A/N: I'm back! Woo! Alright, gonna hop straight into this one too.

PERCY

I got back to our base around 8:30, two and a half hours past curfew mind you, and was greeted by Grover, who looked visibly relieved yet angry.

"Where have you been!" he practically yelled at me, "It's half past 8! You know how dangerous it is after 7!"

"Grover, chill, I'm fine."

"Fine? And what if you weren't?"

"What does it matter," I say bluntly, "What ifs don't change anything."

"Percy-" he started, but I interrupted before he could finish.

"I was at my mom's restaurant, I was fine." Grover said nothing at this. He knew how important my mom was to me and pity the fool who got in the way of me and her.

"Just be more careful please?"

"No promises." At this, Grover sighed and went to sit on the couch, finally relaxing. I walked into my room and sat on my bed. Lord knows I needed a nap. I put me pen on the nightstand and slowly succumb to the release of sleep.

LEO

I looked at the Malus cube curiously. Oh yea, the small 1-inch by 1-inch cube Percy stole? We called it the Malus cube. It was definitely a weird item to say the least. It had no openings, no buttons or switches. It made nearly no sense. I knew something inside was running, I don't know how to word it but something was… buzzing.

I sat and stared at it waiting for it to do something. And waited… and… waited…

Still, nothing happened.

Then it hit me. Both of the things Percy took had some sort of link with him, in his case, they needed a blood sample. I've held this one, but nothing happened, but what if it doesn't need blood?

I picked up the box and started hovering it over different parts of my body. I scanned my entire torso before giving up on that idea. I started scanning my arm, when out of the box, small tendrils poked out, reaching out for my forearm. I pull the box away and put it down rather quickly. I step back and take a few deep breaths. I almost got Alien Isolationed by a small black cube. As I looked at it again, I felt drawn to it, or I guess drawn to wanting to know what it did. I look around and see Grover passed out on the couch. I take on last deep breath. I pick the box up again, and take the plunge…

PERCY

I wake up to hearing Leo scream. I bust out of my room, nearly bumping into Piper on my way out. We see Leo on his knees clutching his head, Grover at his side trying to help him.

"Pick him up!" Grover says quickly, "Put him on the table!"

We do as we're told and put him on the gurney. We tie his hands and feet down, so he doesn't somehow hurt himself.

"What happened?!" I shout at Grover, confused and concerned.

"I don't know! I was asleep on the couch and he started screaming!"

"Guys, the box is missing!" Piper exclaims, pulling the case it was in over.

"Oh shit."

"We gotta get it-" Grover starts, but is interrupted by Leo's immediate silence. His tremors disappeared, like the moment you got into the middle of a tornado, and there was only quiet.

"Is he… Is he dead?" Piper said, not wanting to know the answer.

"No, no he can't be."

"But he's not-" for the second time tonight, Leo interrupted Grover. Leo burst up taking in a deep breath and started breathing heavy. He took a second to relax, and we untied him, giving him some space.

"You alright there chief?"

"I don't know," he said honestly, "First things first, I found out how to activate those boxes. There's a specific body part that it attaches to and absorbs under your skin. This one was my forearm; I don't know if it changes. Second, I have no idea what this one did yet."

"You implanted it in yourself without knowing what it did?"

"Oh I'm sorry, let's recap, Percy puts on a magic watch and pen but the moment I do something I'm in trouble?"

He had a point there. I look at Grover who looks dumbfounded.

"But he's Percy! You're smarter than this!"

"Hey!"

"Look," Piper said, finally pitching her thoughts in, "Lets figure out what it does. Do you feel stronger, and different?"

"Not really, just really warm."

"It's 70 degree's down here, what do you mean warm?"

"Like," he started, putting his hands out, shrugging, "a fire?" As he said fire, two fireballs appeared in his hand. Grover, Piper and I all dove backwards, avoiding the now pyromancer. "wooahhh," was all Leo could muster.

"How did you do that?"

Leo didn't answer. He simply looked at the fire, watching it die down. He closed his fingers, leaving only his index finger up, and focused on it. At the tip, a small fire ball erupted.

"Whenever I think of fire," he started, looking at us now, "This happens, like I can control it." He pointed his finger at a brick in the wall and seemingly willed fire at it like a laser.

"Holy shit," I say in shock, "That's awesome."

"RIGHT?!" Leo says excitedly, jumping up to his feet on the gurney.

"So there are 18 of these?" Piper asks, cautiously.

"Yea, why?"

"Because we need to get them before anyone else with more malicious intent does."

A look of realization dawned on everyone at how dangerous this was. And for the second time this week, we planned a raid on Malus Corp.

A/N: And that's the chapter! Leo's got his awesome firebending back, and the others will be getting their powers soon! I hope you guys enjoyed, read and review!

Peace out,
