Just a short little one shot because it wouldn't leave me alone.

The world came back to Tori slowly and she cracked open a single eyelid. The bright light that met her blurry vision caused her to quickly shut it again and groan pathetically. She felt terrible. Her head was pounding, and her mouth was dry. Her stomach rumbled ominously. She dropped a hand to rub at her complaining stomach and froze, realizing that she was touching bare skin. What the heck happened to her shirt? She reached up and sighed when she still had her bra. She carefully sat up and whined at the stabbing pain in her head. What happened last night? Oh, right, there was a party. She wasn't fond of the idea of attending, but Andre invited her. He promised he would look after her and it would be fun. The rest of the gang would be there too so it wasn't like he was the only one she would know.

There was a lot of drinking, which she didn't really do but she seemed to have got into it, and dancing, which was something she loved to do, and then what? There was a foggy haze over the rest of the night past that. She felt so lost she could have forgotten her name. She lifted the soft comforter and saw that she was wearing sweats that definitely weren't hers. So whose were they? She glanced around and realized that she was in an unfamiliar room on an equally unfamiliar, but very comfy, bed. Oh no, did she…? With whom, though? Memories played back of kisses and touches. Soft. Gentle. Not a guy's hands. And when she reciprocated, the body under her hands wasn't a guy's either. She blushed at the realization.

"Oh my god," she mumbled to herself. That was all she could remember. The stranger she ended up in bed with was a girl.

"Oh my god," she whined next, pushing her mussed hair out of her face. She found her glasses on the bedside table and shoved them on. Straight-laced, bookworm, stick in the mud Tori Vega just enjoyed herself at a party and ended up in bed with a girl.

"Yeah, that's what you said last night too," a gruff voice spoke up next to her. It was rough from sleep but still conveyed ease. She jumped and turned to see that the mess of bundled up comforter next to her was actually her bed partner. Jade West rolled over and regarded her with sleepy eyes, a pierced brow lifting at her shocked expression. Tori couldn't believe her eyes. Yes, Jade hung out with the same group she did, but she was virtually untouchable. Every guy tried once she had broken up with Beck. It seemed like she wasn't interested in anyone. Well, until now. Tori's heart raced at the thought.

"What?" Jade questioned, eyes flicking over Tori who slowly shrank under the covers.

"I…you…how?" was all she could manage. Jade smiled and reached out to pull at the covers Tori hid behind.

"Oh, so now you're shy? You were the one all over me. I don't think you have anything to hide. I've seen it all at this point," she teased, her hand dropping lazily to Tori's lap when she couldn't get her out of her protective cocoon.

"I don't…remember what happened. How…?" Tori continued to stammer.

"How did we end up here? I'm not entirely sure," Jade answered, thoughtful.

"So, you don't remember either?" Tori asked.

"I didn't say that," Jade denied. Tori whined and dropped the comforter in her frustration. Jade's eyes took her in, and she smiled softly, her gaze landing on the mark she left on her tan, slender, neck. Her searching gaze made Tori wonder what state of dress Jade was in. Her arm up to her shoulder was bare.

"At first you were stuffy, but once Andre got you to accept a few drinks you let loose. For a lightweight I'm surprised you didn't hurl after everything you drank," Jade began, laughing at Tori's rising embarrassment.

"I'm afraid to ask what happened next," she muttered.

"Good thing you don't have to. I'll tell you," Jade said, pushing herself up to sit. The comforter surrounding her fell to reveal pale skin. Bare, pale skin covered in hickies that scattered across her collarbone, shoulders, and neck. Tori felt hot at the sight of them. She pushed aside some of the covers and Jade took it as her asking to cover herself, so she did, laughing as she tucked it under her arms to hold it in place.

"You insisted on showing me your dance moves," Jade went on.

"Oh no," Tori groaned.

"Oh yes. You were fine dancing on your own until you got excited over some pop song and wanted me to join you," Jade recalled. Tori was absolutely mortified now.

"You were surprisingly good," Jade mumbled, looking down briefly before meeting Tori's eyes.

"At least I don't have to worry about making myself look stupid," Tori said, relieved. Jade's sudden laugh made her hesitate.

"Oh, that came right after. Some guy tried to get between us, so that he could join his girlfriend, but you somehow interpreted it as him trying to take me from you," Jade got out between laughs. Tori dropped her face in her hands.

"He was so confused, but it was hilarious watching you valiantly hold a one-sided argument with this guy that just wanted to pass through. Poor dude never even saw the drink flying at him until it was too late," Jade continued. Tori fell back in the bed with a loud exasperated groan and pulled the covers over her. Jade pulled them down, and suddenly, she was right there gazing down at her.

"After that I stepped in to save you and give you a change of clothes. Yours were caught in the crossfire," Jade told her.

"Wait, you gave me clothes from a stranger's house?" Tori inquired. Jade laughed again and shook her head.

"Stranger? The party was at my place, you dingus. Or do you not remember that either?" Jade reminded her. Tori's brows arched in surprise. So this was Jade's room. And Jade's bed.

"Oh," she got out.

"Anyway, while I was trying to dress you, you kept running your mouth. You cussed out the guy and went on this long rant about how women should be treated better and how much you dislike guys that assume things. And then…." Jade explained, pausing so suddenly Tori looked up at her. She was staring back with stormy dark eyes.

"What did I say?" Tori whispered, caught in the look Jade was giving her.

"You pretty much confessed to liking me. You told me that you would never do those things. You told me that you would treat me right. You would always be there for me and never once think of cheating on me because you would feel so lucky to have me. You really have a way with words, Vega," Jade complimented, eyes studying her features. Tori bit her lip, wondering how she managed to get Jade in bed. Drunk Tori seemed to have all the moves sober Tori lacked. It couldn't possibly have been her confession, could it? And if so, then that would mean that Jade must have had some level of attraction to her too.

"And then?" Tori whispered. Jade smirked.

"There was no point to finish dressing you," she answered, voice low. Tori shivered at the tone. So maybe the confession had something to do with it.

"So…I was good?" Tori shyly asked.

"I'm still here, aren't I?" Jade responded, finally releasing Tori from her stare. She flopped on her back and stretched out like a cat, elegant and relaxed. With everything Jade told her, a newfound bravery settled in and so she asked the next question without thought.

"How come I'm still wearing pants?" she wondered. Jade's smirk curled slyly.

"You couldn't wait," she answered, succinct. Tori blushed.

"Oh. And you are…?" she asked next.

"Naked. You wouldn't have it any other way," Jade replied.

"Oh," Tori stated, feeling embarrassed again. Jade regarded her a moment then reached over to turn her face by her chin.

"You know, drunk Tori isn't someone else. She's a side of you that only comes out when you aren't worrying over everything. You can let her out without the help of booze," she assured her. Tori looked away, unsure. Jade sighed and propped herself up so that she could lean over Tori.

"You can. I'll help you, if you let me," she offered. Tori looked up at her and smiled, small and tentative.

"Really?" she checked.

"Yeah. But first, food. I'm starving after last night," Jade said, causing Tori to blush again at the reminder of their activities. Jade climbed out of bed and looked for some casual clothes to wear while Tori tried to keep her eyes on everything but Jade's nude form. She only glanced once and quickly looked away, going red at the scratches that stood out down her back. She really was someone else when she was drunk.

"You can borrow something of mine until your clothes are washed. They'll probably be done after breakfast," Jade said, running her hands through her hair. It amazed Tori that she didn't have to do much for the dark locks to fall back into place. Jade's beauty was effortless.

"Closet and dresser are over there," she added, leaving the room. Once Tori was sure Jade was gone, she got out of bed and crossed the room quickly. She looked for a simple comfortable shirt and found a band shirt that was well-worn. She pulled it on and smiled at the scent that clung to it. Like Jade herself was hugging her. Now that she was presentable, she left the room to see where Jade went. She passed a few people who stayed and were now asleep on various furniture or even splayed out on the floor. She made her way through to the kitchen where Jade was busy digging through the fridge.

"Not enough here for everyone. Want to head out for something?" Jade asked, hearing her enter. She turned around with a bottle of water in each hand.

"Oh, uh, sure?" Tori managed to reply, wringing her hands. Jade shut the fridge and walked over to set the water to the side. She stopped Tori's hands and backed her into the counter. Tori held her breath, apprehensive.

"Relax," Jade soothed, thumbs massaging her palms. She felt Tori's body unwind and then leaned in to kiss her, slow and steady.

"A girl can't even ask you out on a date without you getting all squirrely," she mumbled against Tori's lips. She pulled away to stare at Jade.

"A date?" she repeated.

"Yeah. I mean, if you want. I'm partial to coffee dates and breakfast sounds good right about now," Jade replied with an easy shrug. Tori smiled.

"Yeah, it does," she agreed. Jade gave her a once over and smirked, tugging at the shirt she wore.

"This can stay, but let's find you some pants. Here, drink some water," she suggested, handing Tori a water bottle and grabbing her own before linking their free hands and leading her back to the room. They each took time in the bathroom then found a pair of pants in a matter of minutes. They were just about to leave the room when Tori stopped her, taking her by the hand. Jade turned around, expression questioning. Before Tori could overthink it, she pulled Jade against her and kissed her. Jade reciprocated almost instantly, smiling against her lips.

"Now you're getting it," she appraised, gaining a happy smile from Tori.

"Ready to go? I want to get out of here before we have unwanted company," Jade said, taking Tori by the hand. Together, they snuck through the house and out the door. Both wore smiles, Jade's more reserved than Tori's grin. Who would have thought Jade West would return her feelings? Tori was never really into parties that involved drinking, but she had to remember to thank Andre for inviting her to this one.
