Inuyasha crossover Ouran High School Host Club
Chapter 14
"You set me up."
"You had dinner with him."
"So what of it."
"You gave him a chance."
"Stop interfering, I'm not your entertainment."
"Sadly, and 'no' to bo-"
Beep
Shippo look at his phone at the 'beep' of her ending the call and smiled knowing that he gotten to her. They both did.
Kagome did nothing but to observe him, barely touching her food much as she took her glass of wine.
"What else is there to talk about," she dryly asked looking at their surroundings but barely looking at him straight in the eyes.
He did not eat much either despite of how highly recommended the place comes and their celebrity chef.
"I want us to start over again."
"And we cannot rewind time, not anymore."
"Then let's restart from a new point."
"There is no telling when you will disappear again. And I do not need that to happen again, not from anyone."
"It will not, I can guarantee that."
"You cannot."
She held up a hand to stop him from saying more, "You've the remainder 70 years of your life if you are lucky, I want someone more than that."
"Goodbye Mr Ootori, may you find the one that will last you through your lifetime," she stood to walk away.
"I will prove it."
She did not say anything aside from a single glance and a turn of her head as she fished for her phone out of her bag, and that was also the last time she had expected to see him.
Life went on as per normal, graduation and all. Working full-time on her business(s), the occasional meet up with some friends, other than that, and the daily flowers, and notes that were sent to her office.
"Separate the stalks out and give to everyone," was her order when they first gotten the flowers. His notes, after a glance, she would throw them away.
Until one of the days she was met with him when she was about the leave the building after her days' work. She stopped in her step, a frown on her face as her.
"You did not reply, and this was the only way," he told her as he walked up to her, with a large bouquet of flowers in his hand.
"Does the Ootori family not have many things for you to learn and manage for them," she dryly commented a hint of ire in her tone as she glanced at him before typing and tapping away on her phone.
"There is, it is manageable," he told her. "I've made reservations for dinner for us tonight."
"I did not agree to it," as she walked towards him to walk by him.
Kyoya grabbed for her wrist though not forceful but firm enough to not let her walk away from him.
"I've plans tonight."
"I am somewhat aware of it."
"Good, then good bye," was all she said as she pulled her wrist free to continue on with her plans.
"And I do know that you still have time left before your late night plans."
Kagome narrowed her eyes at him, "Very resourceful Mr Ootori, however that is my personal lift, and you have no right to search into it."
"I know, and I'm sorry, I'm just des-"
"I'm running late," she dismissed him and with some force, she freed her wrist from his grip.
"Drinks tonight, it is not something you can count as a date."
"Since you are going to find out, I'm out to go clubbing with a few lady friends of mine, I'm sure those scene are beneath you Mr Ootori. It will not do well should your family find out about the places that you have been hanging about. So unless you are planning on being found out by them young Mr Ootori, I would suggest you keep a distance from the bad influence that is me."
She saw his hesitation, and shook her head in a silent mocking manner.
Kyoya, he was surprise with how much she is saying in one go when lately she hardly spoke much to him, let alone a few sentences together.
"Let this be the last then Mr Ootori."
And she got into the car that pulled up before of them as she got in before he could stop her again. She did not so much as to look at him standing there. By the end of dinner and after her few rounds of drinks with her friends, she started to loosen up and about forget her the person who walked back into her life.
She was not wrong when she said that this type of place is beneath him, it was more that he was uncomfortable with the scene as he went into the crowd to scan it for her. It took a while due to his discomfort of the scene not being something that he is used to, and he nearly bumped into her.
Keeping his distance amongst the crowd as he watches her dance, Kyoya was feeling awkward and out of the place. The way that she moves stirred a fire in his pit, the thought of it made him flushed as Kyoya stood still where he was despite causing some inconveniences and protest to the ones around of him.
He wanted to cut in on her, but instead someone else got a leg up before of him as he took a step back and watch what she will do.
"Push him away," he kept repeating that in his mind as he watches them danced intimately together despite of the small gap between them.
However his patience ran thin and he approached them, and cut in.
