"Buck, you're in no condition to go look for Christopher by yourself" she argued into the phone, "I'm coming down there". She hung up the phone before he had time to argue back with her. She ran to Sue's office, begging in her heart that her boss would understand why she needed to go there and let her.

"I need to go to the VA hospital Sue, please" she begged while storming into the office, her phone still in hand. She could hear the panicked tone of her voice, and knew that her hectic cutting to the case and storming in would probably alarm the 911 office manager, but right now she needed to go find Buck.

"Well hello to you as well Maddie" Sue smiled, "why don't you sit down, take a deep calming breath, and tell me what happened". Sue was always strong doing emergencies, 'guess that's what I have now' Maddie thought to herself annoyed and panicked. She didn't sit, just started going back and forth in the small office, was it getting smaller? No she was panicking, 'guess it's always easier when it's someone else's emergency' Maddie thought.

"Please Sue, I don't have time. I need… I need… Oh God" Maddie cried, not looking at Sue and getting more panicky every second. It was getting harder to breathe, her chest felt tight, her pulse racing, the room felt like it was spinning, the walls creeping in; She needed to get out of here, needed to go to the VA hospital; "Buck" Maddie breathed out, before collapsing to the floor unconscious.

"MADDIE" Sue yelled even more alarmed now. What in the world was going on; One minute everything had been calming down after the tsunami, the next Maddie was storming through her office door, begging in a panic to be allowed to go to the VA hospital and now Maddie was unconscious.

"Sue, what's…" Josh didn't finish his sentence, walking into the office, seeing Sue on the floor shaking an unconscious Maddie; "What happened?" he asked alarmed, knowing that it was the dumbest he could do know, so instead shifting back to his professional role like Sue seemed to have done; Afterall he had come in here, do to her yelling Maddie's name, so he knew she had been panicked at one point as well. "What do you need?" he asked Sue.

"A bottle of water, and then I need you to go make sure that everything is running smoothly, while I take care of Maddie" Sue told him, never removing her eyes from Maddie, scanning Maddie for any visible injuries. Josh saw the fear in Sue's eyes, but didn't say anything, just went to follow her orders.

The phone on her desk was ringing, but Sue couldn't take it at the moment, busy with what was happening to Maddie, she just had to call whomever it was back later. Josh came back with the water;

"Anything else you need you just call" Josh said before leaving the office, praying to God Maddie would be okay, trusting Sue to have Maddie's back.

When Maddie opened her eyes she was on the floor, laying on her side. It took her only moments to recollect what had happened and she jolted up quickly, a little too quickly, the room started spinning again and she wobbled slightly, but Sue caught her before she fell and guided her to sit in a chair.

"How are you feeling?" Sue asked concerned, handing Maddie the water and watching to make sure Maddie took a sip, before walking to her chair to sit across from Maddie.

"Okay I guess" Maddie shrugged. "A little embarrassed maybe", mastering to send Sue a small nervous and apologetic smile.

"Nothing you need to feel embarrassed about, but I am a little concerned about you. What happened Maddie? And don't say nothing, cause people don't have panic attacks for no reason" Sue smiled varm yet still sternly, leaving no place to debate. Maddie sighted in defeat, knowing she owed the office manager an explanation, even though she didn't feel like now was the time, but Sue knew her too well by now.

"I got a call" Maddie started, the tears starting to form in her eyes, she continued: "Buck was at the piers when the tsunami hit". Maddie was crying now, unable to continue, but Sue started to understand, or at least she thought she was, she would need Maddie to confirm.

"He is at the VA hospital isn't he?" Sue asked in a warm, motherly tone.

"Yes" Maddie cried even harder, trying to collect herself by focusing on the bottle of water she was still holding.

"All right" Sue said; "When you are ready I will have Josh drive you down there" Sue smiled at Maddie.

"Thank you" Maddie cried, still managing to send Sue a small grateful smile.

Okay, then I will go and Inform Josh. Are you fine to be left alone for a short moment?" Sue asked concerned, and slightly insecure if maybe Maddie needed her in here more right now than to go and inform Josh.

"Yes" Maddie said, drying her eyes and seaming to regain some of her posture.

"Okay then. I will be back in just a few minutes" Sue said while walking out of the office to find Josh, more calm now that it seemed Maddie would be okay. 10 minutes later Josh and Maddie walk out of the call center, headed for Josh's car so they could drive to the VA hospital and Buck.

A/N: Hope you all enjoyed this oneshot. This is my first attempt on a oneshot, and is thinking of maybe doing a sequel titled 'Between the two of us' which will be a heart to heart conversation between Buck and Maddie after she arrives at the VA hospital, but would love to hear your thoughts on this, as well as on this oneshot.
