Hi readers! I couldn't come up with any ideas for my MLB and KotLC fic so I decided to write a new crossover.

ATTENTION THIS IS IMPORTANT! SHOUTOUT TO FANFICGURL HAS CREATED MANY IDEAS IN THIS FIC, LIKE THE DISTRICT 14 IDEA. THE MAIN-ISH PLOT IS ALL HER IDEA, TOO. SHE ALSO MADE A FIC LIKE THIS, SO GO READ IT RIGHT NOW! THANK YOU SO MUCH FANFICGURL!

I haven't read the second to forth book, only the first one. If you have, go read Fanficgurl's fic, because it takes place after Mockingjay.

Enjoy the chapter. Remember to leave a review!

Marinette tries to push past the crowd to get to Alya, and failing. The mayor was giving an announcement and it was mandatory, something that has never happened before.

It must be important if it's mandatory. Marinette thinks. Finally getting to the front, Alya was standing impatiently, arms crossed and right foot tapping.

"GIRL HOW IN THE WORLD COULD YOU BE LATE WHEN THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT IN YOUR LIFE?" Alya screams and Marinette winced.

"Sorry! Sorry! I woke up late..." Marinette knew it was a horrible excuse, but she couldn't exactly say, 'Oh sorry I'm Ladybug and I had to rescue an akuma victim.'

Alya harrumphs and rolls her eyes. The mayor then steps up to the podium and clears his throat.

"People of Paris.." He waits until every calms down and continues. "We have recently discovered that we are not part of France anymore. We are part of a country called Panem and Paris is not our name anymore."

The crowd erupts in murmurs and shouts of disbelief.

We aren't part of Paris. We aren't part of France. Marinette thinks.

"We are called District 14. Panem took a long time to find us. Every year, the capital of Panem, which is called...err…the Capitol, hosts a reality TV show, with two children, ages 12-18, one girl and one boy from each district to participate as tributes. " The mayor continues and the crowd relaxes a bit. Marinette also relaxes, nothing big changed.

"The tributes are chosen by random, if your child is 12, one slip is contributed. If your child is 13, then 2 slips are contributed, and so on. The chosen tributes are chosen at a reaping, which will be tomorrow, and then they are sent to the Capitol to fight to the death in an arena. Only one victor may remain. This is called the Hunger Games." The mayor states, looking wobbly.

Marinette just stands there in shock. What if she gets picked? She will have to abandon her friends, her family, and might not even come back! Some of the crowd begin to cry, and Marinette was tempted to join in. How will she protect Paris...no, District 14? Worst of all, how will Chat Noir protect District 14 without her? What about her role as the Guardian? Marinette silently rants to herself.

"Marinette, there's no way we will get picked, we only have 3 slips, and there are so many girls in the city." Alya reassures her, and Marinette relaxes a bit. Just a little bit, though.

"If your child's age is within the limit, the school your child attends will let them watch the previous Hunger Games today if you still don't understand." The mayor finishes.

The crowd silently leaves, but Marinette's legs refused to move. It was lunch break right now, so she still had 30 minutes to process what was just said.

"Tikki, what will I do if I get picked?" Marinette asks when everyone was gone.

"We'll see when we know more about this." Tikki replied, and Marinette trudged to the school.

Adrien didn't know what to do. Watching the announcement on TV (There wasn't any other channels to watch) made him shake like a leaf. What if he gets picked? He has 3 slips after all. 3 chances he could get sent to certain death. Unless he won. He probably can't handle killing anyone. The thought made his lunch churn, and he almost threw up on the sidewalk. Swallowing his vomit and his pride, walked back to the school sadly. His dad has completely freaked out when he heard the news and some people dressed in white, kinda like a storm trooper, came in and shot him with a sedative. Adrien arrived to to the school and there was a gloomy vibe when he walked up the steps. Everyone looked sad, as anyone here could be sent to the Capitol.

I wish this stupid announcement never happened. What is the Capitol thinking? Sending innocent children to death? Adrien thinks and he stares at his ring. What will happen if he got chosen? How will he still be Chat Noir if he's dead? But I won't die. I will win. Adrien told himself, trying to think positive. How else did he survive his mother's disappearance? He practically dragged himself to the classroom, and slumped in his seat. No one talked. Adrien had tried to talk to his kwami, but he just stared off into space. Plagg said his past owner was also sent to the Hunger Games 20 years ago. Adrien wanted to ask, but Plagg looked so unhappy he thought it was best to leave him alone. Ms. Bustier came in, looking sad. Scanning the room, taking a look at everyone like it was the last time she'd see them. Then she picked up a remote.

"Here is the 74th Hunger Games. This year it will be the 76th Hunger Games, but the 75th had way too much rebellion." Ms. Bustier explains, and turns on the projector.

*Time Skip to the end of the Hunger Games video*

Katniss won. With Peeta. Hope flared. If he got sent to the Games, then maybe he can copy their strategy. The star-crossed lovers. Depends. Everything felt so temporary. His family. His friends. His life. It feels like everything could just be taken away by the Capitol. If Adrien gets sent to the Games, he could take a token. He decided to take his ring. If he needed to transform in the arena, he will. He didn't care about his identity, he couldn't just...die. That night he couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned, wishing he had a sedative to help him sleep.

*Time skip to the reaping (I know I am lazy)*

Adrien fidgeted and played with his ring. He was dreading this day. Some woman, with pink hair and a white painted face, dressed in green zipped to the podium. The Louvre. They were standing at the Louvre, immediately made the place gloomy and unhappy. The mayor sat behind her on a chair, with Chloe standing beside him, staring at her feet. Adrien had never seen Chloe so...deflated.

"Hello District 14! We finally found you! My name is Effie Trinket, and I will be an advisor to your fellow tributes! Welcome to your first reaping, and may the odds be ever in your favor!" Effie says, awfully chirpy. Adrien grimaced. Effie runs (In heels, and Adrien admired her talent of doing that.) to the glass ball containing all the girls names. She grabs a slip somewhere in the middle, and runs back to the podium.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng." She calls. Adrien's jaw falls. Not Marinette! She was his best friend who was a girl. The Games will deflate her. All her happiness, her smile, her optimism, will he ever see that again? He realized that he cared a lot about Marinette. Could he...have a crush on her? Adrien shook his head, but he knew inside that he did. He wasn't ready to admit he had a crush on someone who is gonna die. Adrien swallowed, and a stubborn tear slipped down his cheek. Marinette slips out of the crowd of 14 year old's, and walked to the podium in stiff, small steps with her hands clenched into fists by her sides. Marinette looks up at the crowd as she got to the stage, in the spot beside Effie. Her eyes meet his and Adrien's eyes glisten over with tears. Marinette looks away.

"Now the boy tribute!" Effie says, running to and back from the boy's ball so fast and reading out the name. "Adrien Agreste." Adrien froze. His insides crystallized but his legs had a mind of its own. They carried him to the stage, and firmly leaves him there as the mayor takes out a book and reads the history of Panem. Adrien usually loves history, but tunes him out as he thought about what his future will be. If he and Marinette pulls off the 'star-crossed lovers...well he really did love her. He just doesn't know if she liked him in that way. She always seemed to run away every time he talked to her. Did she hate him? The mayor finishes his boring speech and he and Marinette shake hands, and Adrien wanted to never let go.
