Chapter 13
I devoured the knowledge within a day.
I took into various factors as well as the health of the brain needed in order to be put into a cyborg.
However there were flaws.
I observed one named Genos for some time and his speech for one isn't something I cared for. His look as well, he may appear to have human features, yet if he were to walk out in the world, people would know instantly he is a cyborg.
I wished to change that.
I want the brothers to have the strength to stand next to elder Melee and the family, as powerful as possible, and yet at the same time, not feel left out on living life. They wanted to keep the family safe. I overheard Goliath say that his uncles wanted him to train them so they could be with the family if push comes to shove.
Humans, despite how strong they are, they cannot keep up with the likes of elder Garou and Melee. The brothers wish to do so, the only way now is to turn them into a powerful enough cyborg.
With the information gathered, I went over the supplies I had in the medical hub of the ship. I have fusing agents, I have metal and powerful machinery. There are also power cores, circuits, and a special additive I can put into the metal.
Black chrome as I mentioned before has organisms living within the metal itself. It can make something like metal into an organic like substance. For example, given enough stimulation, it can manipulate into anything the mind desires. But once again, it's getting that signal to the metal to form into the ideas. I managed to create such a system, however I will have to use the nervous system of the brothers to ensure that the signals reach their destinations.
Second of all, getting their brains into the bodies.
Lastly, the human element I wished for them to possess. "There is only one thing for that…" Within one of the supply rooms, I found them lining the walls. An indispensable resource for such a dream.
Alien slime.
The original discovered this years ago. It was during one of his conquests however he spared the planet after learning of such an organism. One of his men was attacked and lost a limb. The slime was wondering about, ate the severed limb and reattached itself onto the warrior.
Through various tests, they learned the slime has no consciousness really. It merely wonders about looking for a host. It only becomes part of its host if it add value to it. Rather remarkable if you consider it, the slime doesn't go lopping off limbs only to attach itself to a host for the hell of it.
There are also other properties. The same warrior was bit by something venomous. It killed three other men, yet this one survived… thanks to the slime.
I kept notes on it and know this is going to be vital for the Brawler's revival. But for now, I will focus on the bodies and ensure they are up to spec.
At the same time, as all this occurred, I made certain to record my finding and started a video log of my progress…

Despite my secrecy, mother began to figure out I was doing something. I had returned home after reviewing the book once more and preparing for the main surgery. Yet when I walked through the door, I found her waiting for me at the kitchen table.
She was alone, however, she appeared rather worried.
Mother was quick to confront me on the notion. "Where are you going? I hardly see you anymore" she demanded of me.
I felt like lying to her, yet at the same time. I couldn't quite bring myself to fall back into the habits of the original. "I am working on a project mother and it is very time sensitive. It's nothing destructive I promise you, but please… I need to do this." I explained.
She looked me in the eye, and yet the stern look lightened after a short while. Whether she probed my mind or not, I don't know. However she appeared to have understood my reasoning. "Okay then, just keep me posted on what you are doing okay. I worry about you."
I was rather stunned to her words. I have fully matured into what the original was, and yet, she still worries?
I nodded in agreement with her and vowed to do better to keep in touch. I kept my word too.
I would go to the association from time to time. Most recently I learned that there was something being picked up by scanners in deep space. A ping was detected and it was coming to earth at a rather fast clip. Mother had made contact with the ship posing as me, only to get a confirmation back that the message was received.
I warned her though. "Just because you sent a message doesn't mean it will stop."
She nodded in agreement and vowed to keep an eye out on it.
I went back to my lab, well, I told mother they are projects.
I made the skeleton, I have hooked up a power core into the chest cavity and then wired everything. I added a new layer of metal that mimicked the human muscle anatomy. These fibrous metals parts can alter along with the skeleton to what the mind thinks of.
The all took me a month to build, I had all the specs correct and was about to consider the add ons if needed. But first a test.
Using a headset I constructed, I attached it to one of the bodies. From there I was able to think and move it without problem. Then I tried the manipulation factor. "Right arm saber." I sat aloud.
The right arm appeared to have melted, but then reformed and became the weapon I desired! "Return,"
Instantly it melted again but went back to the default form given.
"Left foot, spring,"
The left foot melted and became a rather compatible spring on sight. "Excellent." I said with satisfaction. When the body reset to the default I figured it was time.
I ran over the program and diagnostic once more, but the challenge was this. Getting the parts of the Brawlers I need into the new bodies I designed, not to mention, giving them their human appearance.
It was all difficult to comprehend, it would requite delicate surgery to say the least. I did all this thinking while toying with one of the slimes I had on hand. They are rather relaxing to hold in one's palm, at the same time they got all the bits of dirt and matter off my hands. I was stroking one oddly as I stared at the screen. "How can I do this alone? This is a delicate surgery that would require many hands… I would ask mother but at the same time, this would break her heart if I fail. She is also trying to heal her parents of their illness…"
I would need more time to think about this. Looking at the timer I set on the pods, I know it isn't a lot. After all, the longer they wait, the more the poison spreads…
