Night had fallen over the city of Musutafu. Hawks stood before his floor to the ceiling office window. Sharp golden eyes watched the stars as they twinkled against the darkened sky. His ash-blonde hair was windswept and messy from his daily patrol. He'd returned to the agency just moments ago. Hawks stretched his arms up above his head. His vibrant wings fanned out with the motion. Sighing, he turned to his desk. The only thing he had left was to read over the case file that his intern handed over this morning. Tokoyami had explained that it was from the Police Force with instructions that Hawks was the only one to read it. He hadn't even had his coffee and already had to deal with another assignment. Hawks was never one to turn down a case. Not when the Commission could very well make him lose his title as a Pro Hero. With a groan, he plopped down in his leather chair and lazily opened the folder. His eyes scanned over the first page, taking in the information from the case.

'Takahiko Seijou and Akemi found dead within their home. Both shot once in the head, execution-style. Their daughter Amira hadn't been found and is considered missing.'

Hawks' eyes widened as he let the information set in. It was a cold case from eight-teen years ago. He'd been told about it during his time training to be an agent. The Commission had wanted the children they were training to be knowledgeable of cold cases that had to do with powerful quirks. Hawks turned to the next page and looked over the pictures from the crime scene. Each one was even more gruesome than the next. The entire house was in chaos as if someone had been searching for something. A shrill ring echoed throughout his office, making him jump. His wings flared up from the shock. Hawks quickly answered the phone.

"Pro Hero Hawks agency, this is Hawks." He chimed, hoping that his cheerfulness didn't give way to having been scared.

"I wasn't sure if you'd still been in the office." The gruff voice of the Chief of police remarked from the other end. Hawks placed his left hand over his racing heart as he tried to settle down.

"I assume you're reading the case file I had sent over."

"Just started looking at it."

"Why send me a cold case file from eight-teen years ago?" He inquired, leaning back in his chair.

"Recently, there have been a string of murders. Six victims were found dead in their homes." the Chief explained to him.

"I take it that you think the murders are connected?" Hawks mused, taking in this conversation like he had the file in his hands.

"The victims' brains had all been turned to mush." His chair clattered to the carpeted floor from the force he'd used to stand so abruptly.

"What?" Hawks knew of only one Quirk that could do that much damage. The Commission had drilled it into him as a trainee. It was the reason the Takahiko family was well known. Their daughter had an insane Quirk that wasn't even possible. Seijou and his wife were both Quirkless. Amira should've been as well. The Commission had been frantic to find her when she'd gone missing. Hawks had been too young to grasp how dangerous she was.

"Does the Commission know about this?" He questioned the Chief.

"They're the ones who told me to hand the case over to you." He replied, letting out a tired sigh.

"Having this evidence changes everything, Hawks."

"Takahiko Amira is alive and using her Quirk to kill people." Hawks pointed out, hands clenching into fists at his side. The vermilion feathers attached to his wings ruffled up.

"There is a possibility that she didn't want to. Many villains would use her Quirk to wreak havoc." The Chief was right. Until Hawks knew more, he should assume she was doing this unwillingly. His job would be easier if she'd had a last known sighting. No one had seen her in years. Not even the Commission knew where she was. With a quick goodbye, Hawks hung up the phone and turned to his window once more.

"Where have you been all these years?" He whispered to the sky.
