Inuyasha crossover Ouran High School Host Club
Chapter 13
"This is a coincidence," Kagome commented dryly as she walked by Kyoya in her school campus.
"Can we please talk."
She stopped in her steps, "I did wait, that was years ago," and continued walking away from him.
He watches her walked towards someone that he had not much expected, let alone to pick her up as he followed after her, rushing to catch up to her strides.
"You've a follower."
"Yes, young Ootori has decided that he wants to converse," Kagome comment as she glance side-wards at the approaching person.
"Young Ootori," Shippo greeted with coy.
"Mr Gitsune."
"Looks like you two are acquainted, we are running late for our lunch, goodbye Mr Ootori," the dismissal was fast and quick.
Shippo however had no intention and held her back by his side with his arms around of her waist. She looked at him from the corner of her eyes, but otherwise said and did nothing. Kyoya however, had a blank look upon his face as he looked at them, and where Shippo's hand laid on.
Kagome stepped away from Shippo and walked towards where he would usually park his car as she leave the two on their own. This was not something that she wants part of, better to not have expectations at least.
Kyoya however was still formulating his own intel from watching the two of them, their behaviour close and intimate, the trust is there, and unlike how she was when with him, he could see her putting full trust in Shippo Gitsune.
"Kyoya Ootori, if you are unable to accept her fully and take care of your own obstacles, then you are not worthy of her."
He was left standing alone as Kyoya watched him disappeared from around the corner like Kagome. He hesitate, almost always when it comes to decisions when involving her. This time was the same as the last time. His family, just like what she had mentioned on his obstacles.
"You're being too nice to him."
"You want me to."
She took a sip of her drink.
"You're hopeful," he told her with a smile.
"Do not put your hopes on it."
"You are still hopeful," he said in a sing-song manner.
"Your tone irks me."
"I'm your conscious."
"If you have one in the right state."
Though that was also about the last time that Kagome saw of Kyoya, and just like that, he disappeared again from her sight. There were a few thoughts on it from her, but perhaps she is too cynical about it.
Her life went back as per normal, from after he disappeared, and this is no different from then. They were both just a short leap away from their graduation, and after that, her life will still go on as per normal, like always, with her family and those that she love.
And he was just one of the many she had tried dating and had hoped that it may come to fruition, these days she stop hoping and believing in them, simply because she is tired of how fickle they all are.
"He will be back."
"Hm, interesting."
"We should put on a show."
"Don't waste my time."
"It will be fun."
"Not interested."
He pouted, "You cleaned out all the fun."
"Mnnh…So you've pointed out in recent."
And apparently a few days later as she was facing 'Shippo' for dinner, she scowled obviously at being tricked.
"I'm leaving."
"Please stay, I'm sorry for disappearing on you."
"…"
"Maybe we can discuss this over dinner."
"I'm not convinced, fortunately for you Mr Ootori you have tonight free up."
She stood picking her clutch as she turned.
"No, please, I really want us to talk. Anything, I can prove to you."
She stopped, turned her heels on him and pointed her clutch in his chest, "I think the years of waiting is enough, months was enough."
"No, please, let's talk," grabbing her hand and clutch in his hands as he tried to draw her closer. "Please."
"You had your chances."
"No, Kagome…We really should talk it over dinner, please."
