Chapter 11

A short time passed.

Thanks to one Amai Mask, he managed to get elder Melee and her brothers together. In fact, I was informed they would be coming for dinner the next night. This surprised me greatly. "They could recall you?" I asked of elder Melee.

She nodded but, she also appeared hesitant. "I don't know if they really believe I am their sister yet." She said, "so tomorrow. I need to make a meal that will prove to them that I am their sister."

I was amazed, are people of this world able to prove their identity through food?

Curious.

I merely watched from afar as elder Melee planned for the meal the next day. She would go out shopping early in the morning, only to return with basic stables; beef, udon noodles, cabbage and various sauces.

"Perhaps we ought to leave mom alone for the day," called Pac. "Hey Boros, wanna spar?"

Oh. I have yet to face the children of Garou head on, besides Luna. I smiled and accepted without hesitation.

I would spar not only with Pac, but Hunter as well. The younger brothers called for me to face them afterwards. However, when I get caught up in battle. I tend to lose track of time!

However, these brothers are something. Their strength steadily grows the more I put out my own power. As elder Garou said, their bodies adjust to the stain placed upon them.

They could take a strike, they endured my onslaught and even struck me down a few times! But I was also going easy on them, I never tapped into phase 2 yet. But also, I was seeing how strong they really were.

"IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!" I shouted in excitement.

I increased my power, I then barraged them with strikes and blows forcing them into the ground rather forcefully. They were battered yet unharmed for the most part. "Ow…" muttered Hunter. "You were holding back still!?" he demanded.

I smiled with pride to that. But that was also when I took notice. Two strangers approached the pit along with elder Garou and the serpent Snek.

However, I was blindsided as the brother caught their second wind! Yet ending the battle was simple enough, they did get stronger, but not as strong as me.

Then the family took notice.

I grew curious however kept my distance. These… Brawlers as they were called stood rather tall, even taller than elder Garou and a few inches taller than Goliath and Draven. Despite being human too, I could sense power radiating off them.

"DINNER TIME!" Elder Melee called.

I could smell it in the air, a sweet and yet savory sauce, with simmered cabbage and meat. I wondered though if this was the meal she made for her brothers to remember her?

The looks on their faces.

The Brawler brothers took a moment as the savored the first mouthful of food. It appeared blissful, yet at the same time, they almost appeared to be on the brink of tears as they ate. "Oh man… dad's favorite… just as I remember it…" said the one named Street Brawler.

His brother Knuckle nodded as they consumed the food rather quickly. Then again, everyone at this table did!

They took in very scrap offered, and the appearance of bliss followed on their faces. But they wanted to know more. What happened to elder Melee that made her this way. How she met elder Garou and how the children came about.

Mother figure impressed me greatly that day when she announced she could show them. Revealing her four arms she was able to get elder Melee's brothers to sit in front of her, and her own mother to sit near by. With a hand on each head, she transferred memories into their minds as to what happened. One needs to be a powerful telepath to do such a thing. I am certain one of my former generals could achieve such results. As they sat there and took in the history of events, I began to think to myself, they would make the perfect blueprint for robots!

I had worked on one a while ago with mother figure's assistance. It was inspired from a video game I saw at a store, a strong, powerful looking woman was kicking a monster in the face. So for that, I used it as a template and created a robot known as Bun-Bun Bomb.

When I revealed it to mother figure, she was stunned. "Are you sure that's a robot? It looks… real!" she said with great amazement.

"I found your notes on Genos, as well as other books and suggestions on making cyborgs. I used the information with the knowledge I had in the past from the original. Apparently life like robots were nothing out of the ordinary." I explained.

I wanted this creation to be a hero and used to fight monsters. I didn't anticipate on a great flaws in the design. One, she has personality, second, she cannot retain battle information, techniques or think on the fly if something goes wrong. I even tested it myself and found Bun was useless. "Perhaps I need to scrap her…"

The look of devastation came over Bun the moment I said such words. But mother figure quickly intervened. "No, I don't think so. All you need is a pilot!"

I never considered the notion. When mother figure was first setting up her new Association, she introduced me to a hero named King. Granted, I didn't quite understand the reasoning for this, yet when I was shown his skills in controlling Bun-Bun, I understood. He was the perfect pilot!

Since then, I sought to improve myself. And became inspired by the Brawlers in my next step in creating robots.

With their permission, I made a scanner that would take in the measurement of their bodies, height and even notions as to what to place into these robots. When the scan was done, I went to the table and began to dissect the images, already creating parts in my mind to built the better android. I couldn't wait to get started!

In the old lab I found, I got to work right away on the Brawler robots. Within the ship we had a metal that was quite rare, it is even more so on earth. They dubbed it 'black chrome' for a strange reason, but I have come to like the name of it. I had enough for two robots, and I intended on using this metal to make them rather formidable!

I kept to the basic design of a human, with my scan I am able to break apart the layers that make a human being what it is, so naturally, I started with the skeleton.

Inputting the directions in the computer, I started a small furnace that was powerful enough to render down black chrome. The fires on earth are not hot enough to alter the metal the least bit, yet the one I had in the old medical ward of the dark matter ship did!

It took hours to melt enough down for the skeleton, and even longer for the computer to make the perfect mold needed to forge the 'bones' of my creation. When finished, it took three days. Yet the results were perfect!

"Now, mother created these nano bots. I want to implement them somehow since I know cyborgs can alter and shape their bodies accordingly…" I said to myself. However manipulating the metal was simple.

The black chrome has a special ability, since there are also living organisms within the metal itself. They are used to manipulate it with enough stimulation. But for that, I would need a great power source as well as a computer with a strong enough output and capacity to keep it all together. Either way it was a project to pass the time.

I became so engrossed with it, I failed to see the world around me shift into a darker state…
