Ashley Rosier was not your average Beauxbatons student.

First off, she was British at heart. Her father Regulus had met her mother Celeste at Hogwarts, the last true female Rosier. However, after a quickly falling in love with one another, he left to join the Death Eaters and regretfully got himself killed while her mother, shamed by her aunt Druella, fled for France. Ashley was brought up in the beautiful Nandes, where she and her mother lived happily. While the countryside of Pays-de-Loire was beautiful, her mother would always say that the castle of Hogwarts, nestled in Scotland, held the best views of the sunsets Ashley adored.

Second, although British, her mother felt much more comfortable having her daughter grow up in France, with the pureblood aristocracy, than the toxic Sacred 28 families in Britain. They cared way too much about their blood, Ashley's mother told her daughter. Madame Rosier believed that strength of magical ability should influence standing in society, not blood purity. She taught her daughter that it was necessary to have Muggleborns, as they provide vital relief to the decreasing gene pool of wizards.

Third, although she was born with blond hair, her eyes were a startling shade of green, inherited from her Rosier side. She was trained very quickly in Legilimency and Occlumency, easily adapting to her new skills. She excelled in her magical studies, near the top of her class at Beauxbatons. She was an Animagus, although no one - and that means no one - except her mother knew. As her mother told her, sometimes having one secret can be the difference between success and failure, whether at a game of cards or life itself. Trained in diplomacy, Ashley quickly mastered the art of the secret, talking so it seemed she revealed quite a bit but in reality, she revealed little.

However, despite her many Rosier traits, she was very prone to emotional outbursts. Although controlled throughout the day, the house elfs would constantly have to clean up the broken vases and shattered glasses from the floor at night, especially after a long day of pureblooded nonsense.

Going into her 16 birthday (her birthday was in April), Ashley was excited for the opportunity of returning to her mother's homeland and school. Although visibly pale, Celeste kissed her daughter's forehead before bidding her off to join her friends in the carriage. Ashley waved to her mother as the pegasuses began to fly away before turning to her best friend Fleur. Although a year older, Fleur and Ashley had quickly formed a bond from their equal fascination with magic. Fleur had taught Ashley everything she knew (which probably helped Ashley's first place standing in class) and they were constantly presenting theories and spells to each other to try.

"C'est parfait, Fleur! Je retourne au château où ma mère et mon père se sont rencontrés. Un château de romance et d'amour!" For Ashley held no ill will towards her father. She understood his sacrifice, expressed in a letter to her mother.

"Oui! J'ai hâte de voir la Hogwarts et voir les élèves. Je pense que Hermione Granger, la sorcière qui est la plus intelligente au monde, nous apprendre de nouvelles choses magiques." Fleur said bouncing on the edge of her seat.

Ashley and Fleur continued conversing the whole journey in anticipation of the possibility of learning new magic and, for Ashley, seeing the place her mother and father fell in love.

"Perfect, Fleur! I am returning to the castle where my mother and father met. A castle of romance and love!" is the French Translation for what Ashley says.

"Yes! I can't wait to see Hogwarts and see the students. I think Hermione Granger, the smartest witch in the world, can teach us some magical new things." is the French Translation for what Fleur responded with.
