Ch 40 Final Task Pt 2
Ritsuka stood at the starting line where Victor, Cedric, and Fleur took their places on the line. "Before we start, Professor Moody has placed the goblet within the maze, only he knows where it lies. Another thing I instructed the school's staff within the maze incase of a champion is either lost or injured during this task, all they have to do cast a red spark to singles them to your location, Now everyone takes your marks!" McGonagall said as each champion look at the path before them, "Get set…GO!" She said as the cannon that Filch oversaw went off making the Champions ran off into the dark maze as the entrance close behind them.
Ritsuka delved deeper into the maze as the thick fog rolled in causing the path before he disappears. "Damn," he cursed as he reaches into his pockets taking out a yellow gem. He activates his magic circuits "Licht," as the gem gives off a dim yellow glow. He checked his command seals where only two were there. "The second seal returns, that's good." He said to himself as he continues onwards to the maze. As he was walking in the dense fog it reminded him of Jack's Noble Phantasm a bit except for the poison air part, he made a right when a spell went passed him. Ritsuka springs into action as he shot three gems at the person who cast the spell. "Vait, it's just me Director!" the voice sound familiar to him.
The figure came out of the fog revealing to be Fleur with her hands up. "Fleur, you scared me when you shot that spell," he said lowering his arm, Fleur lowers her arms as she made her way to him. "Director Fujimaru, I got word from my father about the situation. Both I and my zister is ready for combat." She said to the master. "Glad to hear that, Fleur now shall we continue?" He said to the French student. She giggles as she ran past him waving bye, for now, Ritsuka went off in the opposite direction. Cedric ran through the mazes before stopping as he looks behind him, the hedges are coming together and seem to be heading to his direction.
Cedric quickly turn back and ran as fast as he could before he can be trapped between the hedges. The hedges were closing into him before Cedric miraculously slip through them. He pants hands on his knees catching his breath. He looks around the area to see where he is at within the maze. Then a scream caught his ears as he quickly heads over where the scream originated from, he turns to a corner and saw Fleur being dragged away by some brambles that came from the hedges. "FLEUR!" Cedric cried out as he took out his wand, "Incen-" "Expelliarmus!" his wand was shot out of his hand falling behind him, Cedric turn to see Victor with pure white iris in his eyes, he moves closer to the Hufflepuff wands glowing green. "Victor, it's me! Cedric, snap out of it!" he said to the bewitched Durmstrang student as he is unresponsive to Cedric pleas,
"Avada Kedavra!" he cried out as Cedric dodge the spell, he looks at Fleur who is still struggling to be free then looks behind him to see his wand. Cedric made a break for it to retrieve it but another curse was shot near it. "Damn it!" he cursed as he stumbles back. Victor was getting closer to the champion "Avada Kedavra!" He cried as the spell went to the champion. Cedric closes his eyes ready to meet his fate before a large blue gem-like shield blocks the spell. "What the?" then a couple of red gems went flying over to wear Fleur was hitting the brambles as it lit on fire freeing the French girl in the process. A familiar voice to the three champions came from the dense fog "Heed my call, come to me, Shielder!" A red glow admits from the fog as a glow of a summoning circle appears on the maze's dirt path. Cedric, Fleur, and a bewitch Victor shut their eyes due to the bright light.
The light was bright enough to be seen from the starting point of the final task. Mashu looked at the light from the distance within the hedge maze and knew that it was her boyfriend. "Was that Ritsuka making that light?" Hermoine asked the servants. Sherlock smiles as he closed his eyes, "Indeed Ms. Granger, my guess is that someone is attacking him or another Champion is being attacked and master is defending him or her." He said receive surprised looks from everyone except for the servants. "Then we must help Ritsuka, if he is in trouble then we must help him." Ginny said as she got up before Moriarty grabs her arm, she looks back at the crime lord "Archer, what are you doing?" she asked.
"Ms. Weasley, our master is capable of defending himself. If he knows that he is outmatched then he will call us by his side, and if I'm correct then he already called someone." Moriarty said as Ginny sat back down in her seat. "Then who did he called?" Neville asked behind them. "I believe it was Shielder, I remember Ritsuka was talking to him when I was passing by with some documents to Mr. Animusphere. He was talking about needing help in this task." She said as they looked over to the maze. "I do hope they'll be alright." She said to herself, she looks over to Mashu who held her hands on her chest hoping he will be safe.
Cedric opens his eyes to see a light grey man young man with bronze eyes wearing dark armor and purple garments attach to it and a sword strapped on his waist. "I have seen you before," He said to the knight. "Cedric Diggory Hogwarts's champion, a pleasure to meet you. Now master who is our opponent?" The Shielder asked his master. "Shielder, I need you to take out Victor; he is being controlled by another." He said as the servant made his move to the bewitched wizard. Victor shot multiple of spells at the incoming enemy as he dodges every spell he can cast, Victor gritted his teeth as he raised his wand "Bombarda Maxima!" he cast the spell at him,
Galahad summons his shield before him causing the spell exploded on impact. Victor opens his eyes to see him standing behind the cross-shaped shield only to be thrust forward at him. Upon impact Victor was knocked out and fell on the ground. Ritsuka quickly went over to him with a white gem in his hands. He placed the gem on top of Victor as a small circle appears below him causing his body to glow white before it went away. Fleur sighed in relief that Ritsuka freed Victor before Galahad helped her up to her feet. "Are you hurt, lady Delacour?" the servant asked her. "Yes, thank you Shielder." She said brushing off the dirt on her.
Ritsuka checked his vitals as he smiles, he walked over to Fleur and Galahad. "Fleur, I need you to take Victor back to the starting point. While I get the grail." He said to her. Fleur nodded as she went over to the unconscious Victor Krum. "Consider it done, Director." She said as she cast a red light in the sky. "Let's go," Ritsuka said as he and Galahad walked to the center before Cedric steps in front of him. "Wait, Ritsuka; I don't know what's going on, but it seems that the goblet is the center of all of it." He said as Ritsuka looked at him with a serious look on his face. "Master, I believe that he is determined to go with us to the grail." His servant said making Ritsuka sighs. "Very well but stay close to us." He said to the Hufflepuff, they went on their way deep into the maze.
Cedric looked curiously at the servant who follows Ritsuka, "Um Shielder, how did you meet Ritsuka? I get you're a Heroic Spirit, just summoning spirits is impossible to do." Galahad looks back at the champion "Well in order to summon us, you need magic circuits in order to access the throne of heroes. Then you need a catalyst, or a special mineral only found in Antarctica." He said Cedric was fascinated by what the servant is saying. Ritsuka smiles at the fact someone is fascinated by the lore of magecraft. He then notices a light ahead of them as they moved closer. "Ritsuka, there's the goblet!" Cedric cried out as he ran ahead of him. Ritsuka stopped before it and turn to Galahad. "Shielder, I need you to go to your spirit form; I have this inkling feeling that nothing is right with the grail." He orders his servant. "Understood master," he demetallizes after Ritsuka went over to where the grail was.
The grail was covered in blue flames as cracks begin to spread. "I see so that's what he means when it's damaged," Ritsuka said as he observes the omnipotent wish granter, Cedric observes him as he looks around the goblet. "Damage? What do you mean by that?" Cedric asked. Ritsuka looks at him "The blue flames are leaking excess magic; dangerous if it does not contain properly." He explains to the champion. "You call the goblet a grail, do you mean the Holy Grail!? Like the one from Arthurian Legends!?" he exclaims seeing he really admires the legends. "Not exactly, it's not the one from the legends, this kind of grail is one that granted any wish that the person desire; but with a cost." Cedric look confused, this was the find of the century what could the cost be. "So, what's the cost?" "The cost is that the grails will distort human history both in the future, past and even the presents. The reason I participate in this tournament so I can safely secure the grail in the vault within Chaldea; or destroy it if it's compromised, luckily it seems it's not." He said as Cedric looks at the grail. "Take it,"
Ritsuka looks at his fellow champion "Why? Why are you letting me take it?" he asked. Cedric walked up to the grail and sigh. "I tell something isn't right about the goblet when I first laid eyes on it. It was giving a weird aura like it was carrying for help." He looks at the director "After what you told me, then it's only right to let you do your job." He said to him as Ritsuka walk to it then back at him, "You know, there are no rules saying that ties aren't allowed." He looks at the master as he smiles brightly, knows he understands why his servants are loyal to him, he finds a way between things making everyone satisfied. "On three," he said Ritsuka smiles "Two…one," they grab the grail as they were sent both champions to a graveyard. Ritsuka got up looking around his surroundings. "Cedric," he called out to him "I'm here, where are we?" he asked. "The final piece for our lord's return," they look to see where the voice is coming from and saw Death Eater surrounding them sitting on gravestones as they chuckle evilly. Rodolphus walk up to them as the statues behind them held them tight, "Welcome, Potter to our Lord's rebirth,"
