The first night there was as awkward as it could be. They felt very uncomfortable, even though they spent all day together, talking, having fun without any feeling of awkwardness. And Meredith was happy that after all that happened between them they could still be Meresith and Derek, now they were like.. Friends. No one was crossing a line, they kept in almost neutral. It was all that needed. She missed him and he did too, they were finally together without being that.

But at the end of fourth day she was becoming very mad, like crazy angry. He wasn't touching her, he wasn't flirting, he didn't even hug her, he didn't try to get in the bed with her. That's what was bothering her. He said that he loves her, but now they were hardly even friends. He took care of her, trying to make sure she felt good after the surgery and during the recovery time, but all that crap was getting to her. What if he can't unsee a patient in her? Like he'd seen her brain open, cleaned up her vomit before the surgery and had seen her lifeless body, of course, he doesn't find her attractive anymore. That's natural and she shouldn't be so surprised.

And now they were out, fishing. At least he was, and Meredith was sitting in the chair beside him, reading some anatomy book. Now she was trying to get her life back and she still has to pass an intern exam in order not to repeat her intern year again. Actually, it was hard to focus on the anatomy of lungs when Derek Shepherd, the man she loved and wanted, was standing right in front of her, being ridiculously hot. Only he can pull off being sexy during fishing. She couldn't take eyes from him. All jokes aside, he really was hot, she always loved watching him, especially in surgery, neurosurgery is fucking hot. And sexy.

Finally, he caught a trout, so they could go back to the trailer to have some dinner and call it a day, because honestly, it was a long day and they both were tired. Meredith was kinda disappointed, because she wanted to watch him a bit more, but on the other hand, he will cook, so she could enjoy it a bit longer. They entered a trailer, still silent.

"So, how is your head? Any headaches or nausea?" he said softly, interrupting her thoughts.

"No, nothing like that for a long time, I feel nice, even great. I have more energy every day" she replied, looking at him.

"Your recovery is actually much faster that I thought it'd be. You're doing more than good, Meredith" he turned back to the stove and continued to cook. She bit her lower lip watching how good navy blue shirt hugged his back, every muscle. And there it was. She couldn't take it anymore. No more hiding and pretending. She needs to know.

She quickly got up and wrapped her hands around his waist, hugging him tightly and closing her eyes. He could hear her heart beating rapidly in her chest. He closed his eyes and smelled her scent in, it felt like home, little shivers ran down his spine. It was too long since they touched like that. He was scared and he was feeling guilty but it all disappeared when she touched him. The woman is driving him crazy. She will be a death of him.

He didn't think much and he didn't want to. Derek just turned around and looked at her incredible emerald eyes and didn't say anything. There was something bothering her, he saw that. She broke the silence, tearing up.

"Derek, I can't take it anymore, it's exhausting, because I have feelings for you and clearly they're not mutual and you see me as a patient and you don't love me anymore, I get that, but please just... just.. say it or do something ple-…"

She didn't have a chance to finish, because he attacked her lips with his own. She was surprised, she definitely did not expect that. He kissed her like his life depends on it, like he has never touched a woman before, she kissed him back and they were sharing the most passionate kiss in their lives. It felt so damn right. He carefully bit her lower lip and she moaned in his mouth. She felt his smirk on her lips.

Then he picked her up, she quickly wrapped her legs around his waist, she knew that touch already and missed it like hell, he carried her carefully so she could sit on the kitchen counter and they continued to kiss, he parted her lips, so he could caress her tongue with his, she almost felt like she's going to blow up right now. The tension was unbearable. Derek's skillful hands were exploring, they were everywhere, her face, head, back, arms, hips. They felt it everywhere, this kiss, no one wanted to come up for the air, but then he finished the kiss only to start kissing her neck, she tilted her head back and moaned loudly, she didn't want to be quiet or hide the way she felt. No more hiding and pretending indeed. He licked her skin and nibbed it, neither one of them wanted this to end. Maybe they can stay here forever, kissing. Screw everything else. But then they felt the smoke coming from the forgotten trout.

"Damn, Derek, trout… it's burning" she pulled away reluctantly, trying to make her voice confident, but it was trembling, because of all that happened before.

"I don't care" he kissed her again, but she didn't kiss him back.

"The trout, Derek " she chuckled.
