Chapter 45

***Monday***

(Elena makes a secret phone call. She holds the phone to her ear and waits for the person on the other line to pick up. It was time to put her plan into action. She smirks that it will come together soon)

(As the weeks went by, Elliot and Kate spent more time together. Christian and Ana did, as well. It truly felt like they were in heaven bliss. Each couple went on more dates. Elliot and Christian separately suggested that they go on double dates. The women loved that. As time went by, Elliot showed Kate more about the game of bowling. They practiced more and she got better at it. She was very proud of herself and Elliot was right there to cheer her on)

(After spending more time together, Kate is finally ready to tell Elliot everything about her past. She warned him that it was a long one. He told her he had all the time in the world. They were at his place, which was a two-bedroom apartment. It was an average size and wasn't super big)

(The couple sat down on his couch and she was prepared to tell him everything. As she told him the details, he nods his head. She kind of felt she was rehashing everything. However, it needed to come out. After she finished, he sighs deeply and leans back a bit before he spoke)

Elliot: "Now, I know why you were so scared before about opening up. That is definitely a whopper of a secret to keep for as long as you and Anastasia did."

(Kate chuckles dryly and raises her eyebrows as she spoke)

Kate: "You're telling me. I haven't spoken to my mom since before the whole incident." (sighs sadly) "I truly felt she'd turn on me. She did before when she believed my stepfather over me."

Elliot: (scoffs) "No offense, but your mom is pretty messed up to do that."

Kate: (nods) "That she was. After she took his side, I stopped talking to her. Haven't seen her since."

(Elliot takes her hands in his, softly kisses them, and faces his girl)

Elliot: "I'm here for you. Whatever you need. If you ever need to vent about it or if you prefer to leave it in the past. Whatever you decide."

Kate: (nods) "Thank you, sweetie."

Elliot: (chuckles nervously) "I actually have a confession to make. I don't know if it's too soon to say this, but…"

Kate: (nods) "Go on. I'm listening."

Elliot: (sighs deeply) "I love you. I'm falling for you, Kavanagh."

(She tilts her head and smiles at her man)

Kate: "How long have you felt like this?"

Elliot: "A little while now. I wasn't sure how you felt. I'm hoping that I didn't speak too soon."

(She shakes her head and chuckles before talking)

Kate: "No, you didn't. As a matter of fact, I've fallen in love with you, too, Grey."

Elliot: (eyes light up) "Really? So, it's not just me?"

Kate: (giggles) "No, it's not just you. I love you."

Elliot: (smiles) "I love you, too, babe."

(Elliot pulls his girl into a passionate kiss. Their hands wrap around the other. They briefly break free and look at one another)

Elliot: "Your watermelon lip gloss is very tasty."

Kate: (smirks) "I'll make sure to wear it more often."

(They lean forward again to feel the others warmth. Ohhh, they could do this for hours. Their mouths open just enough for the tips of their tongues to collide with each other. Kate whimpers as she couldn't get enough of Elliot's scent. Little did she know that Elliot felt the exact same way)

***Christian's Condo***

(While visiting with her beau, Ana asks to speak to Gail. Christian wants to make sure that everything is okay. Ana assures him it is. Christian calls for his housekeeper, who is in the other room. When Gail arrives, she looks at her boss with a smile)

Gail: "Yes, Mr. Grey? What can I do for you?"

(Christian points at Ana while speaking)

Christian: "Anastasia wants a word with you."

(Gail looks between her boss and Ana)

Gail: "Oh?"

(Ana smiles as she brings Gail to the living room and they sit down on the spacious couch with Christian sitting on the chair across from the two women. He smiles as Ana gives Gail her full attention)

Ana: (smiles sweetly) "I wanted to thank you, Gail."

Gail: (confused) "Thank me? For what?"

Ana: "For standing up and protecting my relationship with Christian against Elena. I know that you didn't have to, but I really appreciate it. I should have done this a long time ago."

Gail: (shakes her head) "Oh, you're fine, Miss Steele."

Ana: "Ana, please."

Gail: "Ana, Elena doesn't deserve Christian, in my opinion. You treat Mr. Grey a lot better than Elena ever did. You are more than welcome. I'm so glad that you two found each other and that you are together. You look so in love and so happy."

(Ana and Christian look at each other and smile as Ana speaks)

Ana: "We are, Gail. We will forever be grateful to you."

(Gail and Ana embrace as Gail says 'anytime'. The two women talk a bit more before Gail finishes her job duties. Christian sits next to his girl and they talk)

Christian: "You did a really good thing just now, baby."

Ana: "You mean with Gail?" (shrugs) "It was the truth." (smiles) "I wanted her to know I appreciated her help."

Christian: (nods) "She does. I appreciate it, too."

(Ana kisses her boyfriend before telling him she needs to talk to Kate about something)

Christian: (pouts) "You're leaving?"

Ana: (laughs) "I'll be back another time, babe. I couldn't forget you if I tried."

Christian: (softly growls) "You'll be the death of me yet, Steele."

(As Ana's heading to the door, she chuckles)

Ana: "I love you, too, babe."

(After Ana shuts the door behind her. Christian decides to pass the time by catching up on some paperwork in his office)

***Ana & Kate's Apt***

Kate: (smirks) "So, how's lover boy?"

Ana: (playfully rolls her eyes) "Fine. How's your lover boy?"

Kate: (shrugs) "Don't know. We've exchanged a few kisses. We haven't made love yet."

Ana: "I thought for sure you two would have before Christian and I did."

Kate: "In the past, I would have, yes. But, that was years ago. I'd like to believe I've grown up and matured since then."

(Ana chuckles as she embraces her bestie)

Ana: "You have, Kate."

Kate: "I've gone out on about a dozen dates with Elliot these past few weeks. Does it sound weird that I told him I'm in love with him?"

Ana: (perplexed) "Why would it be weird? Girl, only YOU know how you feel about him." (smiles a bit) "For what it's worth, I think you do love him and that he loves you, too. You dance around the apartment and sing songs as if you're in the shower." (giggles) "By the way, you're not the best singer, Kavanagh. Then again, neither am I."

Kate: (narrows her eyes) "Bitch."

Ana: (tilts her head) "Skank."

(Both ladies stare at each other before they burst out laughing. Ana sits back down on the couch where Kate is)

Ana: (hopeful tone) "Can you keep a secret?"

Kate: (nods) "You know I can. Spill."

Ana: (smiles a bit) "I think I'm ready for my first time with Christian."

Kate: (serious tone) "He hasn't pressured you in any way, has he?" (points at Ana) "I swear I'll kill him if he has."

Ana: (wide-eyed) "Whoa, calm down, Kavanagh." (shakes her head) "No, he hasn't pressured me into sleeping with him. He's not like Jose."

Kate: (nods) "I know that. I was just making sure. I wanted to hear it from you." (sighs softly) "I just want you to be safe, girl."

Ana: (smiles) "Don't worry, I will be. I'm sure he has condoms. To be honest, I've been on the pill for the past couple of weeks. I had a feeling my relationship with Christian was heading that way. I love him and I want him to be my first. I know he loves me, too." (chuckles a bit) "To be honest, I've been wanting him for awhile now. I've just been waiting for the perfect time."

Kate: (nods & smiles) "It sounds like you are preparing yourself for it. I'm happy for you."

Ana: (sincere smile) "Thank you, girl. I know it'll be the best night ever."
