Chapter 9

Mother figure's coven was coming along nicely. I was greatly impressed by her abilities to use what is available to her, not to mention how well she has taken to alien technology.

"Is there something you want to make Boros?" She asked of me.

I have considered making a few items of my own, the books I have been reading are utterly fascinating to say the least. "Mother figure, you are aware my ambition is to go back into space, correct?"

She nodded her head to me. "I know, you don't belong on this world, and you were meant to explore… I just hope that you are going to explore for better reasons and not for the sake of a fight."

I smiled to her. There will be some battles, I know for certain, however, I will not battle for the sake of it. I will do so in order to help people in need. That I promised her. "I wish to repair the damage done by the original. Whatever I can do to fix what he did, or at least try to find a way…"

She nodded. "How?" she asked. "Do you have help? Will you have a crew?"

I never thought that far in advance. I know I will return to the galaxy as a hero rather than a conqurer. But I also know I cannot do this alone. "Perhaps a droid will be helpful then…"

"You know where the lab is," she said with a grin. "I trust you are going to make something to benefit not just you, but those around you,"

My eyes lit up as I thanked her deeply for the chance. I went to the lab, however I paused.

What do I make?

I thought it over, trying to decide how this droid should work. In my pace, I paused to an odd plastic covering. Picking it up from the table I stared at the image oddly. "Huh? Is this a movie?" yet looking it over, I realized it was a video game! There was an odd looking female on the front of it. She wore a revealing bunny outfit however she appeared strong. "Huh, perhaps this will be a good test start."

So I got to work.

Mother figure had many materials for me to use, and also ingredients for making other things for this droid. One would be fake flesh, but I wish for this to be as realistic as possible.

I have studied human anatomy well, the female form is rather delicate and also risky for someone to be working on. But this would be a good challenge to my own skills.

I spent days on it, the droid came together rather easily for me the moment I found out the path to completing it and making it real. The droid appeared almost real, Mother figure had entered the room when she froze to seeing it on the table.

"Boros…" she said in a warning tone.

"It's my first droid mother figure, what do you think?"

She took a closer look, but her eyes widened in amazement to it. "I thought it was a body!" she protested. "This… this is a droid?"

My chest puffed out proudly as I explained the picture inspired me. She looked to it and smirked. "I was suppose to give this back to King when we were done…"

"You are just in time, I am going to activate her for the first time, are you ready?"

She nodded as I booted up the droid.

It took a moment to download everything, yet, once it did. Her eyes opened up. She looked about the room oddly before sitting up from the table. She turned to me and then to Mother figure. "Wow," were the first words spoken.

"Wow… you just said wow?" Mother figure asked.

"Uh… yeah," she replied. "I mean, what else can you say when you see the world for the first time… wow!" she said again.

"Boros…" Mother figure whispered.

"I may have gone over on the personality. I was inspired from various TV shows with strong female women."

I had recorded many TV shows to watch in order to observe Earth life. Not realizing I could use those to help with the personality aspect of the droid.

"So… what do I do?" the droid asked as her feet kicked about rather playfully over the table.

"Well, I wish to have you as a crew member for when I go into space. Let's see how well you can fight." I announced. I was certain I programed that into her, yet the android paused to my suggestion.

"Space, fight? Wait, I don't know how to fight," she said rather bluntly.

"I programed you with that knowledge!" I protested.

She got off the table and shrugged. "Okay then…"

The android came at me hard and fast within the fabrications room. Mother figure was shouting for us to stop at once. "NOT IN HERE!" she protested.

She stopped herself, and yet I began to see the flaws. Many times over she came close to striking Mother figure who was merely observing. She has no aspect of space or the fact she has to watch out for other people.

"It's okay, we will stop, besides. I think this failed unfortunately." I said with a sigh.

The android froze. "Failed? I failed… oh…" she appeared worried.

"I may have to scrap this one…" I whispered to mother figure.

"Wait, please!"

"Boros, just because there are flaws doesn't mean you throw it away!"

I listened to Mother figure as she went over the android. She cannot retain battle tactics, she cannot understand the jeopardy people can be placed in if they are in the way of battle. There is no concept of looking out for other people, sadly, with the way I made her. She will never retain it. There aren't enough parts nor the technology to boost such a notion.

"Then what do I do?" I asked.

She went deep into thought. "First off, did you name her?"

"Not yet,"

"Give her a name, and I think I got the solution…" she said and held up the video came casing.

I was introduced to King.

Supposedly the strongest man on this world, when in reality it wasn't the case, I did sense a strange thing about him though. The man has remarkable luck. When he first encountered me, his heart raced in his chest. So much so you could hear it echo down the hall.

Mother figure explained the situation, and, after a test, I found her idea to be valid. The Droid is named Bun-Bun Bomb. And her new partner/pilot, is the hero named King.

The two were a perfect match.
