Chapter 11
When she saw his contact, she was not in too much of a hurry to reply him, instead took her time to do what she must first, and contact her family.
There was many things that she had not told many, except those that had been with her all these while as Kagome went through a number of cycles of her lives, surviving to get through. Meido Group was set up from about after the time period when she first fell through the well.
When she got to replying him, it was most probably the next day for Kyoya in Japan whilst it is night from where she is. They would be apart from one another for about 4 years or so, maybe it will be a better test of time and distance for the both of them.
During the time period that they are studying, it was impossible for them to meet, and when they did, it was only for a few days and then they parted ways. About a year or so into their communication, she introduced him to her family, mainly her daughter, and that was about the last time that she saw of him visiting her in the States.
For the first few weeks or so, Kyoya would still communicate with her, however subsequently after about the second week, his replies slowed to once a day and then disappeared and ended.
She had thought nothing much of it and sometimes take the initiative to ask on him, but in the end was met with silence, and that was also when she deleted his number and data from her phone after much quiet waiting and silence in communication.
Working alongside of studying, there was nothing much that Kagome does about all day in and out, maybe except for the occasional trips back to Japan to spend some times with her family before the term starts again. Life is like a repetition one after another that she had long ago gotten used to it.
Occasionally, she would sometimes think about the time that she had spent with him, but smiled and turned her thoughts in other directions. Her phone no longer showed notification from him or anyone from Ouran High, only friends from her previous schools and the new ones that she made whilst working and travelling about.
A year passed, and she had since finally made it known who she is via the interview magazines for entrepreneurs. All it took was for Kyoya to listen to such news when he was abroad studying, to figure out what she had been doing and things finally started to click together. How she has such capabilities was something that he had not expected of in the first place, or even after getting to know her.
They are both now about to enter into the 3rd year of their studies, and he has yet to pick up his phone to reply to her last message to him. She is getting far beyond his reaches with their capabilities. Even if it were to be a simple reply or message to her, he could not bring himself to, constantly internally fighting with himself, even typing the message out and then deleting it away before he could have it sent out.
He still remembered that the first time that they agreed to try dating, the few things that she had mentioned to him before they give it a go, of their possible obstacles. He had not really thought it through or much of it until now, everything that he had ever done was for the Ootori family and the recognition of his father for him to be a possible candidate as an heir.
Though those he had put an end to the thought of being the next family patriarch, now he felt the slow stirring of heavy responsibilities, recognition, and the person who he had neglected on purpose in recent. He glanced to his phone, unsure of himself and then at his laptop where various things are displayed on it as he studied the information on it.
