All his life he knew only one thing and that was to play around with everything. Even in serious situations, he was always the one to bring the positivity out from everyone. Unlike his brother, Prince Zeref, Natsu was a royalty whom you can mess around with like he's just normal friend.

A smile was always present on the second prince's face every time you'll see him but today was an exception. His royal knight, Gray Fullbuster woke him up earlier than usual to prepare for their journey to the Strauss Kingdom. He was expected to show up and spend the romance day with his future betrothed. The idea didn't please him at all but he knew that's his duty. He didn't want to be the one that'll cause conflicts between his kingdom and the Strauss. The last thing he would desire was to start a war just because he doesn't want to attend their invitation to get to know the princess.

But can anyone really blame him if he just wanted to stay there in his room and be lazy all day? Who cares about that love day thing anyway if he wasn't going to spend with the one he truly loves? Princess Lisanna was beautiful and kind but Natsu knew she wasn't the one. He tried many times to love her or at least like her but there are things you can't control. His heart was one of them.

He really couldn't fathom the reason why he was suddenly arranged to marry someone whom he only met thrice in his entire twenty years of life.

Everything happened in a flash, his servants came into his room in a rush and tidied him up. It didn't take long for them to finish fixing the prince and soon he and Gray were off to their journey. At least he got to eat delicious food before the torturous trip. He was thankful but he'll soon be taking that back the moment he boarded the wagon.

Envying the people outside the window of his carriage, Natsu groaned, he's already feeling a little nauseous and to add to his agony, a headache soon followed. He just wished to get rid of his motion sickness and enjoy a long ride. Was that too much to ask? Cause even to this day, no one ever succeeded in making medicine to cure his condition. Not even one of the best sorceress and sorcerers were able to invent such a thing.

Nothing good seemed to go his way today. Gray wasn't helping either, telling him to just swallow it up again every time he would throw up. What kind of advice was that? That's disgusting even for someone like him who doesn't really care about proper hygiene and good etiquette. Yes, he was a prince but who said he was that charming and oh-so-perfect prince everyone would adore. If given a chance to change his entire life, he would want to just become a normal person and go in adventures and maybe look for dragons too. That mythical creature always fascinated him you see. The fact that their royal family crest was designed to look like a dragon didn't help to end his interest in the beast. He always wondered if they were real or not.

He was cursing almost the whole world for being so cruel to him. While he was suffering, he could see others outside his wagon having fun and celebrating the very reason why he was put into this situation.

"To hell with this romance day" He breathed, sweat rolling down his forehead as he closed his eyes, trying to find a comfortable position against his seat. He kept on shifting and shifting and that annoyed the person across him.

"Well? If you don't want to travel anymore, better start praying for your twenty-first birthday to come sooner and finally marry the princess and take over for the throne there" Gray suggested, closing the book he was reading to lean his elbow on the window frame as he stared outside.

"I don't wanna get marrieeed" Natsu whined, taking his hand over his mouth as he gagged once more. His face turning purple.

"Whatever" The ravenette sighed "And don't you dare throw up on your clothes. That'll be hella hard to deal with before we reach the Strauss Kingdom"

He just wished for this nightmare to end that instant cause he could tell his consciousness slowly slipping away and he might pass out any minute now. He wouldn't want to reach the castle of the Strauss looking so worn out. He still got his pride to keep.

Just before all hopes for him disappeared and he was helplessly spewing out the food he ate that morning into the poor innocent bush, an angel came for his redemption. she wasn't an actual angel with wings and halo hovering on top of her head but she did-look like an angel even without those. The way her golden tresses dance along with the breeze and her honey doe eyes that held nothing but worry as she stared at his dark onyx ones. Natsu could tell that she wasn't pitying him, she wanted to help him.

Natsu had to let out a sharp breath as his heart skipped a beat or two just by looking at her.

Holding a conversation with the girl wasn't that much of a challenge for him. He actually felt pretty comfortable while talking to her but he also figured out that she was hiding something. If anything, he can see that she desired to leave immediately as soon as they finished talking, never to show herself in front of him again. Did Gray scare her that much or she's just not interested to be meddling with people like them?

A beautiful commoner with real intention to help him not just to impress him because he obviously came from a wealthy family? now that's rare to see. It made him smile and when she did smile back at him, it felt like his heart did a marathon. It was beating a lot faster than before. It never happened to him. There was something about this girl that piqued his interest. Of course, someone as dense as him wouldn't be able to tell what exactly was that.

Unfortunately, they needed to be on their way and same from the strange girl who's calling herself a flower girl. He found it odd but amusing at the same time. He kinda liked the way she made herself into a mysterious person he was eager to meet again. With that, they parted ways.

Yup, she was a weirdo but Natsu wanted to befriend her somehow. Not to forget, he stared closer at the purple flower in his hand. She was the one who gave it to him and he was dumb enough to not thank her properly for ending his distress about boarding any means of conveyance, temporarily. Because after hours has passed and the sun was starting to show itself again from hiding into the horizon, he could feel his head started to spin. His motion sickness was coming back.

"G-Gray are we... somewhere near? I think I need to puke" He could feel his stomach twist and turn as the carriage wheels continued to roll against the ground, faster than ever.

"Yeah, we are at the border already Natsu. Keep it together man" His royal knight spoke softly. It was obvious that he was tired. The ravenette didn't sleep at all to keep in watch throughout their journey "What did happen to the flower? Lost its magic already?"

"What magic?" He grunted, holding his stomach and threw his head back. He's really starting to feel sick again "... It lasted longer than I expected so I am still thankful to her"

"That girl was overflowing with magic Natsu. I am surprised that the magic she cast upon that flower didn't last for at least a day or even two. Maybe she was unaware when she incorporated some of her witchcraft onto that blossom or she was simply not trained to use sorcery " Gray stated, looking directly into the pinkette's orbs.

"Is it normal for a normal person without a noble blood to hold that much power?" The royal knight's expression changed and a few heartbeats passed before he formulate an answer to the prince's question.

As far as Natsu knew of, only the nobles and royalties can have magic running in their blood. Just like Gray who came from a duke's bloodline. He could easily manipulate ice and use some other tricks too. He on the other hand controlled fire, but he mostly used it to play around.

His thoughts were interrupted by Gray's respond.

"No, unless she was from a nobility" He knew she was something out of the ordinary. That made him more interested in her than before.

"Up for some investigation?" The pinkette could see a little smirk spread across the knight's visage.

"I'm in. But you must do your duties first" Gray voiced out, opening the door of the wagon. So that's why he stopped feeling sick. He didn't even notice that they reached the Strauss Kingdom and was now inside the palace ground.

Once he stepped out of the carriage, he was greeted by the servants and few people who knew that the second prince from Alvarez kingdom was on his way to see their beloved princess. The servants soon guided both of him and Gray inside the castle and met the strauss siblings and the King and Queen.

Natsu apologized for not making it yesterday and was thankful that the Strauss family had forgiven him but asked him to take care of their sulking daughter for the day. He chuckled and just nodded his head while looking at the porcelain haired girl.

He was smiling but it didn't felt right. It's like he wasn't supposed to be in there at all. He was supposed to be somewhere else. A strange force was telling him that but he can't pinpoint where it was coming from.

The Alvarez prince spent the day with the princess. She was a nice girl. Easy to get along with and she doesn't ask for much but still, Natsu could not bring himself to see her as his future wife. He would consider her a friend but nothing more than that. Perhaps, she wasn't really his type for a girl. He wanted someone who he can ride a horse with him and maybe even do a race, last one's gonna take a stupid punishment just so they can laugh at each other's antics. Someone who would smile without holding back in order to stay looking like a proper lady. He just wanted someone true to themselves and not afraid to take their heeled shoes off to run in muddy ground, not caring about how their clothes would look after.

He only realized it now but maybe, just maybe, he actually wants someone that didn't grow up with everything they need and want handed to them?

"Thank you for today, Prince Natsu" Lisanna courtesies, bowing her head to the prince "Are you sure you don't want to stay for the night? You seem exhausted already"

He shook his head and showed his gratitude by slightly nodding his head "I'll be fine, Lisanna. Till we meet again hm?" He hummed, grinning before he climbed back up to his wagon. Gray was soon to follow inside after showing his respect for the princess and they are off again, back to the town where they met a certain girl.

"I am surprised you choose travelling with that motion sickness of yours than to lie down on a comfy bed tonight" The knight placed a hand over his face as he sighed "Now look at you"

Natsu's face gradually turned purple as the carriage started moving. He's starting to get dizzy and his stomach wanted to empty itself again. But there's no stopping him from his decision.

"Why are you in such a hurry though?" Inquired the ravenette, looking at him weirdly.

"Did you forget? We hafta find the flower girl" And he saw Gray heaved once more and just nodded his head as respond to his words.
