AN: Hey there everyone, the Poll results are in and the fandom to be the focus in the next cycle is Harry Potter, which is honestly surprising as RWBY was the leader from the start till out of nowhere Harry Potter just jumped in the rankings and eclipsed EVERYTHING.

AN2: There is another poll up right now for this story about what Gaea's form should be. It'll be up there until my next post (Shadow of the Force) at which point the Poll for which Harry Potter story to be focused on next will go up.

Son of the Moon

Chapter 49

Omake: Halloween Special

The Camp was abuzz with laughter as the evening drew closer. Since his first quest the gods had gotten better at sending their kids to camp and claiming them causing the population of demigods to grow far beyond what anyone had seen at the camp. With the larger numbers came demigods who were still children with the attitudes and desires of children. Thus, Chiron had arranged a trick or treating at the camp for the young demigods while the older one could have fun at a festival.

"Percy!" the voice of Bianca called from outside his cabin "You ready!"

"Coming!" he called back, his voice changed by the mask he wore. Stepping out into the bustling camp he looked around at the myriad of decorations for the festive holiday. Saw floating jack o' lanterns of every size and design floating around, people in costume mingling and laughing, children squealing in joy as they went from place to place for candy.

"Darksiders Death huh?" Bianca remarked with a teasing grin as she took in his costume, "Careful there Perce, your nerd is showing." Chuckling he rolled his shoulders, the cloak around them rustling while the scythes at his back clanked happily.

"You're one to talk." he chuckled, lifting up his mask to steal a kiss from his love "Miranda Lawson though? I didn't know you were into Sci-Fi."

"A girl has her secrets." She teased before grabbing his hand and leading him off "I heard that the gods are going to come to the festival as well tonight.

"Oh, this I have to see." He laughed, "Think they'll join the costume contest?" a loud boom cut off any response as they turned to see Beckendorf walking around in a hydraulic Ironman Hulk-Buster suit.

"Seems like someone wants to win." Bianca chuckled as they moved on, looking about for their friends in various costumes.

Nico, they found trying to look intimidating in a Ghost Rider outfit, complete with flames, although it was somewhat ruined by the fact that the son of Hades kept getting flustered by his girlfriend teasing him with her Black Widow costume.

They spotted Clarisse painted to look like She-Hulk, gambling candy with others over arm wrestling contests where the daughter of Ares was of course dominating.

Will was dressed up like Green Arrow and clearly enjoying himself with Nyssa on his arm in a Black Canary costume. That enjoyment was quickly dried up by Hulk-Buster Beckendorf noticing them and being protective big brother much to the amusement of everyone else in the vicinity.

When the gods arrived, Percy wasn't able to hold back his laughter at some of the costumes. He saw his grandparents dressed as Thor and Lady Sif from the Marvel movies, his mom dressed as a Vampire, Aphrodite was there was the purpled haired Camilla from the Fire Emblem Games, and even Hermes was there as Loki. But by far the most amusing costumes were Lord Hades dressing up as his Disney Counterpart, and even acting the part, while Apollo dressed up as Johnny Bravo.

"Is your dad actually dressed up as himself?" he wheezed as the gods began to mingle, the older demigods who remembered how things used to be shocked at the action even as the divine beings were swarmed by their younger children, all clamoring for attention.

"And here I thought Zeus was supposed to be the one with the ego." Bianca snickered as they watched the gods go about, Apollo actually taking a group of his children to trick or treat around the camp, all the older demigods having been given a bag of candy that could be used to give to trick or treating children as they wandered the camp.

"Trick or treat!" a happy little voice called out as they looked down at the beaming child, front tooth missing and grin a mild long, holding out an open bag.

"Hey there cutie," Bianca ruffled his hair as they gave him some candy "what are you supposed to be?"

The kid drew a wooden training sword painted bronze and took up a stance "I'm Percy Jackson!" he declared before running off, leaving the real Percy slack jawed at what they had just seen while Bianca giggled, likely knowing what his expression was.

"Oh, that's adorable!" Bianca giggled as they entered the festival proper, the smell of baked goods and pumpkin everything filling the air, the screams of fear and delight from carnival rides and scare houses carrying through the merry air.

"There was a kid dressed as me." He repeated dumbly, still wrapping his mind around that concept that a child would dress up as him for Halloween.

"There are probably several," Bianca shrugged as they bought some caramel apples "you're the hero of heroes to the demigods here Percy, little kids are going to look up to you."

"Still a weird feeling," he admitted as they looked at the different stalls "I never expected to hold this kind of awe at the camp."

"Nobody did," Bianca told him, clutching his arm possessively as they passed a stage where the daughters of Aphrodite, all in revealing costumes, were holding a 'charity auction' with themselves as the prizes, "but that's probably why it's so impactful. Before you arrived everyone just went about their business as always. There hadn't been a quest in years, there hadn't been a major threat in decades. Most just trained in the summer and went home for school for the rest of the year. Then you show up and save the world, then the camp, then your mother. We live in interesting times and with you at the head of change people will remember you."

"You're right." he groaned, having never wanted the excessive fame he was now saddled with. Just being able to be in the Hunt with his friends and girlfriend would have been a happy life for him.

"I'm always right." Bianca preened before giving him a grin that made him shiver "Now come on, you win me some prizes and I'll give you your own Halloween treat later."

"Ma'am yes ma'am."

-Omake: the creation of Percy Jackson-

-The Fates-

"Easy, easy!" Clotho urged her sisters, all of them working as carefully as possible to craft the next Hero of Prophecy "We only have one chance at this."

"We know!" Lachesis snapped, stirring a large cauldron containing the essence of what would form the soul of the next great Hero, Atropos walking over with a crucible clutched tightly in tongs, a bubbling liquid held within.

"What's left?" Atropos asked, carefully pouring in the molten mixture from the Crucible as it entered the cauldron. Within the bubbling mass of liquid energy in the black cauldron's stomach they could see flashes of images, a demigod fighting in war and other stranger quests. Was he charging giant fire ants next to a barely held together dragon automaton?

"Yes," Clotho went to a shelf and pulled out an iron chest, wrapped tight with chains "the essence of power and bravery, the life blood of a hero."

"So, the badass powder?" Atropos asked with an impish grin as Clotho's eye twitched and Lachesis snickered.

"Yes, the 'badass powder'." Clotho growled out through gritted teeth, less than pleased by her sister's term for the mixture which made the souls of the heroes they crafted powerful and courageous, formed natural leaders and heroes.

"How much should we add?" Lachesis asked as they undid the chains, lifting the lid of the chest to reveal a glass vial of crystals and powder.

"Slightly more than normal," Clotho ordered as they drew forth the sealed vial "he will be fighting Titans and Giants after all. But we must be careful not to-" the sound of cracking glass silenced her as all three looked at the ancient vial, it's bottom broken away with age and the first movement it had felt in centuries. Heroes they crafted were usually at most only given a pinch, two for those like the one they had been carefully crafting to stop the return of Kronos. Now though, the entire vial's contents lay floating atop the bubbling mixture before dissolving in.

"…Oops." Atropos gulped as the cauldron began to shake and glow before, with a flash, their mixture vanished to enter the world as a living soul.

"Well…" Lachesis glanced at the tapestry of Fate "this will be interesting." As she spoke she could see the threads vibrating, the future unsure at what will come with this new hero. Far away in the mortal world a child began to cry, his first sounds as he left his mother's womb before his eyes snapped open, a brilliant and powerful green. Perseus Jackson, had been born.
