I had homework today so this chapter will be short-ish.
Again, Shoutout to Fanficgurl who had a lot of these ideas.
Enjoy!

Marinette's hands were shaking and sweaty when she shook with Adrien. Inside Marinette's mind she couldn't process the fact that even if she won, Adrien might not even come back with her. Heck, she might not even make it back alive. Glancing at the people before her, She took her last glimpse of District 14 and peeled her eyes away. Some people dressed in white, Peacekeepers, some people called them, dragged her away and into a car. Nothing peaceful-looking about them though. The car drove her and Adrien to their houses and shut them into their rooms. Pacing around nervously, Marinette replayed what just happened. She was being sent to almost doom. Even worse, the person she cared about the most is also coming. Only one can win. Well, maybe 2 but who knows what will happen.
"Tikki, I'm being sent to the Games!" Marinette says, finally letting her tears escape her eyes.
"I'm so sorry Marinette! But..." Tikki trails off.
"But?" Marinette asks, looking at her hopefully.
"Marinette, I never wanted to tell you this, but a couple of my past owners were sent to the Games and never made it out of the arena alive." Tikki explains sadly. "But they let you take a token! What do you want to take?" Tikki says, trying to cheer up Marinette, who looked awfully pale and red at the same time.
"I'm taking my Miraculous. I'm gonna need your help in the arena. I might need to transform." Marinette states, with no emotion found in her face or her voice.
"What about your identity?" Tikki asks, even though the Kwami already knew the answer.
"I don't care. What other choice do I have? I could die." Marinette tells her, fingering her earrings.
Suddenly her parents rush in, crying. They freeze when they see Tikki, their tear-strained faces unreadable.
"Marinette, what is that floating creature?" Tom asks, and Marinette bites her lip.
Might as well get the news over with. Marinette thinks.
"Mom, dad, I need to tell you something." Marinette sits down and her parents copy her, sitting down on the chaise. "This is a kwami. Her name is Tikki. Kwami's give powers to those who wear Miraculouses." Marinette's parents' eyes widen, but they say nothing. "Tikki is the Ladybug Kwami, and my Miraculous are these earrings. Basically, I'm Ladybug." Marinette finishes and gestures to her earrings.
"Marinette?" Sabine asks, and Marinette looks up.
"Are you mad? I mean, I kept a huge secret from you and the reason I'm telling you this is because I might need to transform in the arena, and I don't want you getting akumatized." Marinette says quickly.
"Marinette, we're not mad. We're sad to see you go, but you have to promise you try your hardest to come back. Please. We are proud to call you our daughter, and not because you're Ladybug, but because you are our Marinette." Tom says, and Marinette cries as she pulls them into a hug. A tight one, like she was holding onto them like if she let go, she might never see them again. Which was true, in this case. Her eyes were red and puffy, but her face showed determination.
"I promise I will try my hardest to come back." She says, wiping her eyes. Then the Peacekeepers came in and dragged her parents out and Alya came barging in.
"Why did it have to be you?" Alya says, eyes red from crying. Marinette deflates.
"I didn't try to get picked." Marinette tries to smile.
"Please Marinette. Please come home." Alya begs, and Marinette nods.
"I don't know about fighting Adrien." She says, rubbing her elbows and looking away.
"Then make an alliance." Alya firmly states, and Marinette nods again.
"Alya, I need you to watch the Games, no matter what. I need to know you are here, supporting me and seeing everything I do."
"Always."
"Good. I will show you a surprise. No, I will not tell you now, but just watch it." Alya looked confused. Marinette gave her the Miracle Box she had hidden. "You will understand what this is when you watch the Games. You are the most worthy person who deserves it. If I don't make it back, please guard this with you life. This is my last request." Alya nods, determined. The Peacekeepers came back and took Alya away, even though Alya tried to stay. No one else came in, and Marinette was okay with that. She couldn't watch her friends go into endless turmoil because of her. More Peacekeepers came in and escorted her to a train.
Here goes nothing and everything.

Adrien held his head in his hands. He might die. The word reverberated through his head.
Die...die...die...I might die. I'm only 14 and I might die. Adrien thinks.
Sitting on his bed, he was so focused in thought he didn't even know that his father came in until he sat down next to him. His father was crying, for the second time.
"Adrien, I lost you mother a year ago. I can't lose you. I don't know if I can stay sane if you go." His father hoarsely says. Adrien wraps his arms around him.
"I don't want to die." Adrien says, curling up like a child with his father still clinging onto him.
"Nobody want you to. You don't have to die. Just come back. Come back alive." Gabriel says tensely, hugging his again. Adrien and Gabriel stayed like that for the rest of his father's time. Nino trudged in.
"You don't deserve being sent off. What was the Capitol thinking? The Hunger Games. Idiots." Nino mutters.
"I'm gonna miss you." Adrien says, smiling sadly.
"Don't." Nino insists. "Don't act like you won't see me again. Because you will. I've seen you fence. Get your hands on a sword, and you will be unstoppable. I know you will come back." Nino continues.
"I'll try my best." Adrien says, looking down. Nino pulls him into a hug, and Adrien managed to wrap his arms around his best friend. A couple of Peacekeepers came in and took him away. Then they came back and led him to a train, which made everything more real. Adrien had never been violent, unless he was fighting akumas, and even then he had never seen blood.
If I die, then I hope it will be quick. Was the last thing he thought before stepping onto the train.
