The sound of the wind and the chirping birds doing their business early in the morning were the ones that accompanied the blond lassie as she ventured through the familiar path she would always take every time she'd head down to the town and sell flowers.

A fine day but not for her. She loved being away from the agricultural land where she pretty much grew up with crops and trees everywhere but today, she preferred to just stay indoors and read some books instead of being surrounded by lovesick people. Today was the day for love or they like to call it romance day where everyone will ask another person's hand for marriage or something. Not that she wasn't a fan of love- it just feels weird to be around people with too much affection to show. And to top all that, she gazed down at her hands where she was holding the basket full of flowers with different colours and heaved a sigh. It was beautiful and but she was to sell these to the people in town. Hence, it would make her more prone to couples who can't seem to keep their hands on each other. It was too much for her innocence eyes to see how those people would look at one another like they're some sort of food to eat.

Pretty awkward to be in between that kind of situation if you asked the girl. She let another sigh as she continued her journey to the town which was not that far ahead. She could already see the houses and structures nearby and make out the shape of multiple lovers roaming around the streets. Her steps slowed down and she was hesitating to even go further but Porlyusica's image suddenly flashed inside her head and a shiver ran down her body. She wouldn't want to anger her mother. Just the mere thought of upsetting the woman was enough for her to tremble in fear and she walked faster towards the town's gate, only to stop again. Maybe her mother would understand that she wasn't in the mood to be in a place full of people in love? She would understand, right?

However, even if she turned around now and leave to go back home, it was too late. In the distance, the shout of the people who recognized her was already filling the air. They were calling her using that awkward nickname they've given to her. She can't blame them though, Porlyusica told her to hide her identity. She shouldn't tell who she was and not even a single soul should learn about her name. Despite not knowing the reason why should kept herself hidden, she didn't question the woman. And that's the reason why people came up with their own pet name for her.

"Hey flower girl! How much longer you need to reach us? I need a new set of flowers before Christine arrives" One from the many who was looking at her direction boomed and the lassie could see hearts in his eyes the moment he mentioned the name of his lover. She knew she's got no escape from this anymore so she headed towards the crowd, hoping to sell all the flowers she has as quickly as possible.

It seemed that the heavens heed her wish a little too late because it was now dusk and her basket just got emptied by the last couple who bought the last remaining flowers. Nonetheless, she was still thankful that she managed to sell them all out. It was a rare occasion for her cause the people only loved to buy flowers if there's some kind of special event going on just like today.

Lucy took one last glance behind her where she can see people happily spending time with the love of their lives, flowers in hand and a smile on their faces. Some even looked ridiculous especially the guys who will suddenly get down on their knee, presenting a ring in a tiny red box in front of their woman despite the crowd around them.

Oh, the things that people can do out of love.

She could only stare as the corner of her lips curved into a smile. She knew that she wasn't yet ready to experience those kinds of things but in times like this, Lucy still couldn't keep herself from wondering when will she meet the one for her. With one last gaze towards the happy townspeople, she turned her heels around and walked to where she came from earlier and the smile soon became even bigger knowing that she would see the perfect view for the sunset as she travelled home using another path where she knew that the sunset would be more visible.

In the middle of her journey, she lowered her gaze to her basket and stopped on her tracks. There was a purple flower at the very bottom of the basket and she recognised it immediately. It was the flower Porlyusica had been trying to grow and after years of trying, she finally succeeded. It was a flower that can cure mild sicknesses such as headache and cough and many more that people can experience temporarily. She wondered how did Porlyusica mix it up with the common flowers.

"Pretty... " She mumbled, staring at the little bloom between her fingers. It somehow reminded her of something that she can't seem to grasp what exactly. But the feeling was there. The flower seemed familiar and yet not. But the bloom was indeed pretty and somehow looked like it was out of this world. Its purplish petals were mixed with a glittery gold color and the center looked like it was made of gold. Like it was the real deal. And was it only the rays of the setting sun, or she can see a faint glow surrounding the flower? But the moment she noticed it, the light disappeared like it was never there. Is it a magical flower? Did her mother able to succeed in making it bloom using sorcery?

Now that was weird, for all she knew, Porlyusica hated magic so she ceased Lucy's interest from learning how to use it when she was still a child. She even warned her that magic should only be used if she was ready for the cost it might take. She could feel a headache slowly taking over her head and she pondered for a second whether she should use the flower to stop the pain but later on decided to continue her journey and ask the old woman if the plant was effective in terms of healing illnesses.

While she was in her trance, a carriage past her and halted within a few feets away from her. Lucy could tell the wagon's passenger came from a noble family, basing on its condition and the materials used to build it. The two horses in front looked like they're being fed food that was way expensive than her own. But why would they stop in such a deserted place? There was nothing to nice see here except fot the beautiful sunset.

The questions in her mind were answered the moment that the door of the carriage swung open and a young man dressed in a expensive looking attire came out and emptied his stomach on one of the bushes. Soon another man followed after him with his arms crossed on his chest. He looked disgusted while staring at the young man who was still throwing up.

"Oi, will you hurry up so we can continue our journey? You were supposed to meet princess Lisanna today but thanks to your weird stomach we're a day late" The ravenette spoke towards the sick man and she only realized it now, he has an odd hair color. It was pink and it reminded her of the colour of the cherry blossoms.

She could see the man slowly stood properly only to bent over again and started throwing up once more. She felt bad seeing someone suffer like that. Although, never seeing one in person, Lucy knew what's the condition that the young man was suffering from. She never thought that she'd see someone with a motion sickness attempting to travel a long journey. She could tell they're from far away land for she never saw the crest in any noble family from this part of her kingdom.

Lucy remembered Porlyusica's words.

She should never let anyone know what her name and never approach a noble person.

but the only thought running inside her head was to help those who are in need. Gripping basket and the flower in her other hand, she silently strode towards the two men.

The ravenette was quick to sense her presence and her heart nearly jumped out from her ribcage at his actions. He actually pointed a sword at her direction, glaring at her "Who are you woman? What do you want?"

Lucy immediately regretted her decision. Now just put her life on the line all because she wanted to help a man. She couldn't speak and that didn't go unnoticed by the ravenette who was still holding his sword, ready to strike if she even made a single move. The atmosphere continued to grow thick and she wished that the ground would just swallow her up to escape from that situation she had put herself into.

"Gray, don't point your sword at civilians" The pinkette spoke, breaking the tension between the two.

She thought she could finally breathe at ease but it seemed that the ravenette was too cautious about her. Instead of letting his guard down, he stepped forward to the maiden and stared at her in the eye, his deep blue orbs penetrating her very soul in search for answers. Lucy could tell that he was determined to kill her if he confirmed that she was a threat.

"Gray!" She heard the guy with motion sickness yelled as he pushed the ravanette to the side and away from her, revealing himself to her at the same time. Their eyes locked and her mouth opened slightly, her breathing hitched along with her heartbeat.

Despite the shock on his visage, Lucy didn't have any doubt when she told herself that this man was handsome, just like his friend whom she assumed was called Gray. Or she heard wrong? She had seen many men with a beautiful face but none of them made her heart skip a beat like the pinkette did.

"Ahem" Gray interrupted "Hate to butt in, Natsu. But don't go that close to that woman. She could be a witch sent to murder you"

Recovering from his shock, The pinkette blinked his eyes and turned his gaze at the other man before returning it to her, seemingly amused. He smiled and chuckled "I don't see the witch in her"

Her heart then started beating rapidly upon seeing his careless smile. She thought that if this man wanted the whole world under his control, he can have it just by flashing that smile at everyone and anything.

"Natsu!-"

"Stay put. That's an order"

She heard Gray grunted and stepped back. He wore a frustrated expression for not being able to defy the pinkette's words. It made Lucy wonder who exactly are these people. Did she really make a wrong decision to try and help this man standing in front of her now?

"Sorry about that. Gray was just doing his job to protect me" The guy called Natsu grinned at her and she scolded herself for being caught off guard again with that smile on his face. Hearing no response from the lady, the pinkette spoke again "I am Natsu and you are?"

Her head started spinning as million of thought started resurfacing inside her mind. What should she answer to that? He was kind enough to introduce himself properly so should she do the same? But she knew she can't do that. She didn't want to upset and disappoint her mother. Without realising it, her mouth opened to speak,

"F-flower girl"

An awkward silence fell upon the three and it wasn't for Gray laughing, they would continue to stand there still with no intention to speak. Lucy was downright embarrassed now and she could tell she was blushing furiously. Great, she just turned herself into a laughing stock.

"Seriously... Flower girl? Aren't you too old to be holding onto your childhood nickname?"

"Shut the hell up, Gray" She heard Natsu growled, shooting daggers at the ravenette before turning towards her. She could definitely the confusion in his face but masked up with his toothy grin "Right, flower girl" his word felt like a knife stabbing her. even if she knew he didn't mean to make fun of her or anything, Lucy still wish to dig her own grave right about now "Do you have business with us? The reason why you approached me and Gray?"

"No, I just... " She paused for a bit, looking at Gray who was staring at her with a stern look and Natsu, who's still smiling and waiting patiently for her answer. She figured out that she should just do what her real intention was and get it over with so all of them can move on from this and continue their life. She just wanted to go home. Lucy slowly lifted her hand that was holding the flower and offered it to him "This will help you through your journey"

"A flower?" The puzzled pinkette took it, tilting it side to side in curiosity.

She nodded and tried to muster up a smile which Natsu instantly noticed. She could see him stiffen for a second but soon regained his composure and smiled "How will this help me?" He asked.

"It can heal your motion sickness if you keep it close to you as you travel with" She pointed at his carriage "That"

"Alright, that's it. Knew you are a witch" Gray held up his sword once more but once again stopped by Natsu who took the sword away from the ravenette and hide behind his back.

That seemed to trigger something in Gray and the two started bickering like kids.

"Stop getting in the way, flame brain! If you die I'll be hanged to death and I don't plan on dying this young!"

"Why would I die? You think I am someone who can easily get killed or fooled!? Can't you tell flower girl brings no harm to us and was only trying to help ice freak!"

Lucy blushed and lowered her gaze to the ground when her nickname was mentioned once again. But she's somehow glad that she wasn't the only one who has a weird nickname. It seemed the two has a wide variety of names to call each other when they're fighting.

"I must go" She whispered, afraid that they might shout at her. Her voice was so low that she doubted any of the two would hear her. She was wrong cause Natsu quickly turned his attention towards her.

"Alright then flower girl! If I die from this I'll haunt you aye?" He grinned, waving the flower in his hand.

"Idiot! You are really taking that thing!? It could be a poisonous plant!" Gray snarled in anger.

And they started arguing again. Lucy could tell that Gray cares about Natsu a lot. He wasn't just protecting him because of his duty. He was protecting him because he's a friend. She needed to say something to ease the man's worries.

"Sir Gray? If something bad happens to Sir Natsu because of the flower I gave to him, I will take responsibility. If you're wondering where you will find me, I will wait here every sunset for the next following days"

She smiled at the two, glad that they stopped their fight and listened to her. They both nodded and that was her cue to leave. She politely excused herself and left the two. Porlyusica would surely get worried if she doesn't come home anytime soon.

"Told you, Gray. She's not what you think she is" Inside the wagon, Natsu remarked at his friend who was sitting across from him. He was completely fine even if the carriage was moving pretty fast. All because of the flower given to him by a beautiful but strange girl.

"Yeah yeah, wipe that stupid smile on your face already and don't give me that Romeo and Juliet tragic story. You are about to be engaged but I can see that you are smitten with another girl" Gray sighed.

"I am not!" The pinkette growled and leaned his back against his seat and opened the window near him. He can't help but stare at the direction where he met the flower girl. At the back of his head, he was hoping to meet her once again.
