Pound Pound Pound
The loud knocks reverberate throughout the room, torturing the lone occupants already throbbing head.
Blaine Anderson grunted as he shakily uses his arms to push his way upwards. Hazel eyes clenching at the suns bright rays streaming in through the curtains.
"Ohhhhh, my everything," states the pained young man, bile rising in his throat "What happened to me?"
Try as he might, Blaine couldn't grasp the answer of why he was nursing off what appeared to be the hangover of all hangovers.
Pound Pound Pound
Blaine clutched his aching head in response to the interruptions "Was ... Is that the door?"
Pound Pound
It is, but why? His parents were once again away for work, so who could possibly be bothering him at this ungodly hour of-Wow, afternoon already?
Pound
"Go away ... Please."
Pound Pound And finally a deep, demanding voice "Blaine!"
A voice that seemed oddly familiar to his ears, but strangely out of place here.
Pound "Blaine! Pound open this Pound "door!"
"Alright, alright!" Whispers the teen, barely able to rise to his feet and off the living room floor he'd somehow fallen asleep on and heading for the door "I'm coming,"
The pounds finally stop as Blaine takes hold of the handle and clicks the entrance open. What stood before him however, only raised more questions of his sanity "What ... What are you all doing here?"
Standing on the Anderson family porch was the figures of Finn Hudson, Burt and Carole Hummel.
And none of them looked happy
"Get Kurt down here right now, I gotta have a word with him." Growls Burt
Blaines eyes widen "Kurt? He's ... Kurt's here?"
"He never came home last night," speaks Carole worriedly
"My boy knows better than this," declares Burt "Kurt knows damn well not to stay out late and to call me if anything comes up."
Blaine turns his attention to inside the home "Uh, Kurt? Kurt ... You here?"
"If you won't get him, I will." Finn pushes his way inside the home and treks upstairs, followed shortly by Burt "Kurt!"
Blaine grabs his skull once more, His head felt like it was about to explode. Carole, recognizing the signs due to her being a hospital nurse, helps lead Blaine to sit on the couch.
"Do you have a headache, Blaine?"
"Dizzy, don't feel good." Blaine nods "My head and stomach are killing me."
Carole places a hand atop Blaine's sweaty forehead "You don't have a fever, but-" she easily detected traces of alcohol on the boys breath "Blaine, did you go out drinking last night?"
"I-" Blaine's frazzled mind raced with the sudden onslaught of images, people dancing and loud music "I think s-so,"
"Was Kurt with you?" Questions Carole, the woman ringing a wet washcloth in the sink mere steps away.
"Kurt?" Blaine travels the images to try and locate his boyfriend. He knew he himself was dancing, but "I don't know, I can-can't remember."
Burt and Finn trudge down the stairs, instead of anger now only anxious worry set upon their features "He's not here."
"We checked everywhere, mom!"
Carole sighs before placing the wet cloth a top the boys forehead "Do you mind if I try something, Blaine? To help you remember?"
Blaine tentatively nods, she's obviously helping him as he can feel the pain dull "O-okay, as long as it doesn't hurt my he-head."
"I can't promise it won't, sweetie, but it could help us find Kurt. You want to find him right?"
"Kurt's ... Kurt's missing?"
Carole nods, lowering the cloth to cover hazel eyes and tilting his head back against the couch "Blaine, I want you to close your eyes and focus. Take a series of deep inhaling and exhaling breathes. Focus on last night, put yourself back there. What sounds do you hear? What smells linger? What do you feel? ... Where are you, Blaine?"
"I'm-" the pain and grogginess slowly evaporate, The couch he's resting on shimmers away, the only sound Carole's voice.
Wait, there's something else
"I- I hear music and ... People, lots of people."
Carole smiles "That's good Blaine, you're doing so good. Now, I need you to search for Kurt, is he there with you?"
Blaine's eyes twitch "It's too loud,"
"Okay, Blaine push out all the background noises, listen intently for Kurt's voice and his alone."
Burt fishes his cellphone from his pocket, dialing his son and placing the mobile on speaker "This voice, Blaine."
"Hey, you've reached Kurt, sorry I missed your call and unless your any jock Neanderthals, I'll probably call you back."
"That voice, search only for Kurt, his smell, his hair, anything you can find." Leads Carole
Blaine sniffs deeply, the familiar and warming scent of almond and vanilla greeting him "I smell Kurt, he always smells so sweet."
"That's good!" Speaks Carole "Follow the smell, Blaine. Where's Kurt?"
Blaine's head turns left and right, nose still sniffing and ears now catching snippets of a conversation "I can hear him talking to someone,"
Brown coifed hair atop a body swiveling in a chair, flashes of blue eyes "Kurt, he's- he's sitting at the bar."
Burt fights to rein in his outrage of his child frequenting a bar underage
Blue denim over shirt and matching hat, short dark brown hair and fluffy build "Feel accepted,"
"That voice- I recognize it,"
"As long as you're not beating people up, I-"
Blaine gasps "Karofsky, Kurt's talking to Dave Karofsky."
Burt clenched his knuckles, teeth grinding. Finn landing punch after punch into a pillow.
"Wait- We're outside now, Kurt's walking me to the car."
Kiss me, kiss me
Blaine grunts at the feeling of a body falling on his, Kurt's voice directly in his ear
Cold hands, cold hands!
And then, Blaine trembled as all hell broke loose
Let's just do it
Hands upon chest, fingers holding Kurt close
Stop it, stop it!
Pushing, shoving, yelling and Kurt crying
Blaine!
"I can't! I don't want to see this, wake me up!"
Carole jumps at the sudden change, hands rubbing circles on the boys palm "Come back, Blaine. Follow my voice, feel my touch."
Tickles, something tickled.
"Wake up, open your eyes, Blaine."
Weren't his eyes already open?
"Wake up," the voice was just a whisper now, he didn't understand. Wasn't he supposed to be focusing on Kurt?
"Wake-"
Kurt, where was his sweet, amazing boyfriend?
"Hey, tiger." That most definitely was NOT Kurt's voice
Musky smell, aftershave and hairspray "Sebastian,"
"Hey, tiger."
Where's Kurt? Why was Sebastian here? What's going on?!
"Just wanna live here and make art and help people-"
Wait, that's me talking!
Kurt's tear stained face
Blaine!
Walking away
"No! No, don't walk away!"
Blaine!
"Don't leave him!"
Blaine!
"KURT!"
With a choked gasp Blaine falls from his perch on the couch, watery fluid rushing from his mouth. Unknown hands tapping his back helping him to once again breathe.
"Dude, are you ok? You just started freaking out and screaming."
Heart racing as the teen jumps to his feet "We were at Scandals, Sebastian gave us fake IDs. Kurt and I had a fight and I- I left him there, I turned my back and fucking walked away as he begged me to come back!"
The room was silent as Blaine's loud rasps slowly grew more controlled
"Then whatever happened was right in that parking lot." States Burt
"There's no way Kurt would just let you walk home in such a state." Agrees Carole
"Karofsky's involved." States Finn "I just know it!"
"No-" Blaine coughs "not just Karofsky, Sebastian too."
Blaine couldn't explain why, but he just knew. This whole thing had been planned.
"They could have been working together," speaks Finn "Not sure how, but it's possible, I think?"
"But why?" Questions Carole "What could either boy gain?"
"Us," pipes up Blaine "Sebastian wanted me and Karofsky wanted Kurt."
"How do you know that?"
"Kurt- Kurt didn't tell anyone but me," Blaine lowers his head at Burt's glare "The real reason Karofsky threatened to kill Kurt was because he forced a kiss on him in the locker room."
The room erupted into pure chaos, Carole attempting to hold a deranged looking Burt back as the man poured threat after threat to kill the bastard who dared touch his boy. "I'll unload my shotgun and reload into his god damn balls! I'll-"
Finn paced back and forth wildly, smacking into walls, tables and chairs as failure consumes him "How could I not have known? How could I be so stupid! I'm a terrible brother, I'm a failure!"
Blaine watched the agonizing scene, wanting so badly to fix everything. It's in his nature to be the voice of reason.
But, not right now
"Kurt doesn't have time for this!" All eyes in the room swoop to his own
"Burt, honey," speaks Carole "I'll call the police."
"Go ahead and call, they won't do anything to help the gay kid." Retorts Burt in disgust
"But, isn't protecting people, like their job?" Questions Finn
"They've never looked out for my boy. If we want my son back, we gotta do it ourselves."
The finality in Burt's tone signals that was the end of that discussion.
"Can we even do that?" Asks Finn
"We can and we will." Declares Blaine, head determinedly raised "I won't leave Kurt with either of them."
"Where do you think they are?" Speaks Burt
Without any hesitation or doubts, Blaine responds "Smythe Manor."
Carole stands to attention "I still think we should inform the police. If you boys are as determined as I think you are then I'll stay here and give you about an hour. One hour before I make that call."
...
The drive only lasted fifteen minutes. This whole time Kurt had only been less than a half hour away.
Pulling into the estate was eye popping, the manor was huge. Two cars sat side by side in the vast drive way.
One Sebastian's, the other Dave Karofsky's. Upon closer inspection, clothes, a black vest, white button shirt and black pants were found flung all over the backseats.
If the clothes weren't enough to solidify Kurt's presence, the shine reflecting from the neck tie he'd been wearing and his clearly broken cellphone sealed the deal.
"Oh, son," Burt's eyes study the building, anything to try and keep his mind off what events could have occurred in this car.
Hazel gaze roams the stones, hands pushing and shoving, if his hunch was correct then there should be an opening right about "Here, here's our way in."
The group stares as Blaine opened a hidden passage seemingly from out of nowhere "How-"
"Let's just say, I had lots of free time as a lonely kid. Besides, every rich person has to have secret passages, it's kind of a law."
"We should get one!" Exclaimed Finn "Your a rich Congressman now Burt, we need a secret passage way."
Burt chuckled "I'll be sure to get one along with the moat."
"Sweet!"
The group makes their way inside, rising from a dusty basement to a large mud closet.
"Hold up, rich people have closets just for when their shoes get dirty?"
"Sshh, Finn," whispered Blaine "We're not here for sightseeing."
"You're right, gotta save my little bro. This place is huge, though! How are we going to find Kurt?"
"Split up," answered Burt "It's our best chance. I'll keep looking in this area. Finn, you check the nearby rooms and Blaine you go upstairs.
The three all nod and quietly go separate ways. Blaine tensed as the wooden stairs creaked during his climb. "Alright, where are you?"
The hall opened to several doors, carefully Blaine opened and checked each one. It wasn't till he'd reached a little over halfway that he heard the first sound.
Water. Running water and laughter
Hastily, Blaine makes his way over. A light was on in the same room, several shadows moving.
"Told you it would work,"
Sebastian, Sebastian was talking
"I never should have doubted you."
Karofsky
Growing nearer, Blaine now recognized the room as a bathroom
"It's no problem whether you believed me or not. In the end everything works out! Wouldn't you agree, Kurt?"
"Screw the both of you!"
Kurt, that was his angels voice. Kurt was here! They'd finally found him
"Now, now don't be like that," mocks Sebastian "Your new boyfriend here will take great care of you."
"I'm with Blaine, Karofsky will never be my boyfriend! Now, let me go!"
"Not anymore you're not. Now, you're all mine, Hummel."
Kurt turns a menacing icy glare towards the new blonde "I will NEVER be yours!"
Karofsky moves till he's standing directly in front of Kurt
"Better get used to this, Kurt. This is your life now. You belong to me, now and forever. I'll never let you go and you'll never escape, so get used to being in ropes."
Kurt tugs his bonds and spits in Dave's face "I'm. Not. Yours!"
Sebastian sighs "Dave, do I have permission to shut your little boytoy up?"
"Sure, it'll give us some more peace and quiet, plus I love hearing the sound of his muffled begging."
A ripping sound, a sound that can only be tape as it's stretched and ripped off the roll.
"Time to seal up that pretty little mouth, Kurt."
Rattling and grunts
"And don't worry about, Blaine. I'll be sure to take great care of him while I fuck him."
Kurt's eyes narrow "Don't you da-Mmmmmphhft!"
Blaine had to use his hands to cover his shocked mouth and stifle his outraged cries
Dave, sporting dirty blonde hair washing his hands in the sink. Sebastian sitting a top the closed toilet seat holding a pair of scissors.
And Kurt, his beautiful Kurt was forced to stand in the shower, lips taped shut, arms tied above his head to the screwed in shower bar. The boy was wearing a light grey t-shirt and simple blue jeans. His brunette locks were now a dark red, hair cut short and messy, Kurt's hair was scrambled all over atop his head.
He was so un-Kurt that it broke Blaine's heart. What the fuck were they doing to him?
"I'm really digging this new look, if I didn't know who he was, I wouldn't even be able to tell it's Hummel!"
"Mmmph!"
"Yeah, it wasn't easy finding everything necessary to still make him look good and unrecognizable."
"Mmph mmmt!"
Sebastian takes hold of the captives chin "Just wait till you see your reflection, Kurt! You're in for a huge surprise."
Beneath his gag, Kurt growls
Blaine glares daggers that if looks could kill, those two would be dead. Feeling slight footsteps growing near he mimes with his hands to Burt and Finn and mouthed his words.
Kurt's in there, he's not alone
Finn reveals a lacrosse stick, mouthing four words of his own "Leave it to me," before rushing into the bathroom "Get away from my brother assholes!"
"Mmmmiiinnn!"
"The fuck did you come from, Hudson?"
Blaine and Burt rush inside to help, both taking on Sebastian, leaving Karofsky to Finn
"What the hell do you think you're doing to my son?" Growls Burt, throwing punches that rarely hit
"Just preparing him for his all expenses paid life abroad with his new master." Laughs Sebastian, only he isn't laughing long once he received a hard kick to the lower gut.
"Ow, damn sexy that hurt, didn't know you had that in you." Grunts Sebastian in pain, clutching his possibly internally bleeding stomach.
Blaine lowers his right leg "I'm full of surprises."
Finn wrenches Karofskys head from the toilet bowl and deposits him next to the downed Sebastian "Stay there and don't you dare fucking move."
Everyone rushed to Kurt's side, Burt starting to untie the ropes, Blaine removing the gag and Finn analyzing his brothers body for any possible injuries.
"Are you ok, Kurt?"
Before Kurt can answer his fathers request the teen is pulled into his boyfriends tight embrace "Blaine,"
Tears cascading down pale cheeks, body shaking uncontrollably "Kurt, I'm- I'm so sorry for everything that happened last night! I never should have done any of it and I'm so fucking stupid and-"
Blaine's silenced by Kurt's strawberry chapstick lips tenderly over his own. The two passionately kissing before a grunt from Burt forces the boys apart.
"They grabbed me while I was trying to get to Blaine. Sebastian said with me out of the way, Blaine was all his. But, I knew you'd come for me." Kurt smiles towards his family "Thank you,"
It's now Burt and Finn's turn to pull the boy into a hug, Blaine standing awkwardly nearby before he too is pulled in.
The sweet moment is cherished, nothing seems to break it. Not the two disgruntled kidnappers, not the still running sink water, not the approaching sirens. No, this could never be-
"Sweet gaga, what the hell did they do to my hair?!"
Hope you all enjoyed this story! It's just a random idea that came to me and seriously wouldn't leave until I wrote it down.
