A/N So this is the first time I've written any sort of story and you will definitely be able to tell. I had a lot of fun writing this and I really want to get better at writing. There's a story I want to write but I need to improve so any and all constructive criticism is definitely welcome. This was inspired by a piece of fanart by astuffds on Twitter. I saw it and ideas started popping into my head so I had to write it down. Hope you guys enjoy.

Mikoto Misaka and Touma Kamijou peered into their empty fridge. This is what they get for agreeing to look after index whilst Styl was on a mission. They really should have seen this coming.

"Well, We need to do our weekly shop today anyway, we might aswell get it done now." suggested Misaka.

"Yeah, let's get our list made up and go. We never get to go shopping together anyway. It'll be fun. Even if it is only groceries" agreed Touma.

The two of them left their apartment to go to the large supermarket five minutes away. Once they reached the supermarket, Misaka recognised two of her friends, Ruiko Saten and Kazari Uiharu and went to go talk to them, whilst Touma got the trolley. However, when Touma went to get his trolley, he bumped into one of his friends, one Motoharu Tsuchimikado. And this is the exact moment where this little shopping trip went downhill.

Meanwhile, Misaka was talking to Saten and Uiharu whilst walking through the store.

"So, how are the wedding preparations going?" asked Misaka.

"So far, so good." replied Uiharu. "There's still a lot to get done but we should have everything prepared in time. Speaking of which, are you free soon? We need to get a few things sorted with you aswell."

"Sure. Is next Saturday okay?"

"Perfect. Thank you so much. We'll probably need you all day."

"Yeah, that's fine. So, have you decided which name you guys are going for?"

"Not yet. I want to go with Saten. Maybe Ruiko will stop flipping my skirt in public if she doesn't have a name to shout out anymore."

"I just want to make sure that my girlfriend is wearing her panties." interrupted Saten.

"Of course I wear panties! You know I wear panties! You see me put them on every morning!" screamed Uiharu. It took her 10 whole seconds for her to realise that she had shouted that and that everyone around them were staring at the two girls.

Misaka turned to the open fridge next to them trying to hold in her laughter by concentrating on picking the eggs to buy. She picked a pack, looked inside to check they were okay and closed it again and turned back to the young couple.

Just when she was about to open her mouth to calm Uiharu down, a spiky blond haired man sprinted past her with a trolley in front of him. Curiously, there was a black haired woman in said trolley that was shouting curses at the man who was throwing seemingly random things into the trolley with her.

"Wait, isn't that..." began Misaka. A bad feeling began to sprout within the brown haired girl. "Oh no."

That bad feeling took about .5 seconds to manifest into reality as she was hit from behind and fell into a trolley being pushed by another spiky haired boy. Except this one had black haired and a tight hand that negated her electricity.

Just after Misaka split up with Kamijou

Touma watched his girlfriend walk towards her two friends and then when to pick up a trolley. There he spotted his old lond spiky haired friend Motoharu Tsuchimikado sporting his usual green t-shirt with white patterns and his signature sunglasses.

"Yo, Kami. How ya doing?" greeted Motharu.

"Oh great. It's you. What do you want Motoharu?"

"Oh? And here I thought you'd be happy to see you're old friend who happened to be shopping with his wife."

"Okay, I get it. You got married. Do you have to remind me every time we meet?"

"Hey, I managed to cure Kami disease. I think I have the right to brag about that. In fact I should get a medal for it."

"For that last time. There's no such thing a Kami disease"

"Not anymore there's not. And it's all thanks to me"

Touma was getting sick of this conversation and so decided to change the subject as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, he couldn't think of anything and so had to bring up the topic of his wife again.

"So where is Kaori anyway?" he asked

"Ah, she just went inside and told me to get the trolley so here I am." Just then a light bulb went off in Motoharu's head.

"Say, Kami. Why don't we have a race? See who can get their shopping done first?" asked Motoharu, a mischievous glint in his eye that was now slightly visible above his sunglasses that had fallen a little down his face.

"Why would I want to do that?" asked Touma, weary of what his friend was plotting.

"Isn't it obvious? For fun." Motoharu looked at Touma and saw he was yet to be swayed and so attempted to sweeten the deal. "Okay, how about the winner gets two thousand yen?"

Touma who was still not used to having the money that a certain level 5 earned could ot pass his opportunity to get some free cash. "Fine What are the rules?"

Motoharu grinned. "First one to finish their shopping and get out the door with their partner wins."

"Deal"

The two boys in men's bodies got their trolleys and Motoharu began the countdown.

"3."

Both boys got into a starting position, ready to shoot of when Motoharu said Go.

"2."

Touma was really hoping the 2000 yen was enough to curtail Misaka's rage at least a little.

"1."

Just then Kaori Tsuchimikado came into view just inside the shop and Motoharu saw his opportunity to get his partner quickly.

"Go!"

And so the chaos began. Motoharu shot into the lead going straight for his wife and hitting her from behind forcing her to fall into the trolley.

"MOTOHARU?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"

She didn't get an answer as her husband sprinted through the shop looking for their groceries and throwing them on top of her.

Meanwhile, Touma had to find his girlfriend who was currently talking to her friends. He saw the Tsuchimikados veer out from one of the aisles in front of him and pass three girls that had the attention of the aisle before the race reached them. He decided to take the Tsuchimikado approach and ran straight into the back of Misaka who unknown to him had a pack of eggs in her hand.

"WHAT THE HELL?! TOUMA?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"I REFUSE TO LOSE THIS RACE! WE'VE GOT TWO THOUSAND ON THE LINE HERE!"

Touma had the list infront of him and knew where he had to go. He was really thankful that Misaka wrote out the list as she knows the shop and she writes the lists so that she can take 1 path through the shop and never have to backtrack and so Touma was able to take the shortest possible route.

Both teams sprinted through the shops with the girls getting angrier with every item that was thrown on top of them. Eventually both teams managed to find all their groceries and were heading to the tills. There were 2 tills that were empty. One had an old man operating it and one that had a girl in her early twenties operating it. Touma managed to get to the younger girl first believing she would be faster and started unloading all of his groceries as quickly as he could.

Motoharu, stuck with the old man got to his till and started unloading his groceries as well.

Unfortunately for Touma. It was the girls first day and having a boy sprint up to her till with a trolley full of groceries and a dazed girl that looked like she could explode at any second scared her and she started making a lot of mistakes.

As such, the Tsuchimikados finished first and with Kaori once again stuck under a pile of groceries, Motoharu passed Touma just as he finished paying.

It was now a drag race to the line but Motoharu had a head start and was already up to speed and he used that advantage to full effect and shot out the door just ahead of Touma.

"Ha ha! I win! Now if you don't mind. I'll have that two thousand yen please"

"Rotten luck. Fine. Here you go." Touma took his wallet out again and realised he didn't have two thousand on him.

"Give me five minutes whilst I get it out." But he didn't have the chance as two very angry demons recovered enough to get out from under their shopping.

Both boys received considerable head injuries and a lot of shouting in their ears as their partners took out their incredible rage on the two of them.

Later that night as both boys lay on the cold ground of their respective apartments, they both had one single thought.

"Worth it."

A/N And there we go. My first piece of work. What did you guys think? I think for starters I've learned that I need to write stories on my laptop and not on my phone. Wasn't my smartest decision.
