"She hardly does anything now you know."
Arc and Warwick were sitting in the Phoenix Squad room. Warwick was sitting uncomfortably beside Arc who seemed to be staring him down. Arc had just spoken and the words sunk into Warwick. "What do you mean?"
Arc scoffed and looked at Warwick with disbelief. "What do I mean? She doesn't do anything. She's not her normal self anymore, she hardly even tries to participate when we're training."
"It's not my fault," Warwick mumbled.
It didn't seem like his fault. She told him she liked him. Warwick did what he did best, got nervous and excused himself. They hadn't talked since then. Five days ago. They avoided each other and slowly Warwick was feeling guilty.
"It is your fault! You walked away and haven't talked to her since. She loves you, man." Arc shook his head.
"I didn't know how to respond!" Warwick defended himself. "What would you do if your best friend said that she loves you?"
Arc raised an eyebrow with a small chuckle, "For one I'm your best friend." Arc went serious as he continued, "And two, you should have responded."
"I was nervous, Arc!" Warwick cried out, "I don't know what to do."
Warwick buried his head in his hands as Arc patted his back, trying to comfort him. "Talk to her. At least work things out. Figure out your feelings for each other."
That was just the thing. Warwick didn't know his feelings. He had had a crush on her before, why was it so hard to figure out his feelings now?
"Oh, you're here."
Warwick looked up to see a girl standing at the steps. Her blonde hair was hanging off her shoulders beautifully and her eyes- Where was he going? He shook his head to clear his thoughts.
Arc looked between the two and stood up, "I'm going to go..."
"Talk to him." Warwick heard Arc whisper into the girl's ear.
"I don't wa-" She was cut short as Arc brushed past her.
An uncomfortable silence was drawn over the pair as they looked to each other. Warwick had no idea on what to say. The silence lengthened into a minute before the blonde-haired girl spoke, "I'm going to go."
She was about to turn around to walk away but Warwick stood up quickly, "Wait!"
The girl stopped and looked to him hopeful of something to happen. Warwick cringed inside as he realised he now had to talk to her about her feelings. About his.
Warwick sighed, sat down and patted the space on the couch beside him, "We need to talk about this."
The girl nodded quietly before she walked over to him. Another silence dawned over them as they sat next to each other.
The girl spoke first, "Warwick, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I made everything uncomfortable between us."
"You don't need to be sorry." Warwick averted his eyes to the ground before they were drawn back to her face. "I need to apologise. I shouldn't have walked away when you told me. I ruined our friendship when I left you. I was confused. No one has really liked me like that before. I'm sorry."
Warwick took a moment to think. The days they hadn't talked his mind was filled with her. Her blonde hair. Her blue eyes. Her kind personality. Just her overall.
"I just wanted to let you know that I really do love you." The blonde girl admitted.
"I love you too!" Warwick blurted out.
The pair stared in shock at what he just said. Warwick saw a soft smile form on the girls face. The smile contagiously spread to Warwick. His mind was filled with him wondering why he had just admitted that. He didn't feel that way, did he?
"Really?" Came the soft question from the girl.
Warwick's heart sped up as he answered, "Really."
He knew exactly how he felt now. And as the pair melted into a kiss and pulled apart, he rested his forehead on hers and murmured, "I love you, Prudy."
Woah! I updated? Crazy right. I know this is small but at least it's something. I was reading a fanfiction when this idea came to me and I needed to write it. My mind is exploding into awws. I actually don't think there are many Warwick and Prudy fanfictions like this. So there ya go.
See ya in 100 years when I update! :)
