~Second Thoughts Plus a New Friend~
The clock struck three-thirty and everyone in the classroom stood up and left leaving Deidara all alone. He didn't move from his spot as he stared at the ceramic wheel. He wasn't focused on the clay slab piece he had to work on but instead, he was staring at his phone with an annoyed look.
He was overthinking things, Itachi, Yuki, and his new friend Verena. He was confused emotionally over everything that was starting to happen; from Yuki and Itachi's conversation to his budding relationship with Verena to his feelings towards her to his emotion towards Yuki.
He knew Itachi was texting Yuki, he wasn't shy to show off when Deidara was around. He had set her own text tone when she would message him and smirk when it went off... He hated every second of it. He wanted to know what they were talking about. How close they were getting When he asked Yuki she would brush it off and mention it was nothing important while eyeing his phone as it buzzed from another text.
Still, there was excitement building in him a chance to hang out with Yuki. He texted Verena one last explaining quickly that he had a date and would text her after.
He placed his phone down and continued thinking about everything. He and Yuki were dating still, but it was starting to feel dry. The kisses weren't carrying that spark the conversations were slowly dying and getting harder to continue and they weren't often left staring at one another.
There was also the issue that Yuki was a virgin and wanted to keep it that way. His first discovery of this news was after a wonderful date he spent with her in her apartment, she made dinner they spoke got a little tipsy, and spent the rest of the night making out on her couch. Only when he got time to grope her did she move away and told him she wasn't ready.
He had to think back with Itachi as well. Yuki was getting attached to him and Itachi her. The night with the Akatsuki meeting he had been stuck at the bar with Verena and Yuki was held, hostage. It was obvious the flaws in the hostage situation everyone had their eyes on the man table they didn't notice the blond and the waitress slip away.
Deidara was supposed to defuse the bomb but it was difficult, he knew it wouldn't be fun if he diffused and with Verena egging him on he managed to work it so he could have a small explosion. He got lectured after that mostly from Itachi who was more pissed off than anyone as he was covered in cuts and bruises.
They glared at one another for a long time not saying a thing. The blond was furious with the Uchiha for being the one that protected Yuki and healed up her wounds. He was getting a bit too touchy with her and then there was that look he and Verena shared.
He groaned, "Why are things so confusing," he said staring at the ceiling he balanced the chair on the back two legs.
"What are you so confused about?" a soft voice questioned placing a hand over his eyes, "Guess who?"
Deidara chuckled placing his hands lightly on the said person's hand, "You are really playing that stupid game Yuki," he chuckled.
Yuki only giggled softly and took a seat next to Deidara, "I thought it was a fun idea," she watched as he continued balancing on the chair, "you are going to hurt yourself,"
"Not if you catch yourself," he bragged and put his chair back down to stared back at her, "so what is the plan for the date?" he questioned.
Yuki frowned, "You invited me and had not planned a date," she glanced around the empty classroom trying to hide her frustration. Why did she always have to plan the dates? From a trip to the Zoo to a simple picnic at the park, she had to think of something, "I could watch you make something?" she finally suggested.
She bit back her frustration. It would be pointless to complain and start a fight on a good day. Besides they were in an art room she always had been curious what Deidara was like when he creating art. He always bragged about making masterpieces and shown them off but she never saw him create anything.
Deidara looked around the room as well, "I don't see why not," he shrugged not wanting to really drive anywhere himself. "I was thinking about making a sculpture myself,"
"Another bird?" she questioned she had a fondness for Deidara's infamous clay birds they were in a shape what Yuki was guessed could be an eagle but it was structured like a hybrid.
"Nope," Deidara said, "a spider?" he was expecting Yuki to make a face of disgust but instead she smiled gently.
"I would like to see that," she said kissing his cheek. Deidara nodded and pulled out some clay pieces and began molding it.
Yuki watched silently before she began making something herself. She tried making a weasel. Deidara helped with the ears and tail but soon continued with his own project. Once Yuki was done with her weasel it looked more like a dead snake with ears.
Deidara was teasing her as he was putting finishing touches on his spider, "We just need to put in the kiln. I am sure Itachi would like it when you are done," he looked at the soft look she was giving the weasel, the same look she gave when she mentioned Itachi's name, "Ironically, you created a weasel," he pointed out when he saw Yuki's shocked face, "Stupid Itachi,"
Yuki stared at him her mouth was gaping. His was temperamental, one minute he was teasing her and laughing with her the next he was pissed off for some strange reason, "Why are you mentioning the Uchiha?" she growled.
"It is nothing," he mumbled staring at the spider. He was getting pissed at something stupid she didn't like him. The weasel wasn't for Itachi, right? He was jumping to a conclusion. He glanced at the spider he was creating. Was he being hypocritical?
"Then don't mention him," she glanced at the weasel smashed it ticked off. They were fighting more often now, over silly things. Did she choke back some tears? She had to save the relationship somehow. She threw a wet, mushy clay piece at him. Deidara blinked confused before he started throwing clay pieces at her.
