Keith was starting to second guess his plan B, Lance hasn't spoken or fought with him since the earlier heated discussion. He'd only grunted as he's forced to follow along.
Lance may not be talking, but Keith could definitely feel the icy daggers glaring at him from behind.
Finally, after several more minutes, Lance spoke "Where are you taking me, Mullet?"
"To the Blue lion," answered Keith "You're the only one that can fly her."
"None of what you said before is real. You have lost your mind!" Screams Lance "I've been kidnapped by a crazy person!"
Keith exerts more strength on the rope "I'm not crazy and I didn't lie to you."
"Uh, you said you did right before you tied me up," dead panned Lance, gesturing to his tied arms "Way too tightly I might add, I think I'm starting to lose feeling in my arms, feeling, Keith!"
"It's called catching you off guard, and I know how to tie a proper knot. It's snug, you can't get out but it also won't cut off your circulation." states Keith
"Oh, that makes me feel so much better," mocks Lance "And what you did is called lying. Just because I didn't fall for your lame plan you decided on forcing me to anyways!"
"There's no plan, Lance," speaks Keith "I asked you for help and you said yes."
"True," agrees Lance with a nod "But, then I changed my mind and tried to leave. Tried, being the key word there considering I'm tied up and being taken to who knows where!"
"Shut up before I gag you!" Threatens Keith, the cave finally coming into view
"Didn't you already plan to?" Retorts Lance "You brought the rope along, why not add some duct tape or whatever else to complete this thing?"
"If you had just heard me out I wouldn't have had to use it in the first place!" Berates Keith, the pair now inside the cave.
"You didn't have to use it at all!" Yelled Lance, legs catching on a few scattered rocks "Just, let me go, Keith and I promise not to tell anyone."
"Not happening,"
Lance grits his teeth "Damn it, Keith! You can't just kidnap me, stow me away in some cave in the middle of nowhere and expect to get away with it!"
Keith turns to stare at Lance, both knowing full well that if he intended to do any of that, he'd already succeeded.
"I heard it," sighs Lance in defeat "Fine, lock me away. But, just know, my ghost self will never leave you alone and I'm talking some serious haunting."
Keith rolls his eyes, comment on the tip of his tongue before the shielded Blue lion is before them. Lance stares in awe, mouth agape as he gazed upon the machinery "What the cheese is that?"
Upon seeing the sparkle in blue eyes, Keith snickered.
"Lance, meet your lion, Blue. Blue, this idiot here is the one you've been waiting for."
"Hey! I'm not an idiot, mullet!"
Keith's forehead vein drums "Stop calling me that and leave my hair alone, idiot."
"Stop calling me names and maybe I'll do the same!"
The raven male grunts, arm pulling on the rope, launching Lance face first into the Blue lions shield "Get to bonding already,"
"Oww!" Lance grunts in frustration, brunette preparing to whirl around and hopefully sock the mullet right in his stupid face.
In fact, that had been his whole master plan, that is until he found himself face to face with the mysterious and very real Blue lion.
"Uh, hi there ... Blue," eyes roaming up the robot "I'm Lance," The teen gasps as emotions suddenly rush into his mind and body.
Happiness, grateful, welcoming, acceptance
Lance smiles, he wasn't sure how, but this lion had spoken to him. "Dude, do you feel this?"
Keith keeps a sharp eye outside, the boy doesn't even turn "Only you can feel her, Lance. She's your lion, now hurry up. We're about to get some company from an approaching airship."
"Pushy, much?" Lance rolls his eyes, but returns his full attention to the being before him "Thank you for the positive emotions, I'm glad to meet you too, Blue."
The teen laughs before resting his head on the barrier surrounding the lion. The boy not at all expecting the cave to be suddenly engulfed in bright blue light as the shield fell and a platform opened from the lions mouth. "Holy crow!"
Keith tugs the mesmerized Lance aboard, depositing him in the drivers seat "We're out of time, they're here. Fly Blue and get us out, now."
Lance's eyes widen "What? I don't know how to fly her!"
"You're a pilot!" Berated Keith anxiously as a ship crashes to the ground, a ship he'd recognize anywhere "Figure it out!"
"Even if I could just figure it out, I'm a little tied up in case you forgot!" Lance expressly pulling on the bindings "Which is really starting to freaking hurt!"
In one swift move, Keith's knife is out and slicing through the cords "There, you're free, now get to piloting!"
"It's about time," mumbled Lance, teen rubbing his aching and red wrists
"Fly. Her. Now!"
"Stop ordering me around!" Yelled Lance angrily "Would it kill you to say, please or even be nice for once? Treat others how you want to be treated, that's what my Mama taught me."
"We don't have time-"
"Then make time!" Declares Lance, teen now standing "You kidnapped, tied me up and dragged me here. You need me, Keith, for whatever reason to pilot Blue, so would it kill you to treat me like an actual human being? To say please and maybe even thank me for not kicking your ass the moment you untied me? Is that too much to ask of you?"
Keith's retort gets lost on his tongue "I'm sorry! There you heard it now fly!"
Lance glares "That's not a real apology!"
"Well too bad cause that's all you're going to get!"
"Uh, everything okay here?" Speaks a male voice from the mouth of the cave.
"Looks like we're interrupting some serious bromance," states another unknown voice
Keith whirls around to see Hunk and Pidge "What are you guys doing here?!"
"Dude, first rule of kidnapping," Lance smirks while pulling his now dead cellphone from his jacket "Make sure your hostage can't call for help."
Keith's eyes widen in realization "You fell on purpose so you could get close enough to me to grab your phone!"
Lance smiles "Sure did, this little kidnapping is over."
Keith's astonishment quickly transformed in anger "You idiot! Anyone could track you straight to the blue lion!"
"Are you doubting my tech skills?" Declares an enraged Pidge "I'll have you know-"
The glasses wearing genius is stopped dead as a large object crashes hard in the vast desert, kicking up a huge storm of sand and rock "Holy fuck!"
"Pidge, Hunk get in, now!" Orders Lance worriedly
"I'm not so sure about this!" Screams a now running for his life Hunk
"Well, I sure as fuck am!"
The lions cockpit doors close seconds before the storm hit.
"We can't stay here or we'll be buried alive!" States Keith
"I'm working on it!" Declares Lance, hands on the main controls, eyes closed in concentration "Okay you can do this, you can fly this thing no problem,"
Lance senses a soft rumbling pur
My Paladin
"Holy crow," Blue eyes fly open "What the cheese was that?"
Blues interior lights turn on, lion preparing to fly
Do not worry my Paladin. I will lead you to your teammate and we all shall be safe.
"Okay," Lance couldn't explain it but "I trust you, Blue." Something about this just felt right "Guys, hang on air Lance is open for business!"
And it's finished! Sorry it's taken me so long, life has been pretty hard lately and this new phone update makes my notes move at a snails pace and it's really annoying. Sorry there's no Shiro, but I couldn't take the lagging any longer. Till next time!
