It was a beautiful, sunny day at the city of Bugdom. It took place after the day at the funeral since Monarch's death.
At Bennett's Bar, Rosie was dining with her mother, Joanna and Josie, her twin sister. Joanna and Josie had cheered up Rosie from thinking about how she lost her husband, Monarch, too much.
"Thanks, Josie, and mother," Rosie said as she wiped her tears away.
"You're welcome, baby. We'll find you an another husband," Joanna said as she soothed Rosie's hair.
"Yeah, sis! How about that idea?" Josie agreed with a smile.
Sadly, Rosie shuddered.
"What if... but what if my another husband died, like Monarch?" she asked as she tried to hold back tears.
Just then, there was a ferocious, frightful roar. The spiders turned, including the other bugs. It was a rhino beetle! Its trainer, the cockroach, was pulling the rhino beetle with his rope, and whipping at it.
"Come ON, you wild animal! Get back here!" the cockroach yelled, but the rhino beetle bucked, and roared, swinging his legs in pain.
The bugs screamed as they ran around the restaurant.
"A RHINOCEROS BEETLE!" one bug panicked.
"It's dangerous!" the other shouted.
"Oh, no! It's coming towards us! Run!" Joanna yelled, as she grabbed the hands of Josie and Rosie, and ran out of the restaurant bar.
The rhino beetle threw the cockroach from the rope he was tied by, and it ran away.
Joanna, Josie and Rosie hid quickly into their house. They saw a rhino beetle running, and stopping frightfully. Suddenly, a cockroach caught him again!
"Get over here, you SAVAGE! Listen to me!" he screamed angrily.
The rhino beetle bucked and reared as he kicked the cockroach with his hind legs. Frowning, the cockroach threw the whip to the ground, and stomped off, saying,
"This is the worst day of me training a rhinoceros beetle! I've had it; I'M GONNA BE FIRED FROM MY JOB!"
As Joanna, Josie and Rosie scooted up the window, they saw the rhino beetle whimpering. Rosie came up with a clever idea, and she walked out of the house.
"Rosie, wait!" Joanna hissed with fear.
"You can't! It's too dangerous!" Josie agreed in a whisper.
Rosie approached to the rhino beetle, who snarled, as if to know that she was about to act like his trainer.
"It's okay, it's okay! I won't hurt you," Rosie insisted in comfort.
In a matter of seconds, the rhino beetle stopped snarling, and shaking. It went close to her, and gave Rosie a small nudge, sniffing her hand she showed it. With a smile, Rosie conjured some spider web from her bulgy abdomen, and puts them into the rhino beetle's wounds, as if to help heal them. After doing so, she sweetly said,
"Good boy. My name's Rosie; what's your name?"
Blushing, the male rhino beetle thought for a moment, and answered in a deep voice,
"Dim."
She thought for a moment with confusion, Dim closed his eyes.
"Dim, that's a nice name! I like it," Rosie said with a smile.
Then, she puts her hand on Dim's horn. Blushing again, he opened his eyes, feeling Rosie's hand touch his horn. And for now, Dim beamed a smile.
"Anyway, Dim, would you like to see my family?" Rosie asked.
Dim nodded for a moment, but said as he shook a little,
"Wha~ what if they don't like me?"
"Don't worry, Dim. It's going to be okay! I'll let them know," Rosie replied as she reassured him.
Dim nodded, and followed Rosie to Joanna and Josie.
As Rosie led Dim in the house, Joanna and Josie yelped as they held onto each other.
"Rosie! What did I tell you about the dangerous rhinoceros beetle?!" Joanna shrieked a little.
"Get that thing away from us!" Josie urged.
Dim felt startled, and began shaking as he whimpered. Rosie sadly insisted,
"Mom! Josie! You have to understand, I have to do this, and now he is tamed. I promised the rhinoceros beetle that he won't hurt us."
Joanna and Josie thought for a moment, as Rosie sighed heavily, reassuring Dim.
"Okay, so what did you name him after that?" Josie asked.
"Oh, his name is Dim," Rosie responded sweetly.
"Right, so his name means bright, right?" Joanna asked.
"That's correct, mother. It means that," Rosie said,
"So, can he stay with us?"
Joanna and Josie smiled at that question Rosie asked, and nodded.
"Sure, thing, sweetheart!" Joanna said.
"How lovely is that idea," Josie said happily.
Rosie squealed happily, and Dim chuckled as they embraced each other. It felt like a bliss, and romance.
Much, much later...
It was night, and it was getting late. Rosie bid her mother and twin sister goodnight, and led Dim into her room. Rosie laid in her bedside, and Dim did the same, as if she gave him space.
"Dim, before we go to sleep, I need to tell you something about my past," Rosie said softly.
"Sure thing, Rosie. I started mine when I was separated from my colony, who was killed by an unexpected termite. So, one of the bugs adopted me as a trainer, but I wasn't sure if I could agree or disagree. What's yours?" Dim said.
"It all started, when my husband and I were on a date," Rosie responded.
"Oh, what's his name?" he asked.
"Monarch," she answered.
*~(First Flashback)~*
Rosie and Monarch were at Bennett's Bar restaurant in the city of Bugdom for a date.
"So, Rosie, my lady, do tell me how many times you were married," Monarch said with a smile.
"Oh, Monarch, I was married eleven times." Rosie replied with a sweet smile.
"Now it's twelve," Monarch chuckled, and took out a jewelry box, and opened it, showing the ring to Rosie.
She squealed at the ring while seeing it sparkle, and glitter.
"Rosie, will you marry me?" he asked.
Smiling tearfully, Rosie said,
"Yes!"
Monarch smiled, and puts the ring on Rosie's finger. Then, the two spiders leaned a kiss. All the bugs watched in awe as they smiled while seeing Rosie and Monarch become husband and wife.
*~(Second Flashback)~*
One day, a sky was dark for misery. The dark clouds were surrounding the sky through the fog. Rosie rushed to her house, gathered by a lot of her family members outside.
Rosie knocked on the door, and her brother, Reginald, opened it, with a sad look on his face.
"How is Monarch, is he okay?" she asked.
Reginald shook his head and said,
"I'm so sorry, Rosie, your husband's life is ending. You have to be near him with Mother and Josie right now before he leaves the world of Bugdom."
Hearing what her brother said in the sad news, Rosie began whimpering as she shedded tears. How can she lose eleven husbands, and now her twelfth husband? First, she lost her father, and now, her beloved husband.
Reginald lead Rosie into her mother's room, where Joanna and Josie was at the bedside. Monarch was wheezing very badly. He was very sick, due to illness. Rosie held Monarch's hand, squeezing it.
"Monarch, please, don't go, I need you!" she cried as tears began to fall.
Monarch coughed softly. Knowing that he would at least get to see her for the one last time, Monarch nuzzled her forehead, smoothing her cheeks with his hands. Rosie kissed him on the forehead.
"Rosie... I~ I love you..." Monarch finally said.
"I love you, too, Monarch! Oh, Monarch, please stay with me! Don't leave me; not yet," Rosie said between sobs.
Monarch used his last strength to hug and kiss Rosie at the time.
"Goodbye, dear... I love you..." he said softly.
With a final sigh, Monarch died at her gaze, laying unconscious on bed. Rosie embraced him and cried. Josie embraced her mother as she mourned the loss of her twin sister's husband's death. Joanna hugged her daughter tight in comfort, holding back tears. Reginald bowed his head in respect as he got over to Rosie, putting a hand on his sister's shoulder, in comfort.
For now, her husband, is lost.
*~(End of Flashback)~*
After telling the story of her past, Rosie covered her mouth with her hands and wept. Dim sadly sighed, and puts a foot on her, soothing her as he said,
"There, there, I'm still here. I'm sorry for your loss, too."
"Really?" Rosie sobbed as she shedded tears.
"Yes, and I'd be happy to be your husband, no matter how much I love you; since you're married twelve times, and now for the thirteenth time," Dim responded, kissing her cheek.
Rosie blushed, and smiled. Dim chuckled as he nuzzled her lovingly.
"All right, Dim, let's get some sleep; big day tomorrow. Goodnight!" Rosie said sweetly as she stopped crying, and started to yawn.
"Goodnight, Rosie," Dim replied, yawning as he rubbed his eyes.
Then, they all leaned a true love's kiss. Romance had been already risen through their bodies, as Rosie and Dim felt the love. Seconds later, they closed their eyes and fell asleep. While sleeping, Dim was smoothing Rosie's abdomen, snoring softly. Rosie was rubbing Dim's foot with his hand while smoothing it, moaning softly in her sleep.
