then as if nothing had happened in the past, Percy said, "You will help me train later today with the knights for the tournament."

Not even bothering with a response Nico stormed out the room and slammed the door behind him, he didn't care what the prince thought, but if so then why did his response get him so riled up? But he refused to acknowledge that he may have a growing attraction for the royal of Camelot. Wanting to blow off some steam he headed to the training grounds where he set up some dummies earlier that morning, since he had a feeling that Percy's attitude was going to infuriate him. Too bad he wasn't allowed to use his magic like back in Algarthia, but unlike his real home, magic in Camelot was punishable by death. He had no wish to die anytime soon because he wanted an outlet, so he used his sword instead.

"Bad day I'm assuming,"

Nico looked up since he was now leaning on his sword from shredding the dummies, "You have no idea, Hazel."

"With someone like Perseus, I can imagine. Though I don't approve of how he speaks to you, I see his reasoning," Hazel smiled.

"How so?" Nico raised an eyebrow.

"Don't play dumb with me; I saw Percy's reaction when I kissed your forehead after telling you thank you for all you did for me. I know jealousy when I see it. Just like I saw you being jealous when the Camelot prince was being enchanted by that Sophie girl."

"Whatever, you don't know me at all," Nico denied.

"You're not denying that you like him, this may not be Algarthia. But I don't see a reason why he just hides behind his prince facade," Hazel pointed out.

"I'm not having this discussion with you Hazel; I have to meet up with Percy and train with him and his knights."

"Okay, Nico. But I want to know about that bruise you have on your forearm later."

That particular phrase caught Nico's attention, "How-"

"I can sense when you have magic radiating that part of your arm and I see through the magic, so it's not all that hard to figure out. I just want to know why and how you got it, bye Nico."

"I can't believe you're actually doing this," Nico mumbled.

Percy glared at his servant, "It's not like you ever had a moment where you're always reminded that you're the next future King, and you had a normal life. Piper already agreed to let us stay at her house and for once I'd like to be just an ordinary knight."

"I don't think ordinary is in your category. All you think about it yourself and never pausing to think about others. And you wonder why people think you're so arrogant and stuck-up. And don't you dare judge me when you don't know everything about me! You may have known me for a year, but that doesn't count for anything. You may be a royal prince, but maybe if you start acting like a prince should, people may respect you more," Nico hissed.

Percy chose not to say anything and surprised Nico when he kept quiet. He had almost expected to get a retort from Percy. In truth Percy was thinking over Nico words, truth be told there wasn't really a day that Nico didn't insult him. Though he would never admit it to anybody, he liked having Nico around as his servant. It was different that he was told off for how he acted when everyone else just sucked up to him for being the Prince. He knew that Nico's words were emitted with anger and he didn't really blame him for being angry. Though he still felt guilty for what he did for his arm, so he ignored him which didn't work overall too well. Since it just backfired on him.

"Let me see your arm," Percy commanded.

Nico's anger evaporated, "What!?"

"Show me your arm and you know which arm I'm talking about."

Muttering a few words under his breath to cancel the spell did Nico roll up the sleeve and show his arm. It showed a sickly yellow color in a somewhat shape of a hand-print which made Percy even more guilty. "I won't say this more than once, but I'm sorry Nico. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Nico blinked his eyes repetitively not truly believing his ears. He knew that Percy felt extremely guilty but he didn't expect Percy to apologize. He almost felt a smile forming before saying, "It's not all that bad, and it's almost healed. But you're forgiven; I never held you responsible since I knew you didn't mean it. You looked so shocked and maybe a little fearful what you did."

Percy rubbed the back of his neck, "Thank you. So, you and Hazel are really brother and sister?"

Nico chuckled, "Should have figured you ask me that. Actually, Hazel is my half-sister. Though you should get ready for the tournament."

Nico almost swore that Percy's eyes glowed at that, making them even more of a green than blue; it was a little stunning on how well the shades of his irises mixed together. He was surprised at his thinking, trying to shake the thought away.

Nico didn't know what to think when he had come back with a few clothes for Percy to wear so he stayed under disguise and witnessed Percy kissing Piper. He felt like something was twisting painfully tight in the bottom of his stomach and he hated the feeling. He felt betrayed even though he didn't know why. So why did he care that Percy and Piper kissed? Even though the kiss lasted a second or two, Nico's fingernails dug into his palms till it drew blood. Immediately stopping the pressure since he didn't realize what he was doing till he saw the blood. His mind felt like it was in a mess strung around with chaos. So he just placed the clothes where they'd be in sight and left like a shadow in the night. So he didn't catch the words exchanged between Percy and Piper.

"Piper, I realize you might like me. But you know that's not true, I've seen the looks you've given Jason. You're like a sister to me like Annabeth is," Percy pulled away as soon as Piper pecked his lips.

"You like Nico," she said. It wasn't a guess; it was a fact and statement. "I think at first I liked you, but now I realize it was more a sibling bond. Though I think I hurt Nico by kissing you. Even though it wasn't even for a second."

Percy fought between actually admitting that he liked Nico more than just a friend, but to say that out loud. His father would be furious for falling for a servant but he kind of had. "I do. I saw him when you caught me off guard. He looked so hurt, now I realize why he was so upset when I found out that you kissed him when you found that he was still alive."

Piper sheepishly smiled, "I didn't' mean to kiss him, he was my friend and I was relieved because Hestia and I thought he died and didn't get to administer the cure in time. Though you need to actually tell Nico, the happiest I seen him was when you were actually not acting like a prat and hanging out with Hazel."

Ignoring the prat comment did Percy ask confused, "He wasn't happy around Hestia?"

"He had his moments I guess, but I remember overhearing him and Hazel talking, and he claimed that he doesn't feel like he belongs here," Piper admitted.

Nico was in his room in Hestia's lab while his aunt was doing errands and Hazel and Frank were spending time together. He should have guessed those two were together, they're interactions spoke that as clear as day. But Nico wasn't focusing on his sister at the moment. Clenching at his hair tightly so that maybe the pain from trying to pull out his hair would erase what he'd seen between Percy and Annabeth's servant. Piper liked Jason; he knew that, so why were the prince of Camelot and her kissing? For once Nico actually thought about how he liked to hang around and work for the Prince, when he wasn't being a prat that is. Even then it was always fun to tell him off to see that irritated look in his brilliant sea-green eyes. Though at first it annoyed him at the fact that he started noticing his eyes, it was easier at the time to just ignore the black-haired prince. "Looks like that's not an option now," Nico muttered. Naturally the prince of Algarthia was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice Percy walk into his room.

"Nico."

Releasing the grip that he had on his hair in surprise, just to see the person he just ran away from. "What do you want," Nico grumbled.

"Will you look at me first so I can properly talk to you?" Percy asked annoyed.

The first thing Nico noticed was Percy's annoyed look upon his features, his eyes had darkened to a forest green so that the blue just outlined the outside of the green. Not as catching as his normal sea-green, but enough to be entranced by it. Percy was still in the disguised outfit from that morning and his black hair was sprouting in all directions, like he'd run all the way from Piper's house to here. "What is it that you want Percy?"

"You seem to be under the impression that I like Piper," Percy said bluntly.

Nico rolled his eyes and said mockingly, "Really? Now what gave you that idea?"

"If you can so call remember, that she also kissed you on your death bed," Percy retorted.

Nico was actually at a loss for speech, "W-wait, what!? But unlike me, you weren't on your deathbed."

"I kind of was in a way; I was stabbed in the tournament if you can't remember?"

For once Nico actually looked embarrassed, "Plus you already knew she likes Jason and he probably feels the same for her." Percy continued.

"Why are you telling me all of this, usually you're acting like a prat and not caring about anything," Nico asked confused.

Percy rubbed his neck, "I'm not a jerk all the time."

Nico smirked, "So the famous Perseus Jackson can actually admit something."

"Shut up, I'm actually trying to be serious for once. You already know I'm not the best at admitting things."

Nico pretended to think for a moment, "Which is pretty much about everything that doesn't concern your ego. I was impressed that you didn't claim that victory for yourself the other day."

Percy smiled at Nico as he brushed his fingertips over Nico's shoulder, "I'll see you in a few days after Hestia looks at my wound."

Nico didn't say anything as he started to blush before Percy had left his room while his shoulder tingled. Slowly blinking his eyes and wondering what just happened?

Episode - Lancelot and Guinevere

Percy was pacing around his room while muttering to himself, "Nico should've been back by now. Something's gone wrong." The prince probably would've worn a hole in the floor if one of the Knights of Camelot didn't come by.

"Jason, what are you doing here?" Percy questioned.

"Lady Annabeth just returned back from Camelot."

"And... I know there's something else, I can tell from your look. What happened?" Percy asked.

"It's Piper and Nico," Jason said hesitantly.

That took Percy's immediate attention, "What happened and where are they?"

"Lady Annabeth said she was ambushed and they had taken her, Nico, and Piper prisoner. She managed to escape, though Nico and Piper are still with them."

Percy's face hardened as he listened to his head knight, "We need to speak with Father. Follow me, you knew Nico best."

Percy and Jason went straight to the Court room since he knew it would be empty and the King and Annabeth would be there.

"Father, I wish to a rescue mission for my and Lady Annabeth's servant," Percy requested.

"The answer is no, the life of two servants can always be replaced," Poseidon waved them off.

"Sire, if I may," Jason interrupted.

Poseidon motioned him in a 'go ahead' fashion.

"Where as I was a former knight of Algarthia. Nico, the servant of your son. Is a dear friend of our Prince in Algarthia and King Hades has always valued the boy's opinion in the past. He's also a dear friend of Hazel, who is a member of the royal family in Algarthia. Who still resides here in Camelot, but I do not wish to anger my former King or Lady Hazel and I'd like to add my personal request to save them," Jason said while looking straight at the king.

Poseidon thought for moment, "I've been friends with King Hades for many years, I consider him a dear friend. I remember Prince Niccolo quite well and I do not need to hear Lady Hazel's voice. Your word is of a knight which I will honour. I will approve you to go. Though I didn't realize my son's servant used to live in Algarthia, you both may go."

Percy and Jason took that as their cue to leave though they caught the grateful look Annabeth expressed on her features. Heading back to Prince Perseus' chambers to gather a few supplies before leaving.

"I honestly didn't picture my father actually letting us go. Though I appreciate you bringing up Lady Hazel and Prince Niccolo. I'm honored to have you as one of Camelot's knights." Percy admitted.

"I knew Nico for years; I'm not just going to let him die. And I wish for Piper's safety. I would never let anyone remain in that man's grasp, I failed them once and that won't happen again," Jason declared.

Percy clasped a hand on his knight's shoulder, "You won't fail again, and I can promise you that. We best leave; I don't want any second be to waste."

"So are you going to tell Nico you like him?" Jason asked out of the blue as they rested by the creek.

Percy who was drinking from the clean stream, spitted out the water in shock of the question. Once he composed himself, he started to speak. "What's the point of even telling him? I already know what my father's reaction will be of me courting a servant. Then I'll just be hurting Nico more than I already have, it'll never work. Even if we hide it, there's always the chance of us being discovered. And the fact that my father won't like its servant, but he'll be even more outraged that he's boy. Maybe if Nico was actually royal or even a prince, then Father wouldn't care. He'd probably plan a betrothal and marriage, not like he hasn't before."

"What if it actually does work out in the end? You're probably just hurting him more by not saying anything, I know Nico and a little how he thinks. Which he tends to overreact about something so simple. I know the King of Camelot won't approve, I'm positive you can at least hide it. That or Nico will probably knock some sense into you. Even if I was a prince, I would still court Piper. She means that much to me, think a little about that and we'll continue in the morning," Jason smiled.

Percy thought about Jason's words and remembered the way Nico had blushed, that had to mean something, right? Figuring he could ponder on it later, since the main objective here was to rescue Nico and Piper and alive at that.

Nico and Piper were dragged into what looked to be some kind of Throne room. Where a man looked to be one of those fat kings you hear about in stories sitting in a chair.

"I've brought Nico and Lady Annabeth's maid, though Lady Annabeth managed to escape. It was better than nothing," Kendrick informed.

"It would have been better if you'd brought Lady Annabeth, but I can imagine that young Prince Perseus will rescue you. Especially this boy," Hengist motioned to Nico.

"You know nothing," Nico snarled.

"You are not only the Prince's servant, though there have been countless rumors that you're his lover as well. I can imagine that I will get the money I came for," Hengist said.

"I'm nothing of the sort!" Nico snapped.

"We'll see about that, but for now I'll wait to hear from King Poseidon to see if he'll pay for you two's freedom. See if you're worth keeping alive," Hengist said before he left.

"Great leave it to King Poseidon, we're as good as dead," Nico muttered.

"Even if the King won't help, since in his eyes we're just servants. You know Percy will do something," Piper said.

"I know and that's what worries me," Nico sighed. "Though I can imagine that Jason will be there as well, since he was there when we were ambushed."

Piper's face tinted pink. "So I was right, Jason was courting you." Nico smiled.

"I'm not even going to respond to that. Unless you want to count all the times Percy made you blush," Piper responded.

"Don't even go there," Nico hissed.

The two went quiet when they heard footsteps coming towards them and to where they would eventually be leading to their room.

Nico wasn't truly sure how many days it was to get where he was now. They were no longer in the castle kept captive while forced to watch tournaments and the loser being devoured. The man responsible was dead, killed by trying to kill them, death by irony. So now here he was sitting in the woods while Percy and Jason were keeping a fire lit and Piper sitting next to him as he watched the two keep the fire going. Honestly Nico didn't know if he was going to die, magic could only help you so far. And he would never use it to kill someone, even if they were trying to kill him. What shocked him even more was after they got away from the castle, Percy had asked him if he was injured and caressed his cheek. If he didn't know that Percy liked him then, he sure did now. Though he wasn't sure what to do with the information that he'd gained. He already knew that King Poseidon wouldn't approve unless his secret of being Prince Niccolo was let out. So as far as the King of Camelot knew, he was just some servant that probably didn't amount to anything but his skill with a sword. But only Percy, the Knights, Jason, and Hazel knew about his skill, Nico never bothered to try to hide that he could fight. Nico could almost hear his father's expression when he found out that he was starting to fall for the Prince of Camelot who was now courting him. He would never hear the end of it from his father. The young prince decided to ponder it later when he felt someone sit beside him and looking up to see it was Percy.

"You okay, you looked lost in your thoughts?" Percy asked.

"Who are you and what have you done with Perseus Jackson?" Nico teased.

Percy smiled, "Well once I find out that you're about to be killed once again, kind of changes your perspective. That and Jason kind of knocked some sense into me."

"I'll need to thank him later," Nico smirked.

"Get some sleep Nico, we'll need it on the way back," Percy batted Nico's back before getting up.

Thankfully it didn't take too long for the four of them to reach Camelot again. Nico decided to go straight to Hestia's lab and see Hazel. Though Nico wasn't expecting a letter, it had immediately erased the thought of talking to Hazel when he realized it was from his father. Gently opening the letter did Nico read the contents.

"Son,

Sometime soon I will be visiting Camelot and your head knight, Jason has informed me about Poseidon's heir. I am pleased to find you have found someone, I expect to be informed of this boy. I will speak to Poseidon myself as well. I expect you are doing well, keep me informed."

-Your Father"

Nico stared at the letter in shock, Jason told him about Percy. This was going to be a conversation he was not going to look forward to. What he didn't know was that King Hades had already sent a letter out to King Poseidon who was reading it now.

"Poseidon,

It's been too long old friend. I must admit it is nice to keep in touch with old friends. But I wish to enact a proposal to you. We talked about this years ago when my son, Niccolo was not yet of age. And I still wish to go forward with your ideas. You have informed that your son, Perseus doesn't seem to like any of the marriage arrangements. I had recently sent my daughter, Hazel out to visit a dear friend in your kingdom and also to approve my decision of setting a betrothal between Prince Niccolo and Prince Perseus. I have received her approval and all we need is yours, I await your letter and I am due to visit Camelot soon.

~Lord Hades of Algarthia"

King Poseidon was reading over the letter sent by the King from Algarthia. He remembered when he had suggested it years ago, though at the time he had doubted it would come to pass. Poseidon knew that Lord Hades didn't take things like these lightly, so that meant that Lord Niccolo had already given his approval to send in the request to him. He knew that Percy wouldn't be pleased about him making this decision and so he started to write the letter back to Hades that signaled his approval of the arranged marriage.
