Chapter 5
A/N: I adjusted the requirements for health and Chakra. I didn't like how they relied on just one
Kida was bathed and dressed in her pajamas, ready for bed, her pups were shuffling through her room sniffing and rubbing themselves on her things.
Her mother and father sat on either side of Kida on her bed. Tochio gave her a strained smile, putting his hand on her head "Pup, I think it's about time we talked about your Ninja career." He whispered. Kida frowned at her parents' demeanor. They had that same worried look she'd seen on their faces throughout her short life. It only lasted for a second and it was always followed by a hair ruffle, a proud smile, or tight hug.
"Your training is going to be more intense from now on." Her mother said in a quiet voice. "You'll be learning how to kill and how to not get killed. That means a lot of responsibility."
"And it's not just you that you have to think about." Her father added. "You may be a prodigy, but your Ninken are not."
Asuga nodded. "You have to be careful not to push them too hard."
Kida nodded in agreement. "That's why I needed them early. Yah know I'm more advanced than the other kids and we all know how fast I pick things up. But my Ninken aren't on my level. I didn't want to risk graduating early and them not being ready to face enemy Ninja. We do need to get strong together."
Her parents stared at her in wonder. The next thing she knows she is being hugged tight by them. "Thank Kami!" Her mother said. "We've been so worried about you." Her pups were looking at her parents like they'd lost their minds.
"Umm why?" Her father pulled back looking in her eyes. "Pup, you excel in everything you do. We were worried about you rushing to become a Ninja too soon. You're just a baby, you shouldn't get your hands bloody yet." He sighed and kissed her forehead. "But it seems we were mistaken. You've already thought things through."
They hugged her tightly. "We love yah pup and we're so proud of you, just try not to grow up so fast." They kissed her one last time, "Good night pup." They closed the door as they left.
Zoran jumped up onto the bed. What was that about? Kida rubbed her ears making her smile in pleasure. "I'm not the runt of the litter like you thought. I'm much younger than the other kids. So my parents think I'm too young to fight yet." Oh? Zorans ears flattened against her head. "You ok, Z?" Yeah I'm fine, ummm I know we're supposed to sleep right now, but I'm not tired. Sessh jumped up onto the bed. Me neither.
"Yeah, it's cause of the Gamer's body, you won't feel tired like normal people." The pups pouted, Then what are we supposed to do? Kida grinned at the pups. "We can train." They looked confused. Train how? Sessh looked nervously towards the door We're inside. Kemono said no rough housing inside!
Kida chuckled, gathering the large pup into her arms. "We can meditate of course." Meditate? What's that? Kida walked them through the process of meditation. She'd been worried they wouldn't be able to sit still long enough to progress the skill, but once it activated they had no problem. Once they were both Meditating, Kida started on it herself.
The next morning Kida found the pups sniffing at their notification windows, What's it say? Kida grimaced and explained what it said, she'd have to teach them to read, both Kanji and English.

Kida chuckled, that would help a lot when training her pups. "C'mon, I think I smell breakfast." They followed the smell to the kitchen, where at the sight of the sleeping Kemono, Sessh whimpered and hid himself behind Kida. Kida chuckled pulling out the brand new food bowls. Haruto had gotten a whole lot of supplies for her new pups over the last week. She set their food, specially made by the Inuzuka to meet all dietary requirements of a Ninken and still be delicious, on the ground away from Kemono's sleeping form.
Kida sniffed at the breakfast her mother was making and was once again grateful that the Inuzuka used scentless cleaners.
Her mother set her plate on the table, eyeing the pups as Zoran took the closest bowl to Kemono, putting herself between the whimpering pup and the Ninken. "Of course you'd get pups that wouldn't be normal." Her mother chuckled, shaking her head.
Kida flinched. 'So loud!' "What you mean?" She asked as she rubbed her ears. She needed to get used to her enhanced senses fast.
Asuga gave her an apologetic look and whispered, "Well, yah got yourself the runt of the litter and a big boy that's scared of his own shadow."
Kida looked over at Sessh. "I'm not too worried. We'll train till we succeed. We'll be fine."
"Speaking of training," Kida looked back at her mother, she was leaning against the counter with her arms crossed. "Starting tomorrow, Haruto will be teaching you the clan techniques and jutsus."
"Yay!" She yelled then flinched when her own voice hurt her ears.
After breakfast her mother left Kemono to babysit. Kida led her pups to the backyard, flinching at the bright morning light. Kemono plopped down under the shade of a tree. "Ok you two, we are gonna work on mastering Tree walking." For the next few hours they grinded their skill. Zoran made it a game of going as high as she could before her Chakra ran out. Sessh stayed towards the bottom, too scared of falling. Kida was having a hard time keeping her eyes open for too long due to the sunlight.
Inuzuka Ninken were descendants of the Dog Summons, which meant that while they had their own Chakra, when they ran out they automatically siphoned their human partners Chakra. The pup's CP was too low and so was their recovery, so they relied on Kida's Chakra to help them grind. 'Thank Kami I have such a high recovery.' She needed to increase Zorans WIS and STR, and increase Sessh's INT. Tonight they would only do meditation every other hour and work on their INT, LUK, and WIS.
It was fun actually, they played on who would get the greatest amount of guesses on the coin toss. The pups came up with pretty good goals for themselves. They struggled a lot with her puzzles and the riddles she gave them. Sessh actually fell in love with Shogi. Even when he lost he was still delighted. Zoran on the other hand had no interest in it. Kida now had to come up with a fun way for her to train her INT.
Between playing she told them stories from her old life, they particularly liked the movie 'Eight Below.'
The next morning Haruto gave her new training clothes that consisted of a green shirt, dark green cargo pants, a winter coat and Ninja sandals. The sandals had to be especially ordered since they didn't make them her size. She was wearing the Inuzuka children's standard training clothes and gave her a 25% Stat gain. He then handed her a pair of dark green goggles with...earphones? in the straps. "Your mom said you were having trouble with your senses." Kida gave him a grateful smile as she put them on. She gave a sigh of relief, everything was less bright and loud now. "Inuzuka usually only increase their sense of smell when bonding so you'll just have to get used to your sense of smell by yourself."
They made their way to the training grounds. When they got there the pups got the 200 exp for discovering a new place. She walked them through the words, making them sound it out.
"Ok pups," Haruto said, pulling out a scroll. "In the mornings, we'll work on body conditioning. Then we'll play tag, then hide and seek, then we'll work on Ninja related skills. We'll break for lunch then. Every other day we'll either study or work on the family jutsus." He placed it on the ground, put his hand on the center of the seal, and sent a spike of Chakra through his hand. With a poof of smoke, three small bracelets appeared.
"Give me your hand." She shuffled forward offering her arm. He tightened the bracelet so it was snug on her wrist. He motioned for her Ninken. Zoran narrowed her eyes, but nevertheless she walked forward with her head held high. Kida could still feel the nervousness coming from her. Haruto put the bracelet around her paw and motioned for Sessh, who whimpered and hid behind Kida.
Kida took the bracelet from her uncle and placed it on his paw.
"Good. Now all three of you put the same amount of Chakra you use on a leaf into the bracelet." Kida really should have been more wary when she caught the small glint in Haruto's eye. When she put the Chakra in the bracelet she staggered, falling onto her knees at the sudden weight over her body. Her pups whimpered as they fell on the ground.
Haruto watched her with a challenging look. Kida growled in annoyance, 'What the hell?' Kida! What's going on? Zoran practically screamed in anger, while Sessh whimpered I don't like this.
Kida hissed as she struggled to get to her feet

"Stand up you too." The pups just whimpered. "You need to stand on your own two feet." Haruto raised a brow, still watching them. "Remember your goals, you can't give up on the first day without even trying." They were silent for a moment before they started struggling to their feet. It took them a few minutes of their STR and VIT increasing before they got to their feet.

"Not bad. I'm impressed you got it so fast." Kida and Zoran glared and growled at the smiling man. "Yah know, I would have taken them off if you just asked."
Kida scoffed. "We don't give in to struggles." She crossed her arms in defiance, grimacing how much effort that took. Haruto chuckled, "Ok ok. Those there have gravity seals etched onto the inside. They make the gravity around you heavier. Right now it's just level 1, which is 2 times your weight. Second level is 3 times your weight. From now on you'll keep those on at all times, understand?"
Kida nodded, now grinning. "Ok sure." She'd asked for weights, but Haruto said that children her age shouldnt use weights since they could cause injury. Gravity bracelets work perfectly.
Haruto patted her head, making her lose her balance and causing her to fall on her butt. "Shall we get started?"
Kida jumped up. "Ok what are we gonna do first?" Haruto smirked. "30 laps 30 minutes."
Gotta get that Cardio!

Kida could have done all the laps without a problem, but with the additional weight...she wasn't sure. "Ok pup, your time starts now." All they could do was walk, too heavy to move faster than a shuffle. By the end of the second lap they managed a slow trot. They were able to complete 3 and a quarter laps.
"Good job you three, now lets play tag." He moved to the center of the field. "You're gonna work together to tag me."

All three of them groaned, they were definitely not gonna pass that quest. "Use any means at your disposal." Haruto said gleefully.
They failed big time. Zoran had no patience and went off on her own, Sessh would freeze up whenever Haruto's attention fell on him, and Kida kept tripping over them both. It certainly didn't help that the seals kept them from moving right.
Haruto chuckled as the three younglings laid on the ground panting. "Ok pups, take 10 minutes then we'll work on hide and seek." After catching her breath Kida started combing her hand through her pups fur.

Thanks Kida, you're a gift from Kami. Sessh nuzzled her, a relaxed smile on his face. Zoran just laid there enjoying the massage.
"Hey Haruto." Her uncle looked up from where he was stretching. "What was the deal my dad struck up with Sakumo?" She'd alway wondered about that. As far as she could remember Kakashi hadn't had any kind of relationship with the Inuzuka in the anime, and yet he was in the compound 90% of the time. So what happened to strike up this deal?
Haruto looked confused for a moment. "You mean why the Inuzuka babysit Kakashi?" At Kida's nod he just shrugged. "He needed someone to take care of Kakashi while he was out and we needed someone to be your Jounin sensei in the future."
Kida frowned. "But isn't he Tsume's?"
"Yeah, but since he is so high ranking he can just request for specific students. The Hokage usually grants those requests if he likes yah and you can prove that you'd be a good teacher to said kid." Haruto said.
Kida thought about this for the rest of the break. She didn't know they could request students or that her parents had been thinking of her future so early on.
"Alright pup, hide and seek will be a little different." The three of them grimace, it would probably be something terrible. Kida blinked when Haruto handed her a book. 'Konoha standard traps' and a pranking set. "You will try to find me and you can use that to make traps. Be aware that I will be putting up traps for you." Kida smiled wildly as she held the book to her chest as she turned off her mini map. "You have 30 minutes." Haruto disappeared.

Of course she couldn't hit Haruto at all. She almost hit her Ninken a few too many times, which earned her a bite from Zoran for being too clumsy.
After Kunai practice was the obstacle course… they didn't get that one either. At least it raised their AGI.
They had a long lunch before they moved on.
"Ok pups, I'll give yah an option. Either clan training or academy stud-"
"-Clan training!" Kida cut him off bouncing in place. Haruto chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Ok, ok, you got it. Let's work on your Taijutsu first."
Beast Style Taijutsu Lvl 0 (0% to next level) (Passive)
Inuzuka's fighting style. Beginner
The Taijutsu skill didn't make her stronger or faster. When she performed the katas her body almost moved on its own, like muscle memory. The Inuzuka Taijutsu style mostly involved a lot of flexibility, quick reflexes, low fast in and out attacks involving mostly their claws and fangs.
It was a lot of fun learning Taijutsu, it was definitely their favorite. After Taijutsu they worked on Dynamic Marking, Haruto wanted them to master that one before they moved onto the others. It was gross.
At home they showered and layed on her bed. That was harder than I thought. Sessh muttered, Zoran groaned in agreement. We're gonna do that again tomorrow? "Tomorrow and every day after that." They both groaned.
If they did that every day then all three of them would definitely advance pretty far, not just the pups. But this was just training with someone who wouldn't hurt them. Zoran needed to learn to not attack without them. She kept throwing herself at Haruto without a thought. And Sessh, he really needed to stop hesitating. Kida needed to be more aware of where her pups were. If they did what they did today against someone trying to hurt them, they'd get killed.
They needed weak opponents that would hurt them but wouldn't kill them. They needed… they needed a dungeon!
Kida sat up at the thought. If this was supposed to be a Game, then she might have ID Create. With that thought in mind she gathered Chakra to her hand and held her hand up.

When Kida heard a ding she opened her eyes. She ignored the notification for a moment, looking around. She was in what looked like a deserted town in the middle of the night. The place was like an empty Japanese town from her old world. There were 2 story houses with 6 foot cement walls surrounding them. The only light was a full moon. Kida wrinkled her nose as the scent of decay assaulted her senses.
Uhhhh what just happened? Kida let out a startled squeak at Zorans' bewildered voice. She looked to her Ninken, Zoran was up and alert, looking around in wonder. Sessh was frozen in place, his eyes wide, tail tucked between his legs. He looked like he'd pass out at any moment.
Kida pulled out some Ninja sandals she'd placed in her inventory, she didn't have her coat in there, before looking at her new skill.

"I just made a new skill!" She looked around excitedly. "It brought us to a Zombie dungeon." Sessh twitched. And what exactly are Zombies? Kida grinned brightly. "They are the walking dead!" At her words Sessh passed out while Zorans eyes shone with excitement. Thats soooo cool! Kida nodded, a smile still in place. "We can use them to test out our new techniques in combat." The pup was practically vibrating, making Kida chuckle. "Let's wake up Sessh and go hunting." When they woke their big boy, the poor pup whimpered at them. Kida let's go home!
Kida raised a brow at the pup. "Sure… if you can convince Zoran." The pups face crumbled as he knew that would be impossible, especially when he saw his friend looking so excited.
Their Zombie search didn't last long because, as soon as they rounded a corner, they found their first one. It had grey leathery skin and wore old clothes that were hanging off it's rotting skeletal frame. Half its teeth were missing and one of its eyes was hanging off a vein. It smelled of rotting eggs and spoiled milk. It groaned as it shuffled around aimlessly. Observe

"Ok you guys, this is what were gon-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Zoran was running towards the Zombie. The gravity bracelet was making her about the same speed as the Zombie.
Kida scrambled after her. The pup sank her teeth on the Zombies leg causing 10 damage. The Zombie didn't even flinch, It just reached down to grab the pup. Fortunately Kida tackled the Zombie in time, unfortunately the damn Zombie ended up biting Kida.

Kida cussed as she rolled away from the Zombie. She grabbed her Ninken and held her arm up gathering Chakra to her hand. Escape Escape Escape Escape They appeared back in her room sitting on her bed. According to her clock they had been gone for less than a second.
The bite looked infected and she could see her veins turning black. Her arm was rotting and it was painful.
Kida bit her lip she had 1 minute before she passed out. She jumped off her bed and ran out of her room, making her way to Haruto's room, her pups following close behind her.
She knocked on his door and burst in when he sleepily called her in.
Haruto looked up sleepily when his niece burst into his room. When the smell of rotting flesh hit him he jumped out of bed looking her over. He hissed when he saw the state she was in. There were black tendrils crawling over her body all originating from a...a bite mark? "Dammit." He growled out as he picked the pup up. Her HP was going down fast, it was already less than half full.
"ASUGA!" He yelled as he picked her up. He ran out of his room and met his brother, sister-in-law and her Ninken in the hall. The adults had Kunai out and they were all looking around frantically.
"Whats going on?" Tochio asked when he didn't see any danger. Asuga on the other hand caught sight of Kida. Most of her arm had turned black and the tendrils were now covering the rest of her body.
She snatched the child away and brought her to her room. The others waited at the bedroom door, watching Asuga lay the child on the bed and hold her hands over her, casting a diagnostic Jutsu.
"What the hell is going on? It's not like any infection I've ever seen." She whispered.
Kida was starting to freak out. She was gonna pass out soon. "Just cast a healing Jutsu on me!"
"Pup that's not how healing works." Asuga hissed trying to figure out what to do. Kida's eyes had turned yellow and her breathing was getting raspy. At the rate the infection was spreading her child would be dead before they made it to the Hospital.
"It'll work for me!" Kida whimpered as she passed out.
Asuga bit her lip, she didn't know what else to do so she went ahead and used the Mystical Palm Technique on the bite wound.
Haruto gave out a sigh of relief when he saw her HP filling back up. They watched in morbid fascination as the blackness disappeared and the bite faded away to nothing.
Asuga kept monitoring her health in awe. She was fully healed! No traces of the infection and no damage left on her child's body that she could see.
Kida woke up to a heated argument between her father and uncle. Tochio was grilling the younger man about what had happened, but he genuinely didn't know. She was being cuddled by her mother as she ran her hand through Kida's hair. Her pup's laying against her other side.
Kida lifted her arm and inspected it. "Not even a scar left, huh?"
They turned their attention to the child as she sat up. Haruto glared at her nonchalance "What the fu-I mean-What the FUCK, Kida!?"
She waved away his concern "Just a mishap that will not repeat itself." She sent Zoran a stern look. The pup looked away in shame.
"Uhuh…was this part of your weird game power?" He asked, rubbing his face. This kid was gonna be the death of him.
"Game power?" Tochio asked as he looked between them. Kida sent Haruto an annoyed look which he returned with an equally annoyed one.
Kida sighed and held her arm up. Their eyes widened when they were suddenly transported somewhere else.
While the adults looked around in shock at their new surroundings Kida turned her attention to her pups. Sessh was licking at Zorans ears in comfort. From what Kida could feel from their bond Zoran was feeling guilt, shame, and fear.
How much trouble am I in? Kida raised a brow, "Do you know what you did wrong?" The pup shuffled her paws, nodding. I went off on my own and nearly got you killed
Kida pulled the pup into her arms. "Do you have any idea how worried I was when I saw you go at the Zombie?" You're not mad? The pup sniffled. "Of course I am. You are so getting punished later, but right now I'm just glad you're ok."
Kida turned her attention back to the adults, she grimaced at the wary looks she was getting. And so began a long talk about her powers and who she was in another life.
Kida glanced waryly between her parents. They'd been staring at her with something akin to fear for a while now and she was starting to worry. Would they turn her into the Hokage? She hoped not. No doubt Danzo would love to get a hold of her power. She'd been careful not to say anything about the party system because of that fear. Not that it really mattered since all the party system did was give information about those in the party and let you see others' names and level...and access to an inventory. Kida grimaced, yeah that would be bad.
"You remember your past life?" Her dad's voice was barely above a whisper. Kida nodded.
"You were given this power by Kami?" Her mother asked. Kida nodded again.
Her parents glanced at each other in fear before turning back to Kida.
Asuga picked her daughter up and held her tight. "It was bad enough that people know you're a prodigy, but if it gets out that you have this special power people are gonna call it a Kekkei Genkai. The council cannot find out about this" She said, nuzzling her hair.
Kida perked up, this was the perfect time for Kida to gain knowledge without them figuring out she already knew. "The council?"
Her father wrapped his arms around them. "Kida you might have been a little young but do you remember when you learned how to use the leaf sticking technique and I told you about a bad man?"
Kida nodded "Yeah" Of course she remembered, she almost killed Kakashi that day.
Tochio sighed "Well in Konoha we have what is called the bloodline protection act. It means that when someone Kekkei Genkai that is dying out, rare or new they are pulled from active duty and kept in the village so that they may be protected in hope of having bloodline passed on to the younger generations."
Of course Kida knew this, it was part of why she hadn't wanted to tell anyone.
Tochio bit his lip, he hesitated for a moment before he resumed speaking. "What no one talks about is that you will be required to bear children until there are enough males in the family with the Kekkei Genkai. Those males will then be required to stay in the village until they bear enough children for them to be considered a clan."
Kida frowned at that, 'Was that part of the show? That makes no sense.' "What about the Hatake? There's only two left and as far as I know Sakumo isn't being pressured to have more kids."
Haruto snorted from where he and Kemono were scolding her pups. Both pups were getting scolded since freezing up and letting Zoran do something stupid was grounds for a togue lashing. "Hatake's have never had a problem with that cause they put more value on quality over quantity. The biggest the Hatake clan has ever been was 9 and that's cause they had triplets for two generations at one point. When the council tried to make Sakumo have more children he threatened to leave the village. And since he's as strong as the Hokage, they let him be."
"Ah I see." Kida ran a hand through her hair. 'Looks like I'll have to be careful and only show off proficiency with the clan Jutsu...Nah. Where's the fun in that.'
"Wait a minute!" Kida turned back to her parents. "You said a bad man, as in one."
They grimaced, "Yeah there's one in particular who you need to be wary off. It's Elder Shimura Danzo." Asuga explained. "During the Second Great Shinobi World War the Third Hokage granted Danzo permission to have an organization that would carry out missions separately from the village, for the betterment of the village. That organization is called Root. He would...collect children with potential and train them as if they were ANBU. When the war ended it was disbanded."
"Or at least that's what we thought." Her father growled. "But since mostly just orphans that no one would miss are being taken, the clans don't really care."
Kida glared and pushed herself out of her mother's arms, jumping onto the floor. Her bangs covered her eyes as she stood there with her hands clenched, shaking as a snarl ripped out of her. Her pups bristled up when they felt her rage bleed through their bond and came to stand at her side with matching snarls.
"That's it?!" She bit out. "The clans just don't care?"
Her parents glanced at each other in worry. "Kida it's not that they don't care, it's just that he's too politically powerful and it's just not worth the trouble." Her dad said. But that just made Kida angrier.

"That's wrong! Konoha is our home! We should protect it from all threats not just from those that come from outside the walls." She yelled, turning to them. "Just because it doesn't affect us doesn't mean we can turn a blind eye!"
"We know." Kida reared back when she saw their sad smiles. Tochio reached over and placed his hand on her head "Kida. I'm so proud of you. You're so little and already stronger than all of us." He pulled away leaving the child confused. "If you wish to go after Danzo, then so be it. The Inuzuka will back you up. But you must get stronger still."
They ended the conversation there and Kida took them home. Her mother didn't let her go though and she ended up sleeping with her parents that night.
She had to promise them she wouldn't go back in until she could at least fight.
A few days later, Kida was brought out of Meditation by a knock on her door. "Hey pup I got you breakfast."
Kida smiled as she jumped out of bed startling her pups. She burst out of her room and into her sisters arms. "Your home!"
"Hehe, yes I am." Tsume hugged her back. "Go get ready while I set the table." Kida nodded and went to the bathroom.
Kida and her pups got to the kitchen just as Tsume was finishing setting the table, Kuromaru already halfway done with his food bowl. "Hey there pup. So these are your Ninken huh?" Tsume looked over the pups. Sessh was shaking as he stared at Kuromaru as Zoran sniffed at the giant wolf dog.
"Yeah. Hey when I went to the Den there was a man there arguing with dad. His name was Niko."
Tsume growled, making Kuromaru lift his head from his meal. "That bastard? Stay away from him. He believes that the women in the pack are only good for breeding strong males and playing nurse for the warrior males. It doesn't help that he's pretty damn strong." Tsume glared down at her food. "He doesn't hide what he thinks and he's always challenging dad to try and take over the pack, the worst part is, he's gotten too damn close a few times. If that happened, if he beats dad… you and I would be turned into sex slaves for him and his kid."
Kida paled as her eyes widened in horror, she definitely hadn't expected something like that. "He's allowed to do that?!"
"If he's Alpha" Tsume let out a breath of anger. "That's why I gotta get strong. When dad steps down, I have to make sure the bastard doesn't have the chance to take over."
No wonder dad's stressed out all the time. He's gotta deal with that on a daily basis. "Don't worry Tsume, I know you're gonna become a great Alpha."

Tsume chuckled at her determined look. "Well, good to know you're on my side."
Tsume ended up training her the rest of the day. She was far more brutal than Haruto.
"Shall we try the dungeon again?" Kida asked her pups a few days later. The pups nodded nervously. With a grin, Kida raised her hand into the air activating the skill.
They appeared in the same place as they had last time, a deserted town with light snow illuminated by a full moon. Kida transformed herself so she looked like a younger Tsume. Haruto had taught them the three academy Jutsus the day before for their academy studies. She might as well grind them since she had the Chakra to spare. Especially since her clones looked half dead and her transformations always came out plastic like. Her pups just transformed into each other.
"Ok you two, we have to be careful not to get bitten or clawed by the Zombies." Clawed? Kida frowned, they didn't know? Her eyes widened, before she rolled her eyes at herself. Of course they didn't know, she hadn't taught them. "There's this technique called Observe. You might not be able to read yet, but if you start working it now, when you can read you'll be able to get a lot of information out of your target." She had them observe their surroundings till they got the skill. She didn't even have to tell them to Observe everything from now on, since they were puppies and curious about everything.
They made their way through the street till they found a Zombie. They Observed it and Kida explained what they found. "Their INT, WIS, and LUK are zero, which means it can be outsmarted. This one has 1,500 HP and its level 3. Levels don't matter as much as its stats. Its STR is 60, VIT 20, and AGI 10, which means it's the same as the last one. Now, normally that wouldn't be a problem, but the bracelets make us slower and weaker. So he is better than us right now."
Shouldn't we find a weaker one then? Sessh whimpered.
"We can't choose our opponents out in the real world. We need to learn to face all kinds of enemies if we want to succeed." The pup just hung his head in resignation. "He's dumb, so what do you think we should do?" She kept an eye on the wandering Zombie as she waited for a response.
Well, umm, we don't want to get bit or clawed so… we should… go from behind? Kida smiled at Zorans answer and gave her a treat. "It's got its side to us so how do we make it give us its back?" She looked pointedly at Sessh, making the pup twitch. Ummm, a distraction? The pup whispered uncertainty. Kida smiled and gave him a treat.
"Good, now watch and learn." Kida took out a small rock out of her inventory and threw it behind the Zombie. The sound of it hitting the ground caught its attention, making it shuffle away. "Go!" They ran after the Zombie, tackling him. The pups bit into its legs while Kida threw herself at its back, biting into his neck. It took everything she had not to gag as she ripped the rotting flesh of the moving corpse. The taste was worse than the smell.
The attack did 670 damage. When it hit the ground, it suffered 20 more points of damage. "Quick! Pin down its arms!" The pups jumped onto its arms using their fangs and weight to keep it down while Kida bashed its head on the ground. Head wounds seemed to do more damage than anywhere else, so she kept at it till it finally dissolved.

Kida pouted when she saw that it was split equally between the three of them. Hey, what is this? Kida looked over to Zoran, who was sniffing at a pile of money. "It must be our loot. As the Gamer, we get things from destroying monsters." She put it into her inventory.

We could make it so that if you don't pick it up after… 5 minutes, then it transfers to your Inventory. Same thing if you ID Escape without picking it up. This will work in the outside world, if you bring an opponent to unconsciousness or kill them then the loot transfers to your Inventory after 5 minutes.
Kida smiled. 'That's perfect, thanks!' She turned back to her pups. "We should come up with a name for our attacks, so we know what to do before we do it."
They didn't get to brainstorm too long since the commotion from their battle attracted 3 more Zombies. "Up the wall, quick!" They ran up the nearest wall that was just high enough to keep them out of their reach. "Necrotic damage stacks, which means that if you get bit once it's 10 damage every second, if you get bit twice then it's 20 damage every second. Which means you'll die faster." The pups swallowed in fear as they looked down at the reaching Zombies.
What do we do then? Kida looked around. From her vantage point, she could see the other streets and alleyways with some Zombies that hadn't noticed them yet.
Her eyes landed on a particularly narrow alleyway. She smirked as a plan formed in her mind. Kida quickly whispered her plan to the pups. Sessh looked sick and Zoran looked absolutely delighted. "Think you can handle it?" The grey pup nodded her head in excitement.
Kida and Sessh jumped off the wall onto the other side, they made their way past two houses. Kida left Sessh on the wall while she jumped into the alley. It was narrow, just wide enough for a 2 year old to stand comfortably. With a nod, Kida let out a sharp whistle, she kept her eye on Zorans health. If it dropped even by one point she'd go after her Ninken.
45 seconds later, Zoran appeared at the mouth of the alley. The Zombies a few feet behind her. Kida smirked as Zoran trotted over to her, tongue lolling out, chest heaving as she led the Zombies into the alley where they wedged themselves in the narrow space.
Kida made an Earth Wall between the first and second Zombie. "Sessh your up." The white pup gulped, looking nervously at the stuck Zombie. "Come on Sessh, you've got this." Sessh took a deep breath, then threw himself onto the Zombies head. He sank his fangs on its head as he used his weight to make the Zombie fall. As soon as it hit the ground Kida and Zoran were on it, biting and ripping it apart.

Kida tossed the rib in her inventory before dropping the wall revealing the other Zombies. She quickly made another earth wall between them. For the next three hours they continued in this manner, attacking individual Zombies and trapping multiple ones. They killed 43 Zombies, earning them: 2,795 EXP each, 4,050¥, 8 rolls of Zombie leather which was made of the Zombies skin, 10 Zombie teeth, 7 Zombie ribs, and 9 sets of old clothes. Once that was done, they escaped the dungeon and returned to her room. After a few minutes, they went back to the dungeon where, instead of killing Zombies, they focused on grinding their jutsus and stats.
Thanks to their hunt, the pups leveled up. All their stats increased, which made them move around so much easier.
Kida didn't want to spend too much time in the dungeon, so they only went in every few days.
Tonight she was setting up the table while her parents tried to help Haruto cook. Tried being the keyword, seeing as they were currently being scolded for ruining the mash potatoes.
Sometimes, Kida felt like her parents got Haruto as her caretaker for his cooking abilities. No one in their house knew how to cook something more than breakfast foods, only her sister was a passable cook. Kida herself had made milk explode when trying to make hot cocoa. Scared the hell out of poor Kakashi and had been promptly banned from the kitchen.
It seemed that even the Game couldn't fix her terrible culinary skills.
Kida's nose twitched as a familiar scent hit her. She pushed the plates she'd been holding into her dad's arms and ran out the house. She tackled Kakashi to the ground, her parents having had them separated for a few weeks so Kida could bond with her Ninken.
"Imissedyousomuchandohmygoshyousmellsogood!" Kida glomped the screeching boy. "Hey, hey, hey, what's with all the new dog scents? They don't smell like your dad's Ninken." 'Gasp' "Did you sign the dog contract already!? That's awesome!"
Kakashi stopped struggling after a bit and just stood there letting out a long suffering groan as Kida cuddled him. His father was no help, he was laughing at Kakashi's misery.
He would have fought harder, but the last time he'd hit her when she 'glomped' him she'd given him such a miserable look that made him feel oddly guilty. He'd ended up letting her cuddle him for almost 3 hours. It was easier to just let her get it out of her system.
Besides, she smelled nice so it wasn't that bad.
Finally, Kida pulled back. "What's with the mask?" She asked fiddling with the edge of the black mask. She had wondered when he would start wearing his infamous mask.
"My sense of smell got too strong for me to handle." He said, swatting at her hand. He eyed her goggles and earphones.
"Hmm, my senses got uber strong too. I can't see very well during the day anymore and everything is super loud now! But mean Haruto says I gotta get used to my sense of smell." Kida said as she led them inside, where Haruto had just kicked her father out of the kitchen.
When Haruto saw Kakashi, he grabbed the boy and started to cry into his shoulder. "Finally, someone who understands my misery." Kakashi solemnly patted him on the head. He, too, lived with someone who couldn't cook. That's right, it turns out that Sakumo can't cook either.
Said man just gave them a dry look.
They don't smell Inuzuka. Kida looked over to her pups who were giving the Hatake's confused looks from behind Kemono.
She snatched Kakashi from Haruto and dragged him to her pups. She picked up Zoran and held her up to the masked boy. "This is Zoran! She is fast and, while she can't take attacks very well, she is vicious. She's gonna be a speed attacker. Zoran, this is Hatake Kakashi, my best friend."
They sniffed at each other for a bit before Kakashi pulled back. "It's good to meet you Zoran." He said, giving her a small nod.
Yeah sure… She huffed, still giving him a wary look.
Kakashi raised a brow at Kida in confusion, making her chuckle. "She's not exactly friendly.
Kida sat the puppy down and picked up the other. The pup was frozen in fear as Kida 'held' him up. Since he was so big, his feet were touching the ground. He flinched when Kakashi got closer to sniff at him. Kida grinned widely and said, "This is Sesshomaru. He may be shy right now, but he's becoming quite the tank." She said tank in English since there weren't any tanks in this world, as far as she knew. "Sessh this is Kakashi, my best friend."
Kakashi hummed. "Mah, they seem good enough." Zoran huffed at the boy's words.
Kida chuckled as she let go Sessh "What about your Ninken?" Kakashi smirked and motioned to the backyard. Kida and her pups followed after the boy leaving the adults to their adult stuff.
Kakashi stood in the center of the yard where he pulled out a Kunai and used it to cut his thumb. He ran through the hand seal sequence, 'Boar - Dog - Bird - Monkey - Ram', and slammed his hand on the ground. A small cloud of smoke covered the area and, when it dissipated, a small brown pug puppy was sitting there. He wore a blue vest with the Henohenomoheji sign on the back.
Kakashi straightened, panting slightly. "This is my main summons, Pakkun." He said. "I've got others, but I can only summon one at a time and only for a few minutes right now."
Kida crouched down in front of the pup. "Hi! My name's Inuzuka Kida and these are my Ninken. Zoran and Sesshomaru." She pointed at her pups respectively as they came over and sniffed at the new dog.
Pakkun raised a paw in greeting. "Yo." His voice was childish and squeaky and very much unlike his adult self's. She was so happy to be able to understand dogs now.
Kida giggled and raised her hand up. "Do you mind?"
He smiled and bumped her hand, making Kida squeal as she petted him. "He's so cute!"
Kakashi smiled as he watched his friend gush over his Ninken. He could hardly wait to show her the rest of his pack. "Now that you have your Ninken, how about a spar?"
Kida jumped excitedly. "Hell yeah! I'm so gonna beat yah."
Kakashi unsummoned Pakkun and both kids went to stand at opposite ends of the yard.
You want some help? Kida smiled at her Ninken. "Nah, this is personal." She grabbed a rock, studying the boy. "All out or taijutsu only?" She asked as she took off her bracelet and pulled down her goggles so they resed around her neck.
"All out." Kakashi wasn't stupid, Kida was stronger and faster than him. If it was just Taijutsu, she would beat him. He tensed as he watched the rock sail through the air. When it hit the ground he charged her, Kunai out.
Kakashi's eyes widened slightly when he saw her appearance change and become more animalistic. Her fangs and claws got longer, and her eyes became slitted.
He slashed at her, trying to cut her. His eyes widened slightly when she effortlessly evaded his attacks. 'How did she get so fast in just a few weeks?' Kakashi growled, jumping back when her claws scratched his right cheek and cutting through his new mask. He could feel blood dripping down his cheek. He'd trained constantly with his father, so that when they met again he could defeat her, and yet he couldn't land a single hit. He created 2 illusion clones, trying to trick her, but it didn't work. She ignored the illusions, going right at him, 'HOW?!'
She attacked, putting him on the defensive. She managed to scratch him with her claws several times. She stayed low, mostly on her hands and feet as she came at him with the viciousness of a dog. Her attacks were relentless and erratic, he couldn't predict her moves at all! He yelped when she bit into his arm, this allowed him to land his first hit on her head, making her let go of his arm. She spat out his blood, before charging at him.
Kakashi jumped back as he tried to come up with a plan. He wasn't gonna last as long as Kida and he was outclassed in terms of strength and stamina. Kida was gonna win!
He pulled out another Kunai, this one attached to Ninja Wire.
Kida raised a brow when she saw the glint of Ninja Wire. It was too thin for most people to see, but thanks to her enhanced eyesight she could just make them out.
Kakashi threw Kunai after Kunai at her as she continued to attack him. When she finally got to the place he needed her at, he pulled at his Ninja Wire. He smirked when he saw the look of surprise on her face as the wires encircled her. He caught her!
"You're not the only one with new tricks." He laughed, only to freeze when a cloud of smoke covered her. As the smoke dissipated Kakashi's eyes widened when he saw his wires wrapped around a rock.
He gasped when he felt claws digging into his neck. "You're not the only one with new tricks." Kida whispered into his ear.
"All right pup! You won your first real fight!" Tochio picked up the giggling Kida, the rest of her family around them. They must have come out sometime in the middle of their fight.
Kakashi just stood there as he watched his friend get congratulated. She was smiling widely and looked so happy it made something inside Kakashi ache.
His father came over and patted him on the head. "You underestimated her." He crouched down so they were eye-level. "You knew you couldn't win by taking her head on, but you didn't account for the fact that she saw through your trick. You should have backup plans and not let down your guard even when you think you've won. Otherwise, not bad. So don't be upset." He said, picking him up and following the Inuzuka back into the house.
Kakashi frowned at his father's words, burying his face into his neck. "I'm not upset. It's just...she's pretty when she smiles." He mumbled.
Sakumo stumbled at his son's words before chuckling and resuming his walk. His son had a crush on the Inuzuka princess. 'It's been a long time since our blood has mixed. I wonder how that will turn out.'
Kida waited until she was sure her family had settled down to sleep for the night before jumping out of her bed and slipping into the bottom bunk with Kakashi.
The boy had his back to her, but she knew he was awake. His heartbeat was too fast to be sleeping.
"Kashi…Kashi…heeeyyy...Kakashi!"
The boy turned to glare at her. "What?" He hissed.
His eyes widened at her serious expression, this was the first time he'd seen that look on her. She was always grinning or looking determined, but never serious. "What I'm about to show you is something no one else knows about me, other than Haruto." She whispered. "I need you to promise me you wont tell anyone, not even your father. Swear it"
Kakashi quickly nodded his curiosity rising, but Kida just shook her head. "No, not good enough. A promise isn't real unless you say it outloud."
"I swear." Before Kakashi even finished the word, the world changed around them. Kakashi jumped up, looking around frantically. They were in an abandoned town similar to the village, but there was no Hokage monument or anything Kakashi was familiar with. The smell in the air reminded him of rotting meat and he could see...grey people?... ambling through the area.
He turned to Kida, she and her Ninken were watching him. "Where are we? What is this?" He breathed out, not knowing how else to react.
"I'm from another world." His eyes widened even more, what? "I died and was reborn here." She died? She was reborn? Kakashi was having a hard time understanding what his friend was saying. "Kakashi? Hey, say something." She got closer to him, poking his bandaged cheek. He'd refused to get it healed saying that it represented his first and only loss.
Kakashi frowned, swatting at her hand. "Why? Why are you telling me this?"
Kida shrugged looking to her pups, they were sniffing around the area, making sure no Zombies snuck up on them. "You're my best friend."
He turned away as his face warmed up.

Kida reached around him and pressed the yes. Kakashi's eyes widened when he saw words and bars floating above Kida's head.

Kida chuckled and explained her powers.
Kakashi stared at her blankly. "The Gamer? Seriously? That's why you're so much better than me? How you can improve so fast?"
Kida smiled nervously, nodding at him. Kakashi sighed. "Ok, so what now?"
She cocked her head in confusion. "You're not mad?" She'd honestly expected more of a freak out, like her parents.
Kakashi rolled his eyes. "Am I mad that the Uchiha have the Sharingan? Or that the Hyuga have the Byakugan? Or that the Nara are all natural geniuses? No, then why would I be mad you have an extra power?"
Kida's eyes widened. 'Huh, I hadn't thought of it that way.'
She smiled at her friend before throwing her arms around him, glomping the squawking boy. It took a few minutes before the girl released the grumbling boy.
Kida giggled at his indignant face as he stood further from her with arms crossed, adorable pout in place.
"Ok Kakashi, say 'Profile'"
Kakashi did as he was told and several signs appeared.
Kakashi sat on a nearby roof, reading over his 'Profile' with Kida slumped over him explaining how things worked. He could hardly believe Kida had been teaching him an actual language. "You didn't have these things before you joined the party. I mean, you had the titles, but not the perks."
At Kakashi's questioning look she pointed out what was different. "You had the title prodigy, but not the benefits of gaining stats every level."
"Ah."
Kakashi frowned at his health and Chakra points. He looked at Kida's info above her head. "Your HP is higher than mine, but my CP is higher than yours, how come?"
She pulled up her profile, setting it next to Kakashi's. "See our HP and CP are determined by a lot of factors. My HP is higher because I'm an Inuzuka and we work more on Taijutsu, while the Hatake have higher CP because of your use of Ninjutsu."
Kakashi looked thoughtful. "So if we had the exact same stats I would have a higher CP and you would have a higher HP?"

"I just got an INT point." Kakashi looked at the changes on his CP. It rose a bit, but not a lot.
Kida smiled. "Yeah you get points when you exercise each stat. Studying and making up strategies helps with INT and WIS, so does Meditation. Body conditioning helps VIT, AGI, and STR, and gambling helps with LUK." She explained. "You can probably beat someone of higher level with just higher stats and you can beat more powerful creatures if you have higher INT."
Of course Kakashi already knew that. It's what he had tried to do to her a few nights ago.
"Why is your recovery so high?" He huffed, she was in the triple digits with her recovery.
"The Gamer lets me recover Chakra unlike normal people, who actually have to rest for several days."
Kakashi continued going through his profile while Kida fiddled with the party member settings. She changed the experience gain from Equal distribution to Fair play. This way they would gain experience based on the amount of work they put into whatever they were doing instead of it getting split between the two.
Kida waited till Kakashi was done exploring his profile before throwing an apple at him from her Inventory. He frowned, catching the fruit before it hit him in the face.
"Eat, then we'll start on training."
"Ok, so in the dungeon if you kill a hundred Zombies, then a more powerful monster arrives. I personally haven't seen it but we'll see." Kida smirked. "Lets see who can kill the most Zombies."

Kakashi matched her grin, this was gonna be fun. Kakashi turned and tried to jump away only for a hand on the back of his shirt collar to yank him back onto the roof making him choke. "What do you think you're doing?" Kakashi coughed glaring up at Kida. "You can't just attack all recklessly like that. I mean you don't even know what you're fighting, and you're still in your Pj's. I mean, are yah trying to get killed?"
Kakashi slapped her hand away standing up. "You fight them all the time! They can't be that hard for me to kill!"
Kida rolled her eyes. "That's cause I've been hunting them for a while. I know how they work." Kida sighed, she didn't want Kakashi fighting in the real world with such recklessness. "When we first came into the dungeon. Zoran broke off from the group and as a result I almost died." Kakashi's eyes widened. "Kakashi, if you act recklessly you'll get yourself killed and you'll put your team in danger."
Kakashi took a deep shuddering breath before nodding. "Ok what do we do?"
Kida smiled satisfied for now. "First off you need to get dressed." Kida pulled out his overnight bag she'd stashed in her inventory before bed. Once he got his training gear on, it was really just grey cargo shorts and a black jacket, she led him to a group of Zombies. Kida observed the Zombies and let Kakashi read over it. He looked through the Zombies profile, grimacing. If Kida hadn't stopped him and he'd gotten scratched or bitten, he'd be in big trouble.
"Ok, you ready?" Kakashi smirked, pulling out his training tanto.
They jumped away from each other, running in search of more Zombies. Kida let out a whistle, calling for her Ninken. Within seconds her pups found her. "How many did yah kill?" 25, what's going on? "Gotta kill more than Kakashi," Kida smiled wildly. Her pups laughed as they began ripping through Zombies. They needed at least 38 kills to beat Kakashi.
Kida smirked when she killed the last Zombie. 43 kills and she's won.

They watched with a mixture of fascination and horror as the monster formed. The Zombies all over town rose into the air and smashed themselves together into a giant ball of rotting flesh. The more Zombies joined the ball, the more a discernible shape appeared, until finally there was a 100 meter giant, featureless, grey creature. It had a wide mouth dripping with saliva and big glowing red eyes. The scent was near overwhelming.

Oh, oh no! Kida we gotta run! Kida! Zoran! Sessh cried when he saw the stars in the girls' eyes. "C'mon Sessh it'll be great!" The poor pup just slumped over in resignation. They went off in search of Kakashi.
She found Kakashi on a roof staring at the Legion Zombie with his mouth hanging open. "Your gonna catch flies like that silly."
Kakashi turned to her with a scowl. "What, and I cannot stress this enough, the fuck is that!" Kida laughed as he pointed at the howling Titan. It wasn't often the boy resorted to cursing.
"That is the Legion Zombie. The boss of this dungeon." Kida grinned. "Obviously defeating it will give us a ton of EXP. So how about a little game?" They all looked at her in confusion. Why do I get the feeling this is gonna suck? Kida giggled at Sessh's groan. "Whoever gets the most damage gets everyone's desert tomorrow." Even Sessh looked interested.
They studied the rotting titan shuffling around searching for them. Kida tapped her lip trying to think of how to best take the beast down. It's slow, but it's strong with a high defense so definitely Gatsuuga, Dual Piercing Fang, for attacking and dodging. Her pups don't have enough Chakra to sustain it for long so they would have to take turns in attacking. She nodded to herself before turning to Kakashi, who was taking out Ninja Wire.
"Ready?" He nodded. "On your mark, get set, Go!" Kida smirked when the others jumped away, moving toward the legion Zombie. "Doton: Earth Wall!" Kida slammed her hands on the ground sending her Chakra out to create a 20 foot wall in front of the titan. "The greater they are," The giant tripped over the wall, roaring as it fell. It hit the ground with a thunderous sound and making the earth shake, creating a Zombie shaped crater. "The harder they fall." Kida smirked when she saw the fall had dealt 12,289 HP damage. Looks like she was in the lead.
She glanced at her party's status; they were fine. Annoyed and terrified, but fine. Kida waited till the monster got to its knees before activating Gatsuuga. She could only keep it active for a few seconds, so she had to get close enough before activating it each time. They didn't need Dynamic Marking for the technique since the rotting flesh of the legion Zombie was enough of a guiding system. Kakashi was using explosive tags, 'Holyshitthatsawesome', to destroy its legs over and over. They worked on hacking away at its health for the rest of the night, carefully dodging its flailing limbs. Everytime they destroyed a limb it regenerated, but at least it didn't recover HP.
They were almost out of time, morning was coming in the real world and they needed to go home. Kida fell out of Gatsuuga, landing in a crouch on one of the few still standing houses. Nearly all of them had been destroyed by their combined attacks.
She needed to wait for her Chakra to recover to attack again. The titan had less than a thousand HP. They had all gotten a few close calls from the beast's flailing limbs, but since they were faster they always managed to dodge on time. 'Looks like they're doing ok,' she thought as she studied her party's status. They were all resting in different areas of the destroyed town. Just as Kida was about to attack again she heard a long loud whistle. She frowned and headed toward the sound. She landed next to Kakashi on a roof, her Ninken arriving seconds later.
The boy was smirking, his attention on the Boss monster. Her eyes widened when suddenly the Zombie tripped. Its legs wrapped with ninja wire. As it hit the ground explosions were set off.
Kida laughed as the monster was engulfed in flames. When the smoke cleared there was nothing left.

She pulled out the book and absorbed the skill.
