Chapter 3: A Surprising Date

AN: Special thanks to Sabre for his edits.

It was 6:00 PM as Kim and Ron were having dinner at the 70s diner and were talking about what had transpired earlier that day.

"Sylvia seems like a nice person, doesn't she, Ron?" Kim spoke up.

"Yeah, she definitely seems like an interesting person," Ron agreed. He quickly added. "But certainly not as interesting and/or beautiful as you, KP."

Kim smiled as she took another unexpected compliment.

"Why thank you, Ronnie," Kim cooed. "I love it when you always give me unexpected compliments."

"Or give you unexpected gifts?" Ron added before leaning in and planting a kiss on Kim's lips. After pulling away he said. "Like a kiss?"

"Exactly," Kim cooed.

"I aim to please the woman I love," Ron said with a loving smile which Kim returned.

"Speaking of love," Kim spoke. "I can't believe that Sylvia and Reggie have only just met and they're already going on a date."

"Me neither," Ron speculated. "I wonder how they're doing."

Meanwhile, at Italianos, Reggie and Sylvia were indeed enjoying each other's company. As they ate dinner together, they conversed.

"So, how long have you been playing football?" Sylvia asked.

"Since Middle School actually," Reggie answered. "I was in Elementary School when I discovered my love for sports. It was also around that same time my sweet little brother Jack discovered his love for music."

"So I take it you are a Beatles fan as well?" Sylvia asked.

"Well, of course I am," Reggie answered. "But not as big as Jack and his friends. And to be honest, the loud noise he'd make with his tuba at home and/or at school is kind of annoying, but I do like the way he always practices Beatles songs on his bass guitar."

"Well, that sounds very nice," Sylvia said.

"Hey, Sylvia, can I ask you something?" Reggie asked.

"Of course you can," Sylvia said.

"That necklace around your neck," Reggie started. "Is that a replica of The Necklace Of Mallory?"

Sylvia gained a look of surprise and did her best to hide the nervous look in her eyes as she answered.

"Why, um, yes... it is," Sylvia stammered. "How did you know?"

"I used to study Greek mythology myself," Reggie explained. "And the story about the Necklace Of Mallory kind of used to creep me out. But don't get me wrong, that necklace actually looks very nice on you."

Sylvia smiled, but in truth had a very nervous feeling.

"Why thank you, Reggie," Sylvia responded. "The story of this necklace was actually my favorite to learn about, so when I saw it in that gift shop, I decided I should get it."

"And I understand," Reggie replied. "If you want something to symbolize your love for Greek Mythology, more power to you."

"Why thanks, Reggie," Sylvia replied. "Say, would it be alright if I used the ladies room for a minute?"

"Of course, go right ahead," Reggie replied.

Sylvia got up from her seat and headed towards the bathroom.

As soon as Sylvia entered the ladies room, a grim look crossed her face. After making sure no one else was in there with her, she took out her cell phone and made a call.

"What is it?" Monkey Fist's voice came on the other side.

"Reggie knows about the Necklace of Mallory," Sylvia said in a grim tone.

"What?!" Monkey Fist exclaimed. "How did he find out?"

"Calm down, Uncle Monty," Sylvia said, defensively. "He simply knows what it is. He doesn't know that I have the real thing. Still, if Reggie knows a thing or two about what it can do, it could be problematic."

"Hmm, you may be right," Monkey Fist said. "Very well, you must make sure, he can not discover anything else. Just make sure that you are very discreet when using your little gift."

An evil smile once again spread across Sylvia's face.

"No promises," She simply said.

Sylvia then hung up her phone and thought, "I am going to enjoy making Reggie my little love slave."

After that thought, she exited the ladies room.

Elsewhere, about a few minutes later, Kim and Ron were leaving the 70s diner.

"So what do you want to do now?" Kim asked.

Ron smirked and cooed, "Well, I wouldn't mind taking a little stroll through the park with my lovely bon-diggity wife."

"I wouldn't mind it either," Kim cooed.

They were about to kiss when they heard the Kimmunicator go off.

"Ugh," They groaned.

Kim answered her Kimmunicator, "Go, Wade."

"Sorry to interrupt your date," Wade apologized. "But we've got a hit on the site, Duff Killigan is attacking a country club on the other side of Burbank."

Kim and Ron gained serious looks.

"We're on it," Kim said.

"Should I beep the rest of the team?" Wade asked.

"Just Tara and Hope," Kim replied.

"Got it," Wade replied. "I'll make sure they meet you guys there pronto. Wade out."

The Kimmunicator's screen then turned off.

"Why would Killigan want to attack a country club here?" Ron wondered aloud. "It's like he wants to get in trouble with us on purpose."

"It is a little weird," Kim agreed. "But regardless, whatever Duff is up to, we have to stop him."

"I'm with you all the way, KP," Ron said with a smile.

Kim smiled back.

Meanwhile, Reggie and Sylvia were walking through the park. Earlier, Sylvia asked Reggie if they could go for a walk in the park, he said yes. So they did just that.

As they walked, Sylvia looked at her surroundings, as if she was trying to see if anyone else was there. She then spotted a nearby bench.

"Hey, Reggie, do you mind if we could take a rest here?" Sylvia asked.

"No, not at all," Reggie replied.

Soon, the two sat down together on the bench.

"Well, I think this was a pretty nice date," Reggie speculated.

"That it was, Reggie," Sylvia agreed.

"So you want to maybe go on another date," Reggie asked, nervously.

"Yes, as a matter of fact I would," Sylvia said.

Reggie smiled.

"But if we are going to continue dating," Sylvia continued. "There is something I should tell you."

"What is it, Sylvia?" Reggie asked.

"Well, maybe, I should start by saying," Sylvia started as she placed a hand on her necklace. "...that this necklace is not as fake as you think it is."

Reggie gained a confused look. Then as Sylvia turned to fully face him, an evil grin spread across her face, and the eyes on the necklace were glowing red.
