Hmm...let's go with it!

"Oh no!"

Misaki slapped on her forehead as the phone from another hand of her was about to fall on the floor. Thankfully, the blunette caught it, saving it from getting broken and looked at the blank face of the lady. Her daughter was hugging her, panicked and confused. Before a while, they'd heard the recording on Daichi's phone. The dwarf redhead had done a splendid job by contacting Kane, Salima, Tala, Julia and Max and they all had come to Kai's house for letting his family members know the truths, not even hiding the identity of his girlfriend. Ever since Misaki had learnt all of them, she was struggling to believe her own ears. Tiredly, she slumped on the coach as the girls rushed to her aid.

"My God!" Misaki breathed, "I…still…cannot believe this!"

"We also had a lot of problems to believe, Mrs. Hiwatari…." Julia sat beside her, "That Kai has an affair with the daughter of a murderer!"

"Ahem…Julia," The taller redhead calmly opposed, "Don't drag Hilary here. She has no fault."

"I agree with Mr. Valkov," Daichi nodded, "Madam Hilary is one of the sweetest, kindest and most innocent women in this world. You must have watched those parts of the tape where Madam Hilary bravely confronted her own father though it doesn't contain the full scene. Sometimes, she behaves quite wild and bossy with me but that is not a big deal, you know. Boss strictly forbade me to inform Madam Hilary about his deeds. But when Mr. Granger got murdered brutally in the hands of the pet terrorists of boss and he framed all you including Mr. Hiwatari as the prime suspect in the case, I just really couldn't stop myself from exposing him."

After a few seconds of pause, he continued, "Only at the request of Madam Hilary, I've come here to prove Mr. Hiwatari innocent. Madam Hilary is just like my elder sister. I cannot see her getting hurt physically or mentally or emotionally. Nor can I see any bright student and an ideal leader who has so much potential to do politics in national sectors getting ruined so soon only because of someone's heinous conspiracies. Even if it means to betray with my master, I'll do it only for the sake of justice and the welfare of Madam Hilary."

"You are not a betrayer, Daichi," Tala patted his neck, "The person who betrays himself is a betrayer. But you did not deceive yourself. You have been successful to see the light finally. You should be proud of yourself."

"But Mr. Tachibana may suspect you because the recording is now in all our phones," Kane suggested, "Remove it."

"Sure." Daichi took his phone and deleted the video with his swift fingers, heaving a sigh of relief.

"But…the question is," The blonde asked, "Where's Kai? Why isn't he at his home? Where has he gone?"

"It's all my fault…." Misaki wept, burying her face as the girls comforted her, "I told him so many ill words and refused to see his face. He yearned before me again and again only to say that he was innocent but I didn't pay any heed to a single word of him! I failed as a mother, my children, I failed as a mother!"

"There's no profit to mourn now, Mrs. Hiwatari," Tala took a breath, "Calm down, you did nothing intentionally. It is high time to ensure the security of Kai. Since Mr. Tachibana has got to know that Kai is the son of Martyr Susumu Hiwatari and his daughter is in love with him, Kai's life is in danger. For ensuring his security, we have to go in search of him. Right now!"

"Let us accompany you too, Tala." Julia stood up, "Going alone is not safe for you."

"No, we'll be okay," The redhead enfolded her shoulders softly, yet, protectively, "You stay here, with Mrs. Hiwatari. Nobody will be able to do any single harm to you. So, no worries."

Julia blushed in the presence of her friends and the family members of one of them, at this move of her boyfriend. In embarrassment, she forgot to tell him that she was worried about Tala more than herself. Reading her eyes perfectly and giving her an assuring smile, Tala gestured Kane, Max and Daichi. Together, they four were about to get out of the house but before it, their feet stopped; they saw the dual-haired half-Russian calmly standing before them in his usual posture. So many storms had gone through him but he was still patient and cool. The girls left the seats and rushed to the door, seeing him as the boys smiled, getting relieved.

"Thank God you're alive and fine!" Max almost hugged him, "Do you know how worried we all were?!"

"Relax, Maxie…." Patting his back comfortably, Kai freed himself from the hug and entered his house. Hurrying to him, his mother spoke, "Kai! Forgive me, my son! I'm sorry!"

"Huh?" Baffled, the Russian looked at the raven-haired woman.

"I know that you didn't commit the murder of Tyson," Misaki sniffed, holding his arms, "My son can never be a murderer. Daichi has told and informed us everything. Please, return the pistol. We don't need it anymore."

"I've done it already," Kai held the shoulders of his mother, "Mom, my safety and security aren't more important than your happiness and relief."

"My son…." Misaki pulled the dual-haired in an embrace, stroking his head affectionately just like she had used to do in Kai's childhood. The son did not protest, enjoying the love-filled touches of his mother which was cooling the maelstroms inside his brain for the second time on that day. All his friends huffed, thinking everything became alright.

"Mom…" Breaking the embrace, Kai respired, "I want to speak a truth."

"No need," Misaki shook her head, "We all know it already."

Kai frowned as all his classmates laughed. Making him sit on the sofa, Misaki spoke, "Kai, I have no problem in your affair with Hilary. If someone is guilty, it is her father, not Hilary. She is such a sweet soul, unlike her father. Never hurt her, Kai. Always keep her happy."

Staring with disbelief at his mother for a few seconds, the VP gave a small smile and nodded as the young people in the living-room cheered, "Yay!"

"Congratulations, man." Tala lightly punched Kai's shoulder.

"Now now…." Kane demanded, "Give us treat!"

"Don't worry about that," Misaki chortled, "Today, you are not going anywhere without having dinner."

Another exultation was heard by the students, deafening the ears of the vice-president who pressed his palms on his ears, screwing his brows with a fake grumpy expression on his face. Stroking his stomach, the dwarf redhead asked, "Well, I became very tired by coming here, gathering all you guys and giving you the recording. So…may I join the dinner too?"

"Why not?" Kai's mother enthusiastically nodded, "You wait here, let me cook meals for you. Ayaka, help me a bit, please."

"Mrs. Hiwatari!" Salima halted, "We are also coming."

"Yeah!" Julia was the second, "Don't refuse us, please!"

"Okay," Misaki sneered, "Since you are wanting it, you both may come to help me too!"

"Yay!" Gesturing mischievously at Kane and Tala, Salima and Julia followed the raven-haired lady to the kitchen. The blunette and the Russian redhead were eager to taste the foods cooked by their girlfriends after a long time.

"Poor Kai…" Tala tittered, "Hasn't got a single chance to get his stomach calm with the foods cooked by his girlfriend yet."

'The person who can calm my heart, rinsing all the dirt and worries….' Gently, Kai leaned against the headboard of his sofa, closing his eyes, 'Doesn't need to do anything else for me…'

In the next morning, everything was going as usual in Hiwatari residence. Kai and Ayaka had already been out for their respective institutions. Misaki was in a quite jolly mood, proud to meet all Kai's friends once again and relieved to know that they would always be by his side, let the world turn against. While washing the dishes in kitchen, she was humming the lyrics of a folk song regarding the birth and death of a human being. Her nerves were quite strong in comparison with other ladies of her age group. After all, she was the wife of a martyr and the mother of a young political student leader. Her husband had always been on the way of truth, so was her son now.

The rhythm was cut as the doorbell rang. Keeping the unwashed dishes in the sink, the raven-haired woman reached the door and opened it. Being a surprise, Hachiro Tachibana himself was standing there, his car parked outside. At his sight, a bead of poison dropped in the honey-filled heart of the woman; she felt as if someone had put fire on her head. Seeing the murder of her husband and the archenemy of her son, she wished to kill him right then but struggling much, she calmed herself. With shocked eyes, she asked, "Mr. Tachibana?!"

"So, you've recognized me?" Hachiro's smile was formal more than being hearty.

"Why won't I recognize the person?" Misaki simpered bitterly, "Who has made me wear the attires of a widow? Anyways, what do you want this time?"

"There goes a proverb in politics, Mrs. Hiwatari," Without any courtesy or permission, Hachiro strode in, "If you haven't forgotten the pain of losing your husband yet, you must not want the same pain of losing your son now. Am I right?"

"What do you want to say?" The raven-haired woman glared at the politician.

"If Kai doesn't step away from the life of my daughter," Hachiro retorted, "I myself will remove him forever from this world."

"Mr. Tachibana," Misaki retorted, "If the pain of losing a son and that of losing a daughter is equal, you also get prepared to shed tears in losing your child."

"What the hell will you do?" The brunette growled, "Will you kill my Hilary?"

"Neither I am a murderer like you, nor can I commit a sin like murdering an angel like Hilary ever," Kai's mother sniggered, "But Hilary herself will step away from your life and house if you don't stop your misdeeds and crimes. Trust me, it will be more than enough for emptying your heart forever."

"I'll erase the existence of Kai from the heart of my daughter!" Hachiro seethed.

"But I will never let the name of Hilary get erased from the heart of my Kai," Misaki blurted, "Now you can go!"

Hissing, the brown-haired man glared at the lady. Pointing at the open door, Misaki didn't care of any kind of modesty, "You may be failing to understand that your presence in my house is hurting me."

Kicking the ground once at uttering some cursing words at the framed photograph of the late master of the house, Hachiro stormed out. Reaching the portrait and placing her two hands on the wall, Misaki sniffed and leaned her head against it. Remembering her dead husband, she couldn't hold her tears anymore. His memories hurt her badly. But the worst fear of the lady was the imagination of losing her son. Would he be safe from the filthy clutches of Hachiro? If yes, for how long?

'Susumu….' The widowed woman whimpered, 'I-I cannot lose our child…'

"Hahaha…you cannot beat me, Daichi!"

The brunette, wearing butter-yellow skirt and a sleeveless white top under an orange jacket, totally ready for going to the university, was descending the stairs with her swift, rabbit-like feet, giggling the antiques of her manager as the dwarf was sliding against the railings, sitting on it to supersede his mistress. Both their moods were quite jolly that day. Hilary was planning to leave the home and reside in the hostel with Salima and Julia; a spare bed for her was left in their room. Secretly, by Daichi, she'd already sent her cloths and some necessary stuffs to the hostel. Now, it was her turn to go out. Though she was feeling really sad and miserable deep inside her heart, she wasn't letting them get exposed. So was Daichi, trying to lighten her mood.

"Halt!"

Hilary stood at the bottom of the stairs as the dwarf manager got down from the railing. Both they faced an infuriated brown-haired man, the master of Tachibana residence. Nearing his daughter, he asked, "Where are you going at this moment?"

"To uni." Hilary bluntly replied.

"Why?" Hachiro questioned again, "Isn't vacation going there now?"

"I am the cultural prefect as well as a notable member of the central students' union," The brunette answered, justifying the reasons, "That's why I have to go there."

"From now onwards," The politician stepped forward, "You cannot go out without my permission."

"Why, dad?" The second word felt heavy on her tongue, "I'm a grown-up young lady now, not a little baby girl. I also have my wishes, rights and preferences."

"There goes a proverb in politics," Cruelly, the father grabbed her wrist, "Every wish of a person should not be fulfilled always."

"Dad!" Hilary cried, "Leave my hand!"

Not listening to her, by the wrist, Hachiro forcefully dragged his daughter to the upstairs, before her room. Opening the door and applying sheer force, he thrusted the female brunette who landed on her bed. Not delaying a bit, the male brunette locked the door and put the key of the room in his pocket. Hilary kept slamming on the door, pleading her father to open it but he didn't listen to a single word of her. With an expression on his face as if nothing had happened, Hachiro walked past Daichi and left his house for his office, totally ignoring the intense begging of his daughter. But the redhead couldn't overlook the incidence. Taking a sharp breath, he ran out. At any cost, he had to inform this news to Kai.

At the same time, the VP and his team were enjoying the fresh flurries of the spring in their university campus. Kane, Salima, Tala, Julia and Max were sitting on the grass-covered field, sprawling their legs back at a side and gossiping, mostly discussing on some current serious issues. Closer to them, propping his back against a coconut tree and with his arms crossed on his chest, the slate-haired guy was listening to them, closing his eyes. He had gone out from his house after talking to Hilary. She had said that she would come today, joining them. But why was she being so late?

"No matter what happens," Tala punched on his palm, "Now, this Hachiro and his pets should be sent behind the bars. I cannot believe my eyes that they are still freely roaming in the campus, being proud as if they'd done any task of bravery!"

"Moreover, Tyson deserves justice," Max added, "Otherwise, in our afterlife, we won't be able to show him our faces."

"But the problem is…" Kane observed the facial expression of the VP, "Will that Tachibana let his daughter reach the court and report a testimony against him?"

"Exactly!" Running from nowhere, Daichi entered the field, panting, "At first, you have to save Hilary!"

Everyone became shocked as Kai opened his eyes. Approaching Daichi, he asked, with fury and worries in his amethyst orbs at the same time, "Why? What happened to her?"

"Boss has locked her in a room," He was still wheezing from the absence of enough oxygen in his lungs, "Her only crime was to have an affair with you."

"That cannot be happening!" The VP curled his fingers into fists, "I'm going to meet her!"

"Hell no!" Tala furiously shook his head, clasping the collars of his best friend, "Are you crazy? That freaking monster will murder you too!"

"I don't care," Effortlessly, Kai got off his hands, "If I don't go now, that bastard may do any harm to Hilary. Knowing it, I cannot be late!"

"May we come with you?" Kane gulped.

"No need now," The slate-haired refused, "Stay here, safe and sound. Daichi, you too."

Not letting his friends speak further, the VP hurried out from the campus field and caught a bus almost by flying which stopped before Tachibana residence. He'd had the address from Daichi before it but it was his first visit. All the guards in black suits, wearing black glasses were around it, holding pistols and shotguns in their hands, surrounding the mansion. Kai was thinking how to enter but before it, clutching his collars, someone span him like a top and slapped on his cheek once, making him almost fall on the ground. Somehow, the dual-haired maintained his balance, preventing the fall.

"Dad!" The restless voice of the female brunette could be heard as she reached the balcony of her room, viewing the scene, "Leave Kai!"

"You bloody bastard!" Hachiro grasped his throat, almost choking him, "How dare you come here! Being a dwarf, you wish to touch the moon?"

Kai could never think that the language of a renowned politician like Hachiro could be that low. He couldn't believe that Hilary was his daughter. Insulted, he murderously glanced at him and spoke, "Only because you are the father of Hilary, I'm silent. Otherwise, I also have the ability of biting back."

"Oh really?" Hachiro cocked an eyebrow, clapping, "Guys!"

Within no moment, the orange-haired terrorist and the members of his team gathered there, encompassing the VP and catching his arms and neck. Kai didn't have any preparation for a fight, all the guards were pointing their guns at him. He knew if he started any showdown there, he would be shot to death. He looked at the balcony where his brunette girlfriend was standing, stretching a hand and continuously begging, "Don't beat him, dad! I-I promise, I'll never meet him! I'll breakup with him! I'll be your obedient daughter always…but please, spare him! I'm begging to you for his life, dad!"

Ignoring the existence of her voice, Hachiro ordered, "Take care of this brat! I'm going to office!"

That was a golden opportunity for Brooklyn and his gang. As Hachiro left, they all mercilessly dragged the VP, almost getting his legs and thighs slid against the concrete ground and placing the tubes of their weapons at his forehead. Kai scuffled to get free from them but he was a single person. On the other hand, there were twelve or thirteen. Hilary pleaded to them too breaking her voice and releasing all the energy left in her throat but her pleadings couldn't touch their stone-like hearts. Rather, they burst out laughing as if it had been a joke. When the gang and Kai were out of the sight of the brunette, she dashed back to her room and slumped on the bed, backing the ceiling. Clasping the bedsheet tightly with her nails, she wept miserably with her hoarse and ragged voice.

That was not the concern of the goons. Heaving the slate-haired just like tugging a bull, they brought him to an abandoned workshop which was their secret base. Brooklyn chuckled, recalling their actual plan:

"We'll be ready," Brooklyn announced, "Waiting for him at Boss Tachibana's place. When the VP will reach there, we will abduct him and take him to the abandoned warehouse."

"Then?" Carlos asked.

"Then, we'll severe the artery of his left wrist and push a suicide note in his pocket where it will be written that he has committed suicide, not tolerating the guilt of killing Tyson," Brooklyn answered, "From this note, the persons who were supporting Kai and saying that he didn't kill Tyson will be brainwashed and hate him forever even if he survives"

"But…will it be so easy?" Carlos was hesitating a bit, "Even if we succeed in it, we have to struggle a lot for murdering him. We may have to hit him. From the injuries and wounds..."

"Don't worry about it," The orange-head assured him, Boss will take care of it by bribing the doctor. Besides, we will write as Kai's last wish so that his dead body isn't taken for the autopsy. So..."

"Wow, Brooklyn!" His disciple clapped, admiring him, "You're so cunning!"

"Hehehe…." Brooklyn chuckled viciously in pride, "That's why, I'll be the most popular student leader in Tokyo Institute of Technology. Now, go and sharpen the dagger."

"Yeah!" Enthusiastically agreeing with him, Carlos left.

But accomplishing it was not so easy. When they all put their firearms back, Kai started his work. Getting his arms free, he held two hockey-sticks that had been nearly hitting his head and snatched them. He thumped them on the backs of the hitters. Closer, Brooklyn was puffing a cigarette, leaning comfortably against a broken green truck and enjoying the showdown. His teammates were about to hit the VP but this time, he lay down, booting the ankles of another two and making them fall. Tumbling up, he took a karate stance. At the next second, a karate chop landed on the pressure point of one's neck, the enemy got knocked down.

"Brooklyn," Carlos was afraid, "Kai's smashing all of us. What will be about our motive?"

"There's no sin in cheating." The orange-haired guy lifted a brick and threw it at the head of the VP from behind. Immediately, he got a concussion, leaving the fight and pressing the place which was hurt. The pain was sheer, blinding his eyes. He knelt down on the ground weakly, feeling nauseous at the blow. He tried his best to return to the fight but his energy level had already lowered to the bottom. Using the chance, all the terrorists caught him for showering their anger more on him.

"Nope!" Brooklyn shook his head, "Don't hit him anymore. If his body bears any sign, we'll get caught. Let's return to the original job."

Pulling out a penknife from the pocket of his jeans with his glove-worn hand, the notorious student leader progressed to Kai and held his left wrist. Wasting no moment, he slashed a vein as blood gushed out from the newly opened wound. In pain, Kai writhed, tears gleaming in his aventurine pools. Somehow, he got the feeling how Tyson had felt on that day while getting murdered. The wounds were on his head and wrist but his heart pained the most. He felt so light at the body and heavy at his eyelids. Trying to glare at Brooklyn once, he closed his eyes and collapsed on the ground.

"Good job!" Brooklyn hurriedly tucked a rolled paper in the pocket of the wounded guy and stealthily kept the same penknife in another hand, "Now let's flee!"

All they rode the truck and escaped from the place. Within less than 60 seconds, another microbus reached the spot as Kai's friends got down along with Daichi. Looking here and there, Daichi spotted the slate-haired guy, lying miserably on the ground, "There! There he is!"

"Kai!"

The five young men rushed to the aid of his friend. Tala gently placed his head on his lap as discovering the wound, Kane bandaged his wrist with a handkerchief, for stopping the heavy bleeding because his face had already become white. The redhead Russian gently shook his head to wake him up. The girls gasped, pressing their mouths under their palms, almost in tears. Like a matured person, Max held them to console them though he was also struggling hard to believe the sight before him.

"I…I forbade him…." Tala bit his lips, "I…I knew…."

"That's not the time for mourning," The blunette checked his pulse, placing two fingers at the side of his neck, "Kai is still alive. We have to take him to hospital! Fast!"

They lifted the unconscious, pale VP in the microbus, reposing him on the back-seat where his head was on Tala's lap still, he kept massaging his palms to keep him warm. Daichi took the driver's seat and closed all the doors. Then, he looked behind once, his heart ached. He couldn't even imagine what Hilary would undergo upon knowing it once. He became even pissed off at the heinous deed of his boss.

'Stupid father, stupid politician….'

Muttering under his breaths, he clutched the steering wheel and rotated it as the vehicle swiftly ran in the direction of the hospital…

*Gasps* What will happen to our hero? Will he be saved? Or will he have to welcome the same fate of Tyson? *Gulps*

Cannot say much, but while reading the next chapter, come with the preparation of crying *Bites lips*
